자유항주모형시험을 이용한 KCS 선형의 축척비별 조종성능에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Manoeuvrability of KCS with Different Scale Ratios by Free Running Model Test)

  • There have been many experimental studies on the manoeuvrability of KRISO Container Ship (KCS). However, the scale ratio of the model ship and the test procedure for each institute are slightly different, so direct comparison for the data is technically difficult to perform. This paper presents the manoeuvrability of the ship with different scale ratios: 1/65.8, 1/42.0, and 1/31.6 in model scale. KRISO conducted Free Running Model Tests (FRMT): 35° turning circle tests and 20/20(10/10) zigzag manoeuvring tests. The test results indicated that advance and tactical diameter in turning circle tests were similar, and overshoot angles in two zigzag manoeuvring tests increased as the model ship size increased. In addition, a basic concept for the FRMT method with an auxiliary X-thrust device was proposed so that the scale effect could be considered in model ship tests.

  • 일본 JAXA가 보유하고 있는 Blow down 방식의 초음속 풍동 "RAMSYS"를 이용하여 스크램제트 엔진 연소기의 연소시험을 수행하였다. 시험결과로 Cavity가 없는 경우보다 Cavity를 장착한 경우에 연소압력이 높게 나타나는 것으로 확인되었으며 본 연구를 통하여 새롭게 적용한 zigzag cavity는 가장 높은 연소압력을 보여 스크램제트엔진의 안정적인 운영에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Hybrid transformer means the distribution transformer, one of multi-function transformer equipped with the enhancement function of harmonics and unbalance. In other words, since existing transformer are equipped simply with transformation function only, a separated electric facility should be additionally installed in order to reduce the mutual harmonics and unbalance. Meanwhile, since hybrid transformer can perform the reduction of harmonics and unbalance as well as transformation function simultaneously through zigzag winding, it doesn't need any additional electric facility. This study addressed the issue of developing and testing the performance of a generator that would reduce the harmonics supplied to the grid when grid-connected with the output of a photovoltaic inverter for photovoltaic generation system.

Pulse Multiplication in Autotransformer Based AC-DC Converters using a Zigzag Connection

  • This paper deals with pulse multiplication in zigzag connected autotransformer based 12-pulse AC-DC converters feeding vector controlled induction motor drives (VCIMD) for improving the power quality at the point of common coupling (PCC) without using a Zero-Sequence-Blocking-Transformer (ZSBT). The proposed 24-pulse AC-DC converter is based on the principle of DC ripple re-injection technique for pulse multiplication and harmonic mitigation. The design of the autotransformer is carried out for the proposed AC-DC converter and the effect of load variation on VCIMD is also studied to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed AC-DC converter. Test results from a laboratory developed prototype, along with simulated results, are presented to validate the design and model of the proposed 24-pulse AC-DC converter.

3D 프린팅을 이용한 P LA+ 소재의 채움 패턴 및 밀도 변화에 따른 인장강도 연구 (A Study on Tensile Strength Dependent on Variation of Infill Pattern and Density of PLA+ Material Using 3D Printing)

  • Presently, 3D printers manufactured by material extrusion are economical and easy to use, so they are being used in various fields. However, this study conducted a tensile test on the infill pattern and density of the PLA+ material, due to the limitations of long printing time as well as low mechanical strength. The infill area for the infill density change was measured, using a vision-measuring machine for four infill patterns (concentric, zigzag, honeycomb, and cross) in which the nozzle path was the same for each layer. The tensile strength/weight[MPa/g] and tensile strength/printing time[MPa/min] of the tensile specimens were analyzed. In this study, efficient infill density and patterns are suggested, for cost reduction and productivity improvement. Consequently, it was confirmed that the infill area and infill percentage of the four patterns, were not constant according to the infill pattern. And the tensile strength of the infill density 40% of the honeycomb pattern and infill density 20% of the cross pattern, tended to highly consider the weight and printing time. Honeycomb and cross patterns could reduce the weight of the tensile specimen by 19.11%, 28.07%, as well as the printing time by 29.56%, 52.25%. Tensile strength was high in the order of concentric, zigzag, honeycomb, and cross patterns, considering the weight and printing time.

MPV 프레임의 피로수명 예측 (Fatigue Life Prediction of a Multi-Purpose Vehicle Frame)

  • Recently, for the development of vehicle structures and components there is a tendency to increase using numerical simulation methods compared with practical tests for the estimation of the fatigue strength. In this study, an integrated powerful methodology is suggested for fatigue strength evaluation through development of the interface program to integrate dynamic analysis quasi-static stress analysis and fatigue analysis, which were so far used independently. To verify the presented evaluation method, a single and zigzag bump run test, 4-post road load simulation and driving durability test have been performed. The prediction results show a good agreement between analysis and test. This research indicates that the integrated life prediction methodology can be used as a reliable design tool in the pre-prototype and prototype development stage, to reduce the expense and time of design iteration.

A New Sea Trial Method for Estimating Hydrodynamic Derivatives

  • Estimation efficiencies according to different sea trial are investigated in connection with sensitivity analysis, and new trial method is proposed which can improve the estimation efficiency of hydrodynamic derivatives. MMG Equation with Kijima's formula is used for simulation. Extended Kalman Filter is chosen for estimation technique and hydrodynamic derivatives of interest is limited to 12 of those in sway and yaw equations. Esso Osaka is selected for the test ship. Sensitivity analysis and estimation results based on conventional trials show that a more sensitive derivative gives more efficient estimation result. Sensitivities of nonlinear derivatives become pronounced in the trial where steady condition lasts longer such as turning test, while sensitivities of linear derivatives gas a larger values in the trial where unsteady condition lasts longer such as 10deg-10deg zigzag test. Consequently, in new method , named S-type trial, steady and unsteady condition are combined appropriately to increase sensitivities. Linear derivatives are estimated better in S-type trial and the estimation of nonlinear derivatives is improved to extent.

실습선 가야호의 조종성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Maneuverabilities of the T.S. Kaya)

  • It is necessary for navigator to understand sufficiently maneuverabilities based on experiences and the data which were gotten from several tests of the ship when he maneuver his vessel. By the way most navigators used to rely on his experiences or feelings only maneuvering ship. But when he encounters situations he did not experience before he may be in difficulties. So navigator must get both experiences and data based on experimental results. In this paper author performs several tests such as turning test, Zig-zag test and spiral test to provide informations of maneuverabilities for navigators. The obtained results are as follows: There occurs almost no difference in size of the turning circle by the changes of ship's speeds. The scale of the turning circle was decreased exponentially when the rudder angle was increased. The maneuverabilities is better turning to starboard side than to port side. Maneuverabilities are more effective when the rudder is used to small angle than to large angle. As a result of spiral test course stability was comparatively seemed to be good.

배치 형태에 따른 사각형 복합 인공어초의 침하 및 세굴 특성 (Characteristics of Settlement and Scour of Square-Shaped Hybrid Reef according to Placement Types)

  • 본 연구에서는 지오그리드로 보강된 사각형 복합 인공어초의 침하 및 세굴 특성을 알아보기 위해 대형 수조 침하 실험, 2차원 흐름 수조 실험 등 다양한 실내 실험을 수행하였다. 또한 인공어초의 각 배치 형태(배치도 A; 나란히 배치된 형태, 배치도 B; 지그재그로 배치된 형태)에 따른 세굴 특성을 알아보기 위해 수치해석을 수행하였다. 실내 실험 결과 무보강된 인공어초에 비해 지오그리드가 보강된 인공어초의 침하 및 세굴 깊이가 크게 저감되었다. 인공어초 배치 형태에 따른 세굴 특성을 알아보기 위한 흐름 수조 실험과 수치해석을 수행한 결과 배치도 A의 세굴 깊이와 유속 벡터는 배치도 B보다 더 감소하는 경향을 보였다.

대학 강의실 수업의 효과성 향상을 위한 H형 블렌디드 이러닝 적용 효과 분석 (Investigation of H model blended e-learning technique in enhanced effectiveness of class learning)

  • 본 연구는 블렌디드 이러닝이 대학의 강의실 위주의 수업에서 효과성을 향상시킬 수 있는지를 검증하고자 하였다. 먼저, 수업 사례를 분석하여 블렌디드 이러닝 운영방식으로 CbE(Class based E-learning)와 EbC(E-learning based Class) 방식을 도출하고, 수업구조로 Z형(Zigzag model)과 H형(Ladder model)을 정의하였다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 A대학의 "엑셀실무" 과목에 CbE 방식의 H형 블렌디드 이러닝을 운영하였다. 집단은 사이버강의 학습참여비율의 50%이상인 집단(그룹 1)과 그렇지 않은 집단(그룹 2)으로 나누고, 자료의 분석은 $x^2$-검정, t -검정으로 학업 성취도를 비교하였다. 사이버강의 학습참여비율과 합격여부의 관계를 규명하기 위해 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 검정 결과, 그룹 1이 학업 성취도에서 통계적으로 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과에서 사이버강의 학습참여비율은 합격여부를 예측하는 유의미한 변인으로 규명됨에 따라, 블렌디드 이러닝의 효과성이 확증되었다. 연구 결과, H형 블렌디드 이러닝은 강의실 수업의 단점을 보완하여 학업 성취도와 학습 만족도를 향상시키고, 학습자가 블렌디드 이러닝 수업 방식에 대해 긍정적인 인식을 갖도록 한 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 성공적으로 블렌디드 이러닝을 운영하기 위한 전략과 대학에서의 활성화 방안에 대해 제언하였다.
