A Study of Interference-Free Home PLC based on the Binary ZCD Code (연속직교 상관특성을 갖는 아진 코드 기반의 구내용 PLC에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a new interference-free Home CDMA-PLC(Code Division Multiple Access-Power Line Communication) system based on the binary ZCD(Zero Correlation Duration) spreading code is proposed as a key solution to overcome the previous problems. Binary ZCD spreading code sets with enlarged family sizes are generated by carrying out a chip-shift operation of the preferred pairs. The properties or the proposed ZCD-PLC systems are effective for MPI(Multi-Path Interference) and MAI (Multiple Access Interference) cancellation in the CDMA-PLC systems. By BER performance simulation, we certified the availability of proposed ZCD-CDMA-PLC system.

Relationship between the Flow data on the Unit Watersheds and on the Stream Flow Monitoring Network (수질오염총량관리 단위유역 유량자료와 하천유량 측정망 자료의 연계성 분석)

  • It is very difficult to apply stream flow data directly to the management of Total Maximum Daily Loads because there are some differences between the unit watershed and the stream flow monitoring network in their characteristics such as monitoring locations and its intervals. Flow duration curve can be developed by linking the daily flow data of stream monitoring network to 8 day interval flow data of the unit watershed. This study investigated the current operating conditions of the stream flow monitoring network and the flow relationships between the unit watershed and the stream flow monitoring network. Criteria such as missing and zero value data, and correlation coefficients were applied to select the stream flow reference sites. The reference sites were selected in 112 areas out of 142 unit watersheds in 4 river basins, where the stream flow observations were carried out in relatively normal operating conditions. These reference sites could be utilized in various ways such as flow variation analysis, flow duration curve development and so on for the management of Total Maximum Daily Loads.

  • Multiple access interference (MAI) and multi path interference(MPI) degrades the system performance in the DS-CDMA(direct-sequence code-division multiple- access)systems .0 this paper, a generalized construction method fer 2$\^$n/(n=1,2,3) phase preferred pairs(PP) with zero-correlation duration (ZCD) of (0.5N+1) chips is proposed. 2$\^$n/(n=1,2,3) phase ZCD code sets with ZCD and enlarged family sizes are generated by carrying out a chip-shift operation of the preferred pairs . The properties of the proposed codes are effective for the cancellation of MAI and MPI in DS-CDMA Systems.

  • In this paper, a class of multi-level spreading codes, i.e., ternary ZCD(zero-correlation duration) spreading codes are introduced. Novel ternary ZCD code sets are generated by carrying out a chip-shift operation of the ternary preferred pairs (TPP) with a ZCD of(0.75N+1)chips. Ternary ZCD codes have superior family size than the binary ZCD codes and they are effective for approximately synchronized (AS) CDMA

  • Recently, IEEE 802.15.4a(low-rate UWB) technique has been paid much attention to the LR-UWB communication system for WPAN. However, there are various interferences such as MPI(Multi Path Interference) or IPI(Inter Piconet Interference) in IEEE 802.15.4a wireless channel. In order to cancel various interferences occurred to WPAN environment, in this paper, we propose a UWB wireless communication system with high QoS(Quality of Service) which is a chaotic-OOK(On-Off Keying) system using unipolar ZCD(Zero Correlation Duration) spreading code in physical layer level. Furthermore, we analyze its performance via simulations and verify the availability of proposed system with prototype implementation.

  • In this paper, Interference-Cancelled CDMA system using binary ZCD spreading codes is introduced. Proposed Interference-Cancelled CDMA system can be usefully used for the intra-cellular Interference-Cancelled wireless communication systems. Binary ZCD spreading code sets have various sequence period and family sizes and the ZCD properties of them are very effective for Interference-cancelled CDMA Systems. In this paper, we mathematically analyzed the system performance of our proposed Interference-Cancelled CDMA system in the AWGN channel and various interference environments such as MAI and MPI. Furthermore, using the BER performance simulation we certify the available interference cancellation properties of the proposed system.

  • IEEE 802.15.4a에서는 첩(Chirp)신호을 이용한 UWB(Ultra Wide Band) 시스템으로서 DBO(Differential Bi-Orthogonal)-CSS(Chirp Spread Spectrum) 기술을 선택적 표준안으로 정하였다. 기존 DBO-CSS에서는 다중 피코넷 간섭(MPI; Multiple Piconets Interference)을 피하기 위하여 각 피코넷 별로 Different Time-Gap을 할당하고 있다 하지만 완벽한 직교성이 존재하지 않는다는 특성을 가지고 있어서 간섭의 영향에 민감할 수 밖에 없고, 무선통신시스템의 성능 저하를 야기시킨다. 본 논문에서는 각 피코넷 별로 보다 완전한 직교성을 확보하기 위하여, 확산코드기법을 적용한 CSS 변복조 알고리즘을 제안하고, 또한 일정한 시간 구간동안 연속적인 직교특성을 가지는 이진 ZCD(Zero Correlation Duration) 코드를 사용하여 BER(Bit Error Rate) 성능 분석을 통해 SOP(Simultaneously Operating Piconets) 환경에서 다중 피코넷 간섭 등의 영향을 효과적으로 제거함을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 국내에서 채택한 ATSC-DTV (Advanced Television System Committee-Digital Television)의 단일주파 수망 (SFN; Single Frequency Network) 구성을 위한 TxID (Transmitter Identification)용 ZCD (Zero Correlation Duration)확산코드 기반의 부분상관 정합필터를 새롭게 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 정합필터의 구현 알고리즘은 TxID에 있어서 기존의 정합필터 구조를 적용할 경우에 발생되는 소비전력 문제나 하드웨어 구현의 어려움을 획기적으로 해결할 수 있다는 잇점을 갖는다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 다양한 잇점을 갖는 새롭게 제안한 ZCD용 부분상관 정합필터를 FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array)를 이용한 디지털 하드웨어로 구현하고 그 성능을 분석함으로써 유용성을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 지상파 디지털 방송시스템의 단일 주파수망 (SFN; Single Frequency Network) 구성을 위해 DTV (Digital Television) TxID (Transmitter Identification)용 저간섭 ZCD (Zero Correlation Duration) 확산코드를 제시하였다. ZCD 확산코드는 코드발생기의 구현이 용이함과 동시에 ZCD특성을 가짐으로 인해서, TxID에서 발생되는 인접코드 간섭 (ICI; Inter Code Interference) 및 다중경로 간섭 (MPI; Multi-Path Interference) 문제를 확산코딩기법을 이용하여 근원적으로 해결해주는 역할을 하고 있으며, 주기를 가변적으로 조절할 수 있어 TxID를 위한 워터마킹 (Watermarking)시에 발생하는 Truncated error를 제거할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) 잡음 및 ICI, MPI와 같은 다양한 간섭환경을 모의실험에 반영하여 도출된 DER (Detection Error Rate)특성을 분석함으로써, TxID용 저간섭 ZCD 확산코드의 유용성을 입증하였다.

Access timing offsets-resilient uplink OFDMA for satellite systems (액세스 타이밍 오차에 강한 위성 시스템 상향링크 OFDMA 기법)

  • We propose a new satellite OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) scheme with greatly enhanced tolerance of timing offset among the users. In uplink OFDMA systems, timing misalignment among users destroys subcarrier orthogonality and thus, it degrades the performance. In order to avoid this performance degradation, the accurate processing, so called 'ranging', is required to synchronize among users. However, ranging scheme is not available in the satellite systems due to the very long round trip delay. Exploiting the property that PSW(Propoerly Scrambled Walsh-code) code has zero correlation despite ${\pm}1$ chip timing offset, the proposed OFDMA achieves MAI free performance with the timing offset up to ${\pm}1$ OFDM symbol duration for the satellite systems.
