  • Aeroacoustic computation of a fully-developed turbulent pipe flow at $Re_{\tau}=175$ and M = 0.1 is conducted by LES/LPCE hybrid method. The generation and propagation of acoustic waves are computed by solving the linearized perturbed compressible equations (LPCE), with acoustic source DP(x,t)/Dt attained by the incompressible large eddy simulation (LES). The computed acoustic power spectral density is closely compared with the wall shear-stress dipole source of a turbulent channel flow at $Re_{\tau}=175$. A constant decaying rate of the acoustic power spectrum, $f^{-8/5}$ is found to be related to the turbulent bursts of the correlated longitudinal structures such as hairpin vortex and their merged structures (or hairpin packets). The power spectra of the streamwise velocity fluctuations across the turbulent boundary layer indicate that the most intensive noise at ${\omega}^+$ < 0.1 is produced in the buffer layer with fluctuations of the longitudinal structures ($k_zR$ < 1.5).

  • This paper proposes a framework to automatically align Dental range image captured by depth sensors like the Microsoft Kinect. Aligning dental images by intraoral scanning technology is a difficult problem for applications requiring accurate model of dental-scan datasets with efficiency in computation time. The most important thing in dental scanning system is accuracy of the dental prosthesis. Previous approaches in intraoral scanning uses a Z-buffer ICP algorithm for fast registration, but it is relatively not accurate and it may cause cumulative errors. This paper proposes additional Alignment using the rough result comes after intraoral scanning alignment. It requires that Each Depth Image of the total set shares some overlap with at least one other Depth image. This research implements the automatically additional alignment system that aligns all depth images into Completed model by computing a network of pairwise registrations. The order of the each individual transformation is derived from a global network and AABB box overlap detection methods.

  • The first purpose of present study was to compare the anticariogenic effect of compomer, resin modified glass ionomer cement and composite (RMGIC). The second purpose was to evaluate the recently introduced methods, which use confocal scanning micro-scope, in detecting initial caries around restoration. 2$\times$4$\times$1.5mm cavities were prepared from the recently extracted 50 human teeth on the buccal or lingual surface. The prepared teeth were randomly devided into 5 groups and restored with each filling material. Group 1: Dyract AP, Group 2: compoglass F, Group 3: F2000, Group 4: Z100. Group 5:Fuji II LC. The teeth were stored for 30 days in the distilled water, then stored in the buffer solution for artificial caries development: pH 4.3, lactic acid 100 mM, calcium 16 mM, phosphate 8mM, sodium azide 3mM. Then, the samples were sectioned longitudinally and examined with confical scanning microscope. The results showed that the use of compomer and resin modified glass ionomer cement showed caries inhibition zone whereas the composite did not. There was no difference in the width of caries inhibition zone between compomers and RMGIC. The confocal scanning microscope was useful in detecting initial caries around restoration.

  • This study introduces the method of detecting and restoring occlusion areas by using epipolar algorithm and K-means classification algorithm for true ortho-photo generation. In the past, the techniques of detecting occlusion areas are using the reference images or information of buildings. But, in this study the occlusion areas can be automatically detected by using DTM data and exterior orientation parameters. The detected occlusion areas can be restored by using anther images or the computed values which are determined in K-means classification algorithm. In addition, this method takes advantages of applying epipolar algorithm in order to find same location in overlapping areas among images.

  • The performance of a packet data multiplexer with stopandwait ARQ protocols under Markovian interruption is considered in this work It is assumed that the input process, into the system is Poisson process, and that the output channel is divided into a series of time slots and a data packet can be transmitted in a slot time. In this system the roundtrip propagation delay is defined to be the frame time. It is modeled that the output channel can be blocked by some Markevian interruption, whose state change between the blocking and non-blocking states is given by Markov process. The overall system has been analyzed by constructing a relationship, taking the Markovian interruption into account, about the buffer behavior between the successive frames of slots. The validity of this analytical results has been verified by computer simulation.

  • BPM simulation was used in order to fabricate the LiNbO$_3$optical waveguide with optical source of He-Ne laser(λ=0.6328[$\mu$m]). we observed electric field E$_{x}$, E$_{y}$ in the x,y-direction are simulated at the LiNbO$_3$substrate (X1 55[$\mu$m]$\times$Z1 5000[$\mu$m]), where the depth, width and buffer layer of waveguide are 0.2[$\mu$m],4[$\mu$m] and 0.02[$\mu$m] respectively. By applying these parameters of single waveguide to simulate a X-switch, we have chosen index change of 0.002, width of 3[$\mu$m] and angle of 0.4$^{\circ}$~0.6$^{\circ}$of optical waveguide and under these conditions, optical beam propagates cross-side at 0.4$^{\circ}$. When applied switching voltage of 25[V], optical beam of X-switch turns cross-side to bar-side at intersection angle 0.4$^{\circ}$, index change of 0.002, waveguide width of 3[$\mu$m], electrode gap 2[$\mu$m]. By the above results, we can obtain design conditions of theoretical analysis of an X-switch optical waveguide.e.e.

  • This study was designed to evaluate the anti cariogenic effect of F in primers, bonding agents, composite resins or glass ionomer cements in enamel. Twenty-five extracted teeth were selected and a cavity was prepared on either the buccal or the lingual surface of each tooth. After pumicing and etching, the samples were divided into 5 groups. In group A, the samples were primed, bonded and filled with ART bond and Brilliant Enamel (Coltene, Switzerland). Group B composed of Optibond and Herculited XRV (Kerr, USA), group C composed of Syntac and Tetric(Vivadent, Lichtenstein), and group D composed of Scotch-bond Multipurpose and Z 100 (3M, YSA). In group E, the samples were filled with glass ionomer cement (Fuji II LC, Japan), All surfaces except the 2mm beyond the cavosurface margin of the sample were protected, and samples were then put into an acid buffer for 3 days to develop the initial caries. The samples were then sectioned through the filling body into thin wafers and then examined with a polarizing microscope under water imbibition. The fluoride in primer, bonding agent, or composite filling material did not prevent the initial caries in the enamel area adjacent to the filling body whereas the fluoride in the glass ionomer did prevent the initial stage caries.

  • IKONOS images have the perspective geometry in CCD sensor line like aerial images with central perspective geometry. So the occlusion by buildings, terrain or other objects exist in the image. It is difficult to detect the occlusion with RPCs(rational polynomial coefficients) for ortho-rectification of image. Therefore, in this study, we detected the occlusion areas in IKONOS images using the nominal collection elevation/azimuth angle and restored the hidden areas using another stereo images, from which the rue ortho image could be produced. The algorithm's validity was evaluated using the geometric accuracy of the generated ortho image.

  • A simple LC-MS/MS method of rabeprazole in human plasma was developed and validated. Rabeprazole and Internal standard (I.S), omeprazole, were extracted from human plasma by liquid liquid extraction, chromatographic separation of rabaprazole in plasma was achieved at $45^{\circ}C$ with a Shiseido UG120 $C_{18}$ column and methanol-10 mM ammonium acetate buffer (pH 9.42 with ammonium water), as mobile phase. Rabeprazole produced a protonated precursor ion [$(M+H)^+$] at m/z 360.10 and corresponding product ion at m/z 242.21. Internal standard produced a protonated precursor ion [$(M+H)^+$] at 346.09 and corresponding product ion at m/z 198.09. This method showed linear response over the concentration range of $1{\sim}500\;ng/mL$ with correalation coefficient greater than 0.99. The lower limit of quantitation (LLOQ) using 0.2 mL plasma was 1 ng/mL, which was sensitive enough for pharmacokinetics studies. The method was specific and validated with a limit of quantitation of 1 ng/mL. The intra-day and inter-day precision and accuracy were acceptable for all samples including the LLOQ. The applicability of the method was demonstrated by analysis of plasma after administration of a single 10 mg dose to 36 healthy subject. From the plasma rabeprazole concentration versus time curves, the mean $AUC_t$ (The area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time 0 to 12 hr ) was $691.36{\pm}321.88\;ng{\cdot}hr/mL$, $C_{max}$ (maximum plasma drug concentration) of $353.21{\pm}131.52\;ng/mL$ reached $3.4{\pm}1.1\;hr$ after adiministration. The mean biological half-life of rabeprazole was $1.37{\pm}0.75\;hr$. Based on the results, this simple method could readily be used in pharmacokinetics studies.
