This study is structural analysis and continuous, discrete optimum design of braced steel frame structures under earthquake loads considering soil condition. The program which is able to perform simultaneously structural analysis and continuous, discrete optimum design, it is applied steel frame structures using unbraced, Z-braced, and X-braced types and analyze the program about static loads and seismic loads. The purpose of this study is to present proper braced type for seismic effects by comparing and analyzing results of analytic method about various cases using specially Newmark-Hall design spectrum, ATC design spectrum and ATC equivalent static analysis and finding minimum weight and design variables which satisfy the ultimate strength requirements of AISC-ASD specifications, the serviceability requirements and allowable story drift requirements of ATC-3-06 and various constraints.
It was reported that esthetic composite resin restoration reinforces the strength of remaining tooth structure with preserving the natural tooth structure. However, it is unknown how much the strength would be recovered. The purpose of this study was to compare the fracture resistance of three types of undermined cavity filled with composite resin with that of non-cavitated natural tooth. Forty sound upper molars were allocated randomly into four groups of 10 teeth. After flattening occlusal enamel. undermined cavities were prepared in thirty teeth to make three types of specimens with various thickness of occlusal structure (Group $1{\sim}3$). All the cavity have the 5 mm width mesio-distally and 7 mm depth bucco-lingually. Another natural 10 teeth (Group 4) were used as a control group. Teeth in group 1 have remaining occlusal structure about 1 mm thickness, which was composed of mainly enamel and small amount of dentin. In Group 2, remained thickness was about 1.5 mm, including 0.5 mm thickness dentin. In Group 3, thickness was about 2.0 mm, including 1 mm thickness dentin. Every effort was made to keep the remaining dentin thickness about 0.5 mm from the pulp space in cavitated groups. All the thickness was evaluated with radiographic Length Analyzer program. After acid etching with 37% phosphoric acid, one-bottle adhesive (Single $Bond^{TM}$, 3M/ESPE, USA) was applied following the manufacturer's recommendation and cavities were incrementally filled with hybrid composite resin (Filtek $Z-250^{TM}$, 3M/ESPE, USA). Teeth were stored in distilled water for one day at room temperature, after then, they were finished and polished with Sof-Lex system. All specimens were embedded in acrylic resin and static load was applied to the specimens with a 3 mm diameter stainless steel rod in an Universal testing machine and cross-head speed was 1 mm/min. Maximum load in case of fracture was recorded for each specimen. The data were statistically analyzed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and a Tukey test at the 95% confidence level. The results were as follows: 1. Fracture resistance of the undermined cavity filled with composite resin was about 75% of the natural tooth. 2. No significant difference on fracture loads of composite resin restoration was found among the three types of cavitated groups. Within the limits of this study, it can be concluded the fracture resistance of the undermined cavity filled with composite resin was lower than that of natural teeth, however remaining tooth structure may be supported and saved by the reinforcement with adhesive restoration, even of that portion consists of mainly enamel and a little dentin structure.
It is important for genetic resources to collect and identify in native medium-leaf type zoysiagrasses species distributed in Korea. This study was conducted to investigate morphological variation and characteristics of native medium-leaf type zoysiagrasses from coastal, island and inland regions in Korea. Among them, 75 collected lines was confirmed to have various morphological variations, accessions were classified into 2 main based group coastal and inland regions by morphological characteristics and site environment. Group I included Z. sinica type, this group showed 3.7 mm in leaf width, 29 in number of seed per spikelet and 5.0 mm in seed length. Group II included Z. japonica type, this group showed 4.4 mm in leaf width, 42 in number of seed per spikelet and 3.5 mm in seed length. There is a need for additional research on growth characteristics and the molecular level for the introgressive hybridization between species which confirmed that cross-pollination is possible due to protogyny. The individuals showing variations should be preserved as valuable genetic resources for the expansion of variations in zoysiagrasses, and the results of this investigation on the genetic resources collected will be highly valuable in breeding high quality turfgrass.
In this paper, we propose an automatic hand gesture area extraction and recognition technique using FMCW radar-based point cloud and LSTM. The proposed technique has the following originality compared to existing methods. First, unlike methods that use 2D images as input vectors such as existing range-dopplers, point cloud input vectors in the form of time series are intuitive input data that can recognize movement over time that occurs in front of the radar in the form of a coordinate system. Second, because the size of the input vector is small, the deep learning model used for recognition can also be designed lightly. The implementation process of the proposed technique is as follows. Using the distance, speed, and angle information measured by the FMCW radar, a point cloud containing x, y, z coordinate format and Doppler velocity information is utilized. For the gesture area, the hand gesture area is automatically extracted by identifying the start and end points of the gesture using the Doppler point obtained through speed information. The point cloud in the form of a time series corresponding to the viewpoint of the extracted gesture area is ultimately used for learning and recognition of the LSTM deep learning model used in this paper. To evaluate the objective reliability of the proposed technique, an experiment calculating MAE with other deep learning models and an experiment calculating recognition rate with existing techniques were performed and compared. As a result of the experiment, the MAE value of the time series point cloud input vector + LSTM deep learning model was calculated to be 0.262 and the recognition rate was 97.5%. The lower the MAE and the higher the recognition rate, the better the results, proving the efficiency of the technique proposed in this paper.
This study was conducted to evaluate the vegetation, distribution and growth pattern of Glehnia littoralis community by the DCA ordination method in eastern coast of Korea. The number of plant species growth with G. littoralis in natural habitat was found 51 taxa, and species of high frequency among 51 taxa was Ixeris repens, Calystegia soldanella, Carex kobomugi, Elymus mollis, Lathyrus japonica and Zoysia macrostachya. Indicator species of Z. macrostachya, Linaria japonica, C. soldanella, I. repens, Carex pumila, Artemisia capillaris, Oenothera biennis, L. japonica and E. mollis in G. littoralis community was differential species of syntaxonomy. C. kobomugi, Z. macrostachya, E. mollis, Cynodon dactylon and L. japonica was the distribution in dryness sand and moisture sandyloam, I. repens, C. soldanella, L. japonica and C. pumila was the distribution in dryness sand. In coastal dune, I. repens, C. soldanella, Salsola komarovi and G. littoralis combined strength of the distribution, and sand of coast was typical of the habitat.

In this paper, a dynamic model is proposed for multi-axis optical structure of an aircraft. Modal analysis, sine-wave analysis, and random vibration analysis are done using a multi-body dynamic program for the multi-axis optical structure. By applying Al 6061-T6 and two types of CFRP to the camera module, x, y, and z responses are found and compared according to each axis excitation. The results will be used for reducing the weight of the camera module.
This study was carried out to identify the chromosome morphological structure and G-, C-banding pattern of Korean native fowl. The samples used in this study were early chick embryos, and the method of chromosomal analysis quoted from the protocal of Ohio univ. with more or less modified. The results were summerized as follow as; 1. In each of macrochromosomal morphology, the arm-ratio, centromeric index, and relative length of Korean native fowl were more or less different from improved breeds, but the designations were the same. 2. The graphical pecks, by densitometric recordings, in each macrochromosome number of 1, 2, 3, 4, Z, and 5, numbered 21, 14, 12, 8, 11, and 4 in G-banded, and 16, 13, 9, 9, 9, and 4 in C-banded, respectively. Those pecks could be explained as a consequence of chromosome condensation during mitosis and of genetic material differences.

This study was carried out for the purpose of obtaining the basic data for color identification of amethyst by spectrophotometer. For this, the eleven amethyst stone and one citrine stone from eight countries were prepared in facet cut or plate. The transmittance and reflection of this samples were investigated as a function of wavelength. The transmittance or reflection was transformed to tristimulus value (X, Y, Z) and chromaticity value (x, y, z) and then compared with the results of eye observation which was plotted on cm xyY color space. Finally, the influence of the amethyst's thickness on transmittance or reflection was investigated.
This paper deals with finite element analysis for free vibration and forced sinusoidal vibration of Ka- and Ku- band antenna structures using MSC/NASTRAN. The structures are designed to satisfy minimum resonance frequency requirement in order to decouple the dynamic interaction of the satellite antenna with the spacecraft bus structure. The large mass method was utilized to analyze output acceleration according to the forced sinusoidal vibration inputs in X-, Y- and Z- directions. The analysis results can also be used thor verification experimental planning of satellite antenna.
The eye movement of the eyeball's center of a rotation can represent with the rotation matrix $R_x$, $R_y$, $R_z$ due to a coordinate axis rotation transformation of Cartesian coordinate, and describes of an abduction, an adduction, an elevation, a depression, an intorsion, an extorsion in principle rotation six forms of the eye. The eye movement from primary eye position to tertiary eye position could be composed with the rotation matrix combination, and by the primary rotation of six and the secondary rotation of eight, could be represented with the extrocular muscle of six. The position of the cornea vertex point or pupil point due to the eye movement can describe to transform the rotation matrix of the cartesian coordinate to spherical coordinate$(r,{\theta},{\phi})$.
