Color Factor Analysis of in Farnsworth Test Panel D-15 (색각 검사용 Farnsworth Test Panel D-15의 칼라 인자 연구)

  • In order to color analyze of in Farnsworth Test Panel D-15 using a Protan, Deutan and Tritan test, we introduced the CIE system so that measured the reflectance light spectrum intensity in the 380~780 nm wavelength regions. The color difference of Panel D-15 was depended on the intensity of reflectance ratio in the 400~450 nm, 500~600 nm and more than 650 nm wavelength regions. From the reflectance spectra, we obtained the tristimulus X, Y, Z values, the $L^*a^*b^*$ and $L^*ab$ values of the 3-Dimension CIELAB system in a complement plane and light-darkness axis, the $U^*V^*$ values and the x, y values of chromaticity coordinates.

A Comparative Study on Tests of Correlation (상관계수에 대한 검정법 비교)

  • In this paper, we studied about several methods of testing hypothesis of correlation, specially Approximate method, Empirical method and Bootstrap method. The Approximate method is based on the Fisher's Z-transformation and the Empirical and Bootstrap methods approximate the distribution of the sample correlation coefficient by Monte Carlo simulation and Bootstrap technique, respectively. In order to compare how good these tests are, we computed powers under various alternatives. Consequently, we see that the Approximate test performs very well even if in small sample and all tests have almost the same power in large sample.

3D Model Retrieval based on Spherical Coordinate System (구면좌표계 기반에서 3차원 모델 검색)

  • In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for 3D model retrieval based on spherical coordinate system. We obtains sample points in a polygons on 3D model. We convert a point in cartesian coordinates(x, y, z) to it in spherical coordinate. 3D shape features are achieved by adopting distribution of zenith of sample point in spherical coordinate. We used Osada's method for obtaining sample points on 3D model and the PCA method for the pose standardization 3D model. Princeton university's benchmark data was used for this research. Experimental results numerically show the precision improvement of proposed algorithm 12.6% in comparison with Vranic's depth buffer-based feature vector algorithm.

  • High-speed/precision servomechanisms have been widely used in the manufacturing and semiconductor industries. In order to ensure the required high-speed and high-precision specifications in servomechanisms, an integrated design methodology is required, where the interactions between mechanical and electrical subsystems will have to be considered simultaneously. For the first step of the integrated design process, it is necessary to obtain not only strict mathematical models of separate subsystems but also formulation of an integrated design problem. A two-degree-of-freedom controller described in the discrete-time domain is considered as an electrical subsystem in this paper. An accurate identification process of the mechanical subsystem is conducted to verify the obtained mathematical model. Mechanical and electrical constraints render the integrated design problem accurate. Analysis of the system performance according to design and operating parameters is conducted for better understanding of the dynamic behavior and interactions of the servomechanism. Experiments are performed to verify the validity of the integrated design problem in the x-Y positioning system.

자재조달문제에 있어 z-변환의 응용

  • Military material-supply problem is one of the most important logistic problems under conscription system. Formally, two approaches were followed lowed to this problem. (1) Needs for material per soldier is estimated by past experience. The total demand for the material is estimated by multiplication of this coefficient and the number of soldiers given in the governmental programme. (2) The total demand for the material is estimated by the forcast based on the past statistics. The material supply system based on these estimates, however, relies too much on past statistics ;lack of flexibility is feared to adapt itself to changes in conscription programme, life-time of materials and so on. In this paper, the author has followed new approach : The conscription system itself is a linear input-output system, in which sequences of enlistment and dischargement are regarded as input and output. And the sequencial demands for the material are related by another linear transformation to the former sequences. In this regard z-transformation is applied to construct to transfer functions associated with this system. With these transfer functions, methods are established to determine the material demand corresponding to conscription programme and life-time distribution. Numerical methods by computers are also prepared.

  • This paper applicate the digital elevation model(DEM) method in geographic information systems(GIS) on the earthwork volumes, intending to present an efficient geographic information-obtain method and an optimum earthwork volumes method after analyzing the obtain method of geographic informations which are made up of as spatial data(X, Y) and attribute data(Z), analyzing area determination method by geographic information-obtain method each other and the accuracy of earthwork volumes computation. The results of this paper showed that the method of earthwork volumes computation, which was based on the earthwork volumes-calculation grid applied by the DEM method of based grid to randomly get the geographic information of geographic transformation point and translated geography into nonlinear and unequal interval, was very efficient.

Development of a Plasmid Vector(pSS4) for the Use in Animal Transgenesis (유전자 변환 동물 생산을 위한 Plasmid Vector(pSS4)의 개발)

  • Transgenic animals have become an important tool in the basic and applied sectors of genetic and biomedical sciences. In particular transgenes provide clear-cut markers in the spatial and temporal analysis of developing embryos for the understanding of developmental mechanisms. For the long-term use of plasmid vector in a particular purpose it would be necessary to develop one's own vector system which can be properly expressed in eukaryotic system. Plasmids were constructed from ori region of pUC19 and early region of SV40 through various steps. LacZ gene coding for $\beta$-galactosides was fused to early gene of SV40 in translational in-frame. Poly(A) tailing site of SV40 was inserted at the 3' lacZ so that initiation, elongation and terminatin be controlled by SV40 transcription (pSS4). Biological function of the constructed pSS4 was demonstrated via microinjection of the plasmid into fertilized loach eggs and subsequent detection of $\beta$-galactosidase in developing embryos. The result indicate that the newly constructed pSS4 is functional in a eukaryotic system in vivo. Thus pSS4 may be used as an efficient tool for the study of embryogenesis and a basic carrier for various genes for animal transgenesis.

Experimental Investigation on High Efficient Electrolytes of Electrochemical Photovoltaic Cells (전기화학형 광전변환 셀의 고효율 전해질 제작에 관한 실험적 고찰)

  • In this work, an optimum condition of electrolytes preparation for photovoltaic cells application was investigated experimentally in terms of impedance and conversion efficiency of the cells. 3-methoxyppropionitrie and redox pairs with LiI and $I_2$ were used as stable solvents for fabrication of electrolyte. Efficiency comparison of the prepared cells carried out for various additives and ionic liquids. From the results, there was an optimum concentration (about 0.3 M) of ionic liquids for efficient cell fabrication. For case of electrolyte using single DMAp additive, the maximum conversion efficiency of the cell was 6.4%($V_{oc}$: 0.78V, $J_{sc}$: 14.4 mA/$cm^2$, ff: 0.57). For case of electrolyte using both DMAp and CEMim additives, the maximum conversion efficiency of the cell was 7.2%($V_{oc}$: 0.79V, $J_{sc}$: 16 mA/$cm^2$, ff: 0.57). From the result of electrochemical impedance measurement, both Z1 and Z3 values of binary additives-based cell decreased compared to those of single additive-based. This is due to the decreased in internal and charge transfer resistivities of the cells.

Transcription level of the ars-1 promoter of Neurospora crassa (Neurospora crassa ars-1 프로모터의 발현율 조사)

  • The ars gene of the Neurospora crassa encodes arylsulfatase and is expressed under sulfur limitation. An ars-1 promoter(Pars) translationally-fused to a lacZ gene was transformed into the N. crassa RLM 35-35, a his-3 inl strain and integrated into the his-S locus by a single crossover homologous recombination. $\beta$-galactosidase specific activity was measured from mycelia grown in sulfur-limited Vogel's medium. Enzyme activity reached its maximum at 14 hour after the shift to derepressing condition. When activity from homokaryon generated by microconidiation was measured, it was 17% a higher than that from heterokaryon.

A Study on Three-dimensional Coordinates Analysis Using Mirror Images (거울영상을 이용한 3차원 좌표해석에 관한 연구)

  • Minimum three pairs of model are necessary to determine absolute coordinates of three-dimensional objects. This paper researches the method of analyzing three-dimensional coordinates of all sides of objects by photographing a pair of stereo model through the medium of mirror. An objective lies in improving the accuracy and the efficiency of mirror images method by introducing an error correction function for distortion of the mirror. Projected-onto-mirror points are transformed on the object plane through mirror plane equation. As the result, X-coordinates error is the largest and Y, Z-coordinates error represents about 1mm. Also, accuracy can be improved by introducing correction function for left and right mirror and correcting the distortion of mirror.
