일과 삶의 균형에 영향을 미치는 가정, 조직, 지역사회 변인의 영향력에 대한 국가비교연구: 한국, 일본, 영국 기혼여성근로자를 중심으로 (Comparative Study on the Effect of Family, Organization and Community Factors on Work-Life Balance: Married and Working Women in Korea, Japan, and the U.K.)

  • This study aimed to identify differences in the level of work-life balance as well as the effect of independent variables, including family (sharing family work, support for working), organization (culture, support services and systems), and community variables (accessibility to and amount of work-life balance programs), on work-life balance in South Korea, Japan, and the U.K. For these purposes, data were collected from 311, 324, and 322 married, working women (from 30 to 50 years of age) from Korea, Japan, and the U.K., respectively. It was consistently shown that U.K. employees scored higher in work-life balance than Korean and Japanese employees. Compared with Japan and the U.K., Korean participants were significantly lower in terms of work-leisure balance and work-self-development balance. The regression analysis revealed that 'sharing family work with partner' was commonly important and a major factor in all three countries. A 'supportive organizational culture' predicted work-life balance for Korean and Japanese participants, while work-life balance programs had a powerful effect on work-life balance only for U.K. participants. In the case of community variables, there were no significant effects for U.K. participants with regard to work-life balance. In contrast, 'the amount of work-life balance programs offered' was shown to affect the work-life balance of Korean working women, while 'accessibility to the programs' was significantly influential in Japan. We interpret these results according to social, economic, political, and psychological factors.

유아기 자녀를 둔 취업모의 아동기 애착경험이 양육행동에 미치는 영향 : 부모역할만족도의 매개적 역할 (The Effects of Childhood Attachment on the Parenting Practices of Working Mothers : The Mediating Role of Parental Satisfaction)

  • The main purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between childhood attachment, parental satisfaction and the parenting practices of working mothers with young children. The participants were composed of 221 working mothers with young children attending day care centers and kindergartens in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The subjects completed questionnaires on childhood attachment, parental satisfaction and parenting practices. The data were analyzed by means of Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis. It was observed that childhood attachment had an effect on parenting practices. Parental satisfaction was also found to have an effect on parenting practices. In addition, childhood attachment had an effect on parental satisfaction. It was further found that parental satisfaction mediated the relationship between childhood attachment and parenting practices very well. These results clearly indicate that parental satisfaction plays an important role in childhood attachment and parenting practices.

기혼직장여성의 우울에 미치는 융합적 요인 분석: 제7차 여성가족패널조사를 중심으로 (Analysis of the Convergence Factors Affecting Depression of Married Working Women: The 7th Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families(2017))

  • 본 연구는 기혼직장여성의 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위하여 여성가족패널조사(2017년) 자료를 활용하여 2차 분석을 수행한 서술적 조사연구이다. 만 19세 이상 64세 이하의 기혼직장여성 총 3,820명을 대상으로 교차분석과 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결혼생활 특성에서는 결혼생활에 대한 감정(p=.003), 남편에 대한 인식(p<.001), 가사노동 분담 만족도(p=.008), 자녀 수(p=.027), 건강 특성에서는 지각된 건강상태,(p<.001) 흡연 여부(p=.012), 직업 특성에서는 평균 월급(p=.008), 일 만족도(p=.006)가 기혼직장여성의 우울 영향요인으로 나타났다. 따라서 기혼직장여성의 우울관리와 예방을 위해서는 결혼생활과 관련된 업무를 배우자와 협의하여 동등하게 배분할 수 있는 가정 내에서의 노력뿐 아니라 개인의 지각된 건강상태를 증진시키기 위한 노력도 필요할 것이다. 또한 흡연이 스트레스 해소에 도움을 준다는 잘못된 인식에 대한 교육이 무엇보다 중요하다.

  • In this study the preference degree of a Dangcho pattern with priority given to demographic variables was examined. The results was that demographic variables have influence on the preference degree of a Dangcho pattern. The continual arrangement pattern of a stylistic type was shown as the pattern that men in their 40s and over most prefer. The continual arrangement pattern of a realistic type was shown as the pattern that men in their 40s and over and women in their 50s and over most prefer. The continual arrangement pattern of a geometrical type was shown as the pattern that men working on a sales, service, production position and women in their 50s most prefer. The single arrangement pattern of a stylistic type was shown as the pattern that college men in their 20s, men in their 50s and women working on a sales, production, service position most prefer. The single arrangement pattern of a stylistic type of a realistic type was shown as the pattern that men in their 40s working on a sales, service, production position and college women in their 20s most prefer. The single arrangement pattern of a geometrical type was shown as the pattern that most of people prefer.

서울지역 20~30대 성인여성의 직업유무에 따른 골밀도와 영향요인: 제5기 국민건강영양조사자료 분석, 2010~2011 (Various Factors Affecting the Bone Mineral Density in Korean Young Adult Women: Data from the Fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES V), 2010~2011)

  • This study investigated factors affecting the bone mineral density (BMD) of Korean young adult women (20~30 yrs) living in Seoul, according to the state of employment. Data on BMD and anthropometric and biochemical measurements were obtained from the Fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES V) (2010~2011). BMD of the working group (WG) was generally higher than that of the non-working group (NWG). The prevalence of osteopenia, and osteoporosis between the groups was 29.0/31.5%, and 12.9/18.5% from 20~29 yrs as well as 25.5/24.1%, and 20.2/20.5% from 30~39 yrs, respectively. From 20~29 yrs, prevalence of osteopenia and osteoporosis in the WG was lower than that of the NWG. Alkaline phosphatase activity of the WG was lower than that of the NWG. In the WG, from 20~29 yrs, total femur BMD showed significant positive correlations with waist circumstance and BMI. In the NWG, from 20~29 yrs, total femur, femoral neck, and lumbar spine BMDs showed significant positive correlations with weight and fat mass, whereas they showed significant negative correlations with vitamin D. In the WG, from 30~39 yrs, total femur and femoral neck BMDs showed significant positive correlations with weight and free fat mass. The results of this study show that BMD of young adult women is insufficient regardless of their employment status. Therefore, practical and systematic programs are required to improve the BMD of young adult women as well as to maintain healthy bone levels.

젊은세대 고학력여성의 노동시장참여 (Labor Market Participation among Young College-Educated Women)

  • 1980년대말 남녀고용평등법의 제정으로 성차별적 고용관행에 대한 제도적 제재가 선언된다. 1980년대 후반까지 결혼퇴직제가 보편화되었었고 이러한 관행은 여성의 경력 단축과, 임금이나 업무배치에 부정적 영향을 미쳤다. 1980년대 후반부터 가속화된 여성 고용에 대한 사회제도적 변화가 고학력 여성의 노동시장참여에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는가를 본 연구에서는 살피려고 한다. 구체적으로 젊은세대에서 교육효과는 어떻게 변화하였으며, 결혼이나 가족이라는 여건이 이들 세대에서는 취업과 관련하여 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 검토하려고 하였다. 이것을 위해 여성개발원의 2001년 취업실태조사 자료가 이용되었다. 노동시장참여와 관련하여 젊은세대에서 어떤 변화가 보이고 있다. 본 연구에서 알 수 있는 것은 교육효과의 변화이다. 이전 세대의 부정적 교육효과는 사라지거나 긍정적인 것으로 나타나고 있다. 물론 아직도 교육효과가 미약하게 나타나고 있지만, 이러한 변화는 주목할 만하다. 전반적으로 가족 여건이라는 것이 여성이 일하는 것을 어렵게 하고있다. 기혼여성의 경우 미혼여성과는 달리 여성 자신의 일에 대한 태도가 노동시장 참여에 영향을 미치지 않는다. 놀라운 것은 가족이라는 맥락에서는 일에 대한 여성자신의 의견은 중요하지 않지만, 남편의 의견은 중요하게 나타난다는 것이다. 이것을 통해서 아직도 젊은세대에서도 여성의 의견이 남편의 의견에 종속되고 있다는 것을 것을 알 수 있다. 34세 이하 젊은 세대 여성을 고려할 때, 가족이라는 맥락에서는 교육효과도 크게 약화되는 것을 알 수 있다. 펄은 세대에서도 대졸이상의 학력이라는 것이 결혼하지 않았을 때는 여성의 일과 관련하여 의미 있게 작용하지만, 가족이라는 맥락에 처하면, 별 의미가 얼다. 물론, 젊은 세대에서 교육과 관련된 긍정적인 변화가 엿보이기는 하지만, 과거 세대와 마찬가지로 여전히 결혼이나 가족의 여건은 여성취업에 부정적으로 영향을 미치고 있으며 고학력 여성의 경우 이것의 영향을 더 많이 받는다.

유자녀 취업여성이 경험하는 일-가정 균형에 관련된 변인에 대한 연구 (A Study on Factors Related to Work-family Balance of Working Women with Children)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the factors related to how Korean working mothers balance work and family. We used the first year data of 1661 working mothers participating Korean Longitudinal Study of Women and Families. When mothers were living with their parents-in-law, reported higher level of work-family spillover; whereas satisfaction with husband's household chores was more their related to lower level of work-family spillover. Attitudes placing lower priority on family, disagreement on their works with husband, and traditional family role perception were related to higher level of work-family interference. We also found that salary, working hours, job satisfaction, and a series of maternity protection programs, including maternity leave, were significantly related to work-family balance.

심리적 안녕감에 따른 네일관리행동 연구 - 판매 서비스직 여성을 중심으로 - (A Study on Nail Management Behavior Based on Psychological Wellness - Focusing on Women Engaged in Sales and Services -)

  • The purpose of this study lies in identifying the psychological state of working women engaged in sales and services and seeing how it is correlated to their nail management behavior. Also, the study aims to look into the relationship that exists between these two factors and provide information to help women live and work better with higher self-satisfaction. As for the research process, 210 women aged 20 to 30 engaging in sales and services of clothing, financing, and cosmetics sales were asked to fill out questionnaires. Survey results indicate that women who received college education and beyond as well as those working in the cosmetics sales area were exceptional in their psychological wellbeing. In addition, women with higher income, especially those who work in the cosmetics sales field and are not yet married participated in nail management behavior with the most enthusiasm. Therefore as for the relationship between psychological wellbeing and nail management behavior, it can be said that the better one's psychological wellbeing is, the more one is likely to strive for uniqueness in managing nails.

1970년대 한국여성의 사회적 이미지와 메이크업 특성 연구 (A Study on the Social Image and Make-up Characteristics of Korean Women in 1970s)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the social image and the external image of a Korean woman in 1970s and find out that the make-up can provide an important clue to examine the image of a woman in a given period. The research scope covered 10 top news of the daily newspapers and articles of women's magazines. A focus was made to an analysis on words and photos from them. The relationship of each image scale was examined by comparing the linguistic image scale and the visual image scale. The results were as follows : First, a frugal and tidy image. It was the look of our tidy, simple, traditional and classic woman. Second, an image of a cute and pure lady of refined manners. In 1970s, women were supposed to be 'a loving wife', a cultured female image with a faithful role of a 'wise mother' and a lady of refined manners as the best value. Third, a frivolous and decadent image. Double-faced image of a woman which included the women, who had to live as the lady of refined manners during the daytime and seductive woman during the night. Fourth, an image of a contemporary working woman. It was the image as a chic, confident and dignified working woman requested by the society of the times. Namely, it can be understood that women had a make-up of a soft and gorgeous tone as an expression of a will to keep a confident and female aspect in the course of working in the society by the women experiencing 1970s, the turbulent period. Consequently, it is possible to understand that the make-up was utilized as a means to express an ideal beauty of the time pursuant to the historical background or feature.

출산장려 정책과 근로시간이 기혼여성의 둘째 아 출산의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Policy on Childbirth Encouragement and Working Time on Secondary Childbirth Intention of Married Women)

  • 본 연구는 정부의 출산장려정책들이 기혼여성의 둘째 아 출산의도에 미치는 영향을 탐색하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구를 위해 2010년 9월 1일부터 10월 31일까지 서울시에 거주하면서 6세 미만의 한 자녀를 둔 여성 322명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 분석방법으로는 비모수 분석 방법인 ${\chi}^2$ 분석과 Mann-whitney's U 검정 그리고 로지스틱 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 취업여성의 둘째 아 출산의도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변수는 연령과 주당 근로일수 그리고 출산지원정책이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 비취업 여성의 경우 연령과 출산장려정책의 유의한 영향이 없었다. 이러한 연구결과를 고려해 볼 때, 출산장려정책은 취업여성과 비취업여성의 특성에 따른 차별화된 정책이 개발되어 제시될 필요가 있음을 시사한다. 마지막으로 이러한 연구 결과와 함께 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대해 논의하였다.
