This study aims to analyze the trend of library use according to the expansion of public library infrastructure in Korea, and to search for new roles and services of libraries based on the results of the study. Using the statistical analysis, literature review and partially interview method, the number of borrowers and loans from 2009 to 2019 were analyzed. The result of the survey reveals that the number of public libraries increased by 61.3% during the survey period, while the number of borrowers decreased by 57.5%, and the number of book loans increased only by 18.2%. The result of the analysis claims that the causes of the decrease in the number of materials borrowers were an error in the process of inputting statistics and manipulating the number of book loans by the local library. The population of children and young adults decreased during the survey period, which led to a decrease in the number of children and young adult borrowers. The result of the study reveals that the increase in the use of public libraries in Korea, like other advanced countries, is stagnant. The following new roles and services are suggested for the development of public libraries: Libraries expand non-face-to-face services and electronic resources, and promote their use. Libraries expand cultural and lifelong learning programs further.

Purpose: This study is to analyze the research trends centering on the theses related to CAT released in nursing of Korea. Method: The researcher collected the academic degrees and theses published on the book of the academic society from 1980 to 2001, and examined 88 domestic dissertations on nursing science of the CAT. Result: 1) By department, the results were: the nursing thesis 88(43.3%), medical field 45(22.1%), psychology counseling education 28(14%). 2) In the type of the CAT in nursing, the results were: acupressure 28(31.5%), Dan-Jeon Breathing 14(15.7%), aroma therapy 5(5.6%) in order. 3) The number of theses increased every year after 1997. 4) As for the type of study design, the results were: the experimental research had the most(47), and the survey research(30). 5) As for the subject, the results were: patients with disease(44), healthy adults(29), literature(9) and medical staff were only 6 theses. 6) In the theme of the theses, the results were: the effect of therapy(76), the experience of therapy(26), adaptation of nursing of therapy(11) and literature review were 7. Conclusion: More research needs to be encouraged in the unsatisfactory fields. Researches should be conducted to extend into the practical fields as Korean nursing mediation, project for the establishment of health policies should be conducted.

Purpose: This study was to analyze the research trends centering on the theses and articles related to reflexology released in Korea. Method: This study is a descriptive study in which the researcher collected the academic degrees and theses published on the book of the academic society from 1983 to August 2005, and examined 52 domestic dissertations and articles on reflexology. Results: By academic department, the result were: the nursing theses 25(48.1%), and public health and physical education each 4(7.7%). In the type of reflexology, the result were: single therapy like hand acupuncture or hand moxibustion 27(61.4%), combined therapy 17(38.6%). As for the research design, the experimental research was most frequent (84.6%). As for the subject, the result were: healthy people 31(59.6.%), patient 11(21.1%), medical staff 7(14.9%) in order. In the theme of the theses, the effect of therapy were most frequent(84.6%). Conclusion: Researches about reflexology should be conducted and extend into interdisciplinary fields and medical areas. On the basis of preceding results, qualitative studies and international and cross-sectional comparison studies are needed to apply in practice with scientific background.

Buddhism have affected Korea traditional education very much. Sam Guk Yu Sa is a book which includes the public disposition grounded on world view of Buddhism. In the wide scope, the public disposition relates to their cultivating education. This paper reviewed cultivating education grounded on John Dewey "experience-learning" model about the Buddhistic public disposition appearing in Sam Guk Yu Sa. "Meaning-experience" as "adult-becoming" appearing in Sam Guk Yu Sa shows a strong characteristic of cultivating education when we see on a creative horizon in the Buddhistic world. Dewey-Deleuze's cultivating education which modernizes the theory of John Dewey meets at the place of the public disposition and three fables of Sam Guk Yu Sa grounded on the Buddhistic world. This could open possibility to interpret the cultivating theory of Korea traditional thought and western educational theory with interdigitation. Fables of Sam Guk Yu Sa dealt with growth and maturity of the public from Buddhist monk to folk wishes to achieve Bulgukto(佛國土; the land with Buddha) through the process of cultivating education which leads to "impulse-observation-knowledge-determination." In these series of process for "adult-becoming," life itself possesses characteristic of cultivating theory. In this respect, fables of Sam Guk Yu Sa shows Korea traditional cultivating theory and can be a role of a discourse book for cultivating educational theory which could relate to western educational theory.

This study analyzed the 77 most popular sexuality education books for children and young adults published in Korea, based on various criteria, including subject matters, format, implied readers, and author's occupational background. Among the key topics of the International technical guidance on sexuality education developed by UNESCO, the most mentioned was that it is natural to have curiosity on one's own feelings and body and that sex education books can help them learn about them. Respect on one's own body, knowledge of sexual and reproductive organs, eggs and sperms, menstrual cycle, effect of hormones were also easily found topics from the books. The least mentioned topics were HIV/AIDS and Gender-based violence. 63.5% of the analyzed books were books with/without illustrations. Other formats include picture books, comic books, and photo-illustrated books. Publication of books aimed for particular gender started to increase from 2019. Diversity of authors' occupation were also shown starting 2019. Further research on the role of sex education books is crucial to help all children and young adults develop their own sexuality and understand that of other people, and ultimately to live in a harmonious society.
