According to recent report, global mobile data traffic is expected to increase by 11 times from 2016 to 2020. Moreover, this growth is expected to be driven mainly by mobile video traffic which is expected to account for about 70% of the total mobile data traffic. To cope with enormous mobile traffic, we need to understand video traffic's characteristic. Recently, the repetitive requests of some popular content such as popular YouTube videos cause a enormous network traffic overheads. If we constitute a network with the nodes capable of content caching based on the content popularity, we can reduce the network overheads by using the cached content for every request. Through device-to-device, multicast, and helpers, the video throughput can improve about 1.5~2 times and prefix caching reduces the playback delay by about 0.2~0.5 times than the conventional method. In this paper, we introduce some recent work on content popularity-based caching techniques in wireless networks.

Nowadays, online or mobile social network services (SNS) are very popular and widely spread in our society and daily lives to instantly share, disseminate, and search information. In particular, SNS such as YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, and Amazon allow users to upload billions of images or videos and also provide a number of multimedia information to users. Information retrieval in multimedia-rich SNS is very useful but challenging task. Content-based media retrieval (CBMR) is the process of obtaining the relevant image or video objects for a given query from a collection of information sources. However, CBMR suffers from the dimensionality curse due to inherent high dimensionality features of media data. This paper investigates the effectiveness of the kernel trick in CBMR, specifically, the kernel principal component analysis (KPCA) for dimensionality reduction. KPCA is a nonlinear extension of linear principal component analysis (LPCA) to discovering nonlinear embeddings using the kernel trick. The fundamental idea of KPCA is mapping the input data into a highdimensional feature space through a nonlinear kernel function and then computing the principal components on that mapped space. This paper investigates the potential of KPCA in CBMR for feature extraction or dimensionality reduction. Using the Gaussian kernel in our experiments, we compute the principal components of an image dataset in the transformed space and then we use them as new feature dimensions for the image dataset. Moreover, KPCA can be applied to other many domains including CBMR, where LPCA has been used to extract features and where the nonlinear extension would be effective. Our results from extensive experiments demonstrate that the potential of KPCA is very encouraging compared with LPCA in CBMR.

The body is an important object of costume expression, and the reflection of the aesthetics of the body according to age, culture, individual or group determines the form of the costume. In particular, British artist Leigh Bowery provided many designers and celebrities with original design ideas. Leigh Bowery's costumes are related to the carnival concept. Thus, this study analyzed Leigh Bowery's life and works, and examined Michael Bakhtin's grotesque carnivalesque theory. Based on Bakhtin's carnival theory around 100 works by Leigh Bowery, in the form of YouTube videos and DVD clips were analyzed in this study. The results of the analysis Leigh Bowery's body and costume research are as follows. First, this study can define fetishism as a characteristic of costumes such as body suits, harnesses, high-heeled boots, and stockings, that stress the body. Second, the character of the body is not expressed as that of an idealized body, but the fat and ugly aspect are revealed. Third, Leigh Bowery's costumes are characterized by ambiguity. The costumes blur the boundaries between women and men. Fourth, common sense, combined with normal and bizarre, brings out a strong sense of carnival humor with ridiculousness arising from the gap between reality and reality. His performance has had a significant impact on victims of discrimination or unequal treatment in sexual, racial, and age-related situations. This study should inspire many designers through the study of Leigh Bowery's body expression and dress, but it also introduces fashion icons that are not well known in Korea.

Recently there is sharply increasing interest in watching and creating video contents such as YouTube. However, creating such video contents without privacy protection technique can expose other people in the background in public, which is consequently violating their privacy rights. This paper seeks to remedy these problems and proposes a technique that identifies faces and protecting portrait rights by blurring the face. The key contribution of this paper lies on our deep-learning technique with low detection error and high computation that allow to protect portrait rights in real-time videos. To reduce errors, an efficient tracking algorithm was used in this system with face detection and face recognition algorithm. This paper compares the performance of the proposed system with and without the tracking algorithm. We believe this system can be used wherever the video is used.

This study aims for investigating the consumers' reaction to the New Hanbok Style of K-pop idol groups. We collected YouTube videos and user comments that include 'Black Pink New Hanbok' as a keyword, applying social network analysis and sentiment analysis. First, the New Hanbok of Black Pink was designed as a mini-dress to make it easier to dance and turned out that it reinterpreted traditional elements modernly. Second, the issue about revealing costumes appeared as a keyword in domestic reactions, it did not appear in international reaction. Third, as a result of sentiment analysis, international audience viewed New Hanbok outfit more positively than domestic audience. This study is significant in that it suggests the direction to which New Hanbok should head to by investigating extensive consumers' reaction and finding out the positive and negative elements of New Hanbok.

We are able to watch international multimedia anytime and anywhere, if we have the devices to connect Internet. Netflix and Youtube are the most massive and the most visited streaming platforms in the world. So If audiences are not familiar with the exotic culture such as behaviors, contexts, sarcasm, history and the current issues, It would happen a consequence that they entirely have to rely on subtitles in order to get inform. This research hereby aims to compare Korean transcriptions of the same movies streamed by the two selected platforms(Netflix and Youtube). As a result, good translation is that translators should use appropriate omissions and detailed explanations in limited time and space so that audience can concentrate on the vedio. If translators study the work in depth and spend enough time working on it, the quality of translation will definitely increase. Finally, this study contributed to the revitalization of the video translation market, which is still in the past, through the misinterpretation of videos produced at a low unit price and with minimal time without guidelines for video translation.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of developing and continuously providing on-line hygiene education programs on the improvement of hygiene conditions in children's cafeterias. As a result of the 2020 sanitation and safety checklist analysis, 6 items (personal hygiene, separate use, clean ventilation, temperature control of refrigerators, country of origin, food distribution) were derived and on-line hygiene education programs for each of 6 items were produced. ① Customized educational materials and self-inspection checklists were provided to 208 children's cafeterias. After that, educational videos were provided through Kakao Talk twice a week for 6 months, and they were made available for viewing at any time through YouTube upload, ③ Kakao Talk Through this, a quiz related to the educational video was conducted to give feedback for interaction with the cook. As a result of analyzing the total hygiene and safety checklist score of all registered facility catering centers by visit order, in 2020 it was 82.8 points/100 points, but in 2021, it was 84.2 points (1st round), 89.3 points (2nd round), 91.4 points (3 points) The score improved significantly (p<0.001) as the on-line hygiene education program continued. As a result, significant (p<0.001) changes were observed in the items of 'Knife, chopping board' and 'Sanitation clothes, sanitary hat, sanitary shoes, apron, and sanitary gloves', confirming a clear improvement effect. Therefore, it is considered that the on-line hygiene education program will play a positive role in showing a lasting effect on improving hygiene management in children's cafeterias.

At present, domestic archives within the realm of performing arts predominantly focus on recording through videos, yet they often lack comprehensive documentation of crucial production processes and content services. Recognizing the contemporary significance of archival content services, this study analyzes the archival content within the national performing arts archives websites of the United Kingdom and the United States, serving as international benchmarks. The findings extrapolate insights and implications to propose enhancements for the Museum of Performing Arts in the National Theater of Korea. The analysis focused mainly on the missions and visions on the websites, examining 107 contents from the UK National Theater, 27 from the United States, and 9 from Korea. The suggested improvements encompass clarifying target users and execution tasks in the mission and vision statements, fostering expert collaborations, incorporating preview features, curating content with a single theme, and organizing a comprehensive list on the National Theater's YouTube channel.

The changing media landscape has diversified how and what is discussed about fashion. This study aims to examine expert discussions about fashion shows on social media from the perspective of fashion criticism. To achieve this goal objectively, a text mining program, Leximancer, was used. In total, 58 videos were collected from the panel discussion section of Showstudio from S/S 21 to S/S 24, and the results of text mining on 24,080 collected texts after refinement are detailed here. First, the researchers examined the frequency of keywords by season. This revealed that in 2021-2022, digital transformation, diversity, and fashion films are now commonly used to promote fashion collections, often replacing traditional catwalk shows. From 2023, sustainability and virtuality appeared more frequently, and fashion brands focused on storytelling to communicate seasonal concepts. In S/S 2024, the rise of luxury brand keywords and an increased focus on consumption has been evident. This suggests that it is influenced by social and cultural phenomena. Second, the overall keywords were analyzed and categorized into five concepts: formal descriptions and explanations of the collection's outfits, sociocultural evaluations of fashion shows and designers, assessments of the commerciality and sustainability of the current fashion industry, interpretations of fashion presentations, and discussions of the role of fashion shows in the future. The significance of this study lies in its identification of the specificity of contemporary fashion criticism and its objective approach to critical research.

Short-form content, which means "short video content within 10 minutes," is rapidly emerging as a recent trend among MZ generations based on the fact that it can be viewed whenever there is a short running time, and they are physically short, colorful, and deliver a lot of information in a compressed time, showing differences in both long-form content and format. In addition, entertainment videos such as information delivery videos, eating shows, web entertainment, and dance challenges are mainly produced and distributed, so there is no need to take expertise as a creative work of video experts, and consumers often become producers by directly participating in production using low-end equipment such as smartphones. For these reasons, shortform content creates new image styles rather than general existing image forms such as long-form contents, and this study focuses on changes in editing styles. This study summarized the following five characteristic changes by analyzing the editing style of short form content that has changed compared to long form content according to the 'visual' aspect. The use of frames, memes, screen division, blue screen, and subtitles are included, and by organizing each characteristic, we identified the editing style of shortform content that has emerged as a recent trend and learned about the changes.
