턱관절 자세 음양 교정술을 병행한 한방치료가 벨마비에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Korean Medical Treatments with Postural Yinyang Correction of Temporomandibular Joint on Bell's Palsy)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of Postural Yinyang Correction of TMJ(Functional Cerebrospinal Therapy; FCST) on Bell's palsy. Methods : We reviewed the medical records of 41 patients who were treated for Bell's palsy at the Dept. of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Dong-Eui University from January $1^{st}$, 2016 to August $31^{st}$, 2016. The patients were divided into 2 groups: Group A(n=21), and Group B(n=20). Patients in Group A were treated by Korean Medical Treatments with FCST using ABA(Accurate Balancing Appliance), a standard intra-oral appliance. Patients in Group B were treated by Korean Medical Treatments without FCST. To estimate the efficacy in recovering palsy, we analyzed the House-Brackmann Grading Scale and Yanagihara's Unweighted Grading System. Results : In both groups, H-B grades were improved significantly during each period except the period from the first visit to one week later(P01). The improvement of H-B grade during each period in Group A is higher than Group B except the period from one week later to two weeks later, but statistically insignificant. In Group A, Y-score was significantly improved during each period except during P01. In group B, Y-score was significantly improved during each period except during P01 and the period from the first visit to two weeks later. The improvement of Y-score during each period in Group A is higher than Group B, but statistically insignificant. Conclusions : FCST using Standard Intraoral Appliance may be helpful in treating Bell's Palsy, but the further researches are needed.

A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Acupotomy for Scoliosis

  • This review investigated the effectiveness and safety of acupotomy treatment for scoliosis. There were 7 online databases used in the search from inception to March 17, 2021, for randomized controlled trials of the use of acupotomy in patients with scoliosis. The Cochrane risk-of-bias tool was used to assess the methodological quality of the studies included (n = 12). A quantitative synthesis of the randomized controlled trials was performed using RevMan Version 5.3. The effect sizes of studies were presented as mean differences for continuous outcomes and risk ratios for dichotomous outcomes, with a 95% confidence interval. As part of combined therapy, acupotomy was reported to significantly improve Cobb's angle compared with other treatments. Likewise, the Visual Analog Scale score, the Oswestry Disability Index score, and pulmonary function were also reported to be improved following acupotomy combination therapy. Although 5 studies mentioned the criteria for reporting adverse events, only 1 study reported adverse events. In conclusion, acupotomy may be an effective treatment for scoliosis. However, the small number, and heterogeneity of the included studies, as well as the poor methodological quality, indicate that higher-quality studies should be conducted to verify the effectiveness and safety of acupotomy treatment for scoliosis.

단계(丹溪)의 학술사상(學術思想)이 한방부인과학(韓方婦人科學)에 미친 영향(影響)의 고찰(考察) (A Study of JuJinHyoung(朱震亨)'s Medical thoughts in Oriental Obstetric & Gynecology)

  • 금원사대가(金元四大家) 중의 한 사람인 주진형(朱震亨)은 주화론(主火論)의 영향을 받았지만 독창적인 "상화론(相火論)"과 "음부족이양유여(陰不足而陽有餘)"하다는 견해를 밝히면서 보음정이억상화(補陰精而抑相火)를 위주로한 치법(治法)을 제창하여 후대(後代)에 "자음파(滋陰派)"라고 불리운다. 이러한 단계(丹溪)의 의학사상(醫學思想)과 한방부인과학(韓方婦人科學)과 관련된 이론을 개괄하여 단계(丹溪)의 이론과 처방이 우리나라 한방(韓方) 부인과학(婦人科學)의 발전과정에 미친 영향을 고찰하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 단계(丹溪)의 증치사상(證治思想)의 특징은 거습담(祛濕痰), 조기(調氣), 자음청열(滋陰淸熱)의 치법(治法) 운용(運用)과 금욕적(禁慾的) 섭생(攝生)을 통한 양생론(養生論)이었으며, 둘째로 단계(丹溪)의 이론(理論)과 처방(處方)들은 <의방류취(醫方類聚)>와 <동의보감(東醫寶鑑)>에서 <단계심법(丹溪心法)>과 <단계심법부여(丹溪心法附餘)>의 내용을 대폭 수용함으로써 우리나라 한방부인과학(韓方婦人科學) 이론(理論)의 주요한 부분을 형성하는 계기가 되었으며, 셋째로, 부인과질환과 관련하여 월경병(月經病)에 조기(調氣) 및 거습담(祛濕痰)을, 불임증(不姙症)에는 월경불조(月經不調)와의 관련성(關聯性)은 물론 체형(體型) 체질별(體質別) 병기(病機)와 치법(治法)을 구분하였으며, "산전당청열양혈(産前當淸熱養血)" 이론에 의한 황금(黃芩) 백출(白朮)을 위주로 한 안태론(安胎論), "종담론치(從痰論治)"한 악조치법(惡阻治法), 난산예방(難産豫防), 산후(産後)의 "대보기혈(大補氣血)"등의 이론을 제시하여 단계(丹溪)의 학술사상이 우리나라 한방부인과학에 미친 영향은 많았던 것으로 사료된다.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine whether or not Postural Yinyang Correction of TMJ(Temporomandibular joint) using Standard intraoral appliance could decrease chronic low back pain. Methods : We reviewed the medical records of 40 patients with TMJ disorder aged from 30 to 70 years from 124 patients who were treated in chronic low back pain at Department of Acupuncture & Moxibustion of Korean Medicine Hospital of Dong-Eui University from November $1^{st}$, 2015 to June $5^{th}$, 2016. The patients were divided into 2 groups: Group A and Group B. In Group A, we treated the patients with acupuncture, sweet bee venom treatment and FCST(Functional Cerebrospinal Therapy) through Standard intraoral appliance from ABA(Accurate Balancing Appliance), Full body exercise therapy, and Upper cervical alignment balance therapy. In Group B, we treated the patients with acupuncture and sweet bee venom treatment. To estimate the effectiveness in controlling pain, we analyzed the Visual analog scale(VAS). To evaluate functional change of patients, we analyzed the Oswestry low back disability questionnaire(ODI). Results : In both groups, VAS and ODI decreased significantly. In the VAS, the result of Group A is significantly more effective than that of Group B. In the ODI, the result of Group A is statistically less effective compared to that of Group B, but not significantly. Conclusions : According to the results, Postural Yinyang Correction of TMJ using Standard intraoral appliance may be effective treatment for low back pain, but the further researches are needed.

A Single-Ended ADC with Split Dual-Capacitive-Array for Multi-Channel Systems

  • This paper presents a power and area efficient SAR ADC for multi-channel near threshold-voltage (NTV) applications such as neural recording systems. This work proposes a split dual-capacitive-array (S-DCA) structure with shifted input range for ultra low-switching energy and architecture of multi-channel single-ended SAR ADC which employs only one comparator. In addition, the proposed ADC has the same amount of equivalent capacitance at two comparator inputs, which minimizes the kickback noise. Compared with conventional SAR ADC, this work reduces the total capacitance and switching energy by 84.8% and 91.3%, respectively.

생체모방형 건구동식 의수의 설계 (Design of Biomimetic Hand Prosthesis with Tendon-driven Five Fingers)

  • This paper proposes a biomimetic hand prosthesis with tendon-driven five fingers. Each finger is composed of a distal-middle phalange, a proximal phalange and a metacarpal bone, which are connected to a link mechanism. The finger flexion is a resultant motion by pulling a wire to serve as a tendon, but the finger extension is performed by an elastic mechanism composed of a restoration spring. The designed hand prosthesis with tendon-driven five fingers has totally six degrees of freedom. But its weight is merely 400.73g. The hand can perform various hand functions such as the grasping and the hand postures. From experimental results, we show that the proposed hand prosthesis is useful to amputees as a prosthetic hand.

심층학습 기반 초해상화 기법을 이용한 슬로싱 압력장 복원에 관한 연구 (Study on the Reconstruction of Pressure Field in Sloshing Simulation Using Super-Resolution Convolutional Neural Network)

  • Deep-learning-based Super-Resolution (SR) methods were evaluated to reconstruct pressure fields with a high resolution from low-resolution images taken from a coarse grid simulation. In addition to a canonical SRCNN(super-resolution convolutional neural network) model, two modified models from SRCNN, adding an activation function (ReLU or Sigmoid function) to the output layer, were considered in the present study. High resolution images obtained by three models were more vivid and reliable qualitatively, compared with a conventional super-resolution method of bicubic interpolation. A quantitative comparison of statistical similarity showed that SRCNN model with Sigmoid function achieved best performance with less dependency on original resolution of input images.

COVID-19 감염 이후 발생한 인후부 이물감에 대한 한의치료 증례 1례 보고 (Case Report of Korean Medicine Treatment for Post-COVID-19 Globus Sensation)

  • Globus sensation is a continuous, intermittent, non-painful sensation of lumps or foreign substances in the throat. It was reported that 13.7% of patients developed globus sensations after COVID-19 infection. A 73-year-old male patient with a globus sensation after a COVID-19 infection was admitted to the ◯◯ Oriental Medicine Hospital and treated with herbal medicine (Banhahubak-tang, Sosiho-tang). Subjective symptoms of globus sensation were measured with the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) daily and found to reduce. The effect persisted during his admission. In conclusion, Korean medicine, including Banhahubak-tang, can be effective for patients with globus sensations after COVID-19 infections.

Target DNA 염기서열 내에 존재하는 비상동성 간격이 상동성재조합을 이용한 클로닝 빈도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Non-homologous Spacing in Target DNA Sequence on the Frequency of Cloning Based Homologous Recombination)

  • Transformation-associated recombination (TAR) 클로닝 법은 복잡한 게놈으로부터 염색체 내의 특정부위나 유전자를 선택적으로 분리할 수 있다. 이 방법은 목적 유전자에 근접한 작은 게놈DNA 염기서열 정보를 필요로 한다. 이 기술은 효모의 spheroplast transformation을 시키는 동안 목적으로 하는 유전자의 5' 또는 3' 서열을 포함하고 있는 TAR vector와 게놈DNA사이에서 일어나는 상동성재조합에 의해 이루어진다. 본 연구에서는 plasmid 모델시스템을 이용하여 target hooks 내에 존재하는 비상동성 염기서 열이 상동성재조합에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. plasmid에 존재하는HIS3유전자와 변형시킨 his3-TRP1-his3 단편 사이의 상동성재조합의 효율은 $Ura^+$ 형질전환체의 형질분석에 의해 이루어졌다. $Ura^+$ 형질전환체의 수는 7종류의 서로 달리 변형된 his3-TRP1-his3 단편들을 사용하였을 매 거의 동일하게 나타났다. 그러나 $Trp^+His^+$ positive recombinants의 빈도는 변형된 his3-TRP1-his3 단편 내에 비상동성 영역에 부정확한 간격을 지닐 때 현저한 감소를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과로서, 부정확한 간격이 target hook과 substrate DNA 사이에 일어나는 상동성재조합을 방해하는 것으로 사료된다. 그러므로 이종간의 상동유전자를 클로닝 할 때에는 target hook내의 비상동성 염기서열이 존재한다면 이것이 정확한 간격을 지니는지 여부를 중요란 요인으로 고려해야 한다.

$SF_6-N_2$ 혼합기체에서의 하이드레이트 상평형 조건 및 속도론에 대한 연구 ($SF_6-N_2$ mixture gas hydrates equilibrium and kinetic characteristics)

  • $SF_6$ 가스는 높은 절연 특성으로 인해 산업공정에서 순수 또는 $N_2$$CO_2$ 가스를 혼합시켜 광범위하게 사용되고 있다. 그러나 $SF_6$ 가스의 지구온난화지수는 $CO_2$ 대비 23,900배로 환경에 치명적인 영향을 줄 수 있으므로, $SF_6$ 가스에 대한 분리 및 처리에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 조성에 따른 $SF_6-N_2$ 혼합기체의 3상평형(물-하이드레이트-기체)점을 측정하였다. 측정결과 $N_2$가 더 많이 첨가된 혼합기체일수록 순수 $SF_6$의 상평형 조건보다 더 높은 압력, 더 낮은 온도에서 형성됨을 알 수 있었고 라만분석으로 실제 만들어진 하이드레이트 내에 혼합기체를 확인하였다. 또한 하이드레이트 형성속도 및 회수기체의 조성을 측정하여 분리 및 회수의 효율을 살펴보았다. 본 실험에서 얻어진 결과는 $SF_6$ 혼합기체의 분리 및 처리에 관한 연구의 중요한 기초 자료가 될 것이다.
