  • A digital over current relay(OCR) is realized by using TMS320C32 microprocessor. Fourier Transform is used to obtain the phasor of a current signal and a 2nd low pass filter is adopted to prevent aliasing error. H/W test shows almost same results with those of the S/W test. It could be possible that confirm simularity between H/W and S/W test in this paper.

  • A study on the test method and the test facilities of synthetic capacitive current tests have been very slight and the direct test method with the short-circuit generator and power transformer only used up to now. However, according to the development of analysis technique of power system and design and manufacture technique we are realized that direct testing method is not satisfactory to evaluate the performance of circuit-breaker because it is difficult to simulate precisely the conditions of power system. Therefore, in order to solve these problem this paper deals with the tests methods and the design technique of the tests facilities of the synthetic capacitive current based on the same theory with the synthetic short-circuit tests.

  • The aim of the research is analyzing the performance of the concrete IoT management system invented with similar technique from 'G' company to certify the performance of CIMS. As a results, the compressive strength assessing performance was compared. Since both systems assess concrete compressive strength with maturity method based on measured concrete temperature, both systems measured concrete temperature similarly, and maturity was calculated similarly. Therefore, the assumed compressive strength values were similar for both systems. Therefore, through the test, compressive strength assessing performance of CIMS was considered as a similar level of the 'G' company's system. Furthermore, it is considered that the CIMS has an additional advantage of reusability, adding capability of additional sensor, and wider range of Bluetooth communication.

  • Electrical endurance is the critical characteristic of Magnetic contactors(MCs), which are widely used in such power equipment as elevators, cranes, and factory control rooms in order to close and open control circuits. Testing time, however, is not short in typical cases in which some method of reducing the testing period is required. This study shows the method of determining the stress level of electrical ALT(Accelerated Life Test) through optical temperature sensor and the relationship between 0.05 s and 0.1 s for on-time. The tool used for analyzing the test result is MINITAB. I will propose the method of determining the optimized stress level through optical temperature sensor, which will contribute to minimize the testing time and development period and also raise the product reliability.

  • This study simulated a control rod assembly (CRA), which is a part of reactor shutdown systems, in immersed and fluid flow conditions. The CRA was inserted into the reactor core within a predetermined time limit under normal and abnormal operating conditions, and the CRA (which consists of complex geometric shapes) drop behavior is numerically modeled for simulation. A full-scale prototype CRA drop test is established under room temperature and water-fluid conditions for verification and validation. This paper describes the details of the numerical modeling and analysis results of the several conditions. Results from the developed numerical simulation code are compared with the test results to verify the numerical model and developed computer code. The developed code is in very good agreement with the test results and this numerical analysis model and method may replace the experimental and CFD method to predict the drop behavior of CRA.

  • During tensile test, tensile strain of tensile tester is measured by movement distance of upper zig and initial specimen's length. Conventional tensile tester program obtains the tensile strain after the end of the test, however the method is not appropriate in real time because the results are calculated until the test is finished. We suggest a real-time measurement system of tensile strain using ArUco Marker in OpenCV library. The system is designed to detect marker attached on the upper zig and calculate specimen's tensile strain. According to comparison of the calculated data and the results of the tester, errors approximately showed 0.128 mm on 3840×2160 video resolution.

  • Instrumental and sensory characteristics of chewing gums were measured at each masticatory stage, and the correlations between the characteristics were analyzed. In instrumental characteristics, similarities were proved between initial puncture work and puncture force, intermediate hardness and penetration work, final hardness and penetration work, and adhesion work and adhesion force. Final hardness correlated highly with yield force and the slope of force-distance curve of penetration test, and the slope also correlated significantly with springiness and adhesion force. In sensory characteristics, the correlations of the same parameter between trained panel and consumer were extremely high. Initial stiffness correlated significantly with both intermediate and final firmness by consumer. Highly significant correlations were obtained between final firmness and stiffness and between lift and cohesion by trained panel, whereas firmness correlated with adhesion negatively.

  • The purpose of this study was to test a reliability and validity of the Korean version of Eating Attitudes Test-26(KEAT-26). Using multi-stage sampling, we finally got 3,496 subjects(1422 males and 2074 females) who were available for analysis from target 4,400 Korean adults over 18 in the nationwide areas of9 kus, 10 middle or small cities, and 17 kuns. We tried to make T score norm of the KEAT-26 as a cutoff score and STEN score norm as a index of severity for disordered eating behaviors. For the male group, Cronhach's internal consistency was .83 and Spearman-Brown split half correlation coefficiency was .75. For the female group, each of them was .81 and .75, and .81, .75 for the grand total group respectively. Validity test was performed by construct validation analysis. By a iterated principal axis factoring, 4 factors were extracted. There were some differences in the factors of the KEAT-26 by sex. In the male group, factor I was 'self-control of eating and bulimic symptom', factor II was 'food preoccupation and dieting', factor III was 'preoccupation with being thinner', factor N was 'avoidance of sweet foods'. In contrast with the male group, factor I was 'self-control of eating and bulimic symptom', factor II was 'preoccupation with being thinner', factor III was 'food preoccupation' and factor N was 'dieting' in the female group. We used T score 65 as a cutoff score. T score 65 corresponded to raw score 19 in the male group, 22 in the female group and 21 in the grand total group. Severity of disordered eating behaviors was measured by a STEN score. In the male group, each of the score range of 0-10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-22 and over 23 represented the degree of none, subclinical, manifest, moderate and severe severity respectively. Each of the score range of 0-13, 14-17, 18-21, 22-26 and over 27 in the female group, and the score range of 0-12, 13-16, 17-20, 21-25 and over 26 in the grand total group also represented the same degree of severity as like in the male group. These results support that KEAT-26 is a reliable and valid scale for evaluating disordered eating behaviors and eating problems.

  • The reliability assurance with respect to the test procedure and results of the out-pile mechanical performance test for the nuclear fuel assembly is an essential task to assure the test quality and to get a permission for fuel loading into the commercial reactor core. For the case of vibration test, which is carried out to obtain basic dynamic characteristics of the fuel assembly, proper management and appropriate calibration of instruments and devices used in the test, various efforts to minimize the possible error during the test and signal acquisition process are needed. Additionally, the deep understanding both of the theoretical assumption and simplification cation for the signal processing/modal analysis and of the functions of the devices used in the test were highly required. Finally, to verify the test result to represent the accurate natural characteristics of the structure, the proper correlation analysis between the theoretical and experimental method has to be carried out. In this study, the overall procedure and result of lateral vibration test for the fuel assembly's mechanical characterization were briefly introduced. A series of measures to assure and improve the reliability of the vibration test were discussed.

  • The mathematical models of hydrodynamic force and moment acting on a ship at low speed range should be established differently from the ones at nominal cruising speed range since a ship moves with large drift angle or rotates in a stationary position. We modified widely used Yoshimura's cross flow model in order to apply the system identification method to estimate parameters in the model. The apparatus and the procedure of free running model test were suggested so that the parameters in the model be estimated. The validity of our proposing modified model and test procedure was confirmed by comparison with the results of simulated model test.
