Y2Ba1Cu1Ox공정을 이용한 TFA-MOC YBCO 박막 공정 개발 (Fabrication of TFA-MOD YBCO Films Using Y2Ba1Cu1Ox Process)

  • YBCO film was synthesized by using a new approach to the TFA-MOD method. In the fabrication process, $Y_2Ba_1Cu_1O_x\;and\;Ba_3Cu_5O_8$ powders were used as precursors (the so called '211 process'), instead of Y-, Ba-, and Cu-based acetates, and dissolved in trifluoroacetic acid followed by calcining and firing heat treatment. Consequently, we successfully fabricated YBCO film and evaluated the phase formation, texture evolution, and critical properties as a function of the calcining and firing temperature and humidity, in order to explore its possible application in coated conductor fabrication. The films were calcined at $430-460^{\circ}C$ and then fired at $750-800^{\circ}C\;in\;a\;0-20\%$ humidified $Ar-O_2$ atmosphere. We observed that $BaF_2$ phase was effectively reduced and that a sharp and strong biaxial texture formed under humidified atmosphere leading to increased critical properties. In addition, we found that the microstructure varied significantly with the firing temperature: the grain grew further, the film became denser, and the degree of texture and phase purity varied as the firing temperature increased. For the film fired at $775^{\circ}C$ after calcining at $460^{\circ}C$, the critical current was obtained to be 39 A/cm-width (corresponding critical current density is $2.0\;MA/cm^2$ which was probably attributed to such factors as the enhanced phase purity and out-of-plane texture, the moderate film density and grain size, and crack-free surface.

  • We fabricated $YBa_2Cu_33O_{7-x}$(YBCO) films on(00l) $LaAlO_3$ substrates prepared by metal organic deposition(MOD) method using trifluoroacetate(TFA) solution and evaluated the effects of the humidity on the microstructure, phase purity, and critical properties. The films calcined at $430^{\circ}C$ were fired at $775^{\circ}C$ at 0%, 4.2%, 12.1%, and 20.0% humidified As gas mixed with 0.1% $O_2$. We observed that the amount of $BaF_2$ phase was effectively reduced and that a sharp and strong biaxial texture formed under a humidified atmosphere, leading to increased critical properties. For the films fired at 0% humidity, the $T_c\;and\;I_c$ were undetectably small. When the humidity was increased to 4.2%, the corresponding $T_c$(onset) and $I_c$ were increased to 90.5 K and 8 A/cm-width, respectively. For the films at the humidity range of 12.1-20.0%, the $I_c$ was found to be 35 A/cm-width. According to the results of the XRD, pole-figure, and SEM, these improved critical properties are probably attributed to the formation of a purer YBCO phase, larger grain size, and stronger c-axis orientation.

  • For the c-axis oriented epitaxial YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{7-{\delta}}$ thin film on r-cut sapphire substrate it is necessary to deposit buffer layers. The CeO$_2$buffer layer was deposited on sapphire substrate using RF magnetron sputtering system. We investigated XRD pattern of CeO$_2$thin films at various sputtering conditions such as sputtering gas ratio, sputtering power, target to substrate distance, sputtering pressure and substrate temperature. The optimum condition was 15 mTorr with deposition pressure, 1:1.2 with $O_2$and Ar ratio and 9cm with target to substrate distance. The CeO$_2$(200) peak was notable for a deposition temperature above 75$0^{\circ}C$. The YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{7-{\delta}}$ was deposited on CeO$_2$buffered r-cut sapphire substrate using pulsed laser ablation. The YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{7-{\delta}}$CeO$_2$(200)/A1$_2$O$_3$thin film was exhibited a critical temperature of 89K.xhibited a critical temperature of 89K.

  • A new single solution source MOCVD technique for the deposition of YBCO film has been developed, using a ultrasonic atomizer to feed the precursors into an evaporation zone. This method being investigated as a basis for future long wire fabrication, for example the electric power use, the magnatic applications, etc.. YBCO films were prepared on MgO(100) substrate, using mixture of Y, Ba, and Cu ${\beta}$ -diketonate chelate was dissolve in tetrahydrofuran as a solution sources. X-ray diffraction measurement indicated that the thin film grew epitaxially with the c-axis orientation perpandicular to the surface of the surface.

  • YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{7-{\delta}}$(YBCO) high temperature superconducting thin films were grown on SrTiO$_3$single crystal substrates by pulsed laser deposition(PLD). The texture and lattice parameter of the YBCO films were analysed using the GADDS (general area detector diffraction system) which enables XRD analyses to be done faster and with fewer sample movement than with the XRD system with point detector. The XRD results of the films grown in different deposition conditions are reported together with the SEM microstructure analysis results.ysis results.

  • In this thesis, Josephson junction using high-Tc superconducting multi-layer thin film has been fabricated by on-axis RF magnetron sputtering method. And, the characterizations were performed by X-ray diffraction, SEM and the measuring system of critical current density. The physical properties of multi-layer superconducting thin films were also analyzed with the measured results. To fabricate the multi-layer superconducting thin films, the optimum partial pressure of Argon and Oxgen and the temperature of substrate were measured. Also, YBaCuO thin film was grown on MgO and $SrTiO_3$ substrates by rf-sputtering and LGO thin film of 30 A was epitaxially grown on the YBaCuO thin film as a josephson junction with the same condition. The schottky barrier at the contact surface between YBaCuO/LGO and YBaCuO/Au and the energy gap of 0.5 ${\sim}$ 0.6 mV in Nb were observed from the dI/dV-V of YBaCuO/LGO/Au/Nb and YBaCuO/Au/Nb.

  • 이 논문에서는 고온초전도체로 제작된 위성통신용 고온초전도 3dB 커플러에 대하여 보고한다. 커플러 제작에 사용된 초전도체는 MgO 기판위에 증착된 YBCO 고온초전도 박막이었다. 중심 주파수는 408 MHz 대역폭은 위성통신 기지국용 전력 결합기가 안정적으로 동작하도록 15 MHz의 광대역을 설정하였다. 설계를 위해 기존의 분포정수로회로를 ABCD Matrix를 이용해서 집중정수 회로로 전환하였고, 컴퓨터 모의실험을 위해 em Sonnet 상업용 프로그램을 사용하였다. 컴퓨터 모의 실험시 초전도체의 저항은 0으로 하였고, 기타 유전손실은 없는 것으로 가정하였다. 측정결과 우수한 대역폭 특성을 보여주었지만, 대체적으로 12 MHz의 대역폭이 측정되었으며 이는 설계시 모멘트 법 적용에 따른 계산 셀의 정밀도에서 기인하는 것으로 보이며 좀더 세밀한 계산 셀을 사용할 경우, 정확한 계산이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • For many large-scale applications of high-temperature superconducting materials, large critical current density ($J_c$) in high applied magnetic fields are required. A number of methods have been reported to introduce artificial pinning centers in $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$ films for enhancement of their $J_c$. We studied the microstructures and characteristic of $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$ films fabricated on $SrTiO_3$ (100) substrates with ZnO nanorods as pinning centers. Au catalyst nanoparticles were synthesized on STO substrates with self assembled monolayer to control the number of ZnO nanorods. The density of Au nanoparticles is approximately $240{\sim}260{\mu}m^{-2}$ with diameters of $41{\sim}49nm$. ZnO nanorods were grown on STO by hot-walled PLD with Au nanoparticles. Typical size of ZnO nanorod was around 179 nm in diameter and $2{\sim}6{\mu}m$ in length respectively. YBCO films deposited directly on STO substrates show the c-axis orientation, while YBCO films with ZnO nanorods exhibit any mixed phases without any typical crystal orientation.

  • Temperature dependences of the unloaded Q(Q$_{0}$) and the resonant frequency ( $f_{0}$) of YB $a_2$C $u_3$ $O_{7-{\delta}}$ (YBCO) microstrip ring resonators and rutile-loaded cylindrical cavity resonators were measured at low temperatures. Dc magnetron-sputtered YBCO films grown on Ce $O_2$-buffered r-cut sapphire (CbS) substrates were used fur this purpose. The surface resistances ( $R_{s}$) of YBCO films measured by both a microstrip ring resonator and a TE $01\delta$/ mode rutile-loaded cylindrical cavity resonator are compared with each other. It turned out that the values of $R_{s}$ measured by the microstrip resonator technique are comparable to those by the rutile-loaded resonator technique at temperatures lower than ~50 K. However, above 50 K, the $R_{s}$ measured by the microstrip resonator technique appeared higher according to the temperature. Our results show that the current crowding effects near the edge of a microstrip resonator become more significant at temperatures near the critical temperature.emperature.e.e.e.e.e.e.

  • 고온초전도 선재 중에서 YBCO 박막을 금속테이프에 증착하여 제조되는 coated conductor는 높은 자기장에서도 임계전류밀도의 감소가 크지 않아 고자장용 초전도 자석을 제조하는데 많이 활용될 것으로 기대되고 있다. coated conductor를 고자장용 초전도 자석제작에 활용하기 위해서는 긴 길이의 도체를 제조하는 것과 함께, 도체의 접합기술이 필요하다. 이는 초전도 자석을 영구전류모드로 운전하기 위해서는 도체의 접촉저항이 충분히 적어야 하기 때문이다. 그러나 박막형 coated conductor는 아직 긴 길이의 선재제조기술이 확립되어 있지 않고, 또 박막형 coated conductor의 형태와 사용되는 제조기술이 본질적으로 초전도 접합을 형성시키기에 매우 어려워서 아직 까지 초전도 접합에 대한 연구결과가 발표되지 않고 있으며, 접합 특성을 측정하는 기술도 개발되지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 coated conductor의 접합특성을 측정하기 위한 기본적인 시험방법을 제안하고, 전도성 금속접합재를 이용한 접합시료를 제작하여 그 특성을 평가한 결과를 발표한다.
