이기종 간의 문서 교환 표준으로 제안되 SGML은 문서의 구조정보를 표현할 수 있는 장점으로 인해 CALS(Commerce At Light Speed), EC(Electronic Commerce), EDI(Electronic Data Interchange), 전자 도서관(Digital Library) 등 여러 분야에서 사용되고 있다. 이렇게 SGML이 여러 분야에서 사용됨에 따라 많은 SGML 문서 중에서 원하는 문서를 효율적으로 찾아줄 수 있는 검색 시스템의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 이에 본 연구실에서는 기본적인 구조 검색을 지원하는 SGML 문서 관리시스템을 기개발하였다. 그러나 이 시스템은 구조 검색을 효과적으로 지원하기 못하기 때문에 본 연구에서는 구조 검색의 기능을 정의하고, 이를 지원하는 새로운 구조 질의어를 정의하였다. 또한 이러한 구조 검색을 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 구조 색인을 정의하였다. 그리고 구조 검색 방식으로 세가지 방식을 각각 구현 및 실험하여 그 중에서 성능이 뛰어난 절충식을 이용하여 검색 시스템을 구현하였다.

Program plagiarism is a significant factor to reduce the quality of education in computer programming. In this paper, we propose the technique of identifying similar or identical programs in order to prevent students from reckless copying their programming assignments. Existing approaches for identifying similar programs are mainly based on fingerprints or pattern matching for text documents. Different from those existing approaches, we propose an approach based on the program structur. Using paring progrmas, we first transform programs into XML documents by representing syntactic components in the programs with elements in XML document, then run X-tree Diff+, which is the change detection algorithm for XML documents, and produce an edit script as a change. The decision of similar or identical programs is made on the analysis of edit scripts in terms of program plagiarism. Analysis of edit scripts allows users to understand the process of conversion between two programs so that users can make qualitative judgement considering the characteristics of program assignment and the degree of plagiarism.

vCard that is the electronic business card automates the exchange of personal information typically found on a traditional business card. vCard information contains not only simple text, but also graphics and multimedia data like pictures, company logos, Web addresses, and so on. This paper describes the design and implementation of Web-based vCard agent system for exchanging vCard, an electronic business card and searching another user's vCard in mobile phone environment. In today's business environment, such as that this information is typically exchanged on business cards. Our web agent system in this paper connect web server which provide vCard service and search, edit vCard information displayed by web browser of mobile phone and exchange vCard with another user through internet. Considering characteristics of wireless devices that have limited storage space, It also saves constructed XML documents that include user's informations in a web server and solves the security problem by exchanging not personal data or XML but encrypted directory name where XML document exits as exchanging vcard.

Since XML emerged as a standard for data exchange on the web, it has been established as a core component in e-Commerce and efficient query processing over XML data in ubiquitous computing environment has been also receiving much attention. Recently, the techniques were proposed whereby an XML document is fragmented into XML fragments to be streamed and the mobile clients receive the stream while processing queries over it. In processing queries over an XML fragment stream, the average access time significantly depends on the order of fragments in the stream. As such, for query performance, an efficient organization of XML fragment stream is required as well as the indexing for energy-efficient query processing due to the reduction of tuning time. In this paper, a technique of XML fragment stream organization based on query frequencies, fragment size, fragment access frequencies, and an active XML-based indexing scheme are proposed. Through implementation and performance experiments, our techniques were shown to be efficient compared with the conventional XML fragment stream organizations.

본 연구는 도로, 하천, 댐 등 시설물 건설공사를 설계하는 과정에서 생성되는 각종 보고서, 계산서, 내역서 등의 설계문서를 단순하게 전자화하지 않고 정해진 구성체계와 항목에 따라 전자화 할 수 있도록 전자문서 표준체계를 정립하고자 DTD를 개발하였다. 아울러, XML을 기반으로 설계문서를 전자문서화하기 위한 개발 절차와 방법을 마련하였으며 건설분야에 설계문서 DTD를 적용하기 위한 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

XML은 인터넷을 기반으로 하는 정보교환의 매개체로서 다양한 응용분야로 확산됨에 따라 전자상거래를 위해 최근에 매우 중요한 기준이 되었으며 많은 소프트웨어 디자이너들은 XML 형식의 정보를 토대로 새로운 시스템을 개발하고 있다. 본 논문은 XML을 처리하기 위해 일반적인 아키텍처를 제안하는데 XML과 XSLT와 HTTP와 Java Servlets 같은 기술을 사용하면서 XML 프로세싱 시스템을 디자인 한다. 본 연구는 일반적이면서도 유연하고, scalable하며, 확장성이 있으며 또한 분산 프레임 환경에 적합하게 디자인을 하고있다. 이러한 아키텍처와 시스템의 주요한 응용은 전자 산업 시스템의 데이터 교환을 지원하는 중요한 것이 되었기에 이에 소개하고자 한다.

The advanced medical information systems usually consist of loosely-coupled interaction of independent systems, such as HIS/RIS and PACS. To support easier information exchange between these systems and between hospitals, and to support new types of medical service such as teleradiology, it becomes essential to integrate separated medical information and allow them to be exchanged and retrieved through internet. This thesis proposes an integrated medical information system using XML. We analyzed HL7 and DICOM standard formats, and designed an integrated XML DTD. We extracted information from HL7 messages and DICOM files and generated XML document instances and XSL stylesheets based on the proposed XML DTD. We implemented the web interface for the integrated medical information system, which supports data sharing, information exchange and retrieval between two different standard formats. The proposed XML-based integrated medical information system will contribute to solve the problems of current medical information systems, by enabling integration of separated medical informations and by allowing data exchange and sharing through internet. The proposed system with XML is more robust than web-based medical information systems developed by using HTML, because XML itself provides more flexibility and extensibility than HTML.

인터넷 사용이 보편화되어 감에 따라 기업의 정보 시스템이 인터넷 기반의 인트라넷 익스트라넷 시스템으로 구축되어 가고 있으며 인터넷 환경에서의 기업과 소비자간 또는 기업과 기업간의 전자거래 관련 응용 프로그램의 개발이 다양해지고 있다. 기업간의 전자 거래에 있어서 정보의 공유 또는 교환의 필수 요소는 공유 또는 교환되어지는 데이터의 형태가 표준화되어 추가적인 데이터의 가공 또는 변환 과정을 거치지 않고 사용할 수 있도록 제공되어져야 한다, 본 논문에서는 인터넷, 인트라넷 등에서 데이터와 포맷 두 가지 모두를 공유하려고 할 때 유용한 방법으로 보편적인 문서의 표준이 되고 있는 XML을 기반으로 하며 기업간의 정보 공유 또는 교환이 이루어 질 수 있는 구매 입찰 조달 시스템 등의 전자상거래 구축에 응용 가능한 작업관리 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 작업관리 시스템은 XML을 기반으로 하여 문서의 표준화가 이루어지며 플랫폼 독립적인 포맷을 제공하여 특정 제품에 관련된 특정 환경의 제약을 받지 않고 사용가능 한 특징을 갖는다.

산업자원부가 전자상거래에 대하여 전자분서에 대한 법적효력 통일을 위해 법이 규정한 특별한 경우를 제외하고는 일반 종이 서류와 동일하게 효력을 부여함으로써 앞으로 전자 문서에 관여하여 행정부와 기업 등을 막론하고 일반인에게까지 관심사로 대두되고 있다. 이런 시점에서 직업훈련 업무 시스템을 웹 문서화함은 당연하다고 하겠다. 웹의 문서화를 위하여 기존에 사용되고 있는 HTML언어는 자체적으로 한계가 있어 최근 XML(extensible Markup Language)의 장점에 대한 인식이 확산되면서 이를 이용한 응용들의 개발이 진행되고 있다. (1) 기존의 직업훈련 업무 시스템은 대부분 오프라인 상으로 업무를 처리하였으며 온라인 상으로 업무를 처리하더라도 웹서버에서 DB를 연동한 클라이언트-서버 관계에서 클라이언트인 업무자가 오랜 시간을 기다려야만 했다. 본 논문에서는 XML을 이용한 실시간 직업훈련 업무 시스템을 제안함으로써 웹상에서 DB 연동 없이 데이터를 처리함으로써 직업훈련 업무 시스템의 문제점이었던 오프라인상의 업무를 웹 상에서 구현하여 업무에 효과가 있음을 보여줌으로써 XML의 장점을 확인한다.

네트워크를 기반으로 한 인터넷의 급속한 발전은 개인간의 관계뿐만 아니라, 기업간의 업무 내역에 있어서도 많은 영향을 주었으며, 기존 기업간 문서 교환 시스템의 표준으로 활용되어 오던 독자적인 VAN망을 이용한 전통적 방식의 EDI(Electronic Data Interchange) 역시 많은 변화를 가져 왔다. 전통적 방식의 EDI가 기업 간 거래 수행을 할 수 있도록 '표준 포맷'으로 된 기업 거래 문서를 컴퓨터로 상호 통신한다는 EDI의 기본적인 개념에 충실하며 정확한 데이터 전송 및 보안이 가능한 장점에도 불구하고, 초기 구축비용 과다와 패쇄적인 구조로 인하여 시스템 확장에 어려움이 있으며, 또한 유지 보수 및 운영에도 지속적인 추가 비용이 소요되는 단점을 함께 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 위와 같은 전통적 방식의 EDI 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 컨테이너터미널과 선사간의 EDI를 이용한 메시지 송ㆍ수신 업무를 지난 2001년 8월 정부에서 기업간 전자 거래를 위한 데이터 교환 모델로서 권고한 ebXML 프레임워크를 이용하여 ebXML기반 EDI시스템으로 구현하였다.
