In most organizations, the relational DBMS was used for store and manage XML documents due to the pre-established relational DBMS. But, relational DBMS has some problems. They has the possibilities of informational loses in the process of mapping the structure of XML documents to RDB, and they require expensive cost to reflect all XML properties. Thus, this paper was intended to design and implement XML document management system which utilize O2 DBMS-object oriented DBMS in order to overcome the existing problem and reflect all XML Properties. The XML document management system purposed in this thesis has multiple function, such as the library service function for XML documents-check-in/check-out, versioning, user access management-, dynamic indexing and retrieval, and publishing function using style sheet.

웹 기반의 분산 환경에서 데이터를 공유, 사용하려는 노력은 끊임 없이 계속되어 왔다. 기존의 HTML 문서를 이용할 경우에는 그 언어자체가 가지고 있는 한계성 때문에 효과적으로 문서를 공유하기가 어렵다. 이에 대한 대안으로 XML을 이용한 문서 교환 방법이 제시되고 있다. 하지만 서로 다른 DTD를 기반으로 작성된 XML문서를 교환할 경우에는 문제가 발생하게 된다. DTD가 서로 다른 사용자에 의해서 작성되었기 때문에 XML 문서 내의 태그 뿐만 아니라 문서가 가지고 있는 그 구조 또한 서로 상이하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 상이한 DTD를 기반으로 작성된 XML문서를 교환할 경우에 고려 해야 하는 XML 문서의 구조적 상이성의 예를 보여주고 이에 대한 해결 알고리즘을 제시한다. 문서 구조의 상이성은 적절한 매핑 테이블과 트리 구조를 이용한 태그 변환 방법을 이용하여 해결할 수 있다. 데이터 레지스트리와 본 논문에서 제안한 문서의 구조와 태그 변환 방법을 사용하면 XML 문서를 효과적으로 교환 할 수 있다.

XML(eXtensible Markup Language) has emerged as a prevalent standard for document representation and exchange on the Internet. XML documents contain information of different sensitivity degrees, so that XML Document must selectively shared by user communities. There is thus the need for models and mechanisms enabling the specification and enforcement of access control policies for XML documents. Mechanisms are also required enabling a secure and selective dissemination of documents to users, according to the authorizations which the users have. In this paper, we give an account of access control model and mechanisms, which XML documents can be securely protected in web environments. We make RBAC Based access Control polices to the problem of secure and selective access of XML documents. The proposed model and mechanism guarantee that the secure use for XML documents through definition of authority for element, attribute, link within XML document as well as XML document.

본 논문에서는 XML 문서를 관계형 데이터베이스에 저장하는 XML 문서 저장 시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템은 XML 문서 구조인 DTD(Document Type Definition)를 보완한 XML Schema를 XML 문서의 기반 구조로 사용하며, 또한 XML 문서의 저장과 색인의 효율성 밀 유효성 검사를 위해 XML 문서에 대한 저장구조를 XML Schema와 XML Instance 문서간의 통함 정적 테이블과 필드들을 가지는 형태로 생성, 처리토록 하였으며, 그 결과 XML 문서와 XML Schema간의 구조상의 유효성을 증대시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

관계형 데이타베이스에 저장되어 있는 데이타를 XML 문서로 추출하기 위해서는 데이블에 저장된 데이타를 XML 문서 형식에 맞는 계층적인 관계를 가지도록 구조화하는 과정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 관계형 데이타베이스를 사용하는 XML 저장 및 검색 시스템인 eXDM(embedded XML Database Management System)의 내부에서 구현한 XML 문서 추출 서브시스템에 대하여 기술한다. 이 시스템은 XML 문서에 대한 질의(XQuery)의 RETURN 절과 SORTBY 절을 분석하여, 관계형 데이타베이스에 저장되어 있는 데이타를 구조화하여 계층적인 구조를 가지는 XML 문서 형태로 추출한다.

As the web document of XML, an exchange language of data in the advanced Internet, is increasing, a target of information retrieval becomes the web documents. Therefore, there we researches on structure, integration and retrieval of XML documents. This paper proposes a clustering method of XML documents based on frequent structures, as a basic research to efficiently process query and retrieval. To do so, first, trees representing XML documents are decomposed and we extract frequent structures from them. Second, we perform clustering considering the weight of large items to adjust cluster creation and cluster cohesion, considering frequent structures as items of transactions. Third, we show the excellence of our method through some experiments which compare which the previous methods.

VoiceXML 문서는 음성 응답 시스템을 위한 표준화된 문서로서 기존의 고비용과 폐쇄된 환경에서만 가능했던 음성 응답 시스템을 개발자와 사용자의 입장에서 손쉽게 구축할 수 있게 하였다. 본 논문에서는 VoiceXML 문서 저장과 생성을 위해 VoiceXML 문서를 관계형 데이터베이스에 저장하기 위한 VoiceXML Document Processor와 클라이언트에게 VoiceXML 문서로 된 음성 정보를 제공하기 위한 VoiceXML Document Generator를 설계하고 구현하여 VoiceXML 문서 관리 시스템 구현하였다.

Existing XML editors, which are usually tree-based, require knowledge on the XML from users. But this requirement should be removed in order for any user to create XML documents easily. In this paper, we developed a new XML editor which provides both the usual tree-based interface and the form-based interface derided from the original document. Editing XML documents through forms will be especially effective in the places such as enterprise or municipal office where a large amount of documents of same format need to be generated. Forms, which are HTML documents, are generated automatically through the XSLT using both template XML document and XSL document, and displayed on the built-in HTML browser. When a form is filled out by user, it will he transformed into its corresponding XML document and stored into the XML repository.

With the spread of internet, the digitalization and the knowledge informatization are in progress rapidly. Specially, numerous users make the various works and use the services on the web. For the most part, these works make use of the XML The XML shines the reusing of the documents because it is separated from contents and sues. Also, it can re-define the logic structure of the document for requirement of the developer. However, the XML document’s size is much larger than common text document because it handles the document type and adds numerous tags for representing structure of the document. To utilize the limited storage devices of Palmtop, PDA and so u, it is necessary to compress and handle the documents efficiently. Recently, the compression techniques for efficiently handling and compressing the XML documents are under way to solve this problem. But most of the existing researches don't support the query processing for the compressed XML documents. In this paper, we design and implement the XML compression algorithm that compresses the XML document and Processes the query of compressed XML document faster and more efficiently than previous techniques.
