표절 방지에 관한 최근 정보 (Recent Information on the Plagiarism Prevention)

  • 연구윤리(혹은 연구진실성)는 과학 사회의 건강성을 유지시키는 역할 때문에 학계, 정부는 물론 과학계에 종사하지 않는 일반인들로부터 주목 받고 있다. 이 논문에서는 대표적인 연구부정인 표절을 다룬 유용한 논문들을 소개하고자 한다. 일반적으로, 연구 결과는 독창성(originality), 정확성(accuracy), 재현성(reproducibility), 정밀성(precision) 그리고 연구윤리(research ethics)가 보장되어야 한다. 표절의 정의는 "적절한 언급이나 인정 없이 다른 사람의 말이나 글, 또는 아이디어를 도용하는 것이다." 표절은 간혹 데이터의 위조와 변조보다는 경미한 연구부정으로 고려되기도 하지만, 본질적으로 그 속성은 지적 산물의 절도에 해당한다. 표절은 논문 출판 단계에만 국한해서 일어나는 것이 아니라, 연구제안과 연구수행 그리고 종설 논문 작성과정으로 확장될 수 있다. 표절의 정의를 확대하면, 중복 출판은 자기표절로 간주할 수 있다. 표절을 방지하기 위해서는 과학 사회 모든 구성원들의 정직한 노력이 요구된다. 먼저, 연구자들은 자신들의 과학적인 작업수행에 있어서 투명성(transparency)과 진실성 내지 고결성(integrity)을 유지해야 한다. 편집위원회 구성원들과 심사자들은 임무 수행과정에서 공평함과 충분한 자격을 유지해야 한다. 정부와 연구 재단들은 과학 사회에 표절 방지를 위한 재정적, 정책적 지원을 아낌없이 해야 한다. 향상된 편집 서비스, 표절 방지 프로그램 활용, 그리고 정직한 과학논문을 쓰는 방법에 대한 철저한 교육은 과학 사회의 건전한 기반을 구축하는데 기여할 것이다.

안보환경에 적합한 해군부사관과의 의사소통 교육방안 연구 - 맥락적 의사소통을 중심으로 (Studies of Communicational Education Suitable for Security Environment)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 문헌 연구를 바탕으로 의사소통에 대한 이론적 접근을 통하여 전문대학 해군부사관과의 맥락적 의사소통 교육에 대하여 고찰하는 것이다. 해군부사관과에 적합한 맥락적 의사소통 교육을 위해서는 지휘관리/훈육 전공교육과 의사소통 교양교육을 통합하는 교과목으로 개설하고 그 통합 교과목을 1학년과 2학년의 연계과목을 지정하여 교육할 필요가 있다. 구체적인 방안으로 학생들의 적극적 참여가 이루어지며 교수자의 검토가 가능한 면접, 보고서, 프레젠테이션의 가상적 상황을 수업에 적용하여 맥락적 의사소통 교육을 시행할 것을 제안하였다. 이러한 교육은 언어능력과 더불어 다방향의 의사소통능력을 향상시킬 것이다. 마지막으로 이 연구의 한계와 향후 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

국외 간호학술지에서의 의료기관 내 실행연구 동향분석 (Action Research in Hospital Settings: A Literature Review of International Nursing Journals)

  • Purpose: Purpose of this study was to identify major trends of action research from 2006 to 2013 and suggest directions for activating and advancing domestic action research in nursing. Methods: A review was made of 118 action research studies in hospital settings reported in international journals. Search from PubMed, Ovid, and CINHAL was done using analysis criteria developed by the researchers. General and methodological characteristics and focus on changing outcomes of action research were analyzed. Results: The major group of researchers belonged to colleges/universities (40.7%). Methods included use of qualitative methods (61.0%), research questions (24.6%), and use of theoretical models (35.6%). Prevalent data collection methods were interviews (20.2%), and 48.3% showed more than a 1-cycle process including spiral circulation structure. Focus of changing outcomes of the 56 papers including more than 1-cycle were practice (66.1%), environment (8.9%), client-nurse (7.1%). Conclusion: Trends in action research in nursing were identified providing necessary reasons to increase action research in nursing as follows: needs of various researchers including stakeholders as well as healthcare providers, various research designs including unconstrained reflection and writing, specific presentation of adapted theoretical models and action strategies, and quality assurance for validity and reliability of research processes and outcomes.

광역적 산업클러스터 구축을 위한 제도적 지원체계 연구 (A Study on the Institutional Supporting System for Forming Industrial Cluster in Large Area)

  • 본 연구는 자치단체의 행정구역을 넘어서서 확장되고 있는 산업클러스터를 지원하기 위한 산업지원체계의 구축에 관한 것이다. 많은 산업클러스터들은 두 개 혹은 그 이상의 자치단체를 넘어서서 확대되는 경향이 있는 바, 이렇듯 산업클러스터가 행정구역의 범위를 넘어서 성장함에 따라, 이를 뒷받침하는 행정지원체계에 있어서 다양한 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 무엇보다도 산업클러스터가 필요로 하는 산업지원서비스나 인프라공급이 원활히 되지 않거나 자치단체간의 이해 상충에 의해 서비스나 인프라 구축의 효율성이 저하될 수 있는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 산업클러스터를 지방정부간 협력에 의해 광역적 차원에서 구축하거나 지원하는 다양한 사례들을 검토하여 이들의 유형을 네 가지로 구분하였다. 그리고 이러한 분석으로부터 정책적 시사점을 추출한 바, 광역적 산업지원체계의 구축은 주로 '지역개발기구 설립에 의한 외자유치', '광역적 산업단지의 협력적 개발', '광역적 클러스터를 지원하는 통계 및 정책 개발, '클러스터내 기업들을 중심으로 대학, 연구기관간의 전자네트워크 구축' 등에 중점을 두는 것이 바람직한 것으로 종합되었다.

PVOH와 polyDADMAC 첨가에 의한 산화전분의 표면사이징 효과 변화 (Effect of PVOH or polyDADMAC Addition on Surface Sizing with Oxidized Starch)

  • High loading of printing and writing grades with fillers has many advantageous aspects in papermaking because it allows decreasing fiber use and reducing manufacturing cost. High loading technology, however, has some disadvantageous aspects as well. It decreases physical properties of papers, especially strength properties. The problem associated with high loading can be reduced by applying surface sizing starch solution onto paper surface. It is important to control the penetration of the surface sizing starch solution into paper web to obtain the desired property improvement. In this study, the effect of the addition of two polymers into starch solution on paper properties has been examined. PVOH and polyDADMAC were used as polymeric additives for surface sizing with oxidized starch. Viscosity of starch solutions and surface roughness of dried starch films on glass slides showed that some interactions between polymeric additives and oxidized starch have been occurred and the most extensive interaction with starch solution was obtained with high molecular weight polyDADMAC. Low molecular weight PVOH was most effective in improving folding endurance and internal bond strength. On the other hand, polymer addition showed no effect on surface strength of paper. This indicates that not the level of starch holdout but the bonding strength of starch itself has predominant influence on surface strength of paper.

THE POSSIBILITIES AND DIFFICULTIES ON R&E ACTIVITY FOR IMPROVING THE PROFESSION SKILLS OF SCIENCE GIFTED TEACHER

  • Although over - 600 students in Incheon has been participated in the gifted education programs under the colleges and Office of Education Department every year, it is reported that the number of teachers have insufficient teaching abilities in primary, advanced, and after-advanced gifted classes. The Gifted Education Research Institute in Incheon University introduced R&E activities for the improvement of teachers' abilities in science research and student guiding. Professors in science department conducted the R & E activities to select the research thesis. The professors and the guidance teachers decided the directions of the research, and the guidance teachers who learned from the professors taught 3-5 students to practice the research. Five professor-teacher-student research teams in math, physics, chemistry and biology conducted the research after school and during the vacation for 7 months. The results of the research were submitted to the journals of research activities and the result papers were presented to the seminar. On this research, the possibilities and the difficulties of the R&E activities based of the journals of research activities, oral presentation and the research results reports were analyzed with a purpose of improving the professionalism of the science gifted teachers. Although the professors proposed many difficulties or problems about the R&E activities, the teachers reported that the R & E activities he1ped them to improve their research activities and student guiding techniques. The teachers acquired more knowledge on the principles of the science related areas than before. Moreover, they thought it was very meaningful experience in using the science related instruments, guiding the students' research and writing the research reports. The students also gave the positive responses with the increased interests in new science studies and with the experience of learning the way of research.

북한의 지명관리 정책과 연구 동향 분석 (Progress of Management Policy and Research of Place Names in North Korea)

  • 1945년 분단 이후 북한은 지명을 사회주의 혁명의 도구로서 이용하였고, 언어 정책의 일환으로 이를 관리하였다. 1952년 행정구역 개편과정에서 시 군 리 지명을 언어 관리 차원에서 바꾸었고, 1966년 지명조사 사업의 완료 이후 주체사상을 반영하면서 지명을 관리하였다. 지명의 전부 요소에 고유어와 인명을 이용한 지명이 적지 않게 등장하였고, 후부 요소도 남한과는 다른 용어를 사용하기 시작하였다. 지명 관리의 일환으로 사전을 적극적으로 편찬하였다. 지명 연구는 사회성과 역사성을 반영한 논문들이 발표되고 있다. 연구 주제는 1990년대 이전에는 사회주의 지명을 찬양하는 글들이 많아 발표되나 2000년대 이후에는 지역 내에서 지명 특성을 소개하는 글들의 비중이 높아졌다. 이 시기에는 지명으로 학위를 취득한 학자들이 증가하면서 이전의 연구 내용과 차이를 보이고 있다.

김수영 시의 '언어-문자' 이미지와 '에크리튀르'의 정치학 (A Study on 'Language-Letter' images and politics of 'écriture' in Kim, Soo-Yung's poems)

  • 이 논문은 김수영 시에 나타난 "말", "언어", "활자", "글자", "책", "서책", "서적" 등과 같은 '언어-문자' 이미지에 주목하여, 그것들의 배경을 이루는 '에크리튀르'의 의미소와 정치학을 규명하고자 했다. 이러한 의제의 초점은 김수영 시를 언어학적이거나 수사학적 차원에서 접근하고 있는 대부분의 논문들이 지니는 한계와 문제점을 해결하려는 과정 속에서 마련되었다. 그것들의 가장 큰 문제점은 지엽적이고 세부적인 언어 용법으로 김수영 시의 분석과 해석을 제한하고 있는 데서 발생한다. 곧 그의 시에서 매우 빈번하게 나타나는 '언어-문자' 이미지에 대한 총체적인 해석의 틀을 제시하지 못할 뿐만 아니라, 그것에 대한 철학적이고 이론적인 해명이나 사회 정치적 담론 분석의 차원에서도 난점을 드러내고 있다는 것이다. 이 논문은 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 김수영 시에 드러난 "말"과 "언어" 이미지에 대해서는 하이데거의 '존재론적 사유'에 입각하여 해명하려 했으며, "활자", "글자", "붓"에 대해서는 데리다가 제시했던 '원초적 글쓰기' 개념을 통해 새롭게 해석하고자 했다. 나아가 "책", "서책", "서적" 등과 같은 이미지에 대해서는 바이우의 '진리의 윤리학'과 데리다의 '에크리튀르'라는 문제틀을 함께 도입하여 김수영의 시를 '에크리튀르의 정치학'이라는 말로 새롭게 명명하고자 했다.

Qualitative Research in Healthcare: Necessity and Characteristics

  • Quantitative and qualitative research explore various social phenomena using different methods. However, there has been a tendency to treat quantitative studies using complicated statistical techniques as more scientific and superior, whereas relatively few qualitative studies have been conducted in the medical and healthcare fields. This review aimed to provide a proper understanding of qualitative research. This review examined the characteristics of quantitative and qualitative research to help researchers select the appropriate qualitative research methodology. Qualitative research is applicable in following cases: (1) when an exploratory approach is required on a topic that is not well known, (2) when something cannot be explained fully with quantitative research, (3) when it is necessary to newly present a specific view on a research topic that is difficult to explain with existing views, (4) when it is inappropriate to present the rationale or theoretical proposition for designing hypotheses, as in quantitative research, and (5) when conducting research that requires detailed descriptive writing with literary expressions. Qualitative research is conducted in the following order: (1) selection of a research topic and question, (2) selection of a theoretical framework and methods, (3) literature analysis, (4) selection of the research participants and data collection methods, (5) data analysis and description of findings, and (6) research validation. This review can contribute to the more active use of qualitative research in healthcare, and the findings are expected to instill a proper understanding of qualitative research in researchers who review qualitative research reports and papers.

대학도서관 지정도서 활용이 수업에 미치는 효과에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Effectiveness of Instructors' Utilization of the Reserve Collection in the University Library)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of instructors' utilization of the reserve collection in the university library. To accomplish this, an experiment-and-questionnaire study was done by selecting an experimental group for whom the teaching method utilizing the reserve collection was used and a control group for whom the method was not used. An experimental group and a control group studied were as follows: (1) Students take the 'Comparative Politics' course in the Department of Political Science. (2) Students take the 'History of 'English Literature' course III the Department of English Language and Literature. The data to test the hypothesis were analyzed by SPSS/PC+ routine. The results are as follows: (1) There were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in academic achievement(T(228)=6.69, P<.01). To investigate the difference in effect by major, the one-way analysis of variance was employed. According to the results, there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group In the Department of Political Science and the Department of English Language & Literature. Therefore, students for whom the teaching method utilizing the reserve collection was used have higher academic achievement than those for whom the method was not used. (2) As for the degree of utilizing the library and its materials, there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group(T(228)=8.87, P<.01). As for the results of the one-way analysis of variance to investigate the difference in effect by major, there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in both departments. As for the degree of utilizing library catalogues and bibliographical tools, there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group(T (228)=8.55, P<.01). As stated earlier, the one-way analysis of variance to investigate the difference in effect by major has shown that there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in both departments. As for the degree of sincerity in doing homework and writing papers, there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group(T(176)=8. 03, P<.01). To investigate the difference in effect by major, the one-way analysis of variance was again employed. According to the results, there were again significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in both departments. So, the students for whom the teaching method utilizing the reserve collection was employed used library catalogues and bibliographical tools much more than those for whom the method was not employed, and were more sincere in doing homework and writing papers. (3) There were also significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in degree of satisfaction in taking the course (T (228) = 6.61, P<.01). The results of the one-way analysis of variance to investigate the difference in effect by major was that there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in both departments. Therefore, the degree of satisfaction of students who were taught by the teaching method utilizing the reserve collection is higher than that of those who were not taught by the method. On the other hand, the responses of the experimental groups of two departments as to the degree of satisfaction with their teaching method was investigated. The result shows that students who took the 'Comparative Politics' course in a small class which employed the seminar method were higher in degree of satisfaction with the teaching method than students who took the 'History of English Literature' course III a large class which employed a lecture-oriented teaching method.
