시공간 작업기억 수행능력에 따른 안정상태에서의 뇌파 특성 연구 (Study on the Characteristics of EEG in Resting State on Visuo-Spatial Working Memory Performance)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 표준화된 종합주의력검사(CAT)의 소검사인 시공간 작업기억력 검사를 통해 얻어진 실험대상자의 안정상태 뇌파 활성차이로 시공간 작업기억력 수행능력을 예측할 수 있는 지를 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 실험 대상자는 2014년 12월 1개월 동안 학업 성취도와 무관한 31명의 일반적인 중학생 중 시공간 작업기억력 검사 후 순방향과 역방향 공간폭 결과에서 표준편차를 벗어난 7명과 6명이 선별되었고, 선별된 대상자를 각각 작업기억력 우수 집단(EWM)과 저하 집단(PWM)으로 구성하였다. 뇌파 측정과 뇌파 밴드별 상호 연관성을 통한 뇌기능 지수의 하위요소를 알아보기 위해 뇌기능분석 프로그램을 사용하였고 집단 간 차이 검증을 위한 통계 처리는 Mann-Whitney Test로 하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 순방향 작업 기억력 검사 결과 EWM과 PWM 집단 간 고베타파 활성도에서 좌뇌와 우뇌 모두 유의미한 차이를 보였고 저베타파 활성도에서는 우뇌에서만 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 세타파와 알파파 활성도는 통계적 유의수준에는 도달하지 못했다. 결론적으로 시공간 작업기억 수행능력과 안정 상태시 고베타파와 저베타파 활성도와 상관관계가 있음을 보여주며 특히 시공간 작업기억 수행능력과 우뇌의 정신적 활동 및 사고능력과는 상관관계를 보여 주었다. 시공간 작업기억 수행능력을 안정 상태에서도 베타파의 활성도를 통해 예측할 수 있다는 점이 본 연구가 갖는 의의이다. 향후 뇌파의 활성도가 작업기억력 평가 도구와 근거자료로써 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.

Analyzing the Working Conditions for Female Field Managers Employed by General Contractors

  • In recent years, the number of female workers pursuing careers in the construction engineering and management field has increased, despite the fact that the job positions have been traditionally considered as retaining job functions and/or qualities that are more appropriate to male than female. This may be attributed to the fact that the positions also require delicate and/or detail-oriented job functions, which can be successfully performed by female. It is important for project participants to understand the working conditions for female field managers by analyzing their job performance. This study collects expert opinions regarding female's managerial performance on job site. Survey questionnaires were administered to two focus groups, male and female field managers who work for general contractors. This study contributes to encouraging female's social and economic involvement by investigating the challenges they face in the workplace, and provides measures to respond to such challenges.

중온 태양열 응용을 위해 수평 단차를 갖는 열사이펀의 열적 성능 (Thermal Performance of a Thermosiphon with a Step-Change Elevation for Medium-temperature Solar Thermal Applications)

  • Thermal performance of a thermosiphon for medium-temperature solar thermal application was investigated. The working fluid was Dowtherm A and the container was made of STS 316L. The thermosiphon had a outer diameter of 12.7 mm and a total length of 2 m, where the evaporator and the condenser had the same length of 0.3 m and the adiabatic section was 1.4 m. Both the evaporator and the condenser were aligned horizontal with an elevation difference of 0.18 m to utilize the gravitational force for the working-fluid return. The optimum fill charge ratio of the working fluid was investigated to obtain the maximum heat transport with the lowest thermal resistance. The maximun input thermal load was 500 W and thermal resistance was $0.60^{\circ}C/W$.

고발열 전자부품 냉각용 써모사이폰의 냉각특성에 관한 연구 (Experimental study on the cooling characteristics of thermosyphon for the high power electronic components)

  • The experimental study is concerned with two-phase closed thermosyphons, (i.e., wickless heat pipes) for the cooling of high power electronic components in telecommunication system. The thermosyphon which can deal with a high heat flux of up to $4.9W/cm^2$ is developed, and the cooling characteristics of thermosyphon is analyzed according to design parameters which are the types of and quantity of working fluid, number of pipes, wire insertion in pipe, inclination angle of thermosyphon, and cooling air velocity. Using water as working fluid is superior cooling performance compared to using acetone, and cooling performance is improved as the number of thermosyphon becomes larger, inserting wires in the pipes, and inclination of $30~60^{\circ}$.

  • The purpose of This study is focused on the directions to improve the performance evaluation of cooks working in the primary school by searching for present job satisfaction and job description. Most of the employees' are women-cook and there were no man-cook in school feeding. This fact indicates that the foods which serving by school are not properly developed for the direction of taste and menu variations in the future. Most of married housewives were dissatisfied with long working hours, short break-time, dirty toilet, and other working conditions. And they were also complained of limited job performance in spite of their capacity and knowhow. In order to solve above-mentioned problems, School feeding is, needless to say, very important meal-program for the children and nations, therefore, The authorities concerned give much attention to solve their needs gradually. A real custom that help employees will conducted for the satisfaction of students, If so, really good quality of food service to younger students will be realized.

  • 본 연구에서는 기존 연구에서 사용된 PSD 성능 시험 장치를 살펴보았다. 성능 시험 장치는 공급관 전체 가진 방식과 작동 유체 가진 방식으로 구분할 수 있다. 작동유체 가진 방식은 다시 피스톤 방식과 면적제한 방식으로 분류할 수 있다. 면적 제한 방식이 기초 연구에 알맞으며, 제작된 실험장치의 구성품을 제시하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop heat transfer analysis program of heat pipe elements and design a revolving heat pipe exchanger by the performance experiment of hot air production by means of middle-temperature waste heat. Experimental variables are the revolution per minute, normal velocity of inlet air and the temperature of waste heat. The revolving heat exchanger has designed as $2^{\circ}$ in inclination angle of heat pipe bundle and as 20% in working fluid quantity and as water in working fluid. Experimental value of the total heat transfer coefficient was $20w/m^2-^{\circ}C$

회전.비회전 복합 히트파이프 개발과 성능 시험 (Performance Test and Development of the Composite Heat Pipe with Rotating and Static Heat Pipe)

  • The purpose of this research is to study the charateristics and manufacture of a composite heat pipe system with rotational and static pipe. A composite heat pipe system were tested to obtain the relationship between the expansion injector and auxiliary expansion for the motion of the working fluid by the experimental results. In addition the heat transport characteristics were found based on wall temperature of rotor, expansion injector, storage tank and vapor temperature. Water is used as working fluid of heat pipes. As the results of experiments, the composite heat pipe was operated for long times, 10 hour above with various rotational speed in performance. There were a few unexpected data by the capillary pumped loop at small working fluid, but as a whole the testing was successful.

The Effect of Gender Composition of Research Teams on Individual Researchers' Performance in China

  • This article explores the relationship between the gender composition of scientific research teams and scientists' individual performance. The gender composition of research teams is an important feature of workplace settings and influences the way people interact and communicate; however, previous research has not directly examined its relationship with scientists' individual performance. Drawing on data collected on university faculties in China in 2016, this article tests several hypotheses about individual's performance in teams with different gender compositions. The results show that team gender composition has a clear gendered effect on scientists' individual performance. The effects of tokenism for women in men-majority teams is proven, but men in women-majority teams appear to be unaffected by tokenism. Moreover, the theories claiming that homogenous teams are more conducive to better individual performance than mixed teams are supported for men but not for women. The findings of this research suggest that recruiting more women into the scientific workforce may improve their performance and thereby help diminish the gender gap in performance. It also indicates that the Chinese preferential policies towards women in science formulated in recent years have had positive impacts. However, considering that more than half of the researchers in the survey are working in men-majority teams, the task of narrowing the gender gap in performance remains a challenge. Further work is needed to explore the tensions and benefits of working with the opposite gender.

How Much does Job Autonomy Matter for Job Performance of Chinese Supervising Engineers: A Quantitative Study

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to examine the intermediary role of job satisfaction between job autonomy and job performance and whether the process was adjusted based on the work context. Research design, data, and methodology - This study was conducted by sample survey method on 334 supervising engineers. Data analysis methods were frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis. Result - The results of this study suggest that: (1) after controlling for age, position, and working years, job autonomy had a significant positive impact on job performance, (2) job autonomy can not only directly affect job performance but also indirectly affect performance through job satisfaction, (3) job satisfaction has an intermediary effect on job autonomy and job performance, and (4) the relationship between job autonomy and job satisfaction is moderated by the work context, and the result showed a negative moderating effect. Conclusion - This study suggests that job autonomy significantly improves job performance, and the higher job autonomy a supervising engineer has, the more satisfied they are with their work, thus enriching the precursor research on dynamic changes in job performance. When the working environment is poor, supervisors are more sensitive to the perception of job autonomy and have a stronger impact on job satisfaction and performance.
