약물검사에서 관리시료의 농축을 이용한 보고 가능 범위의 설정에 대한 연구 (A Study of Reportable Range Setting through Concentrated Control Sample)

  • This study was designed to establish working range for reoportable range in own laboratory in order to cover the upper and lower limits of the range in test method. We experimented ten times during 10 days for setting of reportable range with between run for method evaluation. It is generally assumed that the analytical method produces a linear response and that the test results between those upper and lower limits are then reportable. CLIA recommends that laboratories verify the reportable range of all moderate and high complexity tests. The Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments(CLIA) and Laboratory Accreditation Program of the Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine states reportable range is only required for "modified" moderately complex tests. Linearity requirements have been eliminated from the CLIA regulations and from others accreditation agencies, many inspectors continue to feel that linearity studies are a part of good lab practice and should be encouraged. It is important to assess the useful reportable range of a laboratory method, i.e., the lowest and highest test results that are reliable and can be reported. Manufacturers make claims for the reportable range of their methods by stating the upper and lower limits of the range. Instrument manufacturers state an operating range and a reportable range. The commercial linearity material can be used to verify this range, if it adequately covers the stated linear interval. CLIA requirements for quality control, must demonstrate that, prior to reporting patient test results, it can obtain the performance specifications for accuracy, precision, and reportable range of patient test results, comparable to those established by the manufacturer. If applicable, the laboratory must also verify the reportable range of patient test results. The reportable range of patient test results is the range of test result values over which the laboratory can establish or verify the accuracy of the instrument, kit or test system measurement response. We need to define the usable reportable range of the method so that the experiments can be properly planned and valid data can be collected. The reportable range is usually defined as the range where the analytical response of the method is linear with respect to the concentration of the analyte being measured. In conclusion, experimental results on reportable range using concentrated control sample and zero calibrators covering from highest to lowest range were salicylate $8.8{\mu}g/dL$, phenytoin $0.67{\mu}g/dL$, phenobarbital $1.53{\mu}g/dL$, primidone $0.16{\mu}g/dL$, theophylline $0.2{\mu}g/dL$, vancomycine $1.3{\mu}g/dL$, valproic acid $3.2{\mu}g/dL$, digitoxin 0.17ng/dL, carbamazepine $0.36{\mu}g/dL$ and acetaminophen $0.7{\mu}g/dL$ at minimum level and salicylate $969.9{\mu}g/dL$, phenytoin $38.1{\mu}g/dL$, phenobarbital $60.4{\mu}g/dL$, primidone $24.57{\mu}g/dL$, theophylline $39.2{\mu}g/dL$, vancomycine $83.65{\mu}g/dL$, valproic acid $147.96{\mu}g/dL$, digitoxin 5.04ng/dL, carbamazepine $19.76{\mu}g/dL$, acetaminophen $300.92{\mu}g/dL$ at maximum level.

한국적 도서관학교육과정 연구 (Occupational Demands and Educational Needs in Korean Librarianship)

  • This study was undertaken to meet more fully the demands for improved training of library personnel, occasioned by the rapidly changing roles and functions of libraries as they try to adapt to the vast social, economic and technological changes currently in progress in the Korean society. The specific purpose of this research is to develop a standard curriculum at the batchelor's level that will properly equip the professional personnel in Korean libraries for the changes confronting them. This study started with the premise that to establish a sound base for curriculum development, it was necessary first to determine what concepts, knowledge, and techniques are required for professional library personnel to perform it at an optimal level of efficiency. Explicitly, it was felt that for the development of useful curricula and courses at the batchelor's level, a prime source of knowledge should be functional behaviours that are necessary in the job situation. To determine specifically what these terminal performance behaviours should be so that learning experience provided could be rooted in reality, the decision was reached to use a systems approach to curriculum development, which is an attempt to break the mold of traditional concepts and to approach interaction from an open, innovative, and product-oriented perspective. This study was designed to: (1) identify what knowledge and techniques are required for professional library personnel to perform the job activities in which they are actually engaged, (2) to evaluate the educational needs of the knowledge and techniques that the professional librarian respondents indicate, and (3) to categorise the knowledge and techniques into teaching subjects to present the teaching subjects by their educational importance. The main data-gathering instrument for the study, a questionnaire containing 254 items, was sent to a randomly selected sample of library school graduates working in libraries and related institutions in Korea. Eighty-three librarians completed and returned the questionnaire. After analysing the returned questionnaire, the following conclusions have been reached: (A) To develop a rational curriculum rooted in the real situation of the Korean libraries, compulsory subjects should be properly chosen from those which were ranked highest in importance by the respondents. Characters and educational policies of, and other teaching subjects offered by, the individual educational institution to which a given library school belongs should also be taken into account in determining compulsory subjects. (B) It is traditionally assumed that education in librarianship should be more concerned with theoretical foundations on which any solution can be developed than with professional needs with particulars and techniques as they are used in existing library environments. However, the respondents gave the former a surprisingly lower rating. The traditional assumption must be reviewed. (C) It is universally accepted in developing library school curricula that compulsory subjects are concerned with the area of knowledge students generally need to learn and optional subjects are concerned with the area to be needed to only those who need it. Now that there is no such clear demarcation line provided in librarianship, it may be a realistic approach to designate subjects in the area rated high by the respondents as compulsory and to designate those in the area rated low as optional. (D) Optional subjects that were ranked considerably higher in importance by the respondents should be given more credits than others, and those ranked lower might be given less credits or offered infrequently or combined. (E) A standard list of compulsory and optional subjects with weekly teaching hours for a Korean library school is presented in the fourth chapter of this report.

기업 HRD 교육훈련 프로그램의 조직지원 특성에 따른 효과성 (Effect of the Characteristics of Organizational Support on Company HRD Education & Training Program)

  • 본 연구는 기업 HRD 교육훈련 프로그램에 대한 조직지원 특성이 HRD 교육훈련 프로그램의 효과성에 미치는 영향을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 상사지원, 직무지원, 회사지원으로 구성된 조직지원 특성을 독립변인으로 하고, 반응, 학습, 전이, 결과수준을 효과성의 종속변수로 하여 실증분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 자료 수집은 2011년 8월 16일부터 9월 9일까지 국내 상장 및 코스닥 등록 증권사 중 서울에 본사를 두고 상시 재직자 온 오프라인 교육훈련 프로그램을 운영하고 있는 5개 기업의 임직원에게 설문지를 이용하여 배포하였다. 설문지는 3차로 나누어 총 340부가 배포되었으며, 총 164부의 설문지가 최종분석에 활용되었다. 검증 결과, 가설 1. 조직지원 특성이 반응수준에 미치는 영향에서, 상사지원, 직무지원, 회사지원은 반응수준에 대해서 모두 p<0.01 수준에서 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음이 확인되었다. 가설 2. 조직지원 특성이 학습수준에 미치는 영향에서, 상사지원, 직무지원, 회사지원은 학습수준에 대해서 p<0.05, p<0.01 수준에서 유의한 영향을 미치고 있음이 확인되었다. 가설 3. 조직지원 특성이 전이수준에 미치는 영향에서, 상사지원, 직무지원, 회사지원은 전이수준에 대해서 모두 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 가설 4. 조직지원 특성이 결과수준에 미치는 영향에서, 상사지원, 직무지원, 회사지원은 결과수준에 p<0.01 수준에서 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 기업 교육훈련의 효과성은 교육훈련 프로그램의 내용과 질도 중요하지만, 교육훈련 과정에 대한 지지체계와 학습한 것을 실제 업무 현장에 적용할 수 있는 환경이 성과에 더 큰 영향을 미친다는 선행연구 결과를 재확인할 수 있었으며, 실제로 교육훈련 프로그램을 주관하고 실시하는 기업이나 전문가들은 교육훈련 프로그램 설계 특성도 중요하나, 조직지원 특성이 교육훈련 효과에 중요하게 작용함을 인식하여야 할 것이다.

한방간호 관리체계 연구 (Summary and Conclusion Title :Oriental Nursing Management System)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the present conditions of nursing investment contents, its conversion process, and output in Oriental University Medical Center, Korea to get good qualified Oriental nursing result which is the ultimate purpose of the Oriental nursing management, and to develope a matrix of Oriental nursing management system on the basis of that project. The subjects for nursing investment and output contents were eighteen nursing directors in eleven Oriental University Medical Center and two hundred thirty-nine nurses with three years and over experience in Oriental medical center. The subjects for Oriental nursing organization, human affair management, and control function were nineteen Oriental medical center in Oriental University Medical Center, Korea. Data were collected from November, 2002 to February, 2003 with questionnaire. Data analysis was done by SPSS PC+ 12 program. Frequency, percentage, and minimum/maximum values were used for investment contents, and frequency and percentage were used for conversion process and output contents. 1. The input factors of oriental nursing management system The objective's western hospital career was over five years of one hundred and seventy-five(73.2%) persons. Nursing in-service education was performed in fourteen hospitals(77.8%). Two hundreds(83.7%) were pro to oriental nurse system. Only four hospitals(22.2%) had independent budget in nursing division. Nursing staff allocation to the bed was from 2.8:1 to 9.06:1 respectively, with a big gap of the rate following the hospitals. 2. The conversion factors of oriental nursing system 1) Oriental nursing system Oriental hospital nursing system was organized independently in ten hospitals among eighteen hospitals. The recruitment of nurses which was a vital role of the nursing division of the hospital was mostly(79%) opened. The education to develope nursing personnels was through in-service one in 97.4%. Education for oriental nursing and management was performed in 42.1%(eight hospitals) and that for reserves was done in 36.8%(seven hospitals). Administration for nursing education by nursing division was 68.5%(thirteen hospitals). The post education evaluation was performed by report submission in 36.8%(seven hospitals), by written examination in 26.3%, by questionnaires in 21.1%, and by lecture presentation in 15.8% subsequently. The directorial meeting for the nursing directors was attended by 84.2%(sixteen hospitals), and the meeting type was the medical executive and support division executive meeting in 55.6%(ten hospitals) and the personnel management in 39.6%(seven hospitals). 2) The actual conditions of oriental nursing personnel management The reason of working in oriental hospital was by voluntary in 67.1%(a hundred and sixty persons), by nursing department order in 28.0%(sixty-seven persons), and by others in 5.0%(twelve persons) respectively. The shift form was a three-shifts one in 94.7%(eighteen hospitals), a two-shift one in only one hospital. Duty assignment was functional in 52.6%(ten hospitals), team and functional in 26.3%(five hospitals) and no team alone. Promotion manual was present at 68.4%(thirteen hospitals) and the competency essentials comprised of performance evaluation in 79%, interview, written examination, training result, study result subsequently. No labor union existed in 79%(fifteen hospitals) 3) Oriental nursing preceptor system There were five oriental hospitals(27.7%) administering the preceptor utilization model, which showed lower rate than the twenty-two medical university hospitals in Seoul in which fifteen hospitals (72.7%) were having the system. To the question of necessity of oriental nurse system asked to the objectives of two hundred and thirty-nine with more than three year-experience in oriental hospital, two hundred persons(83.7%) answered positively. 4) The control of oriental nursing The evaluation results from the target hospitals were mostly not opened in 89.4% of oriental hospitals. Thirteen hospitals(68.3%) had evaluation system of direct managers and the next were three hospitals(15.8%) of direct managers and selves. There was one hospital(5.3% each) where fellows and superiors, fellows, and inferiors' evaluation was performed and no hospital where superiors, fellows, inferiors and selves, and superiors, fellows and selves' evaluation was performed. The QI activity of nursing was 42.1%(eight hospitals) for nursing service evaluation, 36.8% for survey of ECSI, 26.3% for survey of ICSI, 15.8% for medical visit rate, 10% for hospital standardization inspection in sequence. 3. The output factors of oriental nursing management system The job satisfaction appeared good in general, indicating very good in thirty-seven persons (15.7%), good in one hundred and fourteen persons (48.3%) and fair in eighty-five persons(36.0%).

서울지역 중소병원의 부서간 조직효과성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Interdepartmental Organizational Effectiveness of Medium and Small Sized Hospitals)

  • The purpose of this study is aimed to grasp the factors, which may influence the harmonized organizational efficiency of the objects of hospital structure as well as its structural constituents of each departments of administration, nursing, and para-medical personnels, in order to provide basic data enable to contribute in the development of hospital. The survey data involved in the study was derived from 385 personnels working in 5 medium and small sized hospitals in Seoul area. The main finding of the study can be summarized as follows; 1. The organizational efficiency in accordance with the general characteristics of subjects in order of male, over 30 years of age, university graduates, long-term tenure and high position is higher, whereas, in as much as wage and well trained personnels in administration departments are higher, its organizational efficiency is higher in comparison with those of nursing and para-medical departments. 2. The organizational efficiency in accordance with satisfaction and the motive contributional factors is higher as much as the high satisfactory level in every departments in general. 3. The organizational efficiency in accordance with the factors of job characteristics is higher in as much as difficulty of the jobs is lesser, however there was not statically significance between administration and para-medical departments. In as much as the job circulation is intact, job standard level is higher and the more job responsibility the higher organizational efficiency, while the more workload and the more work feud resulted lower organizational efficiency. It was obvious that the higher professional expertise as well as the training and application level are improving the organizational efficiency. 4. The organizational efficiency in accordance with the factors of structural characteristics was higher in as much as the intercommunication was smooth and the structural formalization level are higher, however there was not statically significance between the participation level of decision making and the organizational efficiency. 5. In as much as higher educational level of over university graduates, management of organization and the job level are satisfied, the psychological motive contributional level is higher, while the lesser job difficulty, the smooth job performance, the higher level of professional expertise, the higher structural formalization level, the smooth intercommunication, have affected as major influence factors of the structural characteristics of organizational efficiency. 6. As the management of hospital organization, the job level and personal relation are satisfied or psychological motive is provided, especially when there are no difficult jobs or smooth job circulation and no job feud are prevailing, it was apparent that the organizational efficiency is improving accordingly. The nursing departments has high educational standard and is satisfied in the management and job level of hospital organization as there are no difficult jobs while the level of hospital's organizational formality is high and the intercommunication is smooth, which are improving the organizational efficiency. The para-medical departments is also satisfied the management and job level of hospital organization and it was apparent that the organizational efficiency is higher in as much as the level of job standardization is high and the intercommunication is smooth. As a result of this study, in order for improving the organizational efficiency of the medium and small sized hospitals, the management and job level as well as personal relation are preferably satisfied, whereas the level of job circulation, job responsibility, the expertise and formalization of organization, intercommunication and etc. should be satisfied, and, therefore, it is advisable to buildup discriminated organizational management and environment for different division on the basis above factors. Since this study is carried on several hospitals in Seoul area, there is a certain limit to generalize its result to all domestic hospitals, nevertheless the gallop poll was made by developing the questionnaires with reasonability and reliability. Especially, as the study was carried by analyzing the comparison of influence factors' difference of organizational efficiency in accordance with the divisional characteristics of the medium and small sized hospitals.

중장년층 일자리 요구사항 분석 및 인력 고용 매칭 시스템 개발 (Job Preference Analysis and Job Matching System Development for the Middle Aged Class)

  • 저출산 및 인구 고령화가 가속화되면서, 중장년 퇴직자 등 노동 소외 계층의 취업난 해결은 우리 사회의 핵심 과제로 등장하고 있다. 온라인에는 수많은 일자리 요구 정보가 산재해 있으나, 이를 중장년 구직자에게 제대로 매칭시키지는 못하고 있다. 워크넷 취업 로그에 따르면 구직자가 선호하는 직종에 취업하는 경우는 약 24%에 불과하다. 그러므로, 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위해서는 구직자에게 일자리 정보를 매칭시킬 때 선호하는 직종과 유사한 직종들을 추천하는 소프트 매칭 기법이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 중장년층에 특화된 소프트 직업 매칭 알고리즘과 서비스를 고안하고 개발하여 제공하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 1) 대용량의 구직 활동 기록인 워크넷 로그로부터 중장년층의 일자리 특성 및 요구 추세를 분석하였다. 2) 중장년층의 일자리 추천을 위해 직종 유사도 기준으로 일자리 분류표(KOCM)를 재정렬하였다. 이 결과를 이용하여, 3) 중장년에 특화된 인력 고용 소프트 매칭 직업 추천 알고리즘(MOMA)을 개발하여 구인 구직 웹사이트에 적용하였다. 자체 저작한 중장년층 특화 일자리 분류표(KOCM)를 이용한 소프트 일자리 매칭 시스템의 정확도를 측정하였을 때, 실제 고용 결과 기준, 하드 매칭 대비 약 20여 배의 성능 향상을 보였다. 본 연구내용을 적용하여 개발한 중장년층 특화 구직 사이트는 중장년층의 구직 과정에서 입력 정보 부담을 최소화하고 소프트 매칭을 통해 사용자의 요구직종에 적합한 일자리를 정확하고 폭넓게 추천함으로 중장년층의 삶의 질 향상에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

개인의 기업가정신과 조직몰입의 관계에서 대내·외 네트워크와 창의적 효능감의 매개효과에 관한 연구 (A study on mediating effect of internal and external networks and creative efficacy in the relationship of individual entrepreneurship and organizational commitment)

  • 본 연구는 기존에 연구된 선행연구를 토대로 기업에 종사하는 개인들이 지닌 기업가정신과 대내 외 네트워크 그리고 창의적 효능감이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보았다. 또한 개인의 기업가정신과 조직몰입 간의 관계에서 개인이 사회적 환경에서 구축하는 대내 외 네트워크와 과거의 경험에서 얻을 수 있는 창의적 효능감을 통한 매개효과가 존재할 것이라는 가설을 세우고, 실증연구를 통해 밝히고자 하였다. 분석 자료는 현재 기업에 종사하고 있는 244명으로부터 설문으로 수집되었다. 244명의 각각의 기업에 종사하고 있는 종업원들을 중심으로 이루어진 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같이 요약된다. 첫째, 개인의 기업가정신과 조직몰입 간에는 정(+)의 영향을 미침으로써 조직에 대한 몰입과 이를 통한 성과를 위해서 기업의 대표자 뿐 아니라 직원들 개개인 역시 기업가정신의 함양이 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 기업의 대내 외 네트워크가 개인의 기업가정신과 조직몰입의 관계를 매개함으로써 각 개인이 가진 대 내외 네트워크가 조직 내 개인의 성과에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다. 셋째, 개인의 기업가정신과 조직몰입 간의 관계에서 창의적 효능감이 매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타나 개인의 창의성에 대한 자신감 또한 개인의 성과에 중요한 요소로 작용되고 있음을 확인하였다. 특히, 선행연구에서 연구되어 왔던 창의성과 자기효능감의 혼합된 개념인 창의적 효능감이 개인의 기업가 정신과 성과 간의 관계를 매개한다는 사실에서 기업은 소속된 개인들에게 성과로 연결될 수 있는 네트워크뿐 아니라 창의성 향상을 위한 교육이나 프로그램 등을 확충할 필요가 있음을 확인하였다. 결론부분에서는 이에 대한 추가적인 시사점을 제공하였으며, 연구의 한계점과 연구방향에 대해 논의하였다.

용융탄산염 연료전지용 in-situ 소결된 Ni-Al 합금 연료극 개발 (Development of in-situ Sintered Ni-Al Alloy Anode for Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell)

  • 기존의 용융탄산염 연료전지용 연료극인 Ni-Cr전극은 제조과정이 복잡하며, 운전조건에서 전극의 소결과 creep현상으로 인하여 전극의 기공률과 두께가 감소하는 문제점이 있어 상용화에 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Ni-Cr계 전극보다 creep저항성이 우수하다고 알려져 있는 Ni-Al계 합금을 사용하였다. 또한 공정의 단순화로 비용을 절감시키기 위해, 소성과정을 제외하고 tape casting과 건조과정을 거친 green sheet를 단위전지에 장착하여 전처리 과정 중에 소결시키는 in-situ 소결법에 대해 연구하였다. 그러나 기존의 전처리 방법을 이용한 단위전지 평가에서 Ni-Al 합금의 상분리 현상으로 인해 기대하였던 creep저항성 향상을 확인하지 못했고, 운전중 Ni-Al합금 연료극에 단위전지의 구성요소인 matrix 기공크기보다 작은 기공(${\leq}0.4{\mu}m$)이 다량 생성되어 전해질 재분배를 일으켜 성능이 하락하는 문제점이 나타났다. 따라서 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 전처리 조건을 변화시키며 실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 비활성 기체인 질소를 일정한 구간에 사용함으로써 기존 전처리에서 발생하였던 Ni-Al 합금의 상분리 현상을 억제할 수 있었으며 이로 인해 creep저항성 또한 향상시킬 수 있었다. 그러나 운전 중 생성되는 matrix기공크기보다 작은 기공(${\leq}0.4{\mu}m$) 형성비율은 억제할 수 없었다. 위의 전처리 조건을 가지고 단위전지 운전실험을 하였고, 전해질 함침비율을 조절함에 따라 성능을 향상시킬 수 있었으며 2000시간 동안 일정하게 유지함을 확인하였다. 이로부터 기존의 소성전극과 비교하여 많은 장점을 가지고 있는 in-situ 소결법의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 이 연구는 '13년 국가직무능력표준 개발 매뉴얼과 국가직무능력표준 개정 분류체 계표에 근거하여 카지노운영관리 직무에 대한 국가직무능력표준(NCS)을 개발한 것이다. 연구 방법은 단계별 연구 범위와 직무분석기법인 데이컴(DACUM) 절차에 의하여 국가직무능력표준 개발전문가인 산업현장전문가, 교육훈련전문가, 자격(직무분 석)전문가, 퍼실리테이터 및 실무 검증위원인 워킹그룹과 함께 총 10차례 검토 협의 수정 보완 보고 절차 단계를 거쳐 카지노운영관리 직무의 국가직무능력표준을 개발 하였다. 이 연구의 주요 개발 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국가직무능력표준 개정 분류체계 표에 근거하여 카지노운영 직무 선정과 직무를 정의하였고 직무를 토대로 총 8개의 능력단위를 도출 개발하였다. 둘째, 개발한 능력단위를 근거로 총 27개의 능력단위별 능력단위요소를 도출 개발하였다. 셋째, 국가직무능력표준 수준 및 개정 분류체계표에 근거하여 능력단위요소별 수준 체계를 개발하였고 이들 능력단위요소별 수준 평정값을 이용하여 상위 영역인 능력단위별 수준 체계를 합의 도출하였다. 이에 카지노운영관리 직무에 관한 능력단위 및 능력단위요소에 따른 국가직무능력표준 (NCS)의 개발 지침에 근거하여 카지노운영관리 직무에 관한 국가직무능력표준(NCS)의 분류번호를 제시하였다. 넷째, 능력단위 범위를 기준으로 총 27개의 해당 능력단위요소별 수행준거와 지식 기술 태도를 도출 개발하였다. 다섯째, 카지노운영관리 직무에 기초한 총 8개의 해당 능력단위에 근거하여 적용 범위 및 작업 상황, 평가 지 침, 직업기초능력 등을 협의 도출 개발하였다.

모니터링 기능에 대한 인식이 효과적인 BPMS 도입에 미치는 영향 (An Empirical Study on the Impact of the Perception of the Monitoring Function on Effective BPMS Adoption)

  • Recently, there is a substantial interest in implementing Business Process Management System(BPMS) among enterprises with the purpose of business process innovation. BPMS redesigns and coordinates business processes in terms of both automated steps and human involvement in order to maximize the value of both involved people and systems. The reason why BPMS is getting attention from top managers is that it has the possibility to optimize the business processes by cycling the process of modeling, execution, monitoring, evaluation, and redesigning work processes. Thus, it has created high expectations about not only productivity improvement but also business process innovation. However. having an innovative nature, which is used for process innovation, BPMS implementation has great potential to stir up employee resistance. The analysis and the discussion about the prevention of the resistance against IS(Information Systems) is important because IS change the way people work and also alter the power structure within the organization, in general. The purpose of this study is to investigate factors that have an impact on the effective adoption of BPMS at the enterprise level. To find out these factors, this study considers two characteristics of BPMS: First. BPMS shares some characteristics with other enterprise-wide IS such as ERP. Second, it has special BPMS-specific characteristics. Due to the lack of previous research on BPMS adoption, interviews were carried out with IT-consultants and CIOs who conducted BPMS projects previously to find out BPMS-specific features that would make BPMS unique when compared to other enterprise-wide IS. As a result, the monitoring function was chosen as the main BPMS-specific factor. Thus, this paper reviewed studies both on enterprise-wide IS adoptions, which applied Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and secondly on computer based monitoring to find out factors that would influence the employees' perception on the monitoring function of BPMS. Based on the literature review, the study suggested three factors that would have an impact on the employee's perception of the monitoring function: fairness of enterprise evaluation system, fairness of the boss, and self-efficacy of their work. Three factors that would impact the enterprise-wide IS adoption were also set: the shared belief in the benefit of BPMS, training, and communication. Then, these factors were integrated with TAM. Structural equation modeling was used to test hypotheses, out factors that would impact the employees' perception on the monitoring function of BPMS. Based on the literature review the study suggested three factors that would have an impact on the employee's perception of the monitoring function: fairness of enterprise evaluation system, fairness of the boss, and self-efficacy of their work. Three factors that would impact the enterprise-wide IS adoption were also set: the shared belief in the benefit of BPMS, training, and communication. Then, these factors were integrated with TAM. Structural equation modeling was used to test hypotheses. The data analysis results showed that two among three monitoring function related factors - enterprise evaluation system and fairness of the boss - were significant. This implies that employees would worry less about the BPMS implementation as long as they perceive the monitoring results will be used fairly for their performance evaluation. However, employees' high self-efficacy on their job was not a significant factor in their perception of the usefulness of BPMS. This is related to cases that showed employees resisted against the information systems because they automated their works (Markus, 1983). One specific case was an electronic company, where the accounting department workers were requested to redefine their job because their working processes were automated due to BPMS implementation.
