The change in environment of construction industry and the advancement of information technology require the improvement of construction project efficiency. However, construction industry still lacks performance-measuring tools that are the requirements of efficient project management system. In case of the schedule management system, schedule is usually being managed by result-oriented measurements such as completion time, spent cost, and progress rate, which are not good enough to control the overall continuity of work-flow. This research aimed to systemize the overall construction process and to develop the indicators for measuring performance of TACT activities during finishing work period that can contribute to the systemization of TACT management.

The demand on free-form buildings is gradually increasing, but there are several problems such as increased cost and construction duration, and decreased constructability at the construction phase upon construction of a building owing to the difficulty of member production-installation. To solve these problems, a technology to produce FCP using a CNC machine was developed. Basically, it delivers the information on a free-form building designed to the CNC machine, the shapes of RTM and PCM are created using the information delivered and FCP are produced with the RTM and PCM which act as forms. Since the construction duration and project cost are limited on site, the efficiency of FCP production-installation is significant for application of the technology. For it is almost impossible to change the production-installation layout and process once they are set in the construction phase, they should be carefully determined. Before the production-installation layout are established, it is necessary to analyze the factors that influence the duration. Thus, the study intends to analyze influence factors in PCM mold on estimation of the production-installation duration for FCP. According to the analysis of influence factors, a simulation model for estimation of the duration that changes depending on the constraint conditions can be built.

This paper was discussed about in-site application of heavyweight(or high density) concrete. Heavyweight concrete was placed with the method of conventional. Placement of conventionally mixed heavyweight concrete is subject to the same considerations of quality control as normal density concrete, except that it is far more susceptible to variations in quality due to improper handling. It is particularly subject to segregation during placement. Segregation of heavyweight concrete results not only in variation of strength but, far more importantly, in variation in density that are intolerable for work this type, since this adversely affects shielding properties. Heavyweight concrete materials and heavyweight concrete should be sampled and tested prior to and during construction to insure conformance with applicable standards and specifications.
This study describes data from determination of the optimum mix proportion and site application of the mass concrete placed in bottom slab and side wall having a large depth and section as main structures of LNG in-ground tank. This concrete requires low heat hydration, excellent balance between workability and consistency because concreting work of LNG in-ground tank is usually classified by under-pumping, adaptation of longer vertical and horizontal pumping line than ordinary pumping condition. For this purpose, low heat Portland cement and lime stone powder as cementitious materials are selected and design factors including unit cement and water content, water-binder ratio, fine aggregate ratio and adiabatic temperature rising are tested in the laboratory and batch plant. As experimental results, the optimum unit cement and water content are selected under $270kg/m^3$ and $l55{\~}l60 kg/m^3$ separately to control adiabatic temperature rising below $30^{\circ}C$ and to improve properties of the fresh and hardened concrete. Also, considering test results of the confined water ratio($\beta$p) and deformable coefficient(Ep), $30\%$ of lime stone powder by cement weight is selected as the optimum replacement ratio. After mix proportions of 5cases are tested and compared the adiabatic temperature rising($Q^{\infty}$, r), tensile and compressive strength, modulus of elasticity, teases satisfied with the required performances are chosen as the optimum mix design proportions of the side wall and bottom slab concrete. $Q^{\infty}$ and r are proved smaller than those of another project. Before application in the site, properties of the fresh concrete and actual mixing time by its ampere load are checked in the batch plant. Based on the results of this study, the optimum mix proportions of the massive concrete are applied successfully to the bottom slab and side wall in LNG in-ground tank.

Recently, various efforts have been tried in the construction industry to improve productivity by applying the fourth industrial revolution technology. Among the various technologies, researches for the automation and digitization of earthworks are being carried out steadily. As the interest in the benefits of digitalization of the earthwork field has increased, there have been more cases of technology development and application for digitalization of the earthwork field. However, there is not enough case study to present the analysis results of application cases. The purpose of this study is to verify the feasibility of applying the digitization technology of the earthwork in actual worksite. In order to digitize the worksite terrain, it is required the process of field measurement, measurement data registration, earthwork information input, and analysis cell generation. Particularly, it is possible to achieve information-enabled digitization rather than digitalizing only the shape through the input of the earthwork information and the analysis cell generation. By using the digital information of the earthwork field, it is possible to visually recognize the change of the earthwork field, so that it is expected to enhance the worker 's understanding and to be highly applicable to the management work. It is expected that the digital technology of earthwork site will be able to know the precise amount of volume change of the earthwork numerically, and it will be highly applicable to construction management.
As a central part in smart construction, BIM has been rapidly spread in construction industry at large. However, the level of applying BIM in construction stage is still relatively lower than that in design stage due to unclear application method, inadequate design BIM model, technical faults of BIM itself, etc. Under these circumstances, public owners inevitably need to adjust the scope and pace in BIM application considering their internal support and capabilities of contractors. This study aims to suggest major BIM-applicable tasks during construction stage in the process of establishing gradual long-term and short-term introduction strategy for public apartment housing projects. Those major tasks were identified with the combination of the importance of tasks and the future benefits of BIM using IPA method. To do so, the degrees of contribution to achieving objectives in construction, current task execution, and communication requirement were investigated by internal site managers. On the other hand, the expected benefits and current level of using BIM were assessed by BIM experts. Among operational tasks by phases, design review, construction plan review, making as-built drawing, etc. were categorized as major tasks. In addition, progress control, regular meeting, master schedule development, work inspection, on-site quality check, etc. were also drawn as major tasks by management areas. The results of this study will provide the useful reference for owners concerned about the introduction of new technologies.

The form-work operation of concrete structures is a major element determining the period and cost of construction projects. However, the selection of the appropriate form-work system is dependent on the experience of the site personnel only. In this paper, existing methods (Aluminum form, Sky deck) and new slab form-work methods (AFB: Aluminum panel Form with dropping Beam) were selected. Each method was estimated by means of Delphi techniques based on the qualitative analysis data. This paper suggests an evaluation methodology of slab form-work application in construction sites by calculating qualitative evaluation scores. The methodology finding quantified scores of qualitative criteria can be available to be applied to other construction operation evaluation methods.

Objective: This study was performed to investigate the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in auto workers of a mission assembly plants. Background: Most studies of musculoskeletal disorders have used car assembly line workers as their participants. However, little research has been done on musculoskeletal disorders afflictions of mission assembly line workers. Method: Through a focus group interview with an ergonomist and a manager at a mission assembly plant site, a questionnaire was developed for musculoskeletal disorders. The questionnaire consisted of five parts, demographic factors, musculoskeletal disorder symptoms, and musculoskeletal disorder experiences; 137 workers participated in this survey. The surveys were analyzed by correlation and Chi-squared analysis. Results: Musculoskeletal disorder symptoms and serious pain were reported in the neck, shoulder, back, and fingers. These problems were statistically related to various demographic factors, such as age, stature, stretching, and work satisfaction. Conclusion: Treatment of musculoskeletal disorders should consider the workers' traits. If there is no specific cause of the pain, developing stretches and exercises before and after work should be applied to prevent musculoskeletal disorders. Application: The results of this study can be used to develop guidelines to prevent injury in auto workers at mission assembly plants.

Construction work is affected by the weather; e.g. snowfall, rainfall and low-high ambient temperature, especially at a site in a severe climate. The influence of the weather is one of the possible reasons for delays in a construction schedule and quality deterioration. To protect the worksite from severe weather conditions, the temporary roof and wall could be installed on the outside of main structures designed in advance and the temporary structures could be took down after a period use. The greater coverage all-weather construction method is applied, the larger the effect. so, it is important and needs that the temporary roof and wall can be widely applied, designed to effectively about structure and layout.
