  • This work presents OLP system made independently in HSD for sub-assembly welding robot system set already and assembly welding robot system developed lately on the low speed diesel engines.   • This study was carried out to investigate the loss amount of collection at the different of precipitatation time, high voltage and gas speed. This work has focused on the dependence of the collection efficiency in the collector zone with gas speed and high voltage. This advanced Model is developed by research of the different parameter as the conventionnal modem of study. In order to investigate collection efficiency of electrostatic precipitator, the loss amount of knocking was measured with Monitek-Treubung and the particle size was analyzed by He-Ne laser diffraction spectroscopy.

Hull Form Design for Baltic Ice Class Aframax Tanker

  • A hull form of Baltic ice class IA Aframax tanker has been developed taking into consideration of powering performance in brash ice channels based on IA class rules. Speed performance of the ship hull form in normal seagoing has been validated through model tests in a towing tank. The hull form design developed in this work has demonstrated good speed performance in normal seagoing although the ship design is entitled to ice class IA.

  • As a part of work to simulate electromagnetic environments for Hardware-In-the-Loop(HIL) simulation, the dynamic trajectory is modeled by the Way-points method and the Event-driven method for the aerial and the naval targets. The simulated results show that the Way-points method and the Event-driven method are appropriate to simulate a low speed and a high speed target respectively.

고속도로 단기공사구간 기본용량 결정에 관한 연구 (Determination of Base Capacity Values for Short-Term Freeway Work Zone)

  • 고속도로 시설의 유지보수 관련 도로점용공사는 차로폐쇄로 인해 병목구간이 생기고 급격한 교통류 변화가 발생하게 된다. 이 때, 급격한 교통류 변화는 병목구간에서 합류로 인한 차량간 마찰을 키우고 이로 인해 정상적인 교통상황에서보다 용량이 더 낮게 나타나게 된다. 이러한 공사구간의 용량감소는 지정체를 발생시키고 상류부로 대기행렬을 형성시킴으로써 교통사고 발생 가능성도 높아지는 등 경제적인 손실비용 또한 증가시키게 된다. 따라서, 본 연구는 고속도로를 대상으로 단기 도로점용공사 작업 계획시 공사구간의 원활한 교통처리에 활용될 수 있는 공사구간 기본 용량 결정을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 고속도로 검지기 자료와 공사현황 자료를 수집하여 두 자료의 매칭과정을 수행한 후 공사구간 검지기 자료를 1차적으로 선정하였다. 또한, 차로점용공사로 인해 교통류가 급격하게 변화되는 분석대상지점을 선정하여 용량분석을 수행하였다. 선정된 분석지점을 대상으로 공사유형, 차로감소유형, 설계속도별 등 다양한 유형별로 용량을 분석하였으며, 최종적으로 공사구간 기본용량을 설계속도 100, 120kph별로 각각 1,700, 1,750pcphpl로 제시하였다.

다기준 의사결정기반 고속도로 공사구간 VSL전략에 관한 연구 (A Study on Variable Speed Limit Strategies in Freeway Work Zone Using Multi-Criteria Decision Making Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속도로 공사구간에 이동이 가능한 PVMS(Portable Variable Message Sign)를 일정 간격으로 설치하여 VSL을 구현하는 교통류 제어전략을 구성하여 공사구간에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하고자 하였다. 다기준 의사결정 기법 중 하나인 AHP기법 및 다기준 가치함수를 이용하여 교통소통, 교통안전, 환경을 대표하는 척도들을 동시에 고려할 수 있는 평가 방법론을 정립하였으며, VSL전략의 도입 전 후 개선효과를 도출하고 실시간으로 수집되는 교통량 및 중차량 혼입율을 고려한 최적 VSL전략 대안선정을 연구의 목표로 하였다. 개발된 평가 방법론을 통해 시뮬레이션 결과를 분석하였으며, 결과의 통계적 유의성 검정을 위해 분산분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과, VSL 대안 2(PVMS 400m간격)가 6개의 Case에서, VSL 대안 1(PVMS 200m간격)이 5개의 Case에서, VSL 대안 4(PVMS 800m간격)는 1개의 Case에서 최적 대안으로 도출되었다. VSL 대안 3(PVMS 600m간격)는 모든 Case에서 최적 대안으로 선택되지 않았으며 4개 Case에서 가장 안 좋은 대안으로 나타났다. 이는 VSL전략이 항상 개선된 효과를 보이지 않는 것을 의미하며 교통상황별로 적정 대안의 도입이 필요하다는 것을 나타낸다. 본 연구에서 시도된 AHP기법을 이용하여 여러 효과척도를 복합적으로 고려한 교통류관리전략 평가방법은 향후 다목적 의사결정방법의 교통류관리전략에 적용 시 하나의 예시가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대되며, 연구에서 제안하는 PVMS를 이용한 공사구간 VSL전략은 교통정보센터에서 실시간으로 수집되는 데이터를 통해 교통류 관리를 위한 운영 및 제어방안에 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

음향 텔레메트리에 의한 변산반도에서의 참돔(Pagrus major)의 이동 범위 및 행동 특성 (Movement range and behavior characteristics of Pagrus major by acoustic telemetry in Byeonsan Peninsular, Korea)

  • In order to collect basic information of response behavior of red seabream (Pagrus major) during pilling, works for constructing wind power station in Byeonsan Peninsular, Korea were investigated. Four cultured red seabream CRB1 to CRB4 [total length (TL): 27.1 ± 1.0 cm; body weight: 359 ± 30 g] were tagged with an acoustic tag and used in experiment. CRB1 and CRB2 to CBR4 were released on the sea surface at same time around the constructing site of the wind power plant on September 22, 2017 and July 18, 2018, respectively. The tracking of the CRB1 to CRB2 and CRB3 to CRB4 were conducted for two hours, approximately, using VR100 receiver including a directional hydrophone and VR2W receivers array consisted of 19 presence/absence receivers (VR2W receivers), respectively. The underwater noise level before (no pile driving works) and during pile driving works was measured 116.0-118.0 dB (re 1��Pa) and a maximum of 160 dB (re 1��Pa), respectively. CRB1 moved about 6.0 km with average swimming speed of 80.2 ± 20.5 cm/s for 2.1 hours without pile driving work. The average water depth of the sea bed on the route of CRB1 was 9.1 ± 0.4 m. CRB2 moved about 7.3 km with the average swimming speed of 96.8 ± 27.1 cm/s for 2.1 hours with pile driving work. The water depth of the sea bed on the route of CRB2 was 11.9 ± 0.6 m. At results of the Rayleigh's z-test two fishes CRB1 and CRB2 showed significant directionality in the movement (p < 0.01). Movement mean angles of CRB1 and CRB2 were 92.7 and 251.8°, respectively. CRB2, CRB3 and CRB4 exhibited the escaping behavioral response from the noise of source during the pile driving work. The swimming speed of the CRB2 exposed on the heavy underwater noise stimuli due to the pile driving work was 1.21 times faster than that of the CRB1 exposed on the ambient underwater noise in the study site.

VDT 작업자를 위한 운동의 효과에 관한 연구 (Effectiveness of Physical Exercises for VDT Operators)

  • Effectiveness of physical exercise in reducing work-related musculoskeletal stress was investigated. This was compared to the stress alleviation accomplished by using ergonomically designed work station. Tasks chosen for the study were data entry and file maintenance on the video display terminal (VDT). Three different measures, namely root-mean-square (RMS) values of electromyogram (EMG), subjective rating and task performance were used for the evaluation. Electromyograms were recorded from the neck, the left and right trapezius muscles in the shoulder region, and L2/L3 region of the back. Subjects rated discomfort levels for the same parts of their body. Task performance was measured by recording typing speed and errors. Each of the five subjects was tested for two days (8 hours/day) in two different work stations. These were the ergonomically designed adjustable work station and the fixed work station of traditional design with no adjustable features. Assigned physical exercises were performed for four minutes, every two hours during the breaks, by the subjects while working in the fixed work station. It was concluded that the physical exercise could be helpful in reducing musculoskeletal stress as effectively as the ergonomic design of the VDT work station.

Framework to Compute Vehicle Emission Costs Associated with Work Zones

  • Active construction work zones will result in longer travel time and/or longer travel distances for road users because of reduced speed limits and/or detours. This results in increased fuel consumption and increased emissions of harmful gases such as Carbon Monoxide (CO), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), and Sulfur Oxides (SOx), which causes discomfort to the environment and road users around the work zone. The impact of such emissions should be considered while designing work zones or determining the number of days the roadway will be allowed to be closed partially or fully. This study develops a methodology to compute additional road user costs associated with such work zones. To achieve this goal, a) an extensive literature review is conducted, b) a framework to compute emission cost is developed, c) emission rates are computed for all counties (95) of the state of Tennessee, and d) a case study is conducted to demonstrate the use of the framework to estimate the additional impact of emission because of the work zone. For the case study conducted, the emission cost was computed to be $10,653.60 for the duration of the project. State DOTs can account for such road user costs while selecting contractors using A+B bidding. Accounting for such impact of emission will also indicate the agency's willingness to consider sustainability as a part of the business practices.

  • When primer is applied manually, adhesion performance decreases due to a decrease in primer penetration performance on the surface, and construction period delay may occur due to a long time due to a decrease in work efficiency when a large area is worked using a conventional roller. In addition, in the case of the roller method, precision work in corners and narrow spaces is not possible, so it is urgent to come up with measures to ensure uniform quality. In addition, secondary work occurs to remove fine powder from the surface before primer application, resulting in construction period delay due to the rise of the working stage. Therefore, in this study, equipment was used instead of manual work for primer work, and as a result, penetration performance and adhesion performance were improved about twice. From these results, it was confirmed that favorable results such as improving work speed, securing high quality, improving the working environment, and resolving the shortage of functional workers can be obtained.
