Objectives: This study aimed to compare the level of depression and the factors affecting depression among marriage immigrant women and Korean married women living in A town. Methods: The study subjects were women living in A town. Marriage immigrant women were purposively sampled subjects who visited the Multicultural Family Support Center and conducted 1:1 face-to-face interviews. Korean married women were randomly sampled and conducted an online survey due to COVID 19. The final analysis subjects were 115 marriage immigrant women and 186 Korean married women. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, mean comparison(t-test, ANOVA), correlation anaylsis(Pearson's correlation coefficient) and multiple regression using SPSS 27.0. As a result of comparing the depression levels measured using the CES-D, there was no significant difference in the depression levels between the two groups of marriage immigrant women and Korean married women Results: The significant influencing factors on depression of marriage immigrant women were age(p<.01), religious status(p<.01), period of residence in Korea(p<.1), husband's job (p<.05), subjective health status(p<.1), experience of domestic violence(p<.01), and family relationships(p<.05) and the significant influencing factors on depression of Korean married women were subjective health status(p<.01), age difference with husband(p<.05), experience of domestic violence(p<.05), and family relationship (p<.001). Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, a program for mental health promotion was proposed for marriage immigrant women and Korean married women in community.
The purpose of this study is to grasp the re-lationship between Sasang constitution of the disposition side and clothing value in grown-up women in order to apply Sasang consti-tution theory to the marketing strategy in clothing industry. The study is based on a questionnaie about Sasang constitution and clothing value. The questionnarie was answered by 519 women. The data ere collected from September 12 to September 30, 1994 and analyzed by cluster analysis correlation analysis ANOVA and fac-tor analysis using SAS. The Findings of this study are as follows: 1. The women were classfied in to 3 clusters by cluster analysis :Sp-Yaung-In type (30.8%) Tae-Em-In type (40.7%) So-em-in(28.5%). 2. Correlations between SO-Yaug In type and each of clothing values showed all signifi-cant and specially social value showed high corelation(0.57163) 3. In Tae-Em-In type all correlations showed significant and esocial value showed the highest correlation of all correlations. 4. In So-Em-In type there was no corre-lation inpolitical value and the order of cloth-ing values showing high correlation was theor-etical social economic and religious value. 5. The aesthetic valu among and consti-tution types showed the lowest correlation of all correlation. By means of the about study results we may know that all women belong to three types think social value of the more important value than any other in clothing value. This is because grown-up women in korea prefer yet clothing of the harmonic and similar type to this of individual type.
This study has verified Family Functioning, Communication and Spiritual Wellbeing, to increase the family functioning in Adult Women. 236 adult women were chosen as the samples for the study, they are now currently registered in the church adult women in Seoul. The instruments used for this study were the Family functioning scale by Olson, the communication scale by David H. Olson and Howard L. Barnes and spiritual wellbing Scale by Palautzian and Ellison Folkman. Data collection were form March to April, 2003. To get the descriptive statistics, SPSS Program, Pearson Correlation Coefficients and stepwise multiple regression were used for analyzing data. The results were as following: 1. Represents the degree of family functioning, communication and spiritual wellbeing, on subjects. Means scores of this study are following: spiritual wellbeing 67.92, lower level of cohesive(5.19) and adaptive(3.93), communication 58.14, lower level of open(5.15) and closed(4.71) and family functioning 95.58, lower level of religious(7.70) and existential(7.63). All each lower level of family functioning, communication and spiritual wellbeing, on subjects were derived significantly different(p.05). There were significant correlation among the variables of subjects. The cohesive family functioning score was significant related to the adapted(r=.588). Especially, the closed communication score showed inverse correlations open family functioning(r=-.424) and open communication score(r=-.680). The existential spiritual wellbeing score also was significant related to the cohesive(p<.001) and adaptive(p<.05) family functioning, open communication(p<.05). Especially, the closed communication score showed inverse correlations existential spiritual wellbeing (r=-.202). The existential spiritual wellbeing score also was significant related to the religious(r=.815, p<.001). These results will not only emphasis the need of family functioning to elevate and decrease the Closed family communication but suggest the important points of gathering various data and analysis about economic, education and marital status. Finally, related to mental health nursing, a community can get the utmost out of these results to keep offering education and practice of family mental health for adult women.
There are many discourses about 'religion and women,' but it is no exaggeration to say that there is none about 'religion and men.' This is because the existing religions have been male-centric and have produced legions of male-dominated cultures. In Catholic Church, even today, only men can become the Pope, and women are not allowed to enter priesthood. Meanwhile, in the Islamic cultural areas, the reality is that women are being victimized by men who do not recognize the bad habits such as honor killings, or honor crimes. It is certain that gender discrimination in religious and cultural areas cannot be overlooked. This study focuses on the understanding of women in the thought of Daesoonjinrihoe(大巡眞理會), that is, the Daesoon Thought, which claims to advocate world peace. Daesoonjinrihoe is understood as a thought which tries to overcome gender discrimination prevalent in the existing religions and presents the vision of a new religion which aims to realize a new world of peace by drawing a distinction between the Former Heaven and the Latter Heaven. This study examines the understanding of women by looking at the tenet of Daesoonjinrihoe that consists of 'YeumYangHapDeok(陰陽合德), SinInJoHwa(神人調化), HaeWon-SangSaeng(解冤相生), DoTongJinGyeong(道通眞境).' The tenet is thought of as the basis of creed on which the understanding of women by the Daesoon Thought can be grasped as it basically contains the essence of teaching of the order. In the Daesoon Thought, women have the same status as men; women can become holy and dignified beings by engaging in independent, active, and autonomous spiritual exercises, and serve as a driving force for the realization of the ideal world. This understanding of women by the Daesoon Thought contains the idea of peace which can turn 'the culture of discrimination' into 'the culture of equality,' and 'the culture of life destruction' into 'the culture of life care.'
본 연구는 집단독서치료가 중년여성들의 자존감 향상에 초래하는 변화를 파악하기 위해 현상학적 방법인 Giorgi 연구방법으로 분석되었다. 중년 후기 여성 6명을 대상으로 12회에 걸친 독서치료를 실시하고, 녹음파일 속의 참여자의 진술을 221개의 의미단위, 16개의 하위상황/주제, 6개 상황/주제, 3개의 그룹으로 분석 통합하였다. 연구결과, 참여자들은 가족 관계의 어려움으로 신경증적 증상을 경험하였으나 독서치료 경험 후 자존감, 가족, 인생관에 대한 태도가 변화되었다. 참여자간의 상호작용과 독서치료의 매개체인 그림책은 참여자들의 경험을 표현하는데 긍정적인 정서적, 심리적 반응을 불러일으켰다. 또한, 중년여성들의 종교생활 참여는 마음의 상처 치유에 큰 역할을 했음을 발견하였다.
Among many different approaches of study of history of Kokuryo clothing culture, this study attempted to understand the costume by including political , militarial , economical , cultural , and religious aspects of Kokuryo society. It also included pictures in mural tumbs and old studies in Kokuryo costume. Clothing culture related to political life clearly differenciated social status by restricting styles and colors of clothes according to peoples social status. Generally people in high social status wore clothes with detailed decorations invariety of colors, and also used more fabrics than people in low social status. Costume was also affected by military life style that needed to meet the vigorous physical activities. High rank worriors wore iron scaled shielded clothes with red decoration on it which identified different ranks of the worriors. Economy also contributed it role to affect the clothing styles in Kokuryo. Based on old studies of costume, this study focused on people's life styles that included hunting and weaving . Hunting clothes were differentiated by decorating wit feathers . Jowoguan(조우관) is one of the examples. Since weaving was a major economic power or factor, silk and flax were very popular. People even used those fabrics to pay tax. Regarding cultural aspect , this study emphasized on song and dance wear along with active wear. Song and dance wear specially decorated with poka dots, however men and women wear were claryly distinguished. Unlike other clothes that were restricted in colors and styles, song and dance wear were decorated in variety of colors. Lastly this study presents religious aspects of Kokuryo costume . Monks wore black clothing (내의) that was influenced from China and the Western Regions(서역). To emphasize their religious power, Gods in the pictures of mural tumbs wore clothes with wings and feathers. God of fire and agriculture wore simple dresses without much decorations which represented simple life style of working class.
Background: Human papilloma virus (HPV) is a common sexually transmitted infectious agent. It is estimated that 10% of all women worldwide are infected with HPV, that is some 660 million each year. HPV vaccination has a reported efficacy of more than 98% for protection against infection in females. In 2008 the Abu Dhabi Health Authority in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) introduced free HPV vaccination for all eligible schoolgirls in both public and private schools. Methods: A cross-sectional study of 640 women aged 18-50 years in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in UAE from April 2012 to October 2012 was conducted. Results: Thirty-seven percent of the women in our sample had heard about HPV vaccination, and 80% of these would consider getting vaccinated themselves, and 87% would recommend vaccination to relatives or friends. Most women in the study (69%) had a favorable opinion about the vaccine. Only 17% of the women felt it might not be culturally acceptable, and 1% felt that there might be religious objections to HPV vaccination. Vaccine safety and recommendation by a doctor (36% each) were the factors identified most frequently by our sample of women which would enhance the uptake of the HPV vaccination. Conclusions: Knowledge about HPV vaccination among women in our sample was below average (37%); however, 80% of those who had heard about HPV vaccination were willing to be vaccinated themselves, and 87% would recommend vaccination to relatives and friends.
In the history of the costume of Western Europe one of the most interesting apects is that the silhouette of women's dress has been continuously evolved. There can be various origins in this changing silhouette but the most important origin is that clothes of any period are the reflection of the architectural political religious and economic background against which they are worn they must also be djusted to the texture and design of the materials produced at the time and of course there is always the basic instinct of sex attraction. The changing line in men's and women's clothes has been demanded by each period but man's great active life did not required the development of exaggerated line which could restrict his movements. Exaggeration in men's clothes has usually been confined to accessories only details could be simplified or abandoned altogether in time of action. Then the shapes and functions of corsets will be looked into in a more detailed way. In addition the materials and decorations which were preferred to achieve the desired silhouette will be examined. Finally underwear which was and has been worn for cleanness protection the shapes of outer clothes and erotic mood will be studied.
This study aims to examine the socio-demographic heterogeneity of community participation in rural Korea. Data was collected through interviews with 1,870 rural householders and housewives who have lived in Up or Myen as an administrative unit of rural communities, and analyzed by the SPSS/PC Win V.10 program. The statistical techniques used for this study were frequency and percentile. The major findings of this study were as follows. Firstly, the extent to which rural people have participated in community organizations were: cooperative groups, $80.8\%$; religious groups, $20.6\%$; learning groups, $12.7\%$; political groups, $9.8\%;$ civil groups $6.7\%$; and voluntary groups, $5.3\%$. Whereas the numbers were high for community participation in groups related to agricultural production, participation in civil and voluntary groups were lower. Secondly, it showed that people who lived in urbanized and high population density areas were more likely to participate in community groups. The diversity of community organizations was different according to the level of rurality. Thirdly, farm householders were more likely to participate in religious, civil and voluntary groups than non-farm householders. Fourthly, people with higher education, females, those in the 40 to 50 age groups were more likely to participate in community organizations. Fifthly, even though men are more likely to participate in political parties, women were more likely then men to agree that women should participate in political parties. This empirical study could support the results of Sundeen (1988) and Wilson and Musick (1997) in that education was related positively to community participation. In addition, we concluded that community participation in a rural development process has two main considerations: philosophical and pragmatic. This implies that there is room for government to enable and facilitate 'true' community participation. That can be done through policy reform which creates a permissive environment for community decision-making and input, in addition to simply supporting community development through financial assistance.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between perception of family environment and mental health of boy's high school students. In order to obtain the appropriate data, a questionnaire was administered to 240 boy's high school 2nd-grade students in Pohang city from March 19 to March 28, 1992. The instruments used for this study were Moos's Family Environment Scale Form R and Kim's Symptom Check List-90. The conclusions were as follows : The level of perception of family environment was lower than mean score. Cohesion, achievement orientation, independence, organization, expressiveness were percepted high but active-recreational orientation, intellectual-cultural orientation were percepted low. Mental health of most respondents was well. The scores of obsessive-compulsive reaction and interpersonal sensitivity were high, the scores of somatization and phobia were low. General characteristic variables significantly related to the level of perception about family environment were father's occupation and mother's education level. There were no significant differences between general characteristic variables and mental health. There were mostly negative correlations between perception of family environment and mental health. Cohesion, expressiveness, independence, intellectual-cultural orientation, active-recerational orientation, moral-religious emphasis, organization were negatively correlated but conflict, achivement orientation, control were positively correlated. Cohesion, expressiveness, conflict, achivement orientation, active-recretional orientation, organization, control were significantly related, but independence intellectual-cultural orientation, moral-religious emphasis were no significant correlation.
