The purpose of this study was to determine the trends of health related intervention researches for married immigrant women in order to develop health promotion programs for married immigrant women. Among ninety six health related research papers published between 2000 and 2015, nine intervention researches were reviewed and analyzed. Among these researches, three were related to pregnancy and delivery and one was related to the prevention of infections in children and women's diseases respectively. Four researches provided information pertaining to the intervention and handling of mental and social or physical health issues, two researches pertained to only mental health and three researches covered only physical health. The researches related to physical health for married immigrant women needed to take into consideration various issues related to life span including child birth and child rearing. Also, researches that focused on social and mental health issues required additional planning to enhance relationships with others in addition to personal coping skills.
As we enter the era Convergence, commercialized convergence contents aimed at the disabled are giving a lot of help to them. This fusion research is aimed at providing necessary basic data and practical measures for these by analyzing the effect of influencing the quality of life for women with disabilities. This research was conducted with 250 disabled women living in Jeon-nam region from Jan,1 through April, 25 in 2015. After screening women aged 20-80 who had symptoms and musculoskeletal disorders and were using convergence contents, convergence projects were implemented with total 125 patients over 16 weeks. The result of the convergence projects showed that most of these experieced the decrease of musculoskeletal pain, the decrease of depressed levels, and the improvement of quality of life. Future studies should be done in terms of a long-term perspective and continuing support, and follow-up studies should also be done to evaluate its effectiveness.
This is an exploratory study to describe drinking patterns and alcohol-related problems (ARP) in women. A probability sample was drawn from Kyungnam Providence area 20 to 59 age by a multi- stage cluster sampling method and secondary data analysis was used. Drinking patterns in this study involve lifetime prevalence of alcohol use, year prevalence, month prevalence , frequency and usual quantity of drinking alcohol in a situation, ARPs were measured by employing a modified version of ARP developed by Alcohol Research Group in U.S.A. Three measurements were constructed to represent alcohol-related problems by summing up 41 alcoholic statements, which were consequence, social consequence and dependence. The results were as follows; 1) The lifetime prevalence of alcohol use in women was $80.3\%$ and year prevalence $78.3\%$. High prevalence rates of drinking were observed in the twenties who have at least community college diploma. and frequencies of alcohol use were increased as age increased. 2) More than $27.3\%$ of the respondents who were reported to experience at least a ARP in a year. 3) ARPs were associated with age, religion, frequency and usual quantity of drinking alcohol in situation. Issues were proposed with respect to research methodology and policy implications for public health.

Due to increased number of women workers in Indonesia in the last decade, numbers of women living as a worker and a housewife have increased. This also increases the potential risk of breastfeeding discontinuation. Three months of maternal leave policy and inadequate lactation promotion support in workplace have been identified as factors that hinder lactating practices. The World Health Organization recommendation of 6 months of exclusive breastfeeding and joined regulation of three Indonesia ministers (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour, and Ministry of Women Empower) have failed to improve the exclusive breastfeeding rate among female workers in Indonesia due to the lack of a standardized guideline on lactation promotion at workplace. In addition, very limited or no studies have been conducted to evaluate the impact of workplace-based lactation intervention programs on exclusive breastfeeding rate among female workers. This is because the relationship of lactation with working performance and productivity could not motivate employer to invest in workplace-based lactation promotion facility or program.
Purpose: This study identified the prevalence of depressive symptoms and explored correlates of depressive symptoms among Korean women care-workers caring older adults living in community. Methods: A total of 465 participants were recruited for the study. Depressive symptoms was measured by the CES-D10 and distress was assessed using a single question given 5 Likert scale. Results: The prevalence of depressive symptoms and distress among care-workers were 32.5% and 32.0% respectively. Work environment safety, violence exposure experience, work-family conflict, weekly care work time, and poor health status were significantly associated with depressive symptoms. Only violence exposure experience and poor health status were associated with distress. Conclusion: Our findings suggest more attention on mental health of care-workers and their risky work condition such as violence.
Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in women around the world. Information on the incidence and mortality of breast cancer is essential for planning health measures. This study aimed to investigate the incidence and mortality of breast cancer in the world using age-specific incidence and mortality rates for the year 2012 acquired from the global cancer project (GLOBOCAN 2012) as well as data about incidence and mortality of the cancer based on national reports. It was estimated that 1,671,149 new cases of breast cancer were identified and 521,907 cases of deaths due to breast cancer occurred in the world in 2012. According to GLOBOCAN, it is the most common cancer in women, accounting for 25.1% of all cancers. Breast cancer incidence in developed countries is higher, while relative mortality is greatest in less developed countries. Education of women is suggested in all countries for early detection and treatment. Plans for the control and prevention of this cancer must be a high priority for health policy makers; also, it is necessary to increase awareness of risk factors and early detection in less developed countries.
Since the five-day workweek has implemented and the spare time increased, the tourist industry has been showing the growth with quality. Adverse drug events (ADEs) are the most common type of adverse events in medical practice. Hospital admissions related to ADEs cost high and should be monitored to prevent them. While concerns about the ADEs are increasing, the frequency and characteristics of admissions related to ADEs have not been reported in Korea. The objective of the study was to assess the rate of hospital admission related to ADEs and their characteristics through ADE signal-based retrospective reviews of medical records. As results, a total of 1,420 patients had ADE signals suggesting potential ADEs from 3,494 patients who discharged from an academic medical center over one month period. Six pharmacists independently assessed the presence of ADEs after the review of patients' medical records. Among the 3,494 discharges, 62 admissions (1.8%) were found to be realted to ADEs. Of admissions with ADEs, 83.9% were moderate (category F by the NCC MERP classification), 37.2% were preventable, and 85.5% were type A reaction. The most frequent suspected drugs causing ADEs were antineoplastics (48.9%), and the most frequent ADE signal detecting hospital admissions related to ADEs was white blood cell count (24.2%). Hospital admissions related to ADEs were found through screening the ADE signals. The ADE signal-based retrospective review could be a practical approach for identifying hospital admissions related to ADEs.
As there has been growing interests in PHR-based personalized health management project, various institutions recently explore safe methods of recording personal medical and health information. In particular, innovative medical solution can be realized when medical researchers and medical service institutes can generally get access to patient data. As EMR data is extremely sensitive, there has been no progress in clinical information exchange. Moreover, patients cannot get access to their own health data and exchange it with researchers or service institutions. It can be operated in terms of technology, yet policy environment are affected by state laws as well as Privacy and Security Policy. Blockchain technology-independent, in transaction, and under test-is introduced in the medical industry in order to settle these problems. In other words, medical organizations can grant preliminary approval on patient information exchange by using the safely encrypted and distributed Blockchain ledger and can be managed independently and completely by individuals. More apparently, medical researchers can gain access to information, thereby contributing to the scientific advance in rare diseases or minor groups in the world. In this paper, we focused on how to manage personal medical information and its protective use and proposes medical treatment exchange system for patients based on a permissioned Blockchain network for the safe PHR operation. Trusted Model for Sharing Medical Data (TMSMD), that is proposed model, is based on exchanging information as patients rely on hospitals as well as among hospitals. And introduce medical treatment exchange system for patients based on a permissioned Blockchain network. This system is a model that encrypts and records patients' medical information by using this permissioned Blockchain and further enhances the security due to its restricted counterfeit. This provides service to share medical information uploaded on the permissioned Blockchain to approved users through role-based access control. In addition, this paper presents methods with smart contracts if medical institutions request patient information complying with domestic laws by using the distributed Blockchain ledger and eventually granting preliminary approval for sharing information. This service will provide an independent information transaction and the Blockchain technology under test will be adopted in the medical industry.
