자동차 전장설계 옵션별 출도 및 관리시스템 개발 (A Development of Advanced Wiring Harness Design System for a Vehicle)

  • The harness design process consists of repetitious routines to decide the wire configuration in its interior. A slight change in one of the wire's configuration will require a total reconfiguration of the entire wire system. Therefore, the harness design is extremely time consuming and is vulnerable to human errors by an engineer. Based on both electrical and mechanical area, Wiring Harness system is in complicated area. Existing systems are, therefore, not exactly suitable for practical use. This paper presents a novel framework for ameliorating existing system's defects. In this paper, Visio and Visual Basic was interfaced to process wire bundle information and wire bundle location to alleviate problems mentioned beforehand concerning harness design; at the same time developing the automation of the entire design process based on the feature based design method, optional print, and management of documents for reuse.

  • Wiring Harness는 자동차들 구동시키는데 필요한 전기적 신호를 전달하는 매개체 역할을 하며 자동차 성능에 많은 영향을 받는다. 현재의 작업현장에서의 Wiring Harness 작업은 작업자의 수작업에 의존하고 있어 생산성이 낮고 제품불량률도 높다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 반복적인 휴먼에러 낮추기 위해, LED 점등에 의해 순차적으로 지시하고 동시에 확인 검사를 수행할 수 있는 무선 하네스 컨베이어 시스템을 구현한다. 그리고 결과에 의해 공정개선을 통해 자동화를 개선한다. 또한 작업자의 생산성을 높이고 불량을 감소시킨다.

전면 도어 와이어하니스 시스템의 내구 수명 예측에 관한 연구 (Durability Prediction of Door W/H System Using FEM Analysis)

  • In vehicle's door wiring harness (W/H) system is more toward to arrange a passenger compartment than a hinge and a weatherstrip. An opening/closing member of a vehicle is attached to a vehicle by a hinge in a manner enabling easy opening and closing of the opening/closing member. Such members include doors, such as side-doors and rear doors, and other opening/closing members, such as trunk lids. This article gives some insight into the dimensioning process, with special focus on large deflection analysis of wiring harness(W/H) in vehicle's door structures for durability problem. The Finite elements analysis for door wiring harness(W/H) is used for residual stresses and dimensional stability with bending flexible. Durability test data for slam test specimens were compared with the numerical predicted fatigue life for verification. The final testing of the component combines the effects of these microstructural features with the complex stress state arising from the combined service loading and residual stresses.

  • Due to the introduction of the electronic control systems, agricultural machine is getting complicated with its special function. The complex electronics system increases difficulty of maintenances in the wiring harness system. The heavy wiring harness has some poor reliability and workability in the production line of manufacture also. So, in this study, some small local control modules are developed to complement the difficulties with the benefits of distributed control system. All of the local control modules are connected by using CAN communication. This system developed this study has the advantages of modification or alteration of wiring and local modules. All the sensors and actuators can be easily monitored and controlled by the main controller with the appropriate communication protocol made by in this study.

  • An approach to providing computational support for concurrent design is discussed in the context of an automobile wiring harness design problem. Key issues include the development of an architecture that supports collaboration among specialists, the development of hierarchical representations that capture different characteristics of the design, and decomposition of tasks to achieve a tradeoff between efficiency and robustness of the system. We present an architecture in which the main design tasks are supported by agents-asynchronous and semi-autonomous modules that automate routine design tasks and provide specialized interfaces for working on particular aspects of the design. The agent communication and coordination mechanisms permit members of an engineering team to work concurrently, at different levels of detail and of different versions of the design. The design is represented hierarchically, with detailed models maintained by the participating agents. In conjunction with the architecture and design representations, issues pertaining to the exchange of information among different views of the design, management of dependencies and constraints, and propagation of design changes are discussed.

Modular BOM을 활용한 와이어링 하네스 원가 산출 (Using a Modular BOM for Cost Calculation in Wiring Harness)

  • Since past till now, automotive wiring harness has been designed and produced under the method of part number list. However, the number of options has increased gradually on the basis of customer's needs and car manufacturer's policy, thereby bringing about an increase in the number of classified parts. Because of a large number of classified parts, cost estimates for manufacturing and production planning are more important than ever. However, the pre-existing manufacturing bill of material abbreviated as BOM is only focused on the list of materials used for actual manufacturing, and as such there have been limits to other fields or areas of usage except for manufacturing. In essence, the present paper is concerned with our study conducted on modular BOM as one of planning BOM. On such basis, we have been able to completely use a method by which to have access, make an option units' calculation in wiring harness manufacturing, and build an efficient system for cost estimates in manufacturing as well.

차량용 와이어링 하네스 개선을 위한 브릿지 커넥터 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study of Bridge Connector Development on Wiring Harness Improvement in Vehicles)

  • Recently a large number of electronic control devices are abruptly increasing in vehicles as the electronic industry advances. Also the number of wiring harnesses and complexity of wiring is proportionally increased to the devices. A newly developed connector named bridge connector is introduced in this study for the purpose of the wiring structure changes. A wiring structure among distributed control systems by using serial communication is proposed with the bridge connector in this paper. The bridge connector contains a auto-recovery fuse made by PTC thermistor material for the protection of the over-currents on local control devices. The auto-recovery function of the fuse is needed for the maintenance free system in the distributed controls. The PTC fuse characteristics organized in this study is tested and the results are showed in detail for the real application.

  • In the automotive electronic industry, the development of vehicle's door wiring harness (W/H) system for new applications is driven continuously for the low-cost and the high strength performance for electronic components. The problem of the fatigue strength estimation for materials and components containing natural defects, inclusions, or inhomogeneities is of great importance both scientifically and industrially. This article gives some insight into the dimensioning process with special focus on the fatigue analysis of wiring harness (W/H) in vehicle's door structures. The results from endurance tests using slim test specimens were compared with the results from FEM for predicted fatigue life. The expectation for the life of components is affected by the microstructural features with complex stress state arising from the combined service loading and residual stresses.

자동차 전장용 에이전트 기반 시스템 연구 (A Study on Concurrent Engineering Methodology for Automobile Wiring Harness Design System)

  • Design and production of wiring for automobile systems provide the background for the development of concurrent engineering framwork. Key issues include with different parts of the wiring design process and the development of hierarchical representations that capture the different characteristics(e.g., connectivity, geometry) of the harnesses. The abstraction of design information results in features, while the abstraction of operations leads to the development of agents. These abstracts are essential for efficient transactions among people and computer tools in a domain that involves numerous interacting constraints. We have decomposed the wiring design process into four basic categories of tasks that are each addressed by an "agent" : the Environment Editor(EE), the Free Space Manager(FSM), the Wiring Editor(WE), and the Part Selector(PS). In this paper the strategy for the problem decomposition, the definition of features, and the ways in which features are used by various agents, are discussed. We conclude with a discussion of some of the issues raised by the project and the steps underway to address them.

  • 하네스 배선은 자동차를 구동시키는데 필요한 전기적 신호를 전달하는 매개체 역할을 하며 자동차 성능에 많은 영향을 받는다. 기존 하네스 제품에서는 0과 1을 체크하는 기능으로 운영되고 있으며, 전선 조립 공정에서의 검사를 진행 시 하네스 작업자의 눈에 의한 외부 검사와 회로 검사기를 공정에서 사용하고 있다. 따라서, 검사기에서는 합격이 되어도, 완성 자동차에서는 사용 중에 불량이 발생 되고 있다. 이와 같은 불량을 개선하고자 사용되는, FPGA 기술을 적용한 ADC 정밀 하네스 검사를 통해 선과 선이 미세하게 끊어진 상태를 측정할 수 있는 설계와 시뮬레이션 결과를 제시한다.
