이중 채널 ZigBee 라우터의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a Dual-Channel ZigBee Router)

  • ZigBee는 저전력 특성을 기반으로 무선 센서 네트워크의 전송 프로토콜로 활용되고 있다. ZigBee 네트워크에서 연속적인 데이터 전송률이 ZigBee에서 처리 가능한 최대 전송률 수준으로 요구되는 경우에 데이터를 중계하는 라우터가 수신과 송신을 동시에 처리 할 수 없기 때문에 실질 전송률은 절반 이하로 떨어지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 2개의 송수신 모듈을 장착하여 수신과 송신을 동시에 처리할 수 있는 라우터를 설계하고 구현하였다. 또한, 송수신을 동시에 처리할 수 있도록 서로 다른 채널을 할당하는 중앙집중식 채널할당 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 실험을 통해 제안한 이중 채널 라우터의 최대 전송률이 일반 라우터의 2배에 가까운 150kbps에 이르는 것을 보였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 2PAM(binary pulse-antipodal modulation) DS(direct-sequence) UWB(ultra-wideband) 시스템을 V-BLAST(vertical bell lab layered space-time) 구조를 사용하는 MIMO(multiple input multiple output) 시스템에 적용하여 실내 무선 채널 환경에서 고속 데이터 전송률을 달성하고자 한다. 이러한 2PAM DS UWB MIMO 시스템의 BER 성능과 송수신 안테나의 차원과의 관계가 논의된다. 또한, UWB-MIMO 시스템의 수신기에서는 ZF(zero-forcing), ZF-OSIC(ordered successive interference cancellation), MMSE(minimum-mean-square-error), MMSE-OSIC, ML(maximum likelihood)과 같은 다양한 MIMO(multiple input multiple output)와 같은 다양한 MIMO 검출기법이 비교, 분석된다.

통신 신호 방향 탐지를 위한 광대역 다중 채널 수신기 개발 (Development of Wideband Multi-Channel Receiver for Direction Finding of Communication Signals)

  • In wireless environments, wideband receivers are used in a communication intelligent system to detect unknown signals and obtain azimuth information. To design a wideband receiver that performs multiple signal detection and direction finding simultaneously, it is necessary to consider a reception structure composed of multiple channels. In this paper, we propose a wideband multi-channel receiver for direction finding of unknown wideband communication signals including frequency hopping signals. A signal processing method for detecting received signals and estimating azimuth information is presented, and components of the manufactured wideband receiver are described. In addition, test results of the signal detection performance by mounting the proposed wideband multi-channel receiver on the flight system are included.

Novel Adaptive Distributed Compressed Sensing Algorithm for Estimating Channels in Doubly-Selective Fading OFDM Systems

  • Doubly-selective (DS) fading channel is often occurred in many orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication systems, such as high-speed rail communication systems and underwater acoustic (UWA) wireless networks. It is challenging to provide an accurate and fast estimation over the doubly-selective channel, due to the strong Doppler shift. This paper addresses the doubly selective channel estimation problem based on complex exponential basis expansion model (CE-BEM) in OFDM systems from the perspective of distributed compressive sensing (DCS). We propose a novel DCS-based improved sparsity adaptive matching pursuit (DCS-IMSAMP) algorithm. The advantage of the proposed algorithm is that it can exploit the joint channel sparsity information using dynamic threshold, variable step size and tailoring mechanism. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves 5dB performance gain with faster operation speed, in comparison with traditional DCS-based sparsity adaptive matching pursuit (DCS-SAMP) algorithm.

A Non-Stationary Geometry-Based Cooperative Scattering Channel Model for MIMO Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication Systems

  • Traditional channel models for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication usually assume fixed velocity in static scattering environment. In the realistic scenarios, however, time-variant velocity for V2V results in non-stationary statistical properties of wireless channels. Dynamic scatterers with random velocities and directions have been always utilized to depict the non-stationary statistical properties of the channel. In this paper, a non-stationary geometry-based cooperative scattering channel model is proposed for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) V2V communication systems, where a birth-death process is used to capture the appearance and disappearance dynamic properties of moving scatterers that reflect the time-variant time correlation and Doppler spectrum characteristics. Moreover, our model has more straight and concise to study the impact of the vehicular traffic density on channel characteristics and thus avoid complicated procedure in deriving the analytical expressions of the channel parameters and functions. The numerical results validate our analysis and demonstrate that setting important parameters of our model can appropriately build up more purposeful measurement campaigns in the future.

  • 스마트폰은 휴대용 컴퓨터로서 자리매김하고 있다. 이에 따라 가장 민감한 금융 응용 서비스조차 스마트폰을 통해 언제 어디서나 사용할 수 있게 되었다. 스마트폰은 일반 PC에 비해 무선인터넷, 이동통신망을 비롯하여 블루투스, NFC 등 근거리 통신망 등 다양한 경로를 통하여 외부와 통신하고 있으며 매우 다양한 앱이 제공되고 있어 취약점이 존재할 경우, 공격의 피해가 발생할 가능성이 높아진다. 본 논문에서는 여러 가지 물리적 제약점이 있는 스마트폰의 은행앱에서 로그인에 사용되는 동적 가상키보드의 취약점에 대하여 분석하고, 그 대응방안을 제시한다.

SWITCH: SDN-WLAN Integrated Handover Scheme for QoS-Guaranteed Mobile Service

  • The handover procedure of IEEE 802.11 wireless local area networks (WLANs) introduces significant delay, which can degrade the quality of service (QoS) especially for delay-sensitive applications. Although studies have been conducted to support handover in SDN-based WLAN, there is no research to reduce the channel scanning procedure that takes up the most delay time in the handover process. The channel scanning procedure is essential to determine the appropriate access point (AP). To mitigate this problem, this paper proposes a SWITCH: SDN-WLAN integrated handover scheme for QoS-Guaranteed mobile service. In SWITCH, each AP periodically broadcasts beacon frames through different channels in a predetermined order that includes the operating channel information of the AP. This allows mobile stations (MSs) to receive the beacon frames of nearby APs, and therefore they can determine the appropriate APs for handover without the channel scanning procedure. By reporting the information of the newly moved AP to the SDN controller, a flow rule is installed in advance to provide fast handover, and packet loss is reduced by buffering data destined for MS. In addition, the proposed scheme can adaptively operate SWITCH to consider the user location and QoS requirement of flow to save radio resource overhead. Performance evaluation results demonstrate that SWITCH can reduce the handover delays, flow table utilization ratio and radio resource overhead while improving the network throughput.

A Signal Detection of Minimum Variance Algorithm on Linear Constraints

  • We propose a method for removing interference and noise to estimate target information. In wireless channels, information signals are subject to interference and noise, making it is difficult to accurately estimate the desired signal. To estimate the desired information signal, it is essential to remove the noise and interference from the received signal, extracting only the desired signal. If the received signal noise and interference are not removed, the estimated information signal will have a large error in distance and direction, and the exact location of the target cannot be estimated. This study aims to accurately estimate the desired target in space. The objective is to achieve more presice target estimation than existing methods and enhance target resolution.An estimation method is proposed to improve the accuracy of target estimation. The proposed target estimation method obtains optimal weights using linear constraints and the minimum variance method. Through simulation, the performance of the proposed method and the existing method is analyzed. The proposed method successfully estimated all four targets, while the existing method only estimated two targets. The results show that the proposed method has better resolutiopn and superior estimation capability than the existing method.

Performance analysis of SWIPT-assisted adaptive NOMA/OMA system with hardware impairments and imperfect CSI

  • This paper investigates the effect of hardware impairments (HIs) and imperfect channel state information (ICSI) on a SWIPT-assisted adaptive nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA)/orthogonal multiple access (OMA) system over independent and nonidentical Rayleigh fading channels. In the NOMA mode, the energy-constrained near users act as a relay to improve the performance for the far users. The OMA transmission mode is adopted to avoid a complete outage when NOMA is infeasible. The best user selection scheme is considered to maximize the energy harvested and avoid error propagation. To characterize the performance of the proposed systems, closed-form and asymptotic expressions of the outage probability for both near and far users are studied. Moreover, exact and approximate expressions of the ergodic rate for near and far users are investigated. Simulation results are provided to verify our theoretical analysis and confirm the superiority of the proposed NOMA/OMA scheme in comparison with the conventional NOMA and OMA protocol with/without HIs and ICSI.

테라헤르츠 대역 무인비행체 에너지 수확 릴레이 네트워크 성능분석 (Performance Analysis of a UAV Energy Harvesting Relay Network in the Terahertz Band)

  • 무인 항공기(UAV) 지원 중계는 분포가 쉽고 통신 채널이 양호하며, 이동성이 뛰어나 기존 지상 중계에 비해 높은 무선 연결성을 가질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 무선 주파수(RF) 대역을 활용하여 소스로부터 에너지를 수확하고 테라헤르츠(THz) 대역을 활용하여 2차 송신기와 해당 수신기 간에 정보를 전송할 수 있는 UAV 지원 중계 네트워크를 설계한다. 그 후, 릴레이 채널 용량을 최대화하는 UAV의 최적 위치를 결정하기 위한 최적화 문제의 해를 유도하고, 유도된 해를 활용하여 두 가지 UAV 궤적(직선 궤적과 타원 궤적)을 설계하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안된 알고리즘은 UAV 직선 궤도가 수확된 에너지 및 채널 용량 측면에서 더 나은 시스템 성능을 제공할 수 있음을 보여준다.
