  • Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) is a wireless real-time information(Acquired from the sensor nodes that have the computing power and wireless communication capabilities.) collected, and to take advantage of processing techniques. Currently it is very diverse, such as environmental monitoring, health care, security, smart home, smart grid applications is that. Thus it is required in the wireless sensor network, the algorithm for the efficient use of the limited energy capacity. Suggested by the algorithm for selecting a cluster head node for a hybrid type and clustered, by comparing the amount of energy remaining and a connection between the nodes In this paper, we aim to increase efficiency and accuracy of the wireless sensor network.

  • To increase the lifetime of the network in wireless sensor networks, energy harvesting from the surrounding environment or wireless power transfer is being used. In addition, to reduce the energy imbalance and increase the amount of data gathered, a method using mobile sink nodes that visit sensor nodes to gather data has been used. In this paper, we propose a technique to reduce the load on the relay node and collect a lot of data evenly in this environment. In the proposed scheme, sensor nodes construct Minimum Depth Trees (MDTs) considering the network environment and energy, and allocate the data collection amount. Simulation results show that the proposed technique effectively suppresses energy depletion and collects more data compared to existing techniques.

  • Wireless sensor networks are composed of many wireless sensor nodes that are sensing the environments. These networks have many constraints that are resource constraints, wireless communication, self-construction, etc. But they have many applications that are monitoring environment, tracking the object, etc. In this paper, a mechanism of finding QoS Satisfied multi-path is proposed in wireless sensor networks. In order to satisfy the QoS requirement, the proposed mechanism extends the AODV protocol to find multiple paths from a source node to a destination node by using the additional AODV message types that are proposed. This mechanism will be used to support many QoS applications such as minimum delay time, the better reliability and the better throughput by using the QoS satisfied multi-path. Overheads of the proposed mechanism are evaluated using simulation, and it is showed that QoS satisfied multiple paths are found with a little more overhead than the AODV mechanism.

  • Wireless sensor nodes are widely used for various applications such as environmental monitoring. In this paper, the RSSI and PER are measured for the indoor environment with the various interferences such as obstacles(concrete walls, steel doors) and the 2.4GHz wireless LAN interference. Also, the RSSI and PER are measured for the outdoor environments. From the measured values of the RSSI and PER, the guideline for the stable operation of the wireless sensor network is suggested.

  • The authors' research efforts recently led to the development of a customized wireless control unit which receives the real-time feedbacks from the sensors, and elaborates the consequent control signal to drive the actuator(s). The controller is wireless in performing the data transmission task, i.e., it receives the signals from the sensors without the need of installing any analogue cable connection between them, but it is powered by wire. The actuator also needs to be powered by wire. In this framework, the design of a power management unit is of interest only for the wireless sensor stations, and it should be adaptable to different kind of sensor requirements in terms of voltage and power consumption. In the present paper, the power management efficiency is optimized by taking into consideration three different kinds of accelerometers, a load cell, and a non-contact laser displacement sensor. The required voltages are assumed to be provided by a power harvesting solution where the energy is stored into a capacitor.

  • A Practical application of environmental monitoring system based on wireless sensor node network with the core of embedded system STR711FR2 microprocessor is presented in the paper. The adaptable and classifiable wireless sensor node network is used to achieve the data acquisition and multi-hop wireless communication of parameters of the monitoring base station environment including repeaters. The structure of the system is proposed and the hardware architecture of the system is designed, and the system operating procedures is proposed. As a result of field test, designed hardware platform operated with 50kbps bit rate and 5MHz channel spacing at 2040Hz. The wireless monitoring system can be managed and swiftly retreated without support of base station environmental monitoring.

  • The nature of wireless transmission has made wireless sensor networks defenseless against various attacks. This paper presents warning message counter method (WMC) to detect blackhole attack, grayhole attack and sinkhole attack in wireless sensor networks. The objective of these attackers are, to draw the nearby network traffic by false routing information and disrupt the network operation through dropping all the received packets (blackhole attack), selectively dropping the received packets (grayhole and sinkhole attack) and modifying the content of the packet (sinkhole attack). We have also attempted light weighted symmetric key cryptography to find data modification by the sinkhole node. Simulation results shows that, WMC detects sinkhole attack, blackhole attack and grayhole attack with less false positive 8% and less false negative 6%.

  • This paper investigated the design method of the smart sensor for implementing IoT (Internet of Things) service. The power supply of sensor consistently acquisting data is based on the energy harvesting technology and designed with piezoelectric transducer not affected by surrounding circumstances. The wireless communication interface for the transmission of data is designed with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). BLE is highly adequate wireless communication technology for low power consumption and short distance wireless communication. The main application of BLE is beacon whose usage range is extended from O2O (Online to Offline) service, navigator based on indoor positioning technology, and anti-theft/lost child prevention service to mobile game. This paper studied the method to extend wireless coverage for complementing the short wireless transmission distance of BLE. The wireless sensor network based on CATV network is proposed for the easy construction of BLE sensor network and extended wireless coverage.

  • Recently, it is advanced about the variable research of IPv6 and the wireless sensor network. However, the existed researches are not enough about the internetworking technology between the wireless sensor network and the Internet based on IPv6 for supporting ubiquitous service. Accordingly, this paper proposes two internetworking models for connecting the wireless sensor network and Internet based on IPv6. The relay router in the first model and the sink node of the wireless sensor network in the second mode] were used as a gateway. Then we analyze and compare with two internetworking models. Additionally we construct the test-bed connected between the wireless sensor network and KOREN(KOrea advanced REsearch Network) based on IPv6 using the first model. And we verified the operation of the test-bed by experiments.

  • Vital sign monitoring system using IEEE 502.IS.4 based wireless sensor network(WSN) is designed and developed on mobile environment and sensor node platform. WSN and CDMA are integrated to create a wide coverage to support various environments like inside and outside. We developed query processor to use selective any devices(ECG, Blood pressure and sugar module) and control of the self-organizing network of sensor nodes in a wireless sensor network. Vital sign from wireless medical any devices are analysed in cell phone first for real time signal analyses and the abnormal vital signs are sent and save to hospital server for detail signal processing. wireless signal traffic in wireless sensor network environment or data communication inside the cell phone is reduced.
