배전선로 원격 진단을 위한 ZigBee 무선통신 시스템 개발 (Development of ZigBee Wireless Communication System for Remote Diagnosis in Distribution Power Lines)

  • This paper presents a ZigBee wireless communication system for remote diagnosis in overhead distribution power lines. The system is divided in three parts in the functional aspect - a host computer module, a remote controller module and a diagnostic system module. The host computer module designed as USB interface transmits control signals and receive data measured by sensor. The remote controller module operates the diagnostic system. Diagnostic system module communicates with internal main controller and host computer USB. Multiple communication channel is adopted for simultaneous operations of several diagnostic system. Dedicated protocol for each module is developed. The system is designed with a focus on low cost and small size suitable for lightweight and small diagnostic system.

Emergency Brushless Synchronous Generator Having Rotating Exciter Status Monitoring and Protection Functions

  • This paper presents an emergency brushless synchronous generator having rotating exciter status monitoring and protection functions. For monitoring the rotating exciter status, a wireless rotor status detector and a digital AVR(Automatic Voltage Regulator), which has a wireless communication capability, are proposed. The proposed rotor status detector detects temperatures of exciter armature and main field windings and input voltage and current of the main field. Therefore, it is possible to protect the generator from the over-temperature of windings and detect the exciter bridge diode fault. Furthermore, the proposed digital AVR has rotor status monitoring and protection function, and remote generator tuning, wireless group parallel operation function. So the operator can efficiently operate the generator using a smartphone from a remote area.

  • 본 논문에서는 무선 센서 네트워크을 활용한 모니터링 센서 로봇 제어 시스템 응용에 대해서 기술한다. 저전력, 초경량의 모니터링 센서 로봇을 통해서 주변 환경을 원격 감지하며, 로봇간의 ad-hoc networking을 통하여 모니터링 센서 로봇의 방향 및 속도를 제어하도록 하였다. 이러한 무선 센서 네트워크 기반의 모니터링 센서 로봇 시스템은 인간의 접근이 어려운 유해 환경이나 공장, 발전소 등의 위험지역에서 원격 관찰 및 탐지 등의 목적으로 활용 될 수 있다.

  • Recently the idea of a home automation has been an important issue in many publications and home appliances companies. Home automation is a house or living environment that contains the technology to allow devices and systems to be controlled automatically. Remote and local control are useful to keep home comfortable and to support the elderly and the disabled people. In this paper, we discuss possible developments of Bluetooth wireless technologies and describe the hardware for devices and software for the considerations of a home automation system. Finally, we have validated the testbed by simulating in the Bluetooth home network.

  • 대부분의 기존 통합 리모컨은 동일한 제조회사의 특정 제품군만을 제어할 수 있다. 또한, 시그널 기반의 단방향 통신을 이용하므로 가전기기의 상태를 모니터링 할 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 Wireless Personal Area Network 상에서 가전기기의 상태를 관찰할 수 있는 동적 재구성이 가능한 양방향 통합 리모컨의 소프트웨어 프레임워크를 제안한다. 동적 재구성이 가능한 통합 리모컨은 제어 대상인 가전기기의 프로필에 따라 제어를 위한 GUI를 동적으로 생성함으로써 해당 가전기기를 제어할 수 있도록 재구성할 수 있다. 즉, 하나의 통합 리모컨을 통해 프로필을 가진 모든 가전기기를 제어하고 모니터링 할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we propose an effective wireless transmission technology, under poor wireless transmission channel surroundings caused by speedy flying, that are able to transmit high quality video recording information and surveillance data via accessing to various wireless networking services architecture such as One-on-One, Many-on-One, One-on-Many, Over the Horizon. The Real-Time Position Analysis(RAPA) method is also suggested to provide more meaningful video information of shooting area. The suggested wireless transmission technology and RAPA can make remote control of UAV's flight route to get valuable topography information. Because of the benefit to get both of video information and GPS data of shooting area simultaneously, the result of study can be applied to various application sphere including UAV that requires high speed wireless transmission.

  • 기존의 웹 기반 정보 서비스 시스템은 실시간 정보제공과 응급상황에 대한 원격 지원 조치가 어렵다는 문제점들을 갖는다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서, 본 논문에서는 모바일 통신기기(휴대폰, PDA, Smart Phone, Webpad)를 이용하여 원격시스템을 관리 및 모니터링하고 실시간으로 원격지의 시스템을 제어할 수 있는 실시간 무선 원격제어 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 제안하는 시스템은 원격지 예를 들어 '사무 빌딩'과 보육시설 예를 들면 '유치원'에 적용하였다. 사무 빌딩에 구현한 경우는 유선(웹 환경) 또는 무선(모바일 장비)을 통해서 건물관리 및 시스템 환경에 설치된 각종 센서정보를 실시간으로 관리 와 제어할 수 있다. 유치원 시스템에 적용한 경우는 유치원 아동의 활동을 인증된 사용자의 핸드폰으로 실시간 모니터링 할 수 있는 서비스가 제공된다. 제안한 시스템의 보안기능은 모바일장비 사용자 인증과 대상 시스템 접근제어 기능을 갖는다. 제안하는 시스템은 실시간 사용자 인증 기능과 시스템 접근제어기능을 실행하도록 하여 자원관리자와 모바일 장비 사용자의 안전성을 높이고, 중단 없는 서비스의 제공뿐만 아니라 실시간 모바일 서비스 환경을 제공한다.

  • This study concerned with the retention structures or inverted temporary building for displacement measurement in the underground soil after drilling a vertical tilt sensor attached to the vertical distance required to maintain a real-time measurement and management in order to install the wireless measuring devices installed in the field through remote control and management program for the safety of retaining structures temporary building be found on the internet in real time temporary building the retention is to develop a safety management system. And based on this technology to monitor the future status of the various structures possible to add a variety of sensors and Life Cycle Prediction of the structure and needs to evolve into intelligent systems and wireless networks using wireless communications infrastructure systems based on expanding domestic market penetration by developing instrumentation pioneer in overseas markets as well as the activation can also be judged.

원격 정보처리를 이용한 자율주행 트랙터 시스템의 개발 (Development of an Autonomous Tractor System Using Remote Information Processing)

  • An autonomous tractor system was developed and its performance was evaluated. The system consisted of a tractor system of and a remote control station. The tractor and the remote control station communicated each other via wireless modems. The tractor had a DGPS(differential global positioning system), sensors, a controller and a modem. The DGPS collected position data and the tractor status was estimated. The information of tractor status and sensors was transferred to the remote control station. Then, the control station determined the control data such as steering angles using a fuzzy controller. The fuzzy controller used the information from the DGPS, sensors, and GIS(geographic information system) data. The control data were obtained by remote signal processing at the control station The control data for autonomous operation were transferred to the tractor controller. The performances of an autonomous tractor were evaluated for various speeds, different initial positions and different initial headings. About 1.3 seconds of time lag was occurred in transferring the tractor status data and the control data. Compensation the time lag, about 27cm deviation was observed at the speed of 0.5m/s and 37cm at the speed of 1m/s. Error caused mainly by the time lag and it would be reduced by developing a full-duplex radio module for controlling the remote tractor.

  • The technology convergence of television, communication, and computing devices enables the rich social and entertaining experience through Smart TV in personal living space. The powerful smart TV computing platform allows to provide various user interaction interfaces like IR remote control, web based control, body gesture based control, etc. The presently used smart TV interaction user control methods are not efficient and user-friendly to access different type of media content and services and strongly required advanced way to control and access to the smart TV with easy user interface. This paper propose the optical wireless communication (OWC) based remote controller design for Smart TV using smart device Flashlights. In this approach, the user smart device act as a remote controller with touch based interactive smart device application and transfer the user control interface data to smart TV trough Flashlight using visible light communication method. The smart TV built-in camera follows the optical camera communication (OCC) principle to decode data and control smart TV user access functions according. This proposed method is not harmful as radio frequency (RF) radiation does it on human health and very simple to use as well user does need to any gesture moves to control the smart TV.
