Provably secure attribute based signcryption with delegated computation and efficient key updating

  • Equipped with the advantages of flexible access control and fine-grained authentication, attribute based signcryption is diffusely designed for security preservation in many scenarios. However, realizing efficient key evolution and reducing the calculation costs are two challenges which should be given full consideration in attribute based cryptosystem. In this paper, we present a key-policy attribute based signcryption scheme (KP-ABSC) with delegated computation and efficient key updating. In our scheme, an access structure is embedded into user's private key, while ciphertexts corresponds a target attribute set. Only the two are matched can a user decrypt and verify the ciphertexts. When the access privileges have to be altered or key exposure happens, the system will evolve into the next time slice to preserve the forward security. What's more, data receivers can delegate most of the de-signcryption task to data server, which can reduce the calculation on client's side. By performance analysis, our scheme is shown to be secure and more efficient, which makes it a promising method for data protection in data outsourcing systems.

Threshold Setting for LOS/NLOS Identification Based on Joint TOA and RSS

  • Non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation is one of the challenges in radio positioning. Distinguishing the transmission status of the communication as line-of-sight (LOS) or NLOS is of great importance for the wireless communication systems. This paper focuses on the identification of NLOS based on time-of-arrival (TOA) distance estimates and the received signal strength (RSS) measurements. We set a path loss threshold based on the joint TOA and RSS based NLOS detection method to determine LOS or NLOS. Simulation results show that the proposed method ensures the correct of detection for the LOS condition and can improve the NLOS identification for the weak noise and long distance.

Development of a Coaxial Rotor Flying Robot for Observation (감시용 동축로터 비행로봇의 개발)

  • A coaxial rotor flying robot is developed for surveying and reconnoitering various circumstances under calamity environment. The robot has two contrarotating rotors on a common axis, an embedded microcontroller, an IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit), an IR sensor for height control, a micro camera for surveillance, ultrasonic position sensors and wireless communication devices. A bell-bar mounted on the top of the upper rotor hub increases stability and improves flight performance. In this paper, we present a dynamic model of a coaxial rotor flying robot and design an embedded controller far the robot, and implement them to control the developed flying robot. Experimental results show that the proposed controller is valid for autonomous hovering and position control.

  • 보안이 중요시 되는 공간에서 지능형 감시 시스템의 필요성이 점차 중요시 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 embedded Linux 기반의 Mobile Robot에 Network Camera를 탑재 하여 침입자를 추적할 수 있는 시스템 구현에 목적을 두고 있다. Network Camera부터 Wireless Lan을 이용하여 서버로 영상을 전송하고, 서버에서 블록매칭 알고리즘을 이용하여 침입자의 이동경로를 파악하며 침입자에 대한 방향 정보를 전송하여 침입자를 추적한다. 로봇이 침입자를 추적함에 따라 침입자의 유효 영상을 얻는다. 본 논문에 의해서 구현된 시스템은 다른 감시 시스템과 연동하여 지능형 감시 시스템으로서 신뢰성을 더할 수 있다.

  • This paper presents a Kalman filter based modeling algorithm for autonomous robots. State of the robot systems is measured by using embedded sensors and then carried to a host computer via ubiquitous sensor network (USN). We settle a linear state space motion equation for unknown system dynamics and modify a popular Kalman filter algorithm in deriving suitable parameter estimation mechanism. We conduct real-time experiment to test our proposed modeling algorithm where velocity state of the constructed robot is used as system observation.

  • A FFT/IFFT processor is the key component for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems based IEEE 802.11n wireless local area network (WLAN). There exists many radix algorithms according to the structure of butterfly as FFT sub-module, each has the pros and cons on hardware complexity. Here, mixed radix algorithms for 64 and 128 FFT/IFFT processors are proposed, which reduce hardware complexity by using mixture of radix-23 and radix-4 algorithms. The proposed algorithm finish calculation within 3.2${\mu}s$ in order to meet IEEE 802.11n standard requirements and it has less hardware complexity compared with conventional algorithms.

  • This paper addresses the system lifetime maximization algorithm in multi-hop sensor network system. A multi-hop sensor network consists of many battery-driven sensor nodes that collaborate with each other to gather, process, and communicate information using wireless communications. As sensor-driven applications become increasingly integrated into our lives, we propose a energy-aware scheme where each sensor node transmits informative data with adaptive data rate to minimize system energy consumption. We show the optimal data rate to maximize the system lifetime in terms of remaining system energy. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm experimentally shows longer system lifetime in comparison with greedy algorithm.

  • Since the radio spectrum is limited, future wireless system will have micro cellular architecture in order to provide multimedia traffic services on personal communicatons network. The small coverage area of micro cellular systems results in frequent hadnoffs and location updates. We focuse on network load and terminal power due to frequent location updates and propose a location tracking scheme using embedded-pager PCS terminals. The proposed scheme is expected to minimize theconsumption of PCS terminal powr and improve the receiving rate of callee because of the power saving mechanism and the embedded-pager PCS terminal. This paper proposes signaling flows among the network elements for the proposed location tracking scheme. The signaling flows are accomodated to not only the existed network architectures but alsothe ATM backbone network arcitecture. To verify the signaling flows, we used petri-Net model. The resutls show that the signaling flows are suitable to our proposed location tracking scheme.

  • There are many researches to build up ubiquitous environment by the Ubiquitous Sensor Network(USN). These applications, such as home network, health care, natural environment and agricultural areas, are implemented by an embedded system. Their fields are gradually spreading. However the power consumption in its implementation plays an important role on the surrounding environment of the wireless network. In this paper, we design low power processor based sensor node platform for agricultural applications. We also compare its some performance with existing products.
