철도차량 지능형 광대역 통신망의 국제표준화 동향 (International Standardization of Intelligent Broadband Communication of Train)

  • Electronic devices in railway vehicle perform various functions such as not only braking and propulsion but also monitoring of vehicle condition, on-line diagnosis, and passenger information service, etc. These devices, distributed in vehicle, should be efficiently connected so as to properly perform the functions. IEC (International Electro-Technical Commission) standardized train communication network (TCN) as IEC 61375-1, -2. TCN can reduce the interconnecting work load by reducing the number of wire-line, compared with existing hard-wire connection, and it brings the efficient control by enabling various devices to share the information. But existing TCN can not satisfy the increasing service demands like passenger internet access and CCTV surveillance, etc. In this paper, we investigate ECN (Ethernet Consist Network) and ETN (Ethernet Train Backbone) which are proposed to satisfy these demands and in the process of standardization by IEC TC9 WG43.

  • Recently, the increasing need for internet and the activation of hiring business of communication line makes the demand for OPGW cable which can construct the optical communication network in the basis of existing overhead power transmission line. Especially, the demand is focused on the high fiber count OPGW due to high capacity transmission. In step with the trend toward high fiber count cable we have developed the Stainless Steel Loose Tube type OPGW within which have 144core firstly in KOREA. This paper describes the cable design and manufacturing process which gives the stable operation in very severe conditions and the long-term reliability test results conducted in according to dominant specification IEEE Std. 1138-1194.

손실 전송 선로를 가진 Chua 회로에서의 카오스 비밀 통신에 관한 연구 (A Study on Chaotic Secure Communication of Chua's Circuit with Lossy Transmission Line)

  • 본 논문에서는 손실 전송선로를 가진 Chua 회로에서의 카오스 동기화 방법 및 비밀 통신 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 두 개의 동일한 Chua 회로에 전송 선로를 두어 손실 전송로를 구성한 후 송신부와 전송선로 사이는 구동결합 동기 이론을, 전송선로와 수신부 사이는 결합 동기 이론을 적용한 동기화 방법을 제시하였으며, 이 동기화된 회로에 비밀 통신 방법을 적용하여 송신부에서 가산기에 의한 정보 신호와 카오스 신호를 합성하고 수신부에 정보 신호와 카오스를 분리하는 복조 방법을 제시하였으며, 선로 중간에서 정보 신호를 도청한 것과 수신부에서 복원된 신호를 비교하여 비밀 통신의 성능을 검증하였다. 또한 송신부의 각각의 파라미터(키신호)가 불일치하는 경우의 복조 성능을 알아보았다.

  • Currently, the industry uses MODBUS communication method using RS485 as a communication method used when constructing distributed equipment and networks. However, this method has a rather good transmission and reception distance, but has a disadvantage of being a half-duplex communication method. Therefore, there is a great need for a full-duplex communication method that can simultaneously transmit and receive two-wire communications. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new communication hardware equipment that can implement full-duplex communication method by communication signal level to overcome the disadvantage of communication speed. The proposed communication hardware is a structure that can transmit and receive at the same time on the same communication line in two equipments communicating in a two-wire system. The characteristic of this communication hardware is that the transmitter generates two-level signal for data transmission, but the receiver generates three-level electric signal according to the status of the transmission data generated by the receiver. The data transmission signal information of the receiver is present at the same time. Therefore, the receiving side can analyze the received signal based on the information on the current transmission signal and can analyze the signal only in the two communicating devices, so it can be seen that the communication security is very excellent.

  • This paper presents one method to resolve the end-to-end digital connectivity through 2-wire subscriber loop. This system which consists of the subscriber`s device and the line termination device makes use of the advantages of time compressed multiplexing and modified DPSK. Experimental results show that the transmission range of the lab test covers 2km and that of the field test covers 1.5km.

철도 전차선의 보조전원을 위한 전력선 커플러 연구 (Study on Power Line Coupler for Auxiliary Power to Overhead Line)

  • 철도 전차선 구조에 고주파 전력을 인가할 수 있는 전력선 커플러에 대해 분석하였다. 전차선 구조는 고압의 환경에서 보조전원을 공급하기가 어렵고, 먼 거리까지 전력을 전달하는 방법이 필요하다. 이를 위해 코어를 사용하지 않는 로고스키 코일에 공진을 활용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 조가선, 전차선, 드로퍼로 구성된 간이 전차선 구조를 제작하였고, 여러 사이즈의 커플러를 제작하여 조가선에 연결한 다음 일정 거리만큼 떨어진 두 커플러의 전달 특성을 비교하였다. 가장 성능이 좋은 커플러에 매칭 회로를 적용하여 측정한 결과, 2.5 m 거리에서 53 %의 전달 효율을 나타내었다. 제안하는 방법은 전차선과 같은 특수한 구조물에서 기존의 도선을 활용하여 보조전원을 인가할 수 있음을 보여준다.

  • Talk-Back systems comprised of master-equipment at the control room and slave-equipment at turnouts refer to the intercommunication facilities that optimize mutual communication between maintenance staff on trackside and the control room to facilitate quickness and accuracy of train operation control and its maintenance within depot and on mainlines with turnouts for direction switching of the trains in operation. The weakness lies in additional maintenance costs of cables since the Talk-Back system installed on line 1 along with line 2-4 has a profound effect on the voice quality leading to the attenuation and crosstalk of the system due to the deterioration of cables and environmental factors. This paper discusses the Talk-Back system in a radio communication environment with the application of RF(Radio Frequency) communication system from the wire communication system by cables to ameliorate these problems, and deals with the energy saving environmentally friendly facilities in consideration of replacing power section at salve-equipment with solar batteries benefitting the system in light of energy consumption.

  • The measurement of contact wire uplift in electric railway is one of the most test method to accept the maximum permitted speed of new vehicles or pantographs. The contact wire uplift can be measured for shot periods when pantograph is running in monitoring station. This paper describes the development of two different methods for contact uplift measurement using vision-based system and wireless online monitoring system. Our vision-based system employs a high-speed CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) camera with gigabit ethernet LAN. The development of a real-time remote monitoring system that acquires data from any kind of sensor to be transmitted by wireless communication from overhead line and structure at 25 kV to a computer in catenary system. The proposed two kind of different measurement systems to evaluation for dynamic uplift of overhead contact wire shows promising on-field applications for high speed train such as Korea Tilting Train (TTX) and Korea Train eXpress (KTX).

한전 배전 계통을 이용한 2단장주의 불평형 부하에 따른 중성선 전류의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Neutral Current by Unbalanced Load in Two Step Type Pole using KEPCO's Distribution System)

  • The one step type pole and two step type pole are used in KEPCO's distribution system. The neutral current increases in three-phase four-wire distribution system due to unbalanced load. Usually, power line and communication line are installed at contiguity by effect of topography in Korea. To this end, the damages such as electrostatic induction, electromagnetic induction and harmonic induction generated by induced voltage and current are occured in power line and communication line. This paper calculates the neutral current in KEPCO's distribution system using EMTP by composing various simulated conditions. Also, these results are verified by vector analysis.

표피효과를 고려한 중전압 전력선 채널특성 분석 (Analysis of Medium Voltage Power-Line Channel Characteristics Considering the Skin Effect)

  • 본 논문에서는 고속데이터 전송을 위한 중 전안 전력선로의 특성을 표피효과를 고려한 전송 파라메타로써 채널특성을 분석하였다. 중전압 통신 선로의 특성임피던스는 고주파 개념을 이용한 산란 계수법으로 구하였으며 광대역 특성을 갖는 결합기를 이용하여 0∼30MHz 주파수 대역에서 중전압 전력선의 채널특성을 측정하였다. 통신 선로의 표피효과를 고려하였을 경우 주파수에 대한 선로의 감쇠 특성은 선형적으로 감소하였으나 표피효과를 고려하지 않았을 경우에는 선로의 감쇠 특성은 급격히 감소함은 알 수가 있었다. 임피던스 특성은 주파수가 높을수록 임피던스 크기가 점점 낮아지며 변화량도 적어짐을 알 수가 있었다.
