Development and Test of the Remote Operator Visual Support System Based on Virtual Environment (가상환경기반 원격작업자 시각지원시스템 개발 및 시험)

  • With a remote operated manipulator system, the situation at a remote site can be rendered through remote visualized image to the operator. Then the operator can quickly realize situations and control the slave manipulator by operating a master input device based on the information of the virtual image. In this study, the remote operator visual support system (ROVSS) was developed for viewing support of a remote operator to perform the remote task effectively. A visual support model based on virtual environment was also inserted and used to fulfill the need of this study. The framework for the system was created by Windows API based on PC and the library of 3D graphic simulation tool such as ENVISION. To realize this system, an operation test environment for a limited operating site was constructed by using experimental robot operation. A 3D virtual environment was designed to provide accurate information about the rotation of robot manipulator, the location and distance of operation tool through the real time synchronization. In order to show the efficiency of the visual support, we conducted the experiments by four methods such as the direct view, the camera view, the virtual view and camera view plus virtual view. The experimental results show that the method of camera view plus virtual view has about 30% more efficiency than the method of camera view.

  • We propose a new technique to design an unmaned integrating control system based-on Windows XP version off-Line Programming System which can simulate a dynamic model of robot manipulator in three dimensions graphics space in this paper. The robot with 4 and 6 axes modeled SM5 and AM1 respectively were adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed off-line program. The interface between users and the off$.$line programming system in the Windows XP's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for three dimensions graphics.

  • In this paper, we designed a system that can mine user's traversal patterns from web log files. The system cleans an input data, transactions of a web log file, and finds traversal patterns from the transactions, each of which consists of one user's access pages. The resulting traversal patterns are shown on a web browser, which can be used to analyze the patterns in visual form by a system manager or data miner. We have implemented the system in an IBM personal computer running on Windows 2000 in MS visual C++, and used the MS SQL Server 2000 to store the intermediate files and the traversal patterns which can be easily applied to a system for knowledge discovery in databases.

  • 본 연구는 알루미늄 단조 라인의 가열로 컨베이어에 적용된 6관절 이송용 로봇에 Machine Vision System을 구축 한 것으로 이송용 로봇이 작업 대상물을 적재하기 위한 위치정보를 획득하고 재처리하여 로봇 컨트롤러에 제공하는 비주얼가이던스 기법을 연구하여 이를 적용하였다. 적용된 Machine Vision System이 실제 구동에 있어서 안정함을 확인하였다. Machine Vision System에 적용된 CCD 센서로는 Sony사의 XC-HR50이 적용되었으며 Frame Grabber는 Matrox Meter II 카드가 적용되었다. Machine Vision System 제어기로는 범용PC(2.4Ghz, Windows 2000)를 사용하였으며 제어Software는 Microsoft 사의 Visual Basic 6.0 version을 사용하였다.

  • The envelope is important for sustainable building. Recent commercial buildings are causing thermal degradation and cooling load due to the increase of the area of the windows. Therefore, this research studied kinetic shading system which can improve energy saving and visual environment in summer. For that, this study proposed new shading system and shape considering the orientation of the building and the location of the sun. Based on this, this study analyzed the effectiveness on energy reduction and improvement of visual environment by applying the kinetic shading system proposed in this study. As the results of this study, energy reduction rate was 35% in the east, 22.9% in the south, and 30.7% in the west depending on the application location. Also, as the result of the illuminance analysis, it was found that the effect of achieving uniformity ratio of illumination was considerable.

  • This paper handles the design and implementation of the system for transforming the XML document bated on XML Schema being different in syntax but similar in logic, with using structured differences analysis. In the system, the merge data is generated from the source and destination documents by utilizing data registry and structured differences analysis, and then XML document is generated from the generated merge data. The XML document transformation system is designed that transformation process to the present application system from the different application system gains advantage in the aspect of time, cost, and reliability. The implementation environment of the system is that it is run on IBM compatible PC and it is developed using the software of visual basic 6.0 with the Platform of Windows 2000.

  • In this paper, we present a DirectShow-based retrieval and playback subsystem of DVR(Digital Video Recorder), which supports real-time playback of stored video data and synchronized playback among several video channel data. The effectiveness of out proposed design is verified through experiments with a DVR system implementing the proposed design.
