It is clearly understood that e-navigation is beneficial to prevent collision and grounding of ships. The purpose of this study is to define and present a future ship operation system under the e-navigation environment in order to provide clear direction for the design of Korean e-navigation system. The future ship operation system consists of shipboard navigational system, shore supporting system and maritime communication system. To achieve the objectives of this study, the ship operation system was discussed separately into SOLAS ships and non-SOLAS ships in this study. In SOLAS ships, mariners become a system manager, choosing system presets, interpreting system output, and monitoring vessel response. In small ships and fishing vessels, mariners may enjoy their navigation by using the automatic tracking of ship's position on the portable electronic chart display. The improved bridge design, integrated and harmonized navigational system and single window reporting will reduce significantly the administrative and physical workload of mariners. Mariners can concentrate their attention more on navigational duty under the e-navigation environment. To build an effective Korean e-navigation system, the essential navigational functions and e-navigation services for small ships and fishing vessels must be identified and developed taking into account user needs.

MMI system for strip caster 2 is described. It has been developed as a PC-based MMI system whose data is collected from the VME-based control system by ETHERNET. MMI elements that mimic the caster and its utilities are designed by using commercial program. In order to implement the UDP/IP communication in MMI, UDP/IP manager program with DDE that is a intercommunication protocol in MS-window is developed and connected with MMI mimics. Operator commands in MMI system are carried out immediately in VME system and the responses are displayed on MMI system. The developed MMI system has been proven to be convenient and stable through the operation of the past 5 years.

In a large owner organization, a program manager of multiple maintenance and remodeling projects has experienced increasing scale and complexity of coordinating the M/R projects with in-house technicians who belong to multiple trade shops. This paper proposes a dual-level hierarchical planning strategy that consists of a program master plan in the long-term horizon and a master construction schedule in an operational scheduling window. A rolling horizon approach to the program master plan is proposed to deal with the external uncertainty of unknown stream of project requests. A resource-constrained scheduling algorithm is developed to generate the master construction schedule in a scheduling window. During development of the algorithm, more emphasis is placed on long-term organizational resource continuity, especially flow management of program constraint resources, than ephemeral events of an individual activity and project. Monte Carlo simulation experiments of three scheduling windows are used to evaluate the relative performance of the proposed scheduling algorithm against three popular scheduling heuristics for resource-constrained multiple projects.

In this paper, we present a scheduling method for real-time mobile transaction manager in mobile computing environment. The proposed method checks whether a transaction is executable or not. It is able to by considering not only the deadline of real-time data in mobile hosts. And then, it schedules the real-time mobile transactions by making optimal execution window based on the priority queue, while considering transaction value and deadline. Disconnection with mobile hosts is monitored in selecting the transaction for execution. Using the proposed method reduces the number of restarting times after transaction aborts which is caused by the violation of the validity constraints of real-time data. And in has merits of maximizing the sum of values of real-time mobile transactions which meet the deadline. The performance evaluation demonstrates that the number of committed real-time transactions within the deadline is improved by 20%. This method can be used in real-time mobile transaction manager is such environments as cellular communications, emergency medicine information system and so on.

In the integrated development environments for automatic generation of Java applets and applications tat can be used as Internet and Intranet-based client-server programs, it is essential to interconnect between the function components such as main window, project manager, object inspector, source code editor, and form designer. This paper describes the function components related with the generation of mobile code based client-server program. In then designs and implements a data structure, named 'JCode', for interconnection between the function components. Finally, it discusses the action principles of Two-Way Access technique based on JCode. By applying the proposed JCode based interconnection technique, user can program efficiently using the function components.

Up to now, most the fenestration industry is consisted of glazing and window frame in Korea. According to the Fenestration Energy Consumption Efficiency Rating System and Energy Saving Design Standards of Buildings, u-value of fenestration is defined as the value of calculation with glazing and frame. For this reason, when applying for a building permit, in most cases, the official approval test report of the set of windows and doors is used. Nevertheless, in windows construction progresses, most construction manager take delivery of the glazing and frame separately. For those reason, windows and doors are constructed regardless of the report of the Fenestration Energy Consumption Efficiency Rating System in most construction fields. From now on, the research of the connection method between reality of policy and reality of construction fields should be carried out.

The atrium in the building has many advantages including its aesthetic and functional effect. But the upper part of the atrium has the thermal problem of overheating due to insolation through the window. But natural ventilation aided buoyancy effect can be a solution to make comfortable indoor environment. Proper design of openings is very important to improve thermal environment in the atrium. In this study, thermal evaluations were performed to improve thermal environment in the atrium. Indoor thermal environment of an atrium at Seoul was measured in the field and simulated with Computational Fluid Dynamics( CFD) code. The turbulent flow model adopted is $K-{\varepsilon}$ model. The results of computer simulations are compared with the measurements at the point in the atrium. In order to improve the indoor ventilation environment of the atrium, thermal environment evaluations of six alternatives were conducted. After evaluations of the results, the design guidelines of an atrium are suggested.

What Ubiquitous means "being or existing anywhere, anytime"in Latin, which is, in other words, the users are able to access the network no matter where they are, what kind of network or computer terminals they use. This paper focuses on the implementation of hardware system. The first part of the sytem is the sensor node which transmits the sensor data from node to ARM11 platform through the Zigbee network wirelessly. The other part of the system is the ARM11 platform which receives and displays the sensor data. ARM11 platform is sink node. The ARM11 platform is based on ARM11 architecture and ported with Linux OS. Qtopia is used as Window Manager in order to make applications. The highly efficient ARM11 processor, S3C6400 MPC is the main part of the ARM11 platform.

The intensification of the competition among container terminals has led to important affect such as, decision making or aggressive intervention of customers for terminal operation. Therefore, in case of developed ports, the large transition of port operation is composed of the press of terminal customer than decision making of terminal manager. Overall port tariffs for using terminal is made out by the conference of terminal customers than the supreme headquarters of terminal operation, and the related investment of terminal has been made according to requisition or proposal of customers. Therefore, among decision making problems that shippers, shipping companies, and freight forwarder among decision making problems that shippers, shipping companies, and freight forwarder face, the choice of the container terminal is one of the most important problems. So, the decision making of the users seems to have a significant impact on the competitive power of container terminals. The main objective of this study is to design port marketing strategy for strengthening the competitive power of container terminals. The results of this study were found as follows: Firstly, port authority should establish user-oriented operation policy of terminal as the means of activating the opinion window, using terminal monitoring system(TMS). Secondly, terminal planning and development of government should be made to minimize the lead time, to induce the civil capital and to utilize the economies of scale. Thirdly, port authority needs to endeavor to analyze the information of competing foreign terminals as well to promote the concentrated marketing for the terminal on the users, to train the expert and to develop the new port charge system. Fourthly, to improve the competitive power of the container terminal, Port Authority should optimize the subsystems related to port marketing, far more these systems should be joined organically to work effectively. Finally, port authority system should be introduced, Namely, port should have the enterprise inclination as well s the public inclination.

Based on the status of which the research is not active and the analysis is not progressed, the purpose of this study life up pride, value and professional ethic of private security guard. Also, through this research, it offers the effect on professional ethic, organizational trust and job satisfaction. The data collection and survey are taken by the private security business members who work staff member or manager. They are surveyed with convenience sampling that among 500 data, 46 data which are thought to be answered insincerely or lack are excluded, so the total of 454 answered data are included in the final analysis. After coding and input process, the data is analyzed by factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis using window SPSS 19.0 version. Significance level is 0.05. The conclusion that has been made based on the statistical analysis results are the followings. Professional ethic has a positive impact on organizational trust, job satisfaction. The educational training of the company is connected job satisfaction resultantly. Also the professional ethics education will improve the ability of the individual. Finally, the professional ethics raises a job satisfaction. Also, Organizational trust has a positive impact on job satisfaction. This the while to agree with a research result about the other type of business worker who is researched. In order raising the job satisfaction, the effort for raising a organizational trust is necessary.
