The Relationship between Neuropathic Pain and Glycemic Control, Self Management in Type II Diabetes Mellitus Patients (당뇨환자의 신경병증 통증과 혈당조절정도 및 자가관리간의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between diabetic neuropathy, and glycemic control, self-management in type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM) patients. This was a cross sectional descriptive study and data were collected between May 10 and 31, 2011 using a questionnaire and medical record. The participants were 108 with DM who were treated at the endocrine medical outpatient department. The data were analyzed Pearson's correlation with SPSS WIN program. The mean scores of neuropathic pain and self-management were $9.3{\pm}1.4$(Range 0-14.64) and $5.40{\pm}0.76$(Range 1-7), respectively. There were 33.3% of the patients whose HbA1c levels are higher than 7.5%. Neuropathic pain was positively correlated with glycemic control(r=.18, p=.035), and was negatively correlated with self-management(r=-.19, p=.023).

  • This study is to investigate on the influence of mental health and job satisfaction on perceived job stress of financial companies. The subjects of research were total 132 working at the financial company in T and J city Gangwon Province from September 20 to October 15, 2012. The survey instrument used was 43-item scale for evaluating financial worker KOSS and 18-item scale for mental health, 12-item scale for job satisfaction. Data was analyzed by using SPSS Win17.0 program, ANOVA, t-test, pearson's correlation coefficient, Multiple regression analysis. In a comparison of factors of Job stress and mental health demonstrated positive correlation and showed significantly. Job satisfaction demonstrated negative correlation and showed significantly. Also, for the financial workers solve the Job stress and support positive significant in there's job satisfaction, it need to nursing intercession to supply more better service and financial environment.

The Influence of Emotional intelligence and Professional self-concept on Retention intention in Nurses (간호사의 감성지능과 전문직 자아개념이 재직의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigates the influence of emotional intelligence and professional self-concept on retention intention in nurses. The participants were 170 nurses from three hospitals in B city. Data were collected with structured questionnaires, from May 7 to May 30, 2019, and analyzed by applying descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression, using the SPSS/WIN 24.0 program. Our results reveal the level of emotional intelligence to be 4.82(7), professional self-concept 2.61(4), and retention intention 5.47(8). We observed that the retention intention positively correlates with emotional intelligence and professional self-concept. The factors influencing retention intention were professional self-concept (β=.456, p<.001), age (β=-.228, p<.001) and holidays (β=.197, p=.002). This regression model determines the intention retention to be 35.9%. We propose that it is necessary to develop and make available programs embracing factors that prevent and reduce retention intention in nurses.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of organizational culture types of hospital and nursing experience on organizational citizenship behaviors of nurses that examined the fitness of a path model. The subject of this study were 368 nurses who were working at 3 hospitals. The data were collected by structured questionnaire from May 1 to June 28 of 2013. Data were analyzed using on SPSS Win 20.0 and AMOS 18.0 program. The results of this study organizational culture types of hospital and nursing experience explained 32% of the variance for organizational citizenship behaviors of nurses. Innovative-oriented organizational culture types of hospital were important factors for affecting organizational citizenship behaviors of nurses. Therefore the nurse manager must establish the strategies to improve who nurses' creative and innovative ideas accepted by the culture to change.

Effects of a Simulation-based Training for Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support on the Knowledge and Competence for Nursing Students (시뮬레이션기반 전문심장소생술교육이 간호학생의 지식, 수행능력에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the simulation-based training for advanced cardiovascular life support on the knowledge and competence of nursing students. Method: The subjects were 22 nursing students, who ungraduated D university. Data were analyzed with SPSS/Win 18.0 program. Results: There was a significant improvement in knowledge and competence after receiving than before training. Conclusion: Simulation-based training for advanced cardiovascular life support is effective strategy for increasing the knowledge and competence of nursing students and will can provide basic data in development of standardized emergency nursing education programs. Further research is needed in the comparative analysis about various learning of advanced cardiac life support education and a longitudinal study of maintenance the knowledge and competence.

The Effects of Climacteric Symptoms and Hardiness on Mid-Life Crisis (중년남성의 갱년기증상, 강인성이 중년 위기감에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the degree of climacteric symptoms, hardiness and middle-life crises. The survey period was from 25 May to 10 September, 2013 with workers in small business workplaces in Jeonnam. The data was collected by a self-questionnaire and SPSS Win 18.0 was used for data analysis. As an accounting hierarchical analysis result, middle-life crisis was affected by exercise, and the relationship with the spouse and child with an explanatory power of 25.1%. Additional input climacteric symptoms showed more explanatory power (21.1%). In addition, exercise, education, relationship with the spouse, relationship with child, income, and climacteric symptoms were predictors of a mid-life crisis with explanatory power of 42.7%. Therefore, to successfully overcome mid-life crises, a range of nursing interventions should be provided to make a positive self-control and intimate relationship with the spouse of middle-aged men.

Influence of Sleep Quality, Depression and Fatigue on Job stress of Geriatric Hospital Workers (노인요양병원 근무자의 수면의 질, 우울, 피로가 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향)

  • The aim of this study was to identify the influences of sleep quality, depression and fatigue on job stress of geriatric hospital workers. The subjects were 175 workers from 6 geriatric hospitals. Data were collected on March, 2015 using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed by using SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. The job stress was negatively correlated with sleep quality(r=-.364, p<.001), positively correlated with depression(r=.376, p<.001) and fatigue(r=.646, p<.001). The multiple regression analysis revealed that the most powerful predictor of job stress was fatigue(${\beta}=.581$, p<.001). These results indicate that fatigue affect job stress of the geriatric hospital workers. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare tailored fatigue management program and working conditions that can reduce job stress.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self-efficacy and occupational value in major satisfaction in dental hygiene students. The subjects were 236 dental hygiene students in Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheongnam-do. They filled out self-reported questionnaires that consisted of general characteristics of subject, self-efficacy, occupational value, and major satisfaction. Data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 18.0 and Amos. V18. Sophomore's curriculum satisfaction and perceive satisfaction were higher than freshman's. Group of high self-efficacy was higher than average and low groups in major satisfaction. Group of internal occupational value was higher than group of external and neutral occupational value in curriculum satisfaction, perception satisfaction, and total major satisfaction. The most effective factor on major satisfaction of dental hygiene students was self-efficacy.

Effect of Self-esteem and Life satisfaction on Quality of life of Elderly School Program Participants (노인대학의 프로그램 참여 노인들의 자아존중감과 생활만족도가 삶의 질에 미치는 영향)

  • The aim of this study was to examine the effect of self-esteem, life satisfaction and quality of life of older people's in an elderly school program. A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted with a survey of 269 older people in 3 elderly schools at G city from November 29, 2013 to 18. The data was analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression using the SPSS WIN 20.0 program. As a research finding, an analysis of the quality of life between of the self-esteem (r=-.338, p<.001) and life satisfaction (r=-.507, p<.001) revealed significant correlations. The life satisfaction was the significant factor influencing the quality of life (${\beta}$=-.512, p< .001) and this variable explained 25.1% of the quality of life. The findings of this study should be integrated into elderly health and care services in the community and older people in elderly school programs to improve the quality of life through the systematic developments of intervention programs for health care.

Drinking Motivation, Daily Stress, and Problem Drinking Behavior of Female University Students (여대생의 음주동기, 생활스트레스, 문제음주행위)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among drinking motivation, daily stress and problem drinking behavior, and to identify the influencing factors of problem drinking behavior in female university students. The participants were 259 female students in university. The data was collected for 1 months from Oct. 28 to Nov. 28, 2013 in a university-located Y city. Questionnaires were used to measure the levels of the drinking motivation, daily stress, and problem drinking behavior. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, stepwise regression, and the IBMSPSS/WIN 19.0 program. The predicting factors for problem drinking behavior were drinking motivation, type of residency and smoking. The variables explained the problem drinking behavior by 35.7%. A survey of the various influencing factors of problem drinking behavior will be required and a drinking reduction program for female university students is needed.
