조건부가치측정법을 활용한 해양레저선박의 지불의사 금액 추정 (Estimation of the Economic Value of Marine Leisure Ship using Contingent Valuation Method)

  • 해양레저산업의 활성화를 위해 해양레저선박의 신규노선 개설을 위해서 적절한 수익성을 사전에 검토하기 위한 경제적 가치 추정이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 경기바다 이용객들을 대상으로 신규 해양레저선박에 대한 지불의사를 파악하고 이를 통한 경제적 가치를 추정하고자 한다. 이를 위해 조건부가치측정법을 이용하여 지불의사금액을 추정하고, 이용요금 지불에 영향을 미치는 유의한 요인들에 대해 분석하였다. 연구결과 평균 지불의사금액은 25,510원이 추정되었으며, "섬 방문경험"과 "이동수단에 대한 만족도" 요인등이 지불의사에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다.

  • 소비자 관점에서 친환경 소비는 여전히 다양한 심리적 불편함을 유방할 수 있는 주제로서, 심리적 불현함은 부정적인 소비자 심리 메커니즘을 통해 친환경 소비 의사를 낮추는 작용을 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 친환경 제품에 대한 심리적 불편함이 이들이 해당 친환경 제품에 대해 갖는 추가가격 지불 의향에 미치는 영향력을 분석했다. 또한 이러한 관계에서 소비자의 제품군 관여가 갖는 조절효과를 분석했다. 총 407명의 미국 소비자들을 대상으로 진행된 온라인 설문에 의해 얻어진 소비자 응답 데이터를 바탕으로 한 통계적 분석 결과, 친환경 소비에 대해 갖고 있는 사람들의 심리적 불편함의 정도는 이들이 친환경 제품에 대해 갖는 추가가격 지불 의향에 직접적인 유의한 영향을 미치지는 않으나, 심리적 불편함이 추가가격 지불 의향에 미치는 영향력은 소비자의 제품군 관여 정도에 따라 유의하게 차이가 나는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • 본 연구는 모바일 환경의 핵심 서비스로 부각되고 있는 모바일 IPTV 서비스의 수익 개선 조건으로서 지불의사(willingness to pay)의 결정 요인들에 대해 구조방정식 모형을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 서비스의 다양성은 유용성에, 서비스의 품질은 유용성과 용이성에 영향을 미쳤고, 둘째, 용이성이 태도와 만족 요인에 영향을 미쳤고, 셋째, 태도와 만족은 모두 지불의사에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과는 모바일 IPTV 서비스의 수익 개선에 있어 QoS 등 품질 보장과 UI/UX 등 용이성 개선이 필수적임을 의미한다. 이 연구는 도입단계인 모바일 IPTV 서비스에 대한 선도적 연구로서 서비스의 구성 및 가격 전략, 서비스 결합 판매 전략을 제안하는 데 의의가 있다.

Analyzing Consumer Behavior in Responses to Delivery Fees in the Chicken Delivery Market: A Survey-Based Approach

  • Purpose: This study aims to explore the factors affecting the willingness to pay for chicken delivery services targeting college students. The results of this study provide insights for improving food delivery market services and developing effective marketing strategies. Research design, data and methodology: A survey employing a questionnaire was administered to students at Chungbuk National University over a 10-day period from May 15 to May 24, 2023. Out of 232 distributed surveys, 218 were considered suitable for analysis. Binomial logistic regression analysis was conducted with the willingness to pay for delivery fees contingent on chicken price, serving as the dependent variable. Results: The main findings are following. First, as the price of chicken increases, the percentage of individuals willing to pay more than 2,000 won for delivery services decreases. Second, regardless of chicken price, males exhibit a lower tendency to bear higher delivery service fees compared to females. Lastly, those who lack awareness of their recent delivery fees or have previously paid charges exceeding 3,000 won demonstrate a greater propensity to pay higher delivery service fees compared to those who have paid fees below 3,000 won. Conclusions: It is essential for chicken sellers to identify key customer segments such as single-person households, and offer pricing and services tailored to their needs and preferences.

Ability and Willingness to Pay for Waste Water Management Services: A Case Study in Lampung Province, Indonesia

  • This study aims to estimate and calculate the ability to pay (ATP) and the willingness to pay (WTP) of households for wastewater management services (IPAL), the relationship between ATP and WTP, and factors that affect WTP. The location of IPAL construction is in the area of Lampung Province, Indonesia. There are 158 selected households for this study. The study employs a purposive sampling method in which the characteristics of households are classified into 3 categories - former households, newcomer households who had come to this area and have no experience of using water supply services, and newcomer households who have experience of using water supply services such as PDAM. The results of this study are, ATP and WTP values were not always in the same direction. The highest ATP was for newcomer households with experience of water supply services but the WTP was the lowest, on the contrary, the lowest ATP was for former households, but the WTP was the highest. Furthermore, experience and cognitive reference are positively correlated with WTP. Service quality perception, education/knowledge of respondents about environmental conservation, and level of income correlate with WTP.

Forest Certification Scheme; Perceptions and Willingness-to-pay of Consumers and Manufacturers in South Korea

  • This study was carried out to examine the perceptions of consumers and forest product manufacturers in South Korea about forest certification and to identify their willingness-to-pay for certified products by personal interviews. Sixteen percent of interviewees knew and heard about forest certification. However, fifty-six percent of interviewees had an intention to participate in forest certification system. The consumers' group can be described in relative terms as the male of 30 age bracket. The average price premium charged to consumers was higher than one paid to manufacturers, and thus manufacturers are willing to include the additional costs for certified products.

  • This paper has shown that Linear Induction Motor(LIM) and Rack and pinion type are efficient in selecting railway routes and systems after considering time, geo-spatial characteristics and the floating population by benchmarking domestic and overseas mountain trains. The benefit-cost analysis through the use of modeling on user's willingness to pay is conducted as a means that provides access to tourism resources. this paper concludes that the benefit-cost varies in response to changes in the amount of user's willingness to pay by age. It is expected that this paper serves as a reference data in the introduction stage of the mountain train project implemented by central or local governments with tourism resources in mountainous areas as the mountain train has turned out to be economically efficient while various potential benefits that have not been included in the benefit-cost analysis need to be quantified and remain to be studied further.

보육시설 친환경농산물 급식에 대한 지불의사 분석 (An Analysis on Willingness to pay for Environmental-Friendly Agri-Product Food Service of Child-care Centers)

  • The objectives of this study were to analysis willingness to pay (WTP) for environmental-friendly agri-product (EFAP) food service of child-care centers. To analysis preference about EFAP and WTP, parent' survey were conducted residing in Asan city. The sample size of the survey is 143 respectively. As a result, most of parents really recognized that EFAP is good for their children as well as they want to change food material from general agri-product to EFAP. Moreover, additional willingness to pay fur EFAP food service is 8,360 won on average per month. Therefore, environmental-friendly agri-policy to be more focused on the promotion of the consumer's interests and food security needs.

  • The purpose of this paper was to revise menu management in Korean restaurants of first class hotels in Cheju. This study was conducted to examine and analyze menu mixes using menu engineering and surveys of customer willingness to pay for price adjusting. The results were as follows. Those restaurants in this study need menu re-engineering and price adjustment for sales enhancement. And this paper suggested some recommendations. They have to develop new menu focusing on customer value based menu management. Furthermore, customer behavior analysis must be applied to menu engineering and new menu development.

노인장기요양보험 재가급여 수급자의 구강위생서비스 요구도와 비용지불의사 (Demand and willing to pay for oral hygiene service in long-term care insurance of elderly)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to identify the demand and willingness to pay for oral hygiene services among elderly people with long-term care insurance. Methods: Our study was a cross-sectional analysis. Subjects comprised 126 elderly individuals from long-term home-care centers. A total of 28 centers were selected through convenience sampling from among 78 centers in ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$. For analysis, semi-structured questionnaires that required about 20-30 minutes to complete were used. Analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 software. Results: The overall demand for oral hygiene services was 44.4%, and willingness to pay was 31.0%. Thirty-three people (58.9%) of elderly those who have demand for an oral hygiene service were willing to pay for the service, and 64 people (91.4%) who did not have a demand were not willing to pay for it. Among those with partial dependence on brushing, 65.6% had demand for oral hygiene services and 50.0% were willing to pay costs. Among basic livelihood beneficiaries, 69.6% were willing to pay for oral hygiene services; general subjects and relievers were less willing to pay. Conclusions: The overall demand for oral hygiene services among elderly people was 44.4%, and the willingness to pay was as low as 31.0%.
