뽕나무 품종별 오디의 화학적 특성 (Chemical Characteristics of Mulberry Syncarp)

  • Chemical characteristics of mulberry syncarp were investigated six mulberry varieties, including Subongppong, Daeryukppong, Kuksang 20, Chongilppong, Cataneo and a wild variety. Water content of mulberry syncarp was 78.5∼85.0%and sugar degree of Kuksang 20 was the highst among six varieties. Anthocyanin content of Chongilppong mulberry syncarp was 282.42mg% and Kuksang 20 was lower 13% than Chongilppong mulberry fruit. Also Daeryukppong and wild variety were higher 11% respectively. GABA content of wild variety was higher than other varieties. In flavonol glyconsides analysis, rutin content was the highest in Cataneo, isoquercitrin content was in a wild variety, guaijaverin and quercitrin content was the highst in Chongilppong respectively.

  • Present work was attempted to investigate the karyotype, the reciprocal translocation of chromosomes and the geographical distribution of three Paeonia species grown wild in Korea with the aim of elucidating the taxonomical affinities of the species. Prior to conducting these works, it was required to clarify the karyotypes of the cultivated varieties of P. albiflora which has been grown since long time ago in this coundtry for medicinal value. Present report is part of the series of karyotype studies now being extensively conducted using varieties (or lines) of P. albiflora collected across the country. Arm ratio, number of trabant, kind of trabant chromosomes and karyotype formula are different among the six cultivated varieties. Excepting one, five varieties used had invariably trabants on D and E chromosomes while no trabant was found in C chromosome.

뽕나무 품종별 오디가공제품의 관능적 특성 (Sensory Characteristics of Mulberry Fruit Jam & Wine)

  • Sencory characteristics of mulberry fruit jam and wine were investigated by according to mulberry fruit varieties, including Daeryukppong, Kuksang 20, Chongilppong and a wild mulberry variety. Palatability ranks of mulberry fruit jam by according to mulberry fruit varieties were Kuksang 20(34.5%), Chongilppong(32.8%), Daeryukppong(17.2%) and Wild variety(15.5%). In the sensory characteristics, we obtained 6.32 points as total mean point. In case of mulberry fruit wine, panels were favorits the Chongilppong best. But, in the sensory characteristics, we obtained low points(=5.47) as total mean point. From these results, it seems that alcohol content was very important factor. We selectd two desirable mulberry fruit varieties(=Chongilppong and Kuksang 20) for manufacturing materials.

경상도 별미김치의 표준화 연구 (Standardizations of Traditional Special Kimchi in Kyungsang Province)

  • This study was conducted to standardize ingredient ratio and preparation method of mafor traditional special kimchies in kyungsang province, korea. There were about 35 varieties of special kimchi in Kyungsang province. Six varieties of them such as burdock kimchi, wild leek kimchi, green thread onion kimchi, perilla leaf kimchi, Godulbaegi(Korean wild lettuce) kimchi, and red pepper leaf kimchi were selected, because they tasted good and the physiological functions of their main ingredients were excellent. The ingredient ratios of the selected special kimchi were standardized through surveying hereditary preparation of some families in kyungsang province and using the literatures including cooking books. The standardized ingredient ratio of the burdock kimchi was 15.1 pickled anchovy juice, 6.8 red pepper powder, 5.7 garlic, 2.2 ginger, 18.0 rice flour paste, 13.5 green thread onion, and 1.2 sesame seed in proportion to 100 of burdock. The standardized preparation step of the selected special kimchies was similar except some preprocessing methods of main ingredients. The diagonally cut-up burdock ws usually parboiled or soaked in salted water, then it was mixed with the other ingredients. Wild leek and green thread onion were usually pickled with salt or pickled anchovy juice. Sometimes the green thread onion pickled was dried in the sun. General preprocessing of perilla leaf, Korean wild lettuce, and red pepper leaf was soaking them in salted water for about 5-10 days. Sometimes red pepper leaf was heated with steam and dried in the sun, then it was mixed with the other ingredients.

  • The Illam district, situated in the extreme North Eastern part (Latitude 26.58N and 87.58E Longitude) of Nepal, is a hot spot for floral diversity. The study of wild edible plants of this region was an attempt to highlight the types of wild flowering plants found there and mode of use by the people of the Illam hills. In this respect, a survey of natural resources of some of the representative regions of the district was undertaken and more than 74 major varieties of plant species were found to be used frequently by the people of the hills. The rich diversity occurring in Dioscoriaceae, Moraceae, Rosaceae, Myrtaceae, Poaceae, Urticaceae and Arecaceae provided the wild angiospermic species commonly used by the people of the hills.

  • 담배 각종병해저항성 품종육성의 기초자료를 얻기 위하여 우리나라 재래종에 대한 몇가지 병해에 대한 저항성검정을 하였다. (1) 역병에는 우방초, 오심엽초만이 중정도의 저항성이 있으며 수안초, 우설초, 광초 등이 그 다음이고 그 외품종은 모두 나병성이였다. DB 101, $H_2$, BY 4 등은 재래종보다 저항성이였다. (2) 흑근병에는 목기초, 우방초, 오심엽초가 중정도의 저항성이며 우설초, 수안초, 회초가 다음이며 향초는 BY 4만은 못하나 재래종중에서 가장 나병율이 높았다. (3) 야화병에는 대부분 나병율이 높은 편이나 흑초, 회초, 우방초가 약간 저항성이 인정되고 그 외품종은 거의 나병성이다. (4) 적성병에는 오심엽초가 고도의 저항을 엿보이며 우방초, 향초, 목기초 등이 중정도이고 광초, 우설초는 나병성이였다. 대조품종인 BY4나 Beinhart 1,000-1보다는 모두 나병율이 낮았다. (5) CMV-Y에 대하여서는 향초가 고도의 저항성이 인정되고 회초, 가자초가 저도이기는 하나 저항성이 있는 듯하다. (6) Blue mold병에 대에 하여는 공시품종 모두가 고도의 나병성임으로 이에 대한 저항성품종의 발굴이 절실히 요망된다.

현재하는 한국 재래성의 형질특성 (Characteristics of Korean native strains in the domesticated silkworm, Bombyx mori)

  • The objective of this research was to characterize of the silkworm that might be recognized to the Korean native strains. The eleven strains of Korean race used in this study, which is cultured in Korea and Japan seri-cultural research organs. Most of Korean varieties were three molting and univoltine, comparatively longer larval duration than the trimolter general. The egg characters of varieties showed short-eliptic shape and dark brown egg color except for a few varieties which shows greenish dark brown. Also, most of varieties were showed the plain(p) and moricaud( $p_{M}$) in larval markings. Moric marking of the varieties also consist of innumerable dark grayish brown lines and dots, though somewhat darker and lighter than that of the wild silkworm, Bombyx mandarina. Cocoon characters variations of varieties were seen in the size, color and shape. 8 varieties were colored cocoon, i.e., yellow, greenish yellow and light green etc., the others were white cocon. The shape of cocons were consisted of constricted shallowly in the middle and attenuated at one or both ends of cocoon, i.e., spindle. The results of this study is sufficient evidence that Korean strains were shown as the one of regional origin strain of domesticated silkworm such as the Chinese and Japanese etc.c.

횡성군 일대에서 채취한 야생뽕의 형태학적 특성 및 오디의 효능 (Morphological Characteristics and Physiological Effects of Mulberry Leaves and Fruits with Wild Varieties)

  • 우리나라의 논둑, 밭둑 및 야산에서 자라고 있는 뽕나무 자원의 육종소재화 및 생리활성물질 이용 효율을 높이고자 횡성군 일대의 뽕나무와 오디를 지역별.그루별로 채취하여 뽕나무의 형태적 특성을 조사하였으며, 냉동건조시킨 야생오디의 추출물 및 분획물을 조제하여 고지혈증을 유발시킨 흰쥐에 투여함으로써 지질대사 및 간장기능에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 1. 강원도 횡성군 일대에서 채취한 야생종(12점) 뽕나무의 엽선, 엽형, 엽각, 거치의 형태적 관찰 결과, 산상형(Morus bombycis) 백상형(Morus alba) 계통이 혼재함을 알 수 있었으나. 공시개체 중 노상형 계통은 존재하지 않았다. 2. 야생종 뽕나무의 오디 당도는 5.1~22.7 Brix %로서 지역별.그루별 차가 심하였다. 수집된 개체 중 6개체는 16Brix % 이상이었다. 3. 냉동건조시킨 야생오디 3kg으로부터 얻은 85% MeOH 추출물의 수율은 60.2%(1,805g)이었으며, MeOH 추출물로부터 얻은 Hexane, BuOH 및 Water 분획물의 수율은 각각 2.8%(50 g), 4.6%(82 g) 및 92.3%(1,666g)이었다. 4. 야생오디의 추출물 및 분획물 투언가 흰쥐의 지질대사 및 간장 효소에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 콜레스테롤을 투여하여 고지혈증을 유발시킨 대조군의 체중 증가량은 정상군보다 12% 높았으나 MeOH 추출물과 물 분획물 투여군의 체중은 각각 6%, 3%만이 증가하였다. 총콜레스테롤, HDL-콜레스테롤/총콜레스테롤비 및 중성지질함량을 측정한 결과, MeOH 추출물과 물 분획물 투여군은 총콜레스테롤과 중성지질 함량을 감소시켰는데, 총콜레스테롤 함량은 각각 정상군의 71%, 70% 수준으로, 중성지질 함량은 각각 정상 군의 92%, 90% 수준까지 회복되었다. 또한 물 분획물 투여군은 GPT, GOT 및 LDH 활성에 있어서 각각 정상군 수준으로 회복되었다.

Cereal Resources in National BioResource Project of Japan

  • The National BioResource Project of Japan is a governmental project to promote domestic/international research activities using biological resources. The project has 27 biological resources including three cereal resources. The core center and sub-center which historically collected the cereal resources were selected for each cereal program. These resources are categorized into several different types in the project; germplasm, genetic stocks, genome resources and database information. Contents of rice resources are wild species, local varieties in East and Southwest Asia & wild relatives, MNU-induced chemical mutant lines, marker tester lines, chromosome substitution lines and other experimental lines. Contents of wheat resources are wild strains, cultivated strains, experimental lines, rye wild and cultivated strains; EST clones and full-length cDNA clones. Contents of barley resources are cultivar and experimental lines, core collection, EST/cDNA clones, BAC clones, their filters and superpool DNA. Each resource is accessible from the online database to see the contents and information about the resources. Links to the genome information and genomic tools are also important function of each database. The major contents and some examples are presented here.
