  • In recent years, research on smart factory wireless mobile communication technology that wirelessly remotely controls utilities is being actively conducted. The Wi-SUN(Wireless Smart Utility Network) Alliance proposed Wi-SUN protocol structure suitable for building a platform such as a smart factory as a new wireless communication standardization standard based on EEE802.15.4g/e. It analyzes the performance of the IEEE802.15.4e CSL(Coordinated Sampled Listening) Mode MAC(Media Access Control) in terms of latency and looks at considerations for efficient operation.

  • In this paper, we design a gateway protocol architecture for building an IoT-based smart factory. A smart factory system consists of several terminal devices, gateways and servers, and connects them through a wireless network. The terminal device collects information from various sensors and transmits the information to the server through the gateway. The terminal device controls the actuator by receiving a control signal according to a control algorithm of the server or by manual operation. Therefore, the gateway system connects Wi-SUN, a wireless smart utility network, and the Internet, serves as a Wi-SUN coordinator, and is equipped with Modbus-TCP to interwork with SCADA.

The Wi-SUN(Wireless Smart Utility Network) Alliance proposed Wi-SUN protocol structure suitable for building a platform such as a smart factory as a new wireless communication standardization standard based on EEE802.15.4g/e. It analyzes the performance of the IEEE802.15.4e CSL(Coordinated Sampled Listening) Mode MAC(Media Access Control) in terms of power consumption and looks at considerations for efficient operation. Although CSL-MAC can dramatically reduce power consumption at the receiving end in an asynchronous manner, it has been found that the transmitting end has a disadvantage in that power consumption occurs due to an excessive wake-up sequence.

  • In recent years, research on smart factory wireless mobile communication technology that wirelessly remotely controls utilities is being actively conducted. The Wi-SUN (Wireless Smart Utility Network) Alliance proposed a Wi-SUN protocol structure suitable for building a platform such as a smart factory as a new wireless communication standardization standard based on EEE802.15.4g/e. It analyzes the performance of the IEEE802.15.4e Receiver Initiated Transmission(RIT) Mode Media Access Control (MAC) in terms of throughput and latency, and looks at considerations for efficient operation. RIT mode shows that as the check interval becomes longer, delay time and throughput decrease. It was shown that as the traffic load increases, if the RIT check interval is shortened, the delay time can be shortened and throughput can be increased. RIT mode has the advantage of low power consumption and has neutral characteristics between IEEE802.15.4 and CSL mode in terms of delay time and throughput.

  • 우리나라는 현재 코엑스, 백화점 같은 대형 건물들이 늘어나고 있다. 대형 건물은 실내 구조가 복잡해서 방문하는 사람들이 원하는 길을 찾기 어렵다. 기존 실외에서 길을 찾아주는 네비게이션의 발달은 단말기와 스마트폰의 발달과 함께 성장하였고, 모든 사람들이 사용할 수 있는 대중적인 서비스다. 하지만 기존 네비게이션에 위치 측정 방법인 위성 GPS신호는 실내에서는 사용이 불가해 실내 위치 측정을 위해 Wi-Fi, Beacon, Magnetic Field등 다른 기술을 사용하여 실내 위치 측정을 해야 한다. 그중에서도 이미 설치되어 있는 것을 사용하기 위해 Wi-Fi의 신호 값인 RSS값을 활용하였고, 일정하지 앉은 RSS값을 Kalman Filter와 EH Filter로 보정하여 정확한 실내 위치 측정이 된다는 것을 실험을 통해 보였다.

  • In a wireless smart utility network communication system, an asynchronous low power MAC is standardized and used according to IEEE 802.15.4e. An asynchronous MAC called RIT (Receiver Initiated Transmission) has a characteristic in which delay time and power consumption are greatly affected by a check-in interval (RIT period). By waking up from sleep every check-in interval and checking whether there is data to be received, power consumption in the receiving end can be drastically reduced, but power consumption in the transmitting end occurs due to an excessive wakeup sequence. If an excessive wake-up sequence is reduced by shortening the check interval, power consumption of the receiving end increases due to too frequent wake-up. In the RIT asynchronous MAC technique, power consumption performance according to traffic load and operation of check-in interval is analyzed and applied to Wi-SUN construction.

  • In this paper, Satellite DMB/WiBro antenna and PCS/WiBro antenna improving indoor coverage for mobile services are designed and fabricated. Satellite DMB/WiBro bands repeater antenna and PCS/WiBro bands repeater antenna are proposed as a simple radiator with loading capacitor to generate LHCP(Left Hand Circular Polarization). The proposed antenna for Satellite DMB/WiBro and PCS/WiBro bands communication are fabricated by copper plate uploader type and substrate uploader type. The designed and fabricated antenna has a bandwidth of 70MHz at 1.816GHz~1.886GHz and bandwidth of 107MHz at 2.247GHz~2.354GHz. Maximum gain of radiation pattern was up to 5dBi.

  • 본 고에서는 WiBro Evolution에 대하여 개관한다. WiBro Evolution은 현재 전 세계적으로 상용화되고 있는 WiBro 시스템의 진화형태로, 향후 더욱 다양해질 사용자 및 서비스 제공자의 요구사항을 반영한 4세대 통신시스템을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 WiBro Evolution시스템은 기존 WiBro시스템과의 호환성이 유지되어야 하며, ITU에서 4세대 통신시스템 표준으로 추진중인 IMT-advanced의 요구사항을 만족시킬 수 있어야 한다. 이러한 표준개발 과정에서 WiBro Evolution의 기술적 목표를 달성할 수 있도록 다양한 기술들이 반영될 예정이다. 이러한 기술들로 전송기술, MIMO기술, 셀 경계성능 향상 기술, Self configuration 기지국 기술, 수직 핸드오버 기술 등이 고려되고 있다.

  • A Mobile IP is considered for the efficient mobility function in IEEE 802.16/WiBro environment. However, during the deployment of WiBro, only some of the ACRs(Access Control Router) can support the Mobile IP function. Therefore, a WiBro network can not support the mobility function for the mobile node. In this paper, we implement an overlay-based Mobile IP function and measure the performance through a field trial. Moreover, we evaluate the possibility of commercial deployment and suggest areas that need to be improved.

  • 스마트폰의 빠른 보급과 Wi-Fi 의 대중화로 모바일을 이용한 응용 컨텐츠 개발이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 공공 장소에서 사용할 수 있는 컨텐츠 기술로 모바일 프린팅 시스템을 개발하였다. 모바일 프린팅 시스템은 NFC 태그가 장착된 시스템으로 Wi-Fi 접속이 가능한 공공의 장소에서 무선 공용 프린터를 바로 이용할 수 있고, Wi-Fi 검색 시간과 비밀번호 입력 단계를 생략하여 태그에 모바일 기기를 접촉하는 것만으로 접속 문제를 해결할 수 있다.
