In this study, the piezoelectric ceramics PZT powder was synthesized by Wet-Dry combination method. And the flexible 1-3-0 type composites were fabricated with piezoceramic PZT and Eccogel polymer matrix embedded 3rd phase. Dielectric constant of 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. Thickness mode coupling factor k/sub t/ which was comparable with single phase PZT ceramics and mechanical quality factor Qm were about 0.65 and 6, respectively. These composites are considered as a good candidates for broad-band type transducer applications. The acoustic impedance of 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. Therefore, these composites would be better used for hydrophone applications.

In this study, the piezoelectric ceramics PZT powder was synthesized by Wet-Dry combination method. The flexible 1-3-0 type composites were fabricated with piezoceramic PZT and Eccogel polymer matrix embedded 3rd phase. This paper represents the acoustic properties with various 3rd phase wt.%. The acoustic impedance of 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. The pulse-echo response of transducer fabricated with 1-3-0 type composites was better than solid PZT transducer.
We report on the fabrication of an AlGaAs/InGaAs/GaAs pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (PHEMT) using a dielectric-defined process. This process was utilized to fabricate $0.12\;{\mu}m\;{\times}\;100 {\mu}m$ T-gate PHEMTs. A two-step etch process was performed to define the gate footprint in the $SiN_x$. The $SiN_x$ was etched either by dry etching alone or using a combination of wet and dry etching. The gate recessing was done in three steps: a wet etching for removal of the damaged surface layer, a dry etching for the narrow recess, and wet etching. A structure for the top of the T-gate consisting of a wide head part and a narrow lower layer part has been employed, taking advantage of the large cross-sectional area of the gate and its mechanically stable structure. From s-parameter data of up to 50 GHz, an extrapolated cut-off frequency of as high as 104 GHz was obtained. When comparing sample C (combination of wet and dry etching for the $SiN_x$) with sample A (dry etching for the $SiN_x$), we observed an 62.5% increase of the cut-off frequency. This is believed to be due to considerable decreases of the gate-source and gate-drain capacitances. This improvement in RF performance can be understood in terms of the decrease in parasitic capacitances, which is due to the use of the dielectric and the gate recess etching method.
A theoretical method is developed to analyze the free vibration of an elastic annular plate in contact with an ideal liquid. The displacement potential functions of the contained liquid are expressed as a combination of the Bessel functions that satisfy the Laplace equation and the liquid boundary conditions. The compatibility condition along the interface between the annular plate and the contained liquid is taken into account to consider the fluid-structure coupling. The dynamic displacement of the wet annular plate is assumed to be a combination of dry eigenfunctions, allowing for prediction of the natural frequencies using the Rayleigh-Ritz method. The study investigates the effect of radial liquid boundary conditions on the natural frequencies of the wet annular plate, considering four types of liquid bounding: outer container bounded, outer and inner bounded, inner bounded, and radially unbounded. The proposed theoretical method is validated by comparing the predicted wet natural frequencies with those obtained from finite element analysis, showing excellent accuracy. The results indicate that the radial liquid bounding effect on the natural frequencies is negligible for the axisymmetric vibrational mode, but relatively significant for the mode with one nodal diameter (n =1) and no nodal circle (m' = 0). Furthermore, the study reveals that the wet natural frequencies are the largest for the plate with an inner bounded cylinder among the radial liquid boundary cases, regardless of the vibration mode.

Added ratio of 8YSZ powder and organic compounds (solvent, plasticizer, dispersant, binder) properly. It manufactured electrolysis membrane by wet process that make slurry and dry process that do not use organic compounds. In the case of wet process, harmony combination and method of organic compound are an importance element in slurry manufacture. This slurry did calcine at temperature of 140$^{\circ}C$ in Furnace and manufactured electrolyte disk by Dry pressing method. Like this, manufacturing disk sintered at temperature of $1300^{\circ}C,\;1400^{\circ},\;1500^{\circ}C$ in Furnace and completed electrolysis membrane. Confirmed change of crystal structure and decision form through analysis of density, SEM, XRD according to change of sintering temperature, and considered relation with ion conductivity.
The resilient modulus (MR) of various pavement materials plays a significant role in the pavement design by a mechanistic-empirical method. The MR determination is done by experimental tests that need time and money, along with special experimental tools. The present paper suggested a novel hybridized extreme gradient boosting (XGB) structure for forecasting the MR of modified base materials subject to wet-dry cycles. The models were created by various combinations of input variables called deep learning. Input variables consist of the number of W-D cycles (WDC), the ratio of free lime to SAF (CSAFR), the ratio of maximum dry density to the optimum moisture content (DMR), confining pressure (σ3), and deviatoric stress (σd). Two XGB structures were produced for the estimation aims, where determinative variables were optimized by particle swarm optimization (PSO) and black widow optimization algorithm (BWOA). According to the results' description and outputs of Taylor diagram, M1 model with the combination of WDC, CSAFR, DMR, σ3, and σd is recognized as the most suitable model, with R2 and RMSE values of BWOA-XGB for model M1 equal to 0.9991 and 55.19 MPa, respectively. Interestingly, the lowest value of RMSE for literature was at 116.94 MPa, while this study could gain the extremely lower RMSE owned by BWOA-XGB model at 55.198 MPa. At last, the explanations indicate the BWO algorithm's capability in determining the optimal value of XGB determinative parameters in MR prediction procedure.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the friction coefficients between abutment materials and clasp materials, and to an estimation formula for retention force. The coefficients of friction between three clasp materials and four abutment materials were measured under various conditions, polished and sandblasted and wet and dry. The measurement was repeated for each combination up to a total measurement of 1200 times. Estimation formula for retention force is measured as sum of two terms, which the one time is proportional to the product of friction coefficient ${\mu}$ and undercut u and the other term is proportional to u-squared. Two proportional coefficient were obtained by least square method. The results are as follows: 1. Friction coefficients were ranged from 0.08 to 0.53 under various conditions. 2. Friction coefficients of non-metal abutment materials are greater in wet conditions than dry conditions. 3. Friction coefficients of sandblasted clasp against abutment are greater than that of polished clasp. 4. Clasp retention force can be estimated with the model as F=$F_d(3.0{\mu}u+1.5u^2/h)$ with minor error.
Effect of fixation methods and relaxation treatment on the flame retardant(FR) and physical properties of MDPP/HMM treated cotton weft-knitted fabrics were studied. Combination of four different fixation methods - relaxation, swelling agent treatment, pad dry cure fixation, and wet fixation - were applied to flame retardant finish of cotton weft-knitted fabric with MDPP/HMM. As the results, 1. Swelling agent and wet fixation method helps FR agent penetrate the fiber efficiently. Interlock showed relatively higher values of LOI than single jersey. 2. Interlock showed relatively higher values of bending rigidity(B), shear rigidity(G) and coefficient of friction(MIU) than those of single jersey before and after flame resistant treatment. 3. An increase in internal volume of cotton fiber by relaxation treatment increased the bending rigidity(B), shear rigidity(G) and compressional energy(WC). 4. The cotton weft-knitted fabric treated wet fixation, which crossliked FR agent efficiently, showed higher bending rigidity, shear rigidity(G) and lower compressional energy(WC). Retention of swelling ability of cotton weft-knitted fabrics treated with MDPP/HMM, which increased the internal volume of cotton weft-knitted fabric, showed lower bending rigidity.
This paper deals with a hydroelastic vibration analysis of two rectangular plates partially coupled with a liquid, which is bounded by two plates and two rigid side walls. The wet displacement of each plate is assumed to be a combination of the modal functions of a dry uniform beam with a clamped boundary condition. As the liquid is assumed to be an ideal liquid, the displacement potential satisfying the Laplace equation is determined so that the liquid boundary conditions can meet the requirements at the rigid surfaces and the free liquid surface. The wet dynamic modal functions of each plate are expanded by using the finite Fourier transform to obtain an appropriate form of the compatibility requirement along the contacting surfaces between the plates and the liquid. The liquid-coupled natural frequencies of the plates are derived by using the Rayleigh-Ritz method. Finite element analyses using commercial software are carried out to verify the proposed theory. It is observed that the theoretical method agrees excellently with the three-dimensional finite element analyses results. The effects of the liquid depth and the liquid thickness on the normalized natural frequencies are investigated to identify the dynamic characteristics of the liquid coupled system.
