As a step preliminary to the factor-analysis of a child-rearing attitude scale under construction, its preliminary form containing a total of 368 self-answered questions was administerd to 88 married women with one or more children in the grade school age. all graduates of colleges and in possession of a home telephone and a house, twice from one week apart. The test-retest correlation coefficients, calculated for each test item based on the subject's choice among the three response alternatives on two test ocasions, ranged from .80 to .10. The cut-off point of r=.41 or lower led to the elimination of 48 items. As a point of incidental interest, the rate of response concordance. The namber of subjects giving the same categroy response on two occasions was calculated for each item and it was correlated with its test. retest correlation coefficient. The two different indices of item test-retest reliability were found not related to each other. Empirical evidence, as well as rational justifications, was presented to show that the correlation coefficient is the better of the tow indices of item test-retest reliability.

This study fulfilled analysis of startup characteristics of Turbo pump unit-Gas generator open loop test from the viewpoint of simulation. The test results were investigated and the calculated results were compared to test results. The curve for RPM developing predicted by simulation agreed well with test result. The slope of transient combustion pressure of gas generator correspond with test result.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to analyze perceptions of well-being and characteristics of beauty care tendencies among women, in order to provide basic data for the establishment of a well-being and beauty management direction. Methods : The domains examined for perceptions of well-being included spirit-oriented, material-oriented, self-oriented, and appearance-oriented values. The domains examined for beauty care tendencies consisted of appearance interest, social factors, and beauty care behavior. A survey of 320 women was conducted. In the analysis of the data, t-test and analysis of variance were used to examine the relationship between perceptions of well-being and beauty care tendencies based on sociodemographic variables. A multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the factors affecting beauty care tendencies. Results : The analysis of the perceptions of well-being among the participants indicated that they tended to be more aware of the mental aspects of well-being and seldom recognized well-being as having material aspects. Therefore, they recognized the concept of well-being as something mentally oriented. The analysis of the factors affecting beauty care tendencies indicated that the participants were most greatly influenced by spirit-oriented values, and the more appearance-oriented values were emphasized, the more focus there was on beauty care. Conclusion : This study found that well-being is a luxury, and traditional beauty care involving care of the mind and body can be effectively utilized if the beauty care is based on the recognition of mentally oriented well-being.

This study was conducted in order to be applied to basic data for enhancing dental hygiene students' psychological well-being. Data analysis was carried out T-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis by using SPSS version 19.0. The order of factors that affect the psychological well-being from the most to the least was sufferance(β=.327) and strength(β=.294) of resilience, support from friends of social support(β=.238), optimistic of resilience(β=.109), major satisfaction(β=.090), academic year(β=.084), and deep sleep(β=.078). Based on the result, this study suggests a need for developing programme to increase students' psychological well-being and a follow-up study.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of women's life-style on image evaluation of clothing styles, and on their selection of clothing styles by situations. The subject of investigation was 441 women above 20 living in Daegu. 6 types of clothing styles including classic, casual, elegant, dramatic, romantic, and mannish and 7 social situations including shopping near house, shopping in a busy street, cultural center, wedding ceremony, eating out, alumni meeting or fraternity meeting, and couples meeting were used for this study. Data analysis was performed using SPSS package, which included factor analysis, reliability test, cluster analysis, frequency, percentage, ANOVA, and $\chi$$^2$-test. The results are summarized as follows; 1. Adult women could be classified into 5 groups including activist, in-activist, the leisured well-off, the wholesomely economical, and the appearance showing-off by their life-styles. 2. The clothing image according to the 6 clothing styles was different. In the image evaluation of each clothing style by life-style groups, in-active group thought classic style most functional and leisured well-off group, mannish style. Elegant style and dramatic style were estimated positively by the leisured well-off and the appearance showing-off. 3. Selection of clothing style differed according to situations. More formal the situation was, more formal style tended to be selected and for less formal situation, active and mannish style was selected.

The main purpose of this study is to obtain linear models for the design of automatic flight controller in order to operate the Light Sport Aircraft as unmanned air vehicle. Flight test equipments installed on the aircraft to acquire flight test data are described and maneuvers for practical speed calibration are introduced. Parameters for the linear models of lateral and longitudinal motion are estimated by the Output error method as well as trim data analysis using the flight test data. Simulated data using the estimated parameters is shown to agree well with the measurement data. Estimated parameters obtained for several flight conditions can be used to improve the aerodynamic database of the simulation program.

A computer controlled 5 axis ultrasonic testing system is developed in order to detect flaws in special parts with complex shape. The various kinds of ultrasonic test can be performed automatically using computer program which was developed by DHI(Daewoo Heavy Industries Ltd.). By use of this computer program, the detector location can be programed and the amplitude signal of echo can be processed digitally. The test results can be plotted graphically on a high resolution display monitor in real time base. The test data can be also saved in magnetic memory devices(HDD or FDD) as well as in the form of hard copy through color printer. The computer software contains c- scan, c+a scan processing programs as well as statistical analysis for test data.

A multidimensionality detecting procedure DETECT, based on conditional covariances between items, is extended and refined to deal with polytomous item data as well as binary one. A large body of simulation study shows extraordinary performance of DETECT in both enumerating degrees of multidimensionality in a test and discovering dimensionally distinctive item clusters. Real data study also provides very meaningful results, making DETECT a strong dimensionality assessment tool for the test data analysis.

We consider the problem of testing for parameter changes in time series models based on a cusum test. Although the test procedure is well-established for the mean and variance in time series models, a general parameter case has not been discussed in the literature. Therefore, here we develop a cusum test for parameter change in a more general framework. As an example, we consider the change of the parameters in an RCA(1) model and that of the autocovariances of a linear process. We also consider the variance change test for unstable models with unit roots and GARCH models.
