최근 웹에 대한 관심이 집중되면서 정보의 양이 지수적으로 증가하고 있다. 웹 사용자들은 정보 검색에 있어서 많은 어려움을 겪게 되었다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 정보검색(Information Retrieval) 시스템의 웹 환경으로의 적용이나 개인 적응형 에이전트(Personal Adaptive Agent)를 이용한 정보 여과(Information Filtering)에 대한 연구가 진행되어왔다. 본 논문에서는 BISAgent(Bookmark Information sharing Agent) 시스템이 사용자에게 효과적인 정보 검색을 제공함을 설명한다. BISAgent는 여러 사용자의 북마크 정보를 공유하여 협동적 정보 여과기법(Collaborative Filtering)을 이용한 협동적 웹 브라우징(Collaborative Web Browsing)을 수행한다. 이 시스템의 성능을 평가하기 위해 검색 결과의 개수를 통한 정보 여과의 양적 측면과 통계적 방법을 이용하여 정보 추천(information recommendation)의 정확성을 실험하였다.

컴포넌트 소프트웨어는 고객 요구에 맞는 다양한 소프트웨어의 신속한 개발과 강력한 재사용성이라는 특성으로 소프트웨어 개발업체는 물론 최종 사용자들의 만족도를 크게 높여줄 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹 브라우징 도메인 분석을 통하여 CBD를 가장 효과적으로 지원해주는 차세대 방법론인 카탈리시스를 이용하여 WBC(Web Browsing Component)를 설계하고 COM(Component Object Model) 기반으로 구현함으로써 특화된 컴포넌트(SWF Display)를 확보할 수 있었고, 또한 웹 브라우징 컴포넌트의 설계공정을 제시함으로써 패키지 컴포넌트 설계의 한 모델을 제시하였다.

본 논문에서는 인터넷상에 존재하는 네트워크의 특화된 주소인 지정된 URL로 Address Mapping기법을 이용하여 Peer 상호간의 파일공유 및 검색이 가능한 Peer-to-Peer프로그램을 구현하여 보았으며, 이를 응용한 하나의 제안으로써 원격지 상에 존재하는 내 컴퓨터의 저장드라이브를 같은 방법의 URL ID로 제어하여 Server운영체제 없이 개인용 PC를 자료공유용 Server로 활용할 수 있는 방법을 구현하였다. 따라서 기존의 P2P프로그램의 기본기능과 비교하여 Web Blower상에서 원격지 개인 PC의 자료실을 손쉽게 운영할 수 있는 Web Service가 가능하도록 설계하였고, 인터넷 사용자가 손쉽게 파일 검색 및 공유, 저장, 원격제어가 가능하도록 UI에 초점을 맞추어 시스템을 구현하였다.

The electronic commerce site (EC site) has become an important marketing channel where consumers can purchase many kinds of products; their access logs, including purchase records and browsing histories, are saved in the EC sites' databases. These log data can be utilized for the purpose of web marketing. The customers who purchase many product items are good customers, whereas the other customers, who do not purchase many items, must not be good customers even if they browse many items. If the attributes of good customers and those of other customers are clarified, such information is valuable as input for making a new marketing strategy. Regarding the product items, the characteristics of good items that are bought by many users are valuable information. It is necessary to construct a method to efficiently analyze such characteristics. This paper proposes a new latent class model to analyze both purchasing and browsing histories to make latent item and user clusters. By applying the proposal, an example of data analysis on an EC site is demonstrated. Through the clusters obtained by the proposed latent class model and the classification rule by the decision tree model, new findings are extracted from the data of purchasing and browsing histories.

This paper proposes a Video Browsing Service that provides both the video content retrieval and the video browsing by the real-time user interface on Web. For the scene segmentation and key frame extraction of video sequence, we proposes an efficient scene change detection method that combine the RGB color histogram with the ${\chi}2$ histogram.

In this paper, we propose a video browsing service that provides both video content search and video browsing through a real-time user interface on the web. We propose an efficient scene change detection method that combines an RGB color histogram and a 𝛘² histogram for scene segmentation and key frame extraction of image sequences.

Since the third generation (3G) mobile communication service has been launched by most mobile communication operators in Korea, the portion of data service in mobile communication service becomes one of the most important factors in mobile communication service market. In past mobile communication market, most mobile communication operators made their profit mostly from voice communication service. However, the portion of profit from data service has gradually increased based on both video phone call and mobile Internet service. In this situation, LG telecom launched the full browsing mobile Internet service. This service provides a new type of mobile Internet service platform which enables to access the World Wide Web using mobile browsers, so we generally access the Web using web browsers in the desktop computer. Under the open network structure of mobile Internet like situation, it is very important to analyze the factors which can affect the competition between mobile communication service companies. So, in this paper, we first present the current state of full browsing service, followed by the expectation of its growth potentials and barriers. Then, we analyze the advantages and disadvantage of LG telecom as a first-mover and SK telecom/KTF as followers. Finally, based on this analysis, we predict the future competition among these companies and the market.

Mobile phones can access the wired website using mobile Full Browsing service. But the number of mobile websites is quite small compared to domestic Internet domain, and is mainly concentrated in some large businesses. The small businesses and individuals have a problem that is difficult to develop mobile Web interface, because they are lack of the technology for usability and compatibility. This paper proposes the small basic interface elements that are considered usability and based on relevant standards and can easily be applied in the industry. The proposed basic interface elements consist of 33 elements for overall behavior, navigation, contents, page definition and user input.

Most document consists of primary content and supporting material, such as footnotes, detailed explanations, and illustrations, and the related supporting materials are linked as hypertext on web document. However the content of hypertext links Is appeared in the new windows on present web browser. Then the user will leave the primary material, may lose the entire context, and must have some difficulties to return to the primary context when the interest disappears. Using the technique for fluid links, we can solve these problems easily. If the mouse is putted on the link, the related material is presented in between lines or at margin maintaining the context of primary material. In this paper, we introduce the various browsing techniques using fluid links, analyze the forms and the features, and then we propose the best way to implement inJava.

The purpose of this work was to study library website users' actions by tracking their behavior, determining popular content, and identifying browsing patterns and subsequent improvement of access to popular content. The study of behavior models and the use of web analytics has led to the emergence of solutions that improve the usability and functionality of the State Public Scientific-Technological Library of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPSTL SB RAS) website. These are: identifying user tasks as they are developed, conducting user testing to better understand the event. tracking data and collecting additional data to verify the effectiveness of the changes made. Examining data on the duration of the session and the number of visits will help determine the goals of user visits and develop new recommendations. Usability analysis and testing will make it possible to compare the data obtained using web analytics and the perception of the library site by the users themselves. Recommendations are offered to libraries on the use of data on the real behavior of the target audience of the library website to improve access to library resources and services, increase their relevance and improve information services.
