This paper developed a secure web-based digital notary system. The system conforms to international standards, and gives users very good accessibility to it. The technologies and the application systems for timestamp-related services are not yet popularized, but they are potentially meaningful to many kinds of areas such as ecommerces, digital right managements, and internet mail systems. The digital notary system uses the timestamp requests and responses which conforms to rfc 3161. The system supports secure communication between web-based notary server and its clients by using SSL(Secure Socket Layer), and use nonces for prevention of replay attacks.

Purpose: This study was done to develop a web-based diagnostic evaluation program for nurses to prevent malpractice liability. Methods: A comprehensive review of the literature and 9 specialist interviews were used to search for learning goals and content for protection for nurses from malpractice. Data on needs for learning goals were collected from 56 hospital nurses who agreed to complete a self-report questionnaire. The diagnostic program was evaluated between September 2008 and August 2009 by 35 new hospital nurses using an application of the web-based program evaluation tools by Chung (2000). Results: A comprehensive review of the literature and interviews were used to search for learning goals and content. The evaluation program was composed of the 73 questions for diagnostic evaluation under 23 learning goals and 6 grand learning goals which included the principles of law, patient's rights, legal responsibility, patient's safety, regulation on nursing practice and patient's rights protection. Evaluation of the program showed that the mean for program evaluation was 3.43 (SD=.37). Conclusion: This diagnostic evaluation program could be an efficient method for teachers and learners to improve nurses' behavior in protecting the patient's rights and preventing malpractice claims.

For tendering three-dimensional map information using Internet, firstly Web server is considered, but generally the source code of commercial application is not open to the public and approaching the source technology is difficult. So, there are many limitations of the technology development. In this study, to solve these problems, we have introduced Linux operating system with open source system and utilized VRML to be able to practice three-dimensional spatial data on Web browser, and constructed the Internet three-dimensional map server. In the result, the constructed server is economical because there is no cost except the hardware, and the active maintenance and management is accomplished by using the opened source code.

As construction projects become bigger, PMIS is being used as a project collaboration tool for project participants, owners, designers, inspectors and contractors. As the data type used in PMIS is usually text and most PMIS have no standard information classification system, there is a problem with data usability, such as the capacity for data search and analysis. BIM uses Objects and Properties, and this information might be used for relating with other construction information. As such, BIM technologies can be used with PMIS to enhance the data usability. The web environment is very convenient for multiple users, but the problem is that the data transfer speed is low for big files such as BIM model files. In this study, we suggested a Virtual Technology (VT) application to enhance the performance of BIM data exchange in PMIS, and tested and analyzed its efficiency when it is used to integrate BIM and PMIS in the web environment. The results of the study showed that VT can be used to enhance the efficiency of BIM data exchange in the web environment.

All academic information on the web or elsewhere has its creator, that is, a subject who has created the information. The subject can be an individual, a group, or an institution, and can be a nation depending on the nature of the relevant information. Most information is composed of a title, an author, and contents. An essay which is under the academic information category has metadata including a title, an author, keyword, abstract, data about publication, place of publication, ISSN, and the like. A patent has metadata including the title, an applicant, an inventor, an attorney, IPC, number of application, and claims of the invention. Most web-based academic information services enable users to search the information by processing the meta-information. An important element is to search information by using the author field which corresponds to a personal name. This study suggests a method of efficient indexing and using the adjacent operation result ranking algorithm to which phrase search-based boosting elements are applied, and thus improving the accuracy of the search results of personal names. It also describes a method for providing the results of searching co-authors and related researchers in searching personal names. This method can be effectively applied to providing accurate and additional search results in the academic information services.

Amplification by universal consensus sequences in pathogenic bacterial DNA would allow rapid identification of pathogenic bacteria, and amplification of genus-specific and species-specific sequences of pathogenic bacterial DNA might be used for genotyping at the genus and species levels. For design of probes for molecular diagnostics, several tools are available as stand-alone programs or as Web application. However, since most programs can design only a few probe sets at one time, they are not suitable for large-scale and automatic probes design. Therefore, for high-throughput design of specific probes in diagnostic array development, an automated design tool is necessary. Thus, we developed a Web-based automatic system for design of genus-specific and species-specific probes for pathogen detection. The system is available at http://www.miprobe.com.

In this paper, we have selected traveling algorithms of Line-Tracer as the focused learning elements with the PBL-based programming instruction method. Line-Tracer traveling algorithm programming has been simulated using the Scratch EPL. Development of robot web courseware such as Line-Tracer can create an effective educational environment and also provide solutions for lack of environmental conditions, such as time or spatial factor restrictions and excessive expense issues; these are major obstacles to developing robot programming education. Finally, we analyzed the effects on growth of student's logical thinking and problem solving abilities by demonstrating the Scratch application courseware to the field of elementary education.

PURPOSES : Efficiency Improvement of a public road construction project management work using the development of a real-time remote site monitoring system METHODS : In this study, we developed the remote site monitoring system using a web camera for road construction projects in the RCMA(Regional Construction Management Administration). We can be monitored a construction progress and a weak point of the situation in real time using this. To achieve this, we tested about 10 road construction projects ordered by RCMA. Then, we verified a applicability for the site monitoring system in future. RESULTS : Take advantage of the remote site monitoring system consists of the Construction CALS System, one of the business systems used in the part of the MLTM(Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs) institution-agencies. Was configured to be served through the "Construction CALS System" of "Construction Management System(Contractors)" and the "Construction CALS Portal System". Through this, Benefit analysis through a pilot application of the 10 road construction sites and developing considerations and "Guide for visual information processing equipment installation-operating in construction sites"are presented. CONCLUSIONS : Through the establishment of remote site monitoring system can improve the efficiency of construction management services. In addition, Various disasters and calamities, accidents and illegal construction will be prevented in advance is expected. This is expected to further improve the quality of the facilities.

Grid portal services provide more flexible research environment by overcoming time and space limit of existing application-based grid services. However user's requirements such as user interfaces are not clear during development cycle and changed frequently. Therefore it is necessary to reduce the cost for creating and maintaining user interfaces of grid services. In this paper, we suggest an object-oriented user control model which allows easier development of user interfaces and increases code reusability by abstracting objects from presentation layer of web. In this model, structure of presentation pages can be described more clearly and implementation of actions is simple and easy.

In this paper, the development of Power Line Communication(PLC) device for white goods is presented. The commercial PLC chip-set is used for the modem device of white goods. As a PLC device for white goods, an ARM720 u-controller and a windows CE 3.0 are adopted. UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) that is applied for home network middle ware in implemented system. In addition, application programming and emulator for home appliance are implemented using UPnP standard ver 1.0.
