A computer supported collaborative system provides with a shared virtual workspace over the Internet where its remote users cooperate in order to achieve their goals by overcoming problems caused by distance and time. VRMMS (Virtual Reality Molecular Modeling System) [1] is a VR based collaborative system where biologists can remotely participate in and exercise molecular modeling tasks such as viewing three dimensional structures of molecular models, confirming results of molecular simulations and providing with feedbacks for the next simulations. Biologists can utilize VRMMS in executing molecular simulations. However, first-time users and beginners need to spend some time for studying and practicing in order to skillfully manipulate molecular models and the system. The best way to resolve the problem is to have a face-to-face session of teaching and learning VRMMS. However, it is not practically recommended in the sense that the users are remotely located. It follows that the learning time could last longer than desired. In this paper, we propose to use Second Life [2] combining with VRMMS for removing the problem. It can be used in building a shared workplace over the Internet where molecular simulations using VRMMS can be exercised, taught, learned and practiced. Through the web, users can collaborate with each other using VRMMS. Their avatars and tools of molecular simulations can be remotely utilized in order to provide with senses of 'being there' to the remote users. The users can discuss, teach and learn over the Internet. The shared workspaces for discussion and education are designed and implemented in Second Life. Since the activities in Second Life and VRMMS are designed to realistic, the system is expected to help users in improving their learning and experimental performances.

The Internet of Things (IoT), which is emerging as a future economic growth engine, has been actively introduced in areas close to our daily lives. However, there are still IoT security threats that need to be resolved. In particular, with the spread of smart homes and smart cities, an explosive amount of closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) have been installed. The Internet protocol (IP) information and even port numbers assigned to CCTVs are open to the public via search engines of web portals or on social media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter; even with simple tools these pieces of information can be easily hacked. For this reason, a big-data analytics system is needed, capable of supporting quick responses against data, that can potentially contain risk factors to security or illegal websites that may cause social problems, by assisting in analyzing data collected by search engines and social media platforms, frequently utilized by Internet users, as well as data on illegal websites.
In order to present wireless Internet users with previously created HTML contents and applications, it is essential to research and develop the technology to efficiently convert HTML documents into documents and further provide a way to edit the WML documents. This paper describes the design and development of a WML converter and WML editor The WML converter can convert HTML pages in real time into WML documents that are suitable for the WAP environment. The WML editor enables creation and modification of WML documents in a WYSIWYG fashion. These tools enable the previous services based on HTML documents to be easily adapted to the wireless environment. The developed WML converter can be installed on a proxy server to support real time conversion of Web contents. It is superior to other converters in terms of the various image formats it supports and the improvements on the conversion of the link and frame tags. Users can continuously browse via links and also view frames. Automatic dividing of large WML documents into WML cards md user defined conversion rules are also supported. The WML editor is also integrated with the converter and provides an integrated WYSIWYG environment for creating, converting and publishing WML documents.
Objectives The present study examines the domestic trend of Failed Back Surgery Syndrome (FBSS) in Korea. Methods The studies on FBSS were investigated via searching Korean web databases. As a result, 41 research papers were found and they were analyzed according to the year of publishment, the titles of journals which have the papers, the types of study, the definition of FBSS, employed treatment trials, and the instruments for assessment. Results The number of the research papers on FBSS published was increased since 2005. The studies on FBSS were mainly published in the Korean Journal of Pain. The most popular type of the studies were the case report and the most studies defined FBSS as persistent or recurring low back pain with or without sciatica after receiving spine surgeries. Various surgical and conservative treatments were employed in the studies and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) were used as primary means of assessments. Conclusions Reviewing the domestic trends of studies on FBSS and examining the definition of FBSS is essential for the future studies because there is no clear criteria for making diagnosis of FBSS. Therefore, the further studies on FBSS need to be more elaborate with the definition of FBSS, and it is also necessary to apply more assessment tools for the better understanding of FBSS from various aspects. Ultimately, this review is anticipated to benefit the future in-depth study on FBSS.

Objectives The purpose of this review is to investigate studies of Scolopendrid pharmacopuncture and the evidence of it's effects in order to suggest a better research method in the future. Methods We retrieved numbers of clinical studies about Scolopendrid pharmacopuncture from 7 Korean web databases, using key words such as 'Scolopendrid', 'Scolopendrid AND Pharmacopuncture'. This study had been conducted from 1st May 2013 to 31th July 2013. Controlled studies and case studies were only used for this study. Clinical studies that we picked from the databases were classified according to the diseases that those studies are about, and from these clinical studies, we are to research what has to be improved generally in clinical researches. Results 18 case studies, 4 controlled studies had been under research. Scolopendrid pharmacopuncture has a therapeutic effect mainly in musculoskeletal and neurological diseases such as herniated intervertebral disc, carpal tunnel syndrome, swollen leg, feeling of cold on legs, wrist ganglion, lateral epicondylitis, radial nerve palsy, cervical myelopathy, cauda equina syndrome, postauricular pain; as an early symptom of Bell's palsy, pain of popliteal part, gout, plantar fasciitis, cellulitis, frozen shoulder, pain of hip adductors. However objectivity and reliability of the Scolopendrid pharmacopuncture studies still remains controversial. Conclusions It has been suggested that there are positive effects of Scolopendrid pharmacopuncture therapy in treating specific diseases (especially neuromusculoskeletal diseases). However, this narrative review can't conclude and prove that the Scolopendrid pharmacopuncture has positive effectiveness on these diseases unlike systematic review. So, in order to put Scolopendrid pharmacopuncture therapy to use for many kinds of diseases in more reasonable ways, it is essential to build well-designed clinical research tools. In the future, abundant case studies, more follow-up trials and randomized controlled trials based on the korean medicine should be done to use Scolopendrid pharmacopuncture for a clinical purpose.
Objectives The purpose of this review is to analyse the trend in papers related with Korean Medicine Treatment after musculoskeletal disorder surgery. Methods We reviewed Korean Medicine papers by searching Korean web databases 'Korea Traditional Knowledge Portal', 'Scientific and Technological Information Integration Service (NDSL)', 'Academic Research Information Service (RISS)', 'Korea Medical Informati on Portal (OASIS)'. We classified the papers by the year of publishment, the title of journals, the type of study, surgery region, chief complain after surgery, main treatment, periods after surgery, assessment for outcomes. Results 1. Korean Medicine treatment after musculoskeletal disorder surgery has received more attention than in the past and there are attempts to do various studies besides the case reports. 2. 41 research papers were divided in to 3 original articles, 3 review articles, 35 case reports. But almost presented a low level of evidence. 3. Pain was the most common symptom after the musculoskeletal disorder surgery. Pain should be the primary goal of Korean rehabilitation treatment after musculoskeletal disorder surgery. 4. Assessment tools for outcome were concentrated in questionnaries, VAS and NRS. In order to evaluate better, it is necessary to evaluate the overall condition of the patient such as the quality of life evaluation and patient satisfaction. Conclusions In this study, we expect that the development and clinical application of Korean rehabilitation treatment program after musculoskeletal disorder surgery will be actively pursued.
At present, the most common cause of cancer-related death in women is breast cancer. In a large proportion of breast cancers, there is the overexpression of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2). This receptor is a 185 KDa growth factor glycoprotein, also known as the first tumor-associated antigen for different types of breast cancers. Moreover, HER2 is an appropriate cell-surface specific antigen for passive immunotherapy, which relies on the repeated application of monoclonal antibodies that are transferred to the patient. However, vaccination is preferable because it would stimulate a patient's own immune system to actively respond to a disease. In the current study, several bioinformatics tools were used for designing synthetic peptide vaccines. PEPOP was used to predict peptides from HER2 ECD subdomain III in the form of discontinuous-continuous B-cell epitopes. Then, T-cell epitope prediction web servers MHCPred, SYFPEITHI, HLA peptide motif search, Propred, and SVMHC were used to identify class-I and II MHC peptides. In this way, PEPOP selected 12 discontinuous peptides from the 3D structure of the HER2 ECD subdomain III. Furthermore, T-cell epitope prediction analyses identified four peptides containing the segments 77 (384-391) and 99 (495-503) for both B and T-cell epitopes. This work is the only study to our knowledge focusing on design of in silico potential novel cancer peptide vaccines of the HER2 ECD subdomain III that contain epitopes for both B and T-cells. These findings based on bioinformatics analyses may be used in vaccine design and cancer therapy; saving time and minimizing the number of tests needed to select the best possible epitopes.

The vector shaped object is generally very long (hundreds or thousands of kilometers) and very narrow (10-100 meters). Image mapping techniques and tools for these objects should be totally different from the traditional area-based targets. Acknowledging these unique characteristics of the vector shaped object, a motion picture mapping system has been developed by combining internet GIS technology with airborne video. In particular, integration between airborne video and digital maps took advantage of each component, and enabled the landscape structure to be visualized, interacted with and deployed all on the Web. The motion picture maps provided a completely new means for disseminating information for area-wide landscape in a visual and interactive manner to the general public while digital map with location information revealed successfully the major parameters that influence an area-wide spatial structure in the study area. The remote video approach breaks down the usual concept of image mapping in a conventional cartography. As a result, the research findings have established the new concept of 'internet airborne video mapping for vector shaped object', proposed as an initial aim of this paper. It would playa crucial role in improving the quality of public information service if the mapping system is operationally introduced into the Government since the highly user-friendly moving picture provides a completely new means for disseminating spatia) information for vector shaped object.
Recently varieties of user groups are formed as the number of people using cyber chatting gets increased and there are many changes in the range and field of its use. But because most of the cyber chatting systems are being operated to enlarge the additional sonics use, the using environments are stereotyped. And as its function is being various as well, it can not provide with a user-centered environment. So this thesis compares and analyzes the problems derived from the usability evaluation for solving the problems in using cyber chatting systems, and presents the guidelines of emotion-intended user interface design for improving the usability as the result of the analysis. First, this study investigates cyber chatting systems as a means of web communication tools through the existing literatures. Secondly, this study finds out the problems in using them through satisfaction evaluation, heuristic evaluation, performance evaluation, and observation evaluation and presents a way of solving the provisional problems in using them as the analysis of the result of usability evaluation. And this was proceeded for the purpose of applying and activating the better usability evaluation of cyber chatting systems later. Through the usability evaluation, it is found out that the structuralization of chatting function, the screen visibility by the size and arrangement of the compositional elements of a screen, and the improvement and development of the proper metaphor use of images and functions by the communication environment are necessary.
The objective of this study was to identify the quantitative traits loci(QTL) for meat quality traits in pigs. Three-generation resource population was constructed from a cross between Korean native boars and Landrace sows. The resource population including founders, $F_1$ and $F_2$ was genotyped for 23 microsatellite markers on chromosome 7. The sex average total length of linkage map on chromosome 7 was estimated 154.6 cM. Meat quality traits including meat pH, meat color, drip loss, shear force, heating loss, crude fat, crude protein, crude ash and water content in muscle were collected from $F_2$ animals. For the QTL mapping, we used $F_2$ QTL Analysis Servlet of QTL express for web-based QTL mapping tools(http://qtl.cap.ed.ac.uk/). The QTLs for CIE-a and CIE-b on SSC7 were significantly detected at 1% and 5% chromosome-wide level, respectively.
