초등학생을 위한 웹기반 비만관리 프로그램 개발 (Development of a Web-Based Obesity Management Program for Elementary School Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop a 12-week web-based obesity management program for elementary school students and to evaluate the appropriateness of the developed program from experts and users. Methods: The development of a web-based obesity management program proceeded through the stages of analysis, design, development, and evaluation. After the application of the web-based obesity management program, the evaluation of appropriateness were conducted for knowledge of obesity, obesity control behavior and satisfaction of the program. Collected data has been analyzed using SPSS 19.0. Results: The name of the program developed by this study is healthful weight management and its URL is http://ihealth.or.kr. There were 6 major menus and 18 sub menus including diet, exercise and behavior modification in this program. This study showed that this web-based obesity management program had high satisfaction for a system and increase knowledge of obesity and obesity control behavior for obese children. Conclusion: We expect the web-based obesity management program for elementary school students developed by this study will be able to lead the practice and participation of obese children and decrease the degree of obesity.

ICT 활용 교육을 위한 웹 기반 문제중심학습 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a Web Based PBL System for ICT Training)

  • 본 연구에서는 ICT 활용 교육을 위한 웹 기반 문제중심학습 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 이를 위해 선행 연구된 웹 기반 문제중심학습의 특성과 모형을 탐색한 후 6개의 구성요소로 시스템을 설계하고 그에 따라 시스템을 학습 안내, 학습 문제, 모둠 학습실, 학습 결과, 학습 도우미, 자유 게시판 등 6개의 요소로 구성하였다. 또한, 구현된 시스템을 실제 ICT 활용 초급자에게 적용한 결과 '웹 기반 문제중심학습 시스템'이 기존의 off-line 강의식 수업 방식에 비해 워드프로세싱 기능 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었고 학습 흥미도, 토론 참여도, 맞춤 클리닉 활용도, 학습자의 태도 변화에 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Web Enabled Expert Systems using Hyperlink-based Inference

  • With the proliferation of WWW, providing more intelligence to Web sites has become a major concern in e-business industry. In recent days, this trend is more accelerated by prosperity of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) in terms of various aspects such as product recommendation, self after service, etc. To accomplish this goal, many e-companies are eager to embed web enabled rule-based system, that is, expert systems into their Web sites and several well-known commercial tools are already available in the market. Most of those tools are developed based on CGI so far but CGI based systems inherently suffer over-burden problem when there are too many service demands at the same time due to the nature of CGI. To overcome this limitation of the existing CGI based expert systems, we propose a new form of Web-enabled expert system using hyperlink-based inference mechanism. In terms of burden to Web server, our approach is proven to outperform CGI based approach theoretically and also empirically. For practical purpose, our this approach is implemented in a software system, WeBIS and a graphic rule editing methodology, Expert Diagram is incorporated into the system to facilitates rule generation and maintenance. WeBIS is now successfully operated for financial consulting in the web site of a leading financial consulting company in Korea.

Implementation of an Open Artificial Intelligence Platform Based on Web and Tensorflow

  • In this paper, we propose a web-based open artificial intelligence (AI) platform which provides high convenience in input data pre-processing, artificial neural network training, and the configuration of subsequent operations according to inference results. The proposed platform has the advantages of the GUI-based environment which can be easily utilized by a user without complex installation. It consists of a web server implemented with the JavaScript Node.js library and a client running the tensorflow.js library. Using the platform, many users can simultaneously create, modify and run their projects to apply AI functionality into various smart services through an open web interface. With our implementation, we show the operability of the proposed platform. By loading a web page from the server, the client can perform GUI-based operations and display the results performed by three modules: the Input Module, the Learning Module and the Output Module. We also implement two application systems using our platform, called smart cashier and smart door, which demonstrate the platform's practicality.

  • Recently, factory automation and shop floor control system need a web based remote monitoring technology to control effectively machine tool. This paper describes a web based remote monitoring system which is concerned with open architecture controller for machine tool. The environment of this system consists of a lot of elements such as web server, database, machine tool, pc based controller, client computers and script programs, also which is interconnected by network including intranet or internet. Designed script programs, also which is interconnected by network including intranet or internet. Designed script program service current status and faults information of machine to remote users who want to monitor machine tool. Additionally those have various functions to service we board for q&a, downloading data and information of after-service managers.

분산 환경하에서의 웹기반 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구 (Web-Based Simulation under Distributed Environment)

  • This paper introduces the concept of web-based simulation and suggests the structure of web-based simulation which reduces the simulation run time and performs simulations in efficient way under distributed environments. Since its introducing in 1996, web-based simulation has been studied only with a tool of applet, but in this paper a method of server applications for client applets will be used. In server application, server transfers objects requested by clients such as simulation engines, reports, files. After each client connects to web-server, and then server allocates simulation modules to connected clients. These work magnify the transferring applets from server and simulation models which were made by clients. This paper also processes a structure for managing efficiently web-based simulation under distributed environment and steps in which clients connect, model, simulate with distributed structure, and programs of proposed structure.

  • In this research, we suggest a Web-based hybrid recommendation mechanism using CBR (Case-Based Reasoning) and web data mining. Data mining is used as an efficient mechanism in reasoning for relationship between goods, customers' preference and future behavior. CBR systems are normally used in problems for which it is difficult to define rules. We use CBR as an AI tool to recommend the similar purchase case. A Web-log data gathered in real-world Internet shopping mall was given to illustrate the quality of the proposed mechanism. The results showed that the CBR and web data mining-based hybrid recommendation mechanism could reflect both association knowledge and purchase information about our former customers.

WCMS 기반의 웹 콘텐츠 관리에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Management of the WCMS-based Web-Contents)

  • 온라인 및 모바일의 발전에 힘입어 개인 혹은 기업의 홈페이지 및 웹 콘텐츠(Web-Contents)를 관리하기 위해 CMS(Contents Management System) 및 WCMS(Web Contents Management System)를 도입하는 사례가 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라, GUI(Grapic User Interface) 기반의 WCMS를 설계하고 좀더 간소한 절차로 콘텐츠를 수정하고 확인 할 수 있는 WCMS가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 WCMS에 기반을 둔 웹 콘텐츠를 사용자 정의에 의해 재구성하여 GUI 기반으로 좀더 효율적이고 편리하게 수정 할 수 있도록 시스템을 설계하고 단순화한 로직을 구성하는 연구를 통하여 직관적이고 편리한 웹 콘텐츠 관리 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 따라서, 본 논문에서 제안하고 있는 WCMS 기반의 웹 콘텐츠 수정 및 편집시스템은 사용자로 하여금 기존의 웹 콘텐츠 수정 처리 시스템에 비해 속도 개선 및 사용의 편의성 등이 뛰어나 웹 콘텐츠 수정 및 편집방법으로 널리 활용될 것으로 사료된다.

User modeling based on fuzzy category and interest for web usage mining

  • Web usage mining is a research field for searching potentially useful and valuable information from web log file. Web log file is a simple list of pages that users refer. Therefore, it is not easy to analyze user's current interest field from web log file. This paper presents web usage mining method for finding users' current interest based on fuzzy categories. We consider not only how many times a user visits pages but also when he visits. We describe a user's current interest with a fuzzy interest degree to categories. Based on fuzzy categories and fuzzy interest degrees, we also propose a method to cluster users according to their interests for user modeling. For user clustering, we define a category vector space. Experiments show that our method properly reflects the time factor of users' web visiting as well as the users' visit number.

Mining Parallel Text from the Web based on Sentence Alignment

  • The parallel corpus is an important resource in the research field of data-driven natural language processing, but there are only a few parallel corpora publicly available nowadays, mostly due to the high labor force needed to construct this kind of resource. A novel strategy is brought out to automatically fetch parallel text from the web in this paper, which may help to solve the problem of the lack of parallel corpora with high quality. The system we develop first downloads the web pages from certain hosts. Then candidate parallel page pairs are prepared from the page set based on the outer features of the web pages. The candidate page pairs are evaluated in the last step in which the sentences in the candidate web page pairs are extracted and aligned first, and then the similarity of the two web pages is evaluate based on the similarities of the aligned sentences. The experiments towards a multilingual web site show the satisfactory performance of the system.
