인터넷 정보량의 과잉 문제는 이용자에게 많은 제약을 야기 시키고 있다. 이용자들은 정보탐색 및 검색도구로써 인터넷을 사용할 때에 정보 요구, 기술 수준 또는 교육적 배경과 관계없이 정보량, 탐색, 품질, 그리고 신뢰의 문제들에 직면하고 있다. 고품질의 웹정보자원을 이용자에게 제공하는 웹학술정보 주제게이트웨이는 이러한 문제점들에 대한 해결책의 하나이다. 본 연구는 국외 웹학술정보 주제게이트웨이 서비스들의 설립 및 운영상에 나타난 특징들을 살펴보고, 웹학술정보 주제게이트웨이 서비스를 설립 운영하는데 고려해야할 사항들을 파악한다.

이 연구의 목적은 웹 자원의 서지적 조직과 접근에 관련된 이론과 실무적 동향을 살펴보구 국내의 도서관에서 적응할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 하는 것이다. 문헌조사 및 국내외 다섯 개의 대학도서관의 웹 사이트에서 실제적인 웹 자원의 조직과 접근의 사례를 분석하였다. 웹 자원을 전자 저널 색인 초록 데이터베이스, 그 밖의 웹 사이트로 구분하여 살펴본 결과, 도서관마다 이들을 전체적 혹은 부분적으로 종합목록에 통합하거나, 전자 저널 게이트웨이나 웹 링크에만 의존하는 등 조직과 접근 제공의 방법이 상이하였고, 특히 국내 도서관들이 보다 적극적이고 체계적인 웹 자원의 수집과 활용, 국가적인 서지통정의 수립 등이 필요하였다.

This paper provides an overview of the emergence of resource discovery systems and services, along with their advantages, best practices, and current landscapes. It outlines some of the key services and functionalities of a comprehensive discovery model suitable for academic libraries in developing countries. The proposed model (VuFind as a discovery tool) performs like other existing web-scale resource discovery systems, both commercial and open-source, and is capable of providing information resources from different sources in a single-window search interface. The objective of the paper is to provide seamless access to globally distributed subscribed as well as open access resources through its discovery interface, based on a unified index. This model uses Koha, DSpace, and Greenstone as back-ends and VuFind as a discovery layer in the front-end and has also integrated many enhanced search features like Bento-box search, Geodetic search, and full-text search (using Apache Tika). The goal of this paper is to provide the academic community with a one-stop shop for better utilising and integrating heterogeneous bibliographic data sources with VuFind (https://vufind.org/vufind).

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy is now placing emphasis on the importance of a new and renewable energy resource map service as an essential means of promoting the dissemination and adoption of renewable energy and other related industrial activities. To raise satisfaction with the new and renewable energy resource map service and promote its utilization, a survey was conducted on a sample group with an academic research background, i.e. employees of the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) who have a thorough understanding of the technological concepts behind the new and renewable energy resource map. Statistical analysis of the survey results showed a high level of overall satisfaction with the web service for the new and renewable energy resource map. Therefore, it was concluded that the development of practical contents rather than the enhancement of web service convenience is required. A statistically significant trend was also observed whereby, the longer the professional career of the survey respondents, the greater their perception and utilization of, and satisfaction with, the enhanced service, which indicates that their level of understanding and utilization of technological concepts corresponds to their research experience record. In addition, the results obtained from the questionnaires regarding the evaluation of the utilization value of the resource map service indicated that use of the service was equally high in terms of political, business and academic applications. The results confirmed the need to develop multidimensional resource map contents that can be applied to as many fields as possible, rather than focusing on a specific terrain.

본 연구는 이용자가 선호하는 인터넷 정보환경에서 생존하고 타당성 있는 조직으로 존재하기 위한 대학도서관의 역할을 효과적인 수행하기 위한 정보서비스의 모델을 설정하기 위해 66개의 미국의 대학도서관의 정보서비스 동향을 분석하였으며, 다음과 같은 하이브리드 정보서비스 기능을 발휘할 수 있는 모델을 설정하였다. 첫째, 도서관 웹 포털의 구축이다 이것은 전자적 자원의 발굴과 제공, 연구의 지원, 도서관 연구의 지원 수업의 지원 등을 포함한다 둘째, 하이브리드 기능의 길 프론트 엔드의 제공이다. 셋째, 정보능력의 향상을 위한 지원이다. 이를 위해 정보의 탐색, 조직, 평가 능력의 함양과 정보기술의 지원 및 도서관 이용 교육의 확산(계층별, 주제별, 상호작용적)이 필요하다. 넷째, 자원공유의 확대이다. 자원공유의 확대를 위해서는 지역 네트워크를 통한 자원의 공유 도모, 도서관 상호대타의 활성화, 저작권 관련 정의의 제공 접근성의 향상(캠퍼스 밖에서의 도서관 정보자원에 대한 원격접근의 제공, 정보서비스를 위한 각종 양식의 온라인 제공과 접수) 도서관 정보의 제공에 초점을 맞추어야 한다.

전자자원 수집과 관리 영역에 있어서의 발전과 함께 과학기술분야를 필두로 하는 학술 정보자원의 급격한 가격 상승은 전자자원 관리에 있어서의 협력의 필요성을 증진시키고 있다. 이에 따라 많은 국가들이 대학 및 연구도서관을 중심으로 하여 국가차원의 전자형태 학술 정보원의 효율적 수집과 관리를 위한 협력을 기반으로 한 레포지토리 형태의 학술정보자원 관리 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 우리나라에서도 각 영역별 학술정보 관리를 위해 협력형 전자자원 관리 프로그램의 구축을 위한 노력이 경주되고 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 이 연구에서는 NSDL, NTIS, Intute, 그리고 ARROW를 사례로 하여 현재 구축되어 있는 협력형 레포지토리의 다양한 유형들을 중심으로 온라인 정보접근 및 검색경로를 포괄하는 국가차원 혹은 지역 단위의 협력형 레포지토리의 주요 구축 배경과 장서구성 현황을 일별하였다. 그리고 e-metrics 프로젝트들에서 제시하고 있는 측정지표들을 종합적으로 검토한 후, 이를 기반으로 협력형 레포지토리가 구축하고 있는 전자자원을 평가하기 위한 평가 요소들을 도출하여 보았다.

In high education, knowledge is the very important resource and output. Knowledge management is the art of creating additional value from academic knowledge assets. The e-community is the network community, newly created by information communication technology, and the critical place that share and transfer people's the various knowledge and thinking and the effective space that can apply knowledge management. If we construct a convenient and useful e-community in our university, we will be able to increase the student's intellectual needs, and create new knowledge. Web-portal will promote the activity of e-community providing easy to access and personalized web circumstance. The emergence of Internet and Web access to all university services will force institutions to rethik everything. We should reconfigure our academic environment in order to adapt information technology and educational change, and must do change management based on their structure and culture.

이 연구의 목적은 전자자료 구독 업무와 관련하여 한국의 대학도서관들이 당면하고 있는 문제의 실체와 원인을 밝혀내고, 개별 대학도서관들은 물론이고 대학도서관계 전체가 문제의 해결을 위해 참조할 수 있는 전략과 방안을 모색하는데 있다. 구체적으로, 10개의 거점국립대학도서관을 사례로 하여 전자자료 구독 현황과 실태에 대해 조사하였으며, 그들 도서관에서 전자자료를 구독하는 과정에서 드러내 보이는 업무행태적 특징과 한계에 대해 분석하였다. 더불어 기존의 전자자료 구독 행태가 향후 대학도서관과 사서집단에 미치게 될 부정적 영향에 대해 살펴보면서, 그러한 업무행태를 혁신하기 위한 거시적 전략과 미시적 방안을 제시하였다. 이 연구에서 설정한 연구문제를 논의하는데 필요한 데이터는 관련 문헌과 통계에 대한 분석 그리고 대학도서관에서 전자자료 업무를 담당하는 사서들과의 면담을 통해 확보하였다.

이 연구에서는 KISTI NDSL의 학술논문 정보를 웹 학술자원과 연계하는 실험적 연구를 수행함으로써 KISTI의 정보 유통 서비스의 확대 가능성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 웹 학술자원을 수집하여 STEAK 시스템을 이용한 자동 의미 연계를 생성하고 이를 학술논문 검색결과와 결합하였다. 시스템의 검색 정확률을 평가한 결과 매크로 정확률은 62.6%, 마이크로 정확률은 66.9%를 보였으며, 자동연계 성능에 대한 전문가 평가는 76.7점을 보였다. 주제 범주별 전문가 평가는 본 연구를 통해 의미연계를 잘 수행하는 경우에 높게 측정되어 시스템적 성능과 동일한 경향을 보였다. 이 연구는 다양한 웹 학술자원의 서비스 연계를 위하여 논문정보로부터 생성한 언어자원을 의미색인에 사용한 것으로 이를 통해 지속적인 웹 자원의 학술적 활용에 대한 가능성을 제시하고자 하였다.

The easily use of WWW and Web browser of INTERNET makes the world our stage. But when we search for the information and resource that we want, the information supplied by search engine (e.g., Yahoo, Lycos, WebCrawler, Alta Vista) is inadequate to acquire the necessary and related information of research issues. This paper surveys AMT(Advanced Manufacturing Technology) which is the research topics recently on the WWW(WorLd Wide Web) and provides searching methods and information for academic research, technical report, proceedings, software, etc. It also briefly surveys WWW-VL(Virtual Library) and reviews the major three technology, CALS (Commerce At Light Speed), AMS(Agile Manufacturing System), CE(Concurrent Engineering), that is recently the focus of the research issue of Industrial Engineer.
