A study on automation of loom pattern generation (직기의 무늬내기 자동화에 관한 연구)

  • In this study a computer-aided textile pattern design system is implemented and a control methodology of a dobby motion is studied. The described system allows the user to design various weave patterns through graphic editor and to simulate weaving by displaying the dummy weaving process on the monitor. In addition, if the yarn colors are specified it is also possible to analyze color weaves. Thus it can replace effectively a conventional. design tool, a design paper. The main features of the system are to design weave patterns, to show weaving effect, and to make lifting plan for the dobby motion control. In dobby motion control, the mechanical. control method conventionally used is not adequate for the loom which is linked with the computer-aided textile pattern design system, so an electromagnetic control method is proposed.

  • In this paper, we propose a new weaving trajectory algorithm for the arc welding of a articulated manipulator. The algorithm uses the theory of Bezier spline. We make a comparison between the conventional algorithms using Catmull-Rom curve and the new algorithms using Bezier spline. The proposed algorithm has been evaluated based on the MATLAB environment in order to illustrate its good performance. Through simulations, the proposed algorithm can result in high-speed and flexible weaving trajectory planning so that it's trajectory cannot penetrate into a base metal compared to the conventional algorithm using Catmull-Rom curve.

  • 최근 작업장에서 용접을 위해 로봇을 도입하는 사례가 많다. 단순한 장소뿐만 아니라 선체 블록 내와 같은 제약된 장소에서도 로봇을 많이 사용한다. 그렇기 때문에 로봇의 다양화와 고기능화가 더욱더 요구되고 있다. 로봇의 용접을 위한 위빙 궤적은 용접 품질과 생산성에 큰 영향을 주기 때문에 중요하다. 그러나 로봇을 도입하여 열악한 작업 환경에서 유연한 동작을 적용하기에는 말은 시행착오와 비용이 소요된다. 그래서 용접 로봇의 도입 이전 단계에서 위빙 궤적이 작업 환경에 맞게 로봇에 적용되는지 확인하는 것이 필요하다.(중략)

  • Inherent strain method for analyzing deformation of line-heating is substituting experiments of high cost, because of its high accuracy and quickness. Nowadays, the progressing forms of line-heating are not straight moving motions used to traditional studies, but weaving motions which can diversely input heat source. In shipyard, reasons of weaving motions are induction of a special characteristic by water cooling, maximum temperature limitation for keeping plates from melting, and rhythm for workman's maintaining velocity. On this study, a method which can obtain optimal weaving heating condition was presented, some examples were introduced, and the results corresponded to works of shipyard. Lastly, what the specifications of plates on efficiency are is presented, through the quality standard of shipyard and FEM heat transfer simulation. The ultimate purpose of line heating is the automation, so in case of plates which need weaving heating, the optimal heating condition suggested by this study can be used well in designing coil specifications of induction heaters which are heat input sources of new generation.

  • In order to intercept anti-ship missiles, it is important to accurately predict the aiming point. The major factor for degrading the accuracy of the aiming point is the motions of the warships due to waves. Therefore, a stage of correcting the aiming point is required to compensate for such motions of warships. The proposed aiming point correction technique treats the changes in positions and velocity of naval guns by considering changes in the positions and velocities of the anti-ship missiles. In this paper, a ship motion estimation filter was also constructed to predict the motions of warships at the firing time of naval guns. In the simulation part, finally, the distance errors before and after aiming point corrections were compared through 6-DOF simulations.

Fabric Weavability and Machine Efficiency in the Various Weaving Machines such as Projectile, Rapiers, and Air-jet (프로젝타일, 래피어 그리고 에어젯트 직기의 제직성과 직기효율)

  • This paper surveys the fabric weavability and machine efficiency in the various weaving looms such as Projectile, Rapiers, and Air-jet. Used projectile loom was Sulzer-PU, and FAST-R, THEMA-11E, and Picanol-GTX were used for Rapier looms, as the Air-Jet looms, Picanol PAT and OMNI types were used. Using these looms, 5 harness worsted satin fabrics were woven for surveying the fabric weavability and machine efficiency. Warp yam count of fabric is 1/40Nm, Sirofil, and filling is 1/30 Nm, worsted. End breaks of warp and filling directions for the various types of looms are measured and discussed with the mechanism of each loom. Warp and filling yam tensions are also measured and analysed with open width of shedding motion of each weaving machine. And various warp yam tensions with open width of shedding are measured and analysed according to the warp yam in various heald frame. These results fire also discussed with temples such as bar and ring. Warp yam tensions at the various positions on the fabric with various looms are measured and discussed with fabric mechanical properties such as tensile, bending, shear and surface.

Design of a disk cam with remote follower in a tappet shedding device (타펫개구장치에서의 원격종동절 캠 설계)

  • A method for the design of a disk cam with a remote follower is presented. ADAMS software is utilized for the design process. The whole process is applied for the design of a cam profile to be used in a tappet shedding device of a shuttle loom. First the desired motion of the remote follower, the hearld frame in this case, is determined to improve the characteristic of a certain weaving process. Next, the desired displacement data is input to the ADAMS software and the cam profile is obtained as an output. To test the validity of the proposed method, designed cams were actually manufactured and implemented on a experimental loom. And with the help of potentiometer type displacement transducers, the motion of the remote followers were actually recorded. And the result was sufficient to prove the validity of the presented method.
