홀소자를 이용한 손목착용 맥진기의 혈압추정 알고리즘 (Estimated Blood Pressure Algorithm of Wrist Wearable Pulsimeter Using by Hall Device)

  • 비가압 상태에서 혈압 및 맥박을 정확하게 측정한 값를 얻기 위하여 안정시 휴대성과 소형화가 가능한 자성 홀소자를 이용한 손목 착용형 맥진기의 시제품을 개발하였다. 본 시제품을 이용하여 맥진파를 분석한 13명의 임상시험 데이터로 상관인자를 정하여 혈압추정 알고리즘의 회귀식을 구하였다. 5초간 비가압 맥진기로 맥진파를 수집한 혈압추정값과 전자혈압계나 수은혈압계로 측정한 혈압값을 비교하였다. 비가압 맥진기로 추정한 최고혈압과 최저혈압의 표준편차는 혈압국제규격 허용치 범위 안에 있는 12.1과 5.9로 각각 나타났다.

  • ICT(Information and Communications Technologies)의 발전으로 사람과 사물 사물과 사물이 네트워크로 연결되는 초연결사회로 진입하면서 웨어러블 디바이스 산업이 빠른 속도로 성장하고 있다. 시장조사기관인 IDC(International Data Corporation)에서는 웨어러블 디바이스 산업이 2020년까지 급성장할 것이라는 전망을 내놓고 있지만 아직 대중적인 호응은 얻지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 웨어러블 디바이스 산업동향에 대해 살펴보고, 사용자경험에 대한 분석을 통해 제품과 서비스 개발을 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다. 분석 대상은 스마트밴드로하여 상품리뷰를 수집 분석하였다. 분석결과 웨어러블 디바이스에 대한 사용자경험은 유용성, 사용성, 심미성, 가치성, 신뢰성으로 추출할 수 있었고 이렇게 추출된 자료에서 극성을 분석하여 시각화 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 현재 웨어러블 디바이스는 가격이 고가이고, 기능 개발에 집중되어 있어 축적된 정보를 분석해 사용자에게 장기적인 관점에서 유용한 정보를 제공하지 못하고 있으며 패션아이템이나 악세서리로 인식되고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 점은 제품의 지속적인 사용과 동기부여, 제품의 시장 확산을 저해하는 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 후속 연구에서는 2차로 스마트워치를 대상으로 분석하여 밴드와 워치에 대한 비교연구를 진행하고자 한다.

  • 4차 산업혁명의 시대에서도 여전히 산업 재해 예방은 산업 현장에서 중요한 문제이다. 그런데, 산업 안전의 문제를 해결하는 과정에서 개발된 제품이 신뢰성 있는 성능평가에 대한 기준이나 방법의 부재로 시장 출시에 대한 어려움이 큰 상황이다. 본 연구의 목적은 산업 현장에서 추락 사고에 대응하기 위해 새롭게 개발된 추락 인체 보호용 착용형 에어백 제품에 대한 시험 방법개발 및 평가이다. 연구 방법으로는 기존에 없는 융합 신제품 평가개발 process 4단계(1단계: 제품검토, 2단계: 자료조사, 3단계: 전문가 회의, 4단계: 평가기준도출)를 통해 신뢰성 있는 평가 기준을 개발하고 적용하였다. 또한 개발된 평가 기준에 따라 추락 인체 보호용 착용형 에어백 소재에 대한 충격력을 평가하였다. 평가로 얻어진 추락 충격력은 기존 충격력 대비 96% 정도의 감소 효과를 나타내어 에어백 적용 시 추락 충격력이 현저히 줄어듦을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 융합 신제품이 시장 출시를 할 수 있도록 하였으며, 산업 현장 근로자가 안전하게 작업할 수 있는 환경을 조성하게 될 것으로 보인다.

스마트패션제품 개발 동향에 관한 연구 (A study on smart fashion product development trends)

  • ICT in the IOT era is the core basis of modern society. This study investigated and analyzed the recent commercialization trends of smart fashion products internationally and domestically, to utilize them as the basis of data for developing user-friendly smart fashion products that can meet the needs of consumers. Keyword research using the most representative search engines, Google and Naver was conducted for searching for various wearable items commercialized actively since 2010. The final 78 products were classified by the physical area, and the key features and benefits were analyzed. Smart fashion products were classified as four physical types for the head and face, torso, arms and hands, and ankles and feet. Smart fashion products for each body part were developed in various ways, such as hats, glasses, lenses, virtual screens, earphones, headsets, clothing, watches, wrist bands, gloves, rings, wallets, bags, anklets, shoes, socks, and insoles. The main features were music playback, bluetooth, a camera based on NFC, virtual effects, health and safety protection through measuring heartbeat and momentum, and social network sharing of all kinds of information, based on inter-working with a smartphone. These functions represent the physical, social, and emotional interactions among users and their surroundings, as well as the users, themselves. The research results are expected to be used in future studies on planning user-friendly and marketable products through in-depth analysis of the design characteristics of smart fashion products as well as consumer responses.

A Study on Product Development to Promote the Effects of Exercise on Children and to Induce Their Interest in Exercise: A Survey on the Development of Cognitive and Motor Functions in Children

  • This study was conducted to develop wearable products with visual and auditory feedback aimed at promoting exercise interest in children. Here we determined the theoretical characteristics of cognitive and motor function development during childhood, empirical characteristics of children's motor functions, and factors that encourage exercise using natural observation and in-depth interview research methods. The questionnaire assessed children's motor ability, intensively trained body parts in sports programs, types of training or classes that improve the motor ability of each muscle group, significantly considered aspects of children's sports programs, and factors that promote children's interest in exercise. Our results suggest that the development of sport programs comprising varied exercise options that enhance body and limb movements are needed for balanced growth. Furthermore, it is very important to provide motivation for regular exercise and appropriate feedback, such as praise and encouragement, to maintain interest in exercise. This study identifies the standards for developing products that peak children's interest in exercise and the basis for a physically and mentally healthy society.

혁신의 확산 혹은 혼란 - 스마트 의류 잠재적 채택자 관점 - (Diffusion or confusion of innovation - Smart clothing potential adopters' perspectives -)

  • As the next generation of smartphone and tablet computers, wearable devices are currently being developed and available in market in various forms. Smart clothing is a wearable device that holds the greatest potential for future development but low in market penetration. This study was designed to identify factors that influence adoption and diffusion of smart clothing. In-depth interviews with potential consumers who were knowledgeable about and interested in smart clothing were conducted. A semantic network analysis method was used. The results showed that consumers perceived smart clothing as a garment rather than as a type of wearable device and had a positive perception of smart apparel as more convenient and advanced than functional apparel. At the same time, however, consumers had a negative perception of smart clothing as unnecessary, ugly, and injurious to health. Consumers also worried that wearing smart apparel over long periods of time would negatively impact their health. Factors affecting resistance to smart apparel included low utility, perceived risk, and lack of aesthetic completeness. Usefulness and convenience were factors that affected the acceptance of smart clothing. The innovativeness of the product was more influential than consumer innovativeness in the process of adoption and diffusion of smart clothing.

홈 헬스케어를 위한 무구속 전자청진 모듈의 개발 (Development of Wearable Electro-stethoscope Module for Home-healthcare)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 청진기를 대체할 수 있으며, 멀티미디어 PC에 연결할 경우 청진음의 저장이 가능하여 병원에 직접 방문하지 않고 가정에서 청진음을 저장하고 초고속 통신망을 통해 병원에 전송함으로써 가정에서도 쉽게 정기적인 검진이 가능한 홈 헬스케어를 위한 무구속 정자청진 모듈을 개발하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 저잡음, 고이득, 저전력 그리고 저전압 구동의 특징을 갖도록 전자청진기용 증폭기를 설계하였으며, 제작된 전자청진 회로를 이용하여 심음 측정에 중요한 요소로 판단되는 집음기를 재질, 크기별로 제작하여 테스트 하였다.

아두이노 릴리패드와 사운드 센서를 이용한 LED 무대의상 디자인 개발 연구 (A Study on the Development of LED Stage Costume Design Using Arduino LilyPad and Sound Sensor)

  • This study presents a new fashion wearable product, a classical music stage costume design, using an Arduino LilyPad that can control light-emitting diodes(LEDs) and a sound sensor that can set an environmental range of LED light. As a theoretical background, LED fashion design research and stage costume design research status were reviewed, and Arduino LilyPads, sensors, LEDs, and batteries required for LED stage costume production were investigated. Based on prior research, the LED stage costume design for the soprano stage was presented in a three-step process of design planning, development, and production, and an actual prototype was produced. This process produced meaningful information and materials for making clothes with the added function of a wearable computer. In particular, fashion designers or fashion majors can easily access the Arduino LillyPad and use not only LEDs, but other light emitting materials. It is expected that it will be used as a basic material for the use of the Arduino LillyPad that can develop new creations that have been utilized.

아웃도어 활동기반 웨어러블 광에너지 하베스팅 장치 디자인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of a Wearable Solar Energy Harvesting Device Based on Outdoor Activities)

  • This study develops a wearable solar energy harvesting device that absorbs solar energy to generate and store power which can be used during outdoor activities by users even after dark. For this study, a prototype hat for outdoor activities at night was developed after the design of a solar energy harvesting generation, storage, and delivery system was designed that could store energy to light up LEDs. First, the main control board of the system was designed to integrate the charging function, the darkness detection circuit, the battery voltage sensing circuit, and the LED driving circuit in order to reduce bulkiness and minimize the connection structure. It was designed to increase convenience. Second, the system was designed as a wearable fashion product that connected each part with fiber bands and manufacturing it so as to be detachable from the hat. Third, charging and LED operation tests show that the battery is fully charged after 5 hours even in winter when the illuminance value is low. In addition, the LED operation experiment verified the effectiveness of a buffered system that could operate the LEDs for about 3 hours at night.

An Introduction of Myo Armband and Its Comparison with Motion Capture Systems

  • Recently, ways for accurately measuring the three dimensional movements of hand are actively researched so as to utilize the measurement data for therapeutic and rehabilitation programs. This research paper aims to introduce a product called Myo Armband, a wearable device comprised of a 3-axis accelerometer, a 3 axis gyroscope, and electromyographic sensors. We compare Armband's performance with that of the Motion Capture System, which is known as a device for providing fairly accurate measurements for angular movements of objects. Dart throwing and wrist winding motions comprised movement scenarios. This paper also discusses one of Armband's advantages - portability, and suggests its potential as a substitute for previously used devices. Decent levels of measurement accuracy were obtained which were comparable to that of three dimensional measurement device.
