도시형 자기부상열차의 주행장치시스템 제작 및 성능 시험 (Manufacturing and Performance Test for Bogie System of Urban Maglev)

  • Maglev vehicles levitated and propelled by electromagnet as non-contact between vehicle and guide rail is environmentally friendly transport system which have many advantages like ride comfort and guide way construction costs. As a goal of commercial operation at Incheon International Airport in 2012, development of vehicle is underway and proto-vehicle is test running at KIMM. The maglev bogie system of proto-vehicle, like railway vehicle, has functions to support weight of vehicle, transfer force of brake and propulsion and improve ride comfort through insulation of vibration and improve curve negotiation capability. The main components of a bogie are two modules consisted of electromagnetic, frame and linear motor, two tie beams to connect two modules and steering system to improve curve negotiation capability. The purpose of this paper is to describe general specification, structure, manufacturing process, performance testing, ride comfort of proto-vehicle and bogie system.

유비쿼터스 환경에서 상황인지 기반 문화재 답사도우미 시스템 (A Tour Guide System Based on a Context-Aware in Ubiquitous Environment)

  • The ubiquitous environment is to support people in their everyday life in an inconspicuous and unobtrusive way. This environment requires information such as the person, his/her preferences, and habits which is available in the ubiquitous system. In this paper, we propose the context aware system that can provide the tailored information service for user in ubiquitous computing environment. Our system architecture is divided into 4 domain models such as context awareness, presentation, interface and inference domain. Each domain model can perform some predefined tasks independently. And we suggest the hybrid algorithm combined with fuzzy and Bayesian method in order to reason what is the suitable information for user. We show the possibility for the real application through applying the system to the TGA (Tour Guide Assistant) for Kyoungju historical site.

Micro 선반을 이용한 Micro/Meso 절삭에 관한 연구 (Micro/Meso Cutting with Micro Turning Lathe)

  • In this paper, a micro-turning lathe is introduced for micro machining of aluminum rod. To give feed motion, stepwise motion[2] actuators are used instead of the conventional inchworm mechanism. These are consisted of two Piezoelectric ceramics; one is for feeding the slider, and the other is for clamping the slider in the guide way of the body. The guide is V-form. The linearity and positional accuracy of the actuators is good enough far high precision motion. Since the system is more compact than the conventional system using three Piezoelectric ceramics, it is applicable for the micro-machine or MEMS unit. To fabricate the lathe, a small spindle unit with ball bearings of diameter of 10 millimeter is built-up on the top the slider. The motion is feed backed with miniaturized linear encoder attached each axis slider. The diamond tool bite is used for cutting tool. The machining is tried to make small diameter rod. The possible diameter that can be machined in this machine is presented as well as chip formation, surface roughness, and machinability.

영구자석을 이용한 자기부상 시스템

  • The advantage of the controlled permanent magnet system for magnetic levitation is the considerable improvement in levitation force to weight ratio and the reduced rating of the on-board power supply. A combined support and guidance technique with selfstable guide behaviour reduce the expense of control and power electronics. An important feature of this system is the simplified mechanical construction of track and the vehicle does not embrace the guide way. Therefore surface mounted as well as elevated tracks are possible. The magnet was designed to provide a lift force of 750kg for a 3 ton prototype vehicle with 4 magnets by KERI and built by Dae-Bo Magnetic Co., LTD. The paper also describes the assembling technology for permanent magnets, the experimental setup and test results for lift force, guidance force and flux distribution.

  • Recently, rods having irregular sections more complex than a rectangle or ellipse are necessary to produce mechanical parts. The cold shaped drawing process is used to obtain shaped drawn products with high levels of dimensional accuracy and quality. A cross roller guide, considered in this study, is one of the parts produced by shaped drawing process. A cross roller guide has a linear bearing system that rolls along a guide way. A cross roller guide is one of the most important components in terms of equipment because the quality of the product influences the precision linear motion. Therefore, the final dimensional accuracy of the linear rail in the shaped drawing is very important. The objective of this study is to find the optimized die angles to improve the dimensional accuracy and straightness of the final shaped drawn product. In order to achieve the aim of this study, design of experiment, FE-simulation, and the Taguchi method were used. Based on the analytical results, shaped drawing experiment has been performed to verify the result.

  • With the increasing number of high-rise and large-scale buildings, modern buildings are becoming intelligent, and are incurring high construction costs and requiring careful maintenance. Maintenance works for high-rise buildings significantly depend on human labor, unlike other construction processes that are gradually being automated. The resulting accidents may produce very high social and economic losses. To address this problem, herein, this paper proposes robotic building maintenance system using multi-robot concept, in specific, cleaning a building facade which is directly subjected to minimize human labor; that improves the process efficiency and economic feasibility. The sensor for detecting contamination of building's outer-wall glass is proposed; Kalman filter was used for estimating robots' status with the contamination of the window glass. Task allocation of the sensor based multi-robots for an effective way of task execution is introduced and the feasibility was verified through the simulations.

  • 우리나라의 장애인 복지정책이 자립능력 배양 중심으로 전환되고 있는 시점에서 가장 중요한 것은 교육이라 할 것이다. 시각장애인들의 정보습득과 자립능력을 길러주는 교육기관에서 IT기술을 활용하여 타인의 도움을 받지 않고 안전하게 스스로 목적지를 찾아갈 수 있도록 안내해주는 시스템을 개발하여 교육환경에 제한적인 시각장애인들에게 삶의 질 향상과 독립적 생활인으로서 학교생활의 불편을 개선하고자한다. 본 연구에서는 현대인의 필수품이라 할 수 있는 휴대폰과 RFID태그 및 안테나와 리더를 장착한 흰 지팡이를 이용하여, 학교건물 외부에는 점자 블록과, 건물내부에의 복도 및 통로의 바닥에 심어놓은 RFID태그의 정보를 흰 지팡이로 읽어 휴대폰으로 전송하면 경로를 음성과 진동으로 시각장애인에게 경로에 대한 정보를 제공하여 학교 내에서 안전한 이동을 지원할 수 있다.

분기기 통과속도 제한규정에 대한 타당성 검토연구 (Verification of the Validity for the Speed-limit Regulation on the Turnout System)

  • The turnout system is typical railway facility to be in the way of conventional railway line's speed-up. The KNR(Korean National Railroad) has a speed limit regulation (130km/h) for the passing the turnout to guarantee a safety. This research had been performed to confirm the propriety of this regulation by using experimental and analytical way before it was carried out. The reasonableness of the speed-limit regulation was judged base on the several experiments. It was proved that the regulation was not useless as it had been regarded and very important guide at least up to now.

  • 방송 기술의 발전은 기존의 아날로그 방송을 디지털 방송으로 전환시켰고, 그 결과 다수의 프로그램을 다중화(Multiplexing)하여 하나의 스트림(Stream) 으로 송출하는 것이 가능해짐에 따라 아날로그 방식으로 방송할 때보다 채널 수가 많이 늘어나게 되었다. 다채널 시청 환경에서 시청자가 원하는 프로그램을 찾을 수 있게 도와주는 역할을 하는 것이 EPG(Electronic Program Guide)이다. 기존의 지상파 위주의 방송에서 케이블 TV, 위성 방송, IP TV 서비스까지 지원되는 다매체 환경으로 방송기술의 발전이 급속히 변화하고 있는 상황에서는 제목, 장르, 날짜, WishList로 프로그램을 검색하는 기능을 갖는 기존의 EPG 시스템으로는 사용자에게 불편함을 제공한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 PSIP (Program and System Information Protocol)의 정보 변경을 활용하여 프로그램의 선호도에 따라 원의 크기가 다르게 표현되고, 프로그램 상영 시간이 임박해짐에 따라 표시된 화면이 진동되는 등의 직관적인 판단이 가능한 새로운 형태의 사용자 맞춤형 EPG 시스템을 구현하였다.

IPTV 사용성 향상을 위한 LED 버튼 가이드 (A Study on the LED Button Guide to improve the IPTV's Usability)

  • 현재 상용화되어 서비스되고 있는 IPTV(Internet Protocol TV)는 양방향 서비스를 제공하기 위해 기존의 일반 TV와 달리 복잡한 GUI(Graphical User Interface)로 구성되어 있다. 또한 이렇게 복잡해진 GUI 를 제어하기 위한 리모컨 버튼의 개수가 증가하여 현 IPTV 리모컨은 IPTV 사용성을 저해시키는 요인으로 작용하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 IPTV 사용성 향상을 위한 방법으로 LED 버튼 가이드를 제안하고, 사용자 평가를 통해 제안된 리모컨 인터페이스가 어떠한 방식으로 사용자의 행동에 영향을 주고 사용성을 향상시킬 수 있는지에 관해 분석해 보았다.
