파랑 통계자료의 특성과 신뢰성 검토 (The Characteristics of Wave Statistical Data and Quality Assurance)

  • This paper discusses the influence on long-tenn predictions of the ship response in ocean by using the Global Wave Statistics data, GWS, and wave information from the remote sensing satellites. GWS's standard scatter diagrams of significant wave height and zero-crossing wave period are suggested to be corrected to a round number of 0.01/1000 fitted with a statistical analytic model of the conditional lognormal distribution for zero-crossing wave period. The GEOSAT satellite data are utilized which presented by I. R. Young and G. J. Holland (1996, named as GEOSAT data). At first, qualities of this data are investigated, and statistical characteristic trends are studied by means of applying known probability distribution functions. The wave height data of GEOSAT are compared to the data observed onboard merchant ships, the data observed by measure instrument installed on the ocean-going container ship and so on. To execute a long-tenn prediction of ship response, joint probability functions between wave height and wave period are introduced, therefore long-term statistical predictions are executed by using the functions.

분류 앙상블 모형에서 Lasso-bagging과 WAVE-bagging 가지치기 방법의 성능비교 (Comparison of ensemble pruning methods using Lasso-bagging and WAVE-bagging)

  • 분류 앙상블 모형이란 여러 분류기들의 예측 결과를 통합하여 더욱 정교한 예측성능을 가진 분류기를 만들기 위한 융합방법론이라 할 수 있다. 분류 앙상블을 구성하는 분류기들이 높은 예측 정확도를 가지고 있으면서 서로 상이한 모형으로 이루어져 있을 때 분류 앙상블 모형의 정확도가 높다고 알려져 있다. 하지만, 실제 분류 앙상블 모형에는 예측 정확도가 그다지 높지 않으며 서로 유사한 분류기도 포함되어 있기 마련이다. 따라서 분류 앙상블 모형을 구성하고 있는 여러 분류기들 중에서 서로 상이하면서도 정확도가 높은 것만을 선택하여 앙상블 모형을 구성해 보는 가지치기 방법을 생각할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 Lasso 회귀분석 방법을 이용하여 분류기 중에 일부를 선택하여 모형을 만드는 방법과 가중 투표 앙상블 방법론의 하나인 WAVE-bagging을 이용하여 분류기 중 일부를 선택하는 앙상블 가지치기 방법을 비교하였다. 26개 자료에 대해 실험을 한 결과 WAVE-bagging 방법을 이용한 분류 앙상블 가지치기 방법이 Lasso-bagging을 이용한 방법보다 더 우수함을 보였다.

  • In this paper, the blow-up rate of $L^2$-norm for the semi-linear wave equation with a power nonlinearity is obtained in the bounded domain for any p > 1. We also get the blow-up rate of the derivative under the condition 1 < p < $1+\frac{4}{N-1}$ for $N{\geq}2$ or 1 < p < 5 for N = 1.

Quantum Jump Approach to Stimulated Absorption and Emission

  • In this paper a new theory is presented to treat the problem of stimulated absorption and emission of photons between energy levels from the standpoint of discrete quantum jumps. In order to implement the theory a scheme to avoid the quantum Zeno effect is proposed. Numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate that this approach does not contradict the principles of the standard wave mechanics. It is shown that with this approach one can obtain photon observation statistics as well.

  • In this paper, the main purpose is to study existence of the global attractors for the weakly damped wave equation with nonlinear boundary conditions. To this end, we first show that the existence o a bounded absorbing set by the perturbed energy method. Secondly, we utilize the decomposition of the solution operator to verify the asymptotic compactness.

BLS 무응답 보정법을 이용한 대체법과 이월대체법에 관한 연구 (A Comparison of BLS Non-Response Adjustment and Cross-Wave Regression Imputation Methods)

  • 패널 자료에서 무응답이 발생한 경우에는 횡시점회귀대체법(cross-wave regression imputation) 등과 같은 대체법을 이용하여 무응답 문제를 해결한다. 최근 표본 틀(sampling frame) 자료를 이용하여 무응답 가중치 보정을 하는 BLS 무응답 보정법은 패널 자료에도 적용 가능한 방법으로 알려져있다. 본 논문에서는 패널자료에서 BLS 무응답 보정법을 이용한 대체법을 연구하였으며 자료가 경향이 있는 비정상시계열(nonstationary process with drift)을 따른 다는 조건하에서 BLS 무응답 보정법과 횡시점회귀대체법의 하나인 이월대체법(carry-over imputation)과의 이론적 관계를 살펴보았다. 모의실험을 통하여 이론적인 결과를 확인하였으며, 2007년 매월노동통계 자료를 이용하여 두 방법의 우수성을 비교하였다.

Stochastic elastic wave analysis of angled beams

  • The stochastic finite element method is employed to obtain a stochastic dynamic model of angled beams subjected to impact loads when uncertain material properties are described by random fields. Using the perturbation technique in conjunction with a precise time integration method, a random analysis approach is developed for efficient analysis of random elastic waves. Formulas for the mean, variance and covariance of displacement, strain and stress are introduced. Statistics of displacement and stress waves is analyzed and effects of bend angle and material stochasticity on wave propagation are studied. It is found that the elastic wave correlation in the angled section is the most significant. The mean, variance and covariance of the stress wave amplitude decrease with an increase in bend angle. The standard deviation of the beam material density plays an important role in longitudinal displacement wave covariance.

제주도 동부 해안대수층의 수리특성 산정과 지하수위 예측 (Estimation of Hydraulic Characteristics and Prediction of Groundwater Level in the Eastern Coastal Aquifer of Jeju Island)

  • Due to tidal force, it is very difficult to estimate the hydraulic parameters of high permeable aquifer near coastal area in Jeju Island. Therefore, to eliminate the impact of tidal force from groundwater level and estimate the hydraulic properties, tidal response technique has been mainly studied. In this study we have extracted 38 tidal constituents from groundwater level and harmonic constants including frequency, amplitude, and phase of each constituent using T_TIDE subroutine which is used to estimate oceanic tidal constituents, and then we have estimated hydraulic diffusivity associated with amplitude attenuation factor(that is the ratio of groundwater level amplitude to sea level amplitude for each tidal constituent) and phase lag(that is phase difference between groundwater level and sea level for each constituent). Also using harmonic constants for each constituent, we made the sinusoidal wave and then we constructed the synthesized wave which linearly combined sinusoidal wave. Finally, we could get residuals(net groundwater level) which was excluded most of tidal influences by eliminating synthesized wave from raw groundwater level. As a result of comparing statistics for synthesized level and net groundwater level, we found that the statistics for net groundwater level was more insignificant than those of synthesized wave. Moreover, in case of coastal aquifer which the impact of tidal force is even more than those of other environmental factors such as rainfall and groundwater yield, it is possible to predict groundwater level using synthesized wave and regression analysis of residuals.

  • 교류 전원이 인가된 절연체가 열화되면 방전에 의한 방사 전자파는 주기성을 갖는 특징적 발생시간 분포를 보인다. 이러한 분포의 특징을 최적으로 분별하기 위해 방사전자파의 수신 주파수 및 수신 대역폭을 결정하기 위한 실험을 하였다. 방사전자파의 스펙트럼은 발생대역은 넓지만 시변 특징을 가지므로 수신 주파수보다는 수신 대역폭이 수신기의 성능에 영향을 미치고 적어도 900kHz 이상의 수신 대역폭이 요구된다.

Parametric Modeling and Shape Optimization of Offshore Structures

  • The paper presents an optimization system which integrates a parametric design tool, 3D diffraction-radiation analysis and hydrodynamic performance assessment based on short and long term wave statistics. Controlled by formal optimization strategies the system is able to design offshore structure hulls with superior seakeeping qualities. The parametric modeling tool enables the designer to specify the geometric characteristics of the design from displacement over principal dimensions down to local shape properties. The computer generates the hull form and passes it on to the hydrodynamic analysis, which computes response amplitude operators (RAOs) for forces and motions. Combining the RAOs with short and long-term wave statistics provides a realistic assessment of the quality of the design. The optimization algorithm changes selected shape parameters in order to minimize forces and motions, thus increasing availability and safety of the system. Constraints ensure that only feasible designs with sufficient stability in operation and survival condition are generated. As an example the optimization study of a semisubmersible is discussed. It illustrates how offshore structures can be optimized for a specific target area of operation.
