The purpose of this study is to link the Yi tribe's traditional patterns to bag design. Yi tribe is a minor ethic group in China, whose traditional pattern has a high artistic value in that its shapes are diverse and each one has peculiar elegance. Traditional patterns are also indicative of spiritual dept or symbolic stories, rather than being indicative of simple formative beauty. Thus, reorganizing these patterns and applying them artistically to design- in terms of resource utilization- would be significant. Out of all of the Yi tribe's traditional patterns, the cherry blossom_(马樱花), water wave_(水波), sky father and earth mother_(天父地母), pomegranate blossom, triangle, sheep' horn, wisteria vine_(藤条), square and diaper_(四角菱形) and the zigzag_(曲折) patterns were chosen for use during the development of a bag design. This study is based upon document study, including research papers and internet web sites, the point of which was to investigate the form of the traditional patterns, and the creative design process. The design procedure includes these sub-processes: selection, arrangement and color-scheme. In the selection process, the form of the pattern was edited using Adobe Photoshop. The pattern was freely arranged to reflect various emotions. In terms of the color-scheme of the patterns, the colors used by Henri Matisse(1869-1954) in his work were selected and adapted when dyeing the patterns. Subsequently, the final design resulting from these design development processes was applied to the actual production of the bag by using canvas fabric and leather, after which the bag image was proposed using computer simulation. In conclusion, six bag designs were created using traditional patterns from the Yi tribe. Through the processes explained above, this study confirmed that traditional patterns could be widely applied as design motifs and that more sophisticated, modern, and creative designs could be developed based on traditional patterns.
This study aimed to examine whether adolescents' self-esteem mediates the relationship between adolescent-teacher relationship and the intrinsic life goals of adolescents. This study used 1,776 cases from the sixth-wave data of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS). This study conducted a hierarchical regression analysis and a Sobel test to examine whether the mediation effect was significant. Primary findings are summarized as follows: First, adolescents who had a good relationship with their teacher were more likely to have better intrinsic life goals. Second, adolescents who had a good relationship with their teacher were found to have higher levels of self-esteem. Third, the effect of adolescents' relationship with teachers on intrinsic life goals was found to be partially mediated by self-esteem. This study concludes with implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research.
The purpose of this study was to develop and empirically evaluate a theoretical model that delineated the processes whereby parents' socioeconomic status affected students'academic achievement via parental support and students' ego-resilience. The proposed model was tested with the first and second wave of a cohort sample of the first grade middle school students from the Korean Children Youth Panel survey by using linear structural relations techniques. The results of analysis showed firstly that parents' socioeconomic status, parental support and students' ego-resilience directly affected the level of students'academic achievement with statistical significance. Secondly, parental support, the proxy of social capital of the family, was contingent upon the parents'socioeconomic status. Thirdly, in addition to its direct effect, parents'socioeconomic status gave indirect effect on students' academic performance through parental support and ego-resilience. Based upon these results implications for social work intervention were provided.
In order to estimate chaff RCS, we suggest here a novel method using the probability distribution. Normally, a chaff is assumed that it is a thin dipole antenna and the RCS can be calculated by the scattering wave theory. Most of the theoretical methods presented were mainly focusing on a single chaff cloud. In this paper, the RCS calculation was done for two or more chaff clouds and the changes of RCS with azimuth angle were observed. Matlab was used for presenting the probability distribution of chaff clouds and RCS calculation. A more accurate RCS estimation method is suggested by estimating the number of chaffs except the blocked elements.
Over the last three decades, advances in AMS (Accelerator Mass Spectrometry) and Noble Gas Mass Spectrometer make various application of terrestrial cosmogenic nuclides (CNs) to wide range of earth surface sciences possible. Dating techniques can be divided into three sub-approaches: simple surface exposure dating, depth-profile dating, and burial dating, depending on the condition of targeted surfaces. In terms of Korean landscape view, CNs dating can be applied to fluvial and marine terrace, alluvial fan, tectonic landform (fault scarp and faulted surfaces), debris landforms such as rock fall, talus, block field and stream, lacustrine and marine wave-cut platform, cave deposits, Pliocene basin fill and archaeological sites. In addition, in terms of lithology, the previous limit to quartz-rich rocks such as granite and gneiss can be expanded to volcanic and carbonate rocks with the help of recent advances in CNs analysis in those rocks.

The financial industry, which guarantees a credible transaction and can not permit forgery of its transaction information, has hitherto adhered to a traditional centralized ledger management method. However, the blockchain technology has a decentralization which has been regarded as unsafe for the time being, and the more reliable transaction agreement and data integrity are guaranteed The world's financial industry and the IT world is causing the wave. Nevertheless, the inherent characteristics of the blockchain, such as the irreversibility of block information within a blockchain and the sharing of blocks between blockchain participants, can not avoid conflicts with the privacy laws. The purpose of this study is to investigate the problems related to deletion and the third party supply of personal information by focusing on these characteristics of the blockchain and to suggest the technical alternatives of the applicable blockchain and the improvement direction of the personal information protection law for using of blockchain technology.
Background: For efficient management of an organization's human resource, it is crucial to increase the job satisfaction of women managers, since it is closely related to an individual's job performance and company's one. In this regard, this research explores how women managers' job stress and managerial efficacy affect their job satisfaction. Methods: This research uses the fifth wave of Korean Women Manager Panel (KWMP) collected in 2015. The 1,537 women managers who work at a company with 100 or more employees are employed and the data are analyzed using ordinary least squares (OLS). Results: Income, job stress, and managerial efficacy have a statistically significant effect on job satisfaction. In addition, managerial efficacy has a moderating effect between job-related stress and job satisfaction. Conclusions: This study suggests the meaningful findings that in terms of boosting women manager's job satisfaction, it is requested to promote their managerial efficacy at the human resource management level.
This study is to find ways to improve the daily life satisfaction of people with disability through interpersonal relation and self-efficacy. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and regression analysis by SPSS 21.0 were applied to 1,483 out of 4,400 of Penal Survey of Employment for the Disabled 2nd Wave. The study show that the interpersonal relation had a positive effect on self-efficacy and daily life satisfaction. Self-efficacy influenced positive effect to life satisfaction and played a mediating role between interpersonal relation and daily life satisfaction. Based on the conclusion that daily life satisfaction can be enhanced through the improvement of interpersonal relations and self-efficacy, this study made policy suggestions to improve interpersonal relations and self-efficacy.
Objective: The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of wearing an ankle weight belt while performing gait in water by focusing on the effect of using ankle weights have on the gait kinematics and the muscle activities for developing optimum training strategies. Method: A total of 10 healthy male university students were recruited for the study. Each participant was instructed to perform 3 gait conditions; normal walking over ground, walking in water chest height, and walking in water chest height while using ankle weights. All walking conditions were set at control speed of $4km/h{\pm}0.05km/h$. The depth of the swimming pool was at 1.3 m, approximately chest height. The motion capture data was recorded using 6 digital cameras and the EMG was recorded using waterproof Mini Wave. From the motion capture data, the following variables were calculated for analysis; double and single support phase (s), swing phase (s), step length (%height), step rate (m/s), ankle, knee, and hip joint angles ($^{\circ}$). From the electromyography the %RVC of the lower limb muscles medial gastrocnemius, rectus femoris, erector spinae, semitendinosus, tibialis anterior, vastus lateralis oblique was calculated. Results: The results show significant differences between the gait time, and step length between the right and left leg. Additionally, the joint angular velocities and gait velocity were significantly affected by the water resistance. As expected, the use of the ankle weights increased all of the lower leg maximum muscle activities except for the lower back muscle. Conclusion: In conclusion, the ankle weights can be shown to stimulate more muscle activity during walking in chest height water and therefore, may be useful for rehabilitation purposes.
