기울기 추적파를 이용한 심전도의 P-파 및 T-파 검출 알고리즘 (A P-wave and T-wave detection algorithm in EGG by using slope tracing waves)

  • In this study, a P- and T-wave detection algorithm in ECG, obtained by minimized filtering to prevent waveform distortion, has been realized. The algorithm uses two slope tracing waves, the descending slope tracing wave and the ascending slope tracing wave, developed for efficient determination of slope inverting points and sudden slope changing points. The algorithm generates the slope tracing waves which trace the original ECG wave, and subtracts one tracing wave from the other to detect P- and T-waves. The algorithm has been applied to MIT/BIH database in order to verify its efficacy and validity in practical applications.

  • 상용화된 Wave Steganography가 가지고 있는 Mask가 쉽게 필터링 될 수 있다는 문제점을 개선하고 Capacity를 높여 Cover-data 선택의 폭을 확장시킬 수 있는 $\delta$SAcc234bit Mask Data Insertion 알고리즘을 설계 구현하였다. 또한 Mask 의 보안수준을 향상시키기 위해 3-Tier 파일 암호화 알고리즘도 제안하고 적용하였다. 3-Tier 파일 암호화 알고리즘은 파일에 따라 Ciphertext에 특정한 패턴이 나타난다는 문제점을 개선한 알고리즘이다. 본 논문에서 제안한 $\delta$SAcc234bit Mask Data Insertion 알고리즘과 3-Tier 파일 암호화 알고리즘을 이용하여 Wave Steganography를 수행해주는 StegoWaveK 모델을 설계 구현하였다.

  • This paper describes an algorithm of P-wave detection by significant point extraction method with digital differentiation. P-waves are detected by pattern matching algorithm with significant points. By means of defecting onset and offset points of P-waves, this algorithm can measure the PR intervals exactly which is important to diagnosis the atrial arrhythmia. Because P-wave duration is changed according to heart-rates, we calculate the R-R interval prior to the determination of P-wave duration threshold values in order to actively adapt to the change of P duration The results obtained from the proposed algorithm have defected successfully P-wave almost more than 90%.

  • This paper presents a new algorithm for P-wave detection in the ECG signal. We detect the peak and valley point using significant point extraction algorithm with 9-point derivative. Because P-wave duration is changed according to heart-rates, we search for the R-peak and calculate the R-R interval time prior to the determination of P-wave duration threshold values in order to actively adapt to the change of P duration. We determine the parameters for P-wave detection and then P-peak, P-onset and P-offset are detected by these parameters. The results obtained from the proposed algorithm have detected successively P-wave almost more than 90%.

  • This paper describes the upgrade of an existing wave information retrieval algorithm by employing noise reduction in the pixel domain. Several algorithms for collecting wave information parameters from X-band radar image sequences including the wind field and current velocity have been developed over the past three decades. Using these algorithms, a band-pass filter (BPF) is applied to remove the non-wave contribution from the image spectra after the sea surface current velocity has been computed. However, such BPF designs have been both complex and insufficient in removing undesired components in X-band radar images. For this study, to improve the performance of wave information retrieval, an efficient noise reduction algorithm is incorporated into a regular wave information retrieval process. That is, the proposed algorithm was designed for operation in a more proper manner by effectively removing the undesired components in the pixel domain. Experiment results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm produces very close estimates to the buoy data records under undesirable noise conditions.

  • 본 연구에서는 부정맥 판독을 위해 심전도 신호로부터 P파의 강조 및 검출 방법을 제안하였다. 이 방법에서는 고전적인 필터나 이동평균필터를 사용하지 않고 하강 기울기의 변곡점을 검출하기에 효과적인 하강 기울기 추적파를 이용하여 고주파 잡음을 무시해 주는 필터 용도로 사용함과 동시에 진폭이 낮고 불명확한 P파와 T파를 강조해 줌으로써 이들의 검출을 용이하게 하였다. 이 강조 및 검출 방법을 MIT/BIH 데이터에 적용하여 구현하였으며 그 실용성을 확인하였다.

  • The detection of P-waves and T-wave in the electrocardiogram signal analysis is an important issue. But the accuracy of the boundary detection algorithm is an insufficient level in the change of slow transition in the signal compared to the QRS complex. This study proposes an algorithm to detect P-wave and T-wave sequentially after determining local baseline using QRS complex. First, we detected the peak points based on local baseline and determined the onset and offset through the calculation of the area of the section. After modifying the baseline using detected waveform, we detected the other waveform in the same way and separated the P-wave and the T-wave based on the location. We used the PhysioNet QT database to evaluate the performances of the algorithm, and calculate the mean and the standard deviations. The experiment results show that standard deviations are under the tolerances accepted by expert physicians, and outperform the results obtained by the other algorithms.

  • Active control has been partly applied to suppress the re-reflecting waves in wave basin with plunger-type wave maker to obtain desirable waves. This limitation comes from the non-confirmable theoretical background to the control algorithm. This paper proposes control logic to overcome this drawback, based on the impulse response function for propagating waves between control input and the wave height. The performances have been verified as reasonable in practical application by comparing with the propagating wave components in numerical wave basin, using wave decomposition method. Moreover, the control logic can also give useful wave-absorbing performance after cessation of wave generation.

충격 추진력 변화를 이용한 지진 P파 자동 검출 알고리즘 (Automatic Seismic P-wave Detection Algorithm Using Variations of Impact Momentum)

  • In this paper, we propose an automatic earthquake P-wave detection algorithm based on the variations of the impact momentum derived from the seismic acceleration signals. The amount of change in the impact momentum induced by the acceleration refers to the influence of buildings or facilities on the earthquake, The proposed algorithm can effectively detect the seismic P-wave by simultaneously considering the amplitude and the frequency change of the seismic wave when the earthquake occurs. Computer simulations using the observed seismic signals were performed to evaluate the validity of the induced impact momentum variation and the superiority of the proposed algorithm.

Double-Bagging Ensemble Using WAVE

  • A classification ensemble method aggregates different classifiers obtained from training data to classify new data points. Voting algorithms are typical tools to summarize the outputs of each classifier in an ensemble. WAVE, proposed by Kim et al. (2011), is a new weight-adjusted voting algorithm for ensembles of classifiers with an optimal weight vector. In this study, when constructing an ensemble, we applied the WAVE algorithm on the double-bagging method (Hothorn and Lausen, 2003) to observe if any significant improvement can be achieved on performance. The results showed that double-bagging using WAVE algorithm performs better than other ensemble methods that employ plurality voting. In addition, double-bagging with WAVE algorithm is comparable with the random forest ensemble method when the ensemble size is large.
