OFDM/16QAM 시스템에서 강건한 워터마크가 삽입된 영상의 전송 (Transmission of Image Embedded with Robust Watermark through OFDM/16QAM System)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상에 삽입된 디지털 워터마킹을 무선 채널상에서 신뢰성 있게 전송하는 기법에 대해 연구하였다. 멀티미디어 영상을 무선 채널에서 전송할 때는 높은 비트 에러율 때문에 데이터 손실이 발생하게 되는데, 이로 인하여 영상에 삽입된 워터마킹도 손상받게 된다. 본 논문에서는 무선 채널에서 영상에 삽입된 워터마킹의 손상을 경감시키기 위해 오류 정정 기법을 도입하였다. 워터마킹이 삽입된 영상을 OFDM/16QAM으로 변조하여 무선상으로 전송하였을 때, 오류 정정 기법의 채택 여부에 따른 수신단에서의 데이터 에러율을 비교하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 오류 정정 기법을 사용한 경우 디지털 워터마킹을 삽입한 영상이 손상되어 수신되더라도 워터마킹 데이터는 심한 손상을 받지 않고 수신이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a digital watermarking for color still image using the characteristics of human visual system and the achromatic block information. We use a binary watermark signal and insert watermark signal in the chromatic component region of YCrCb color space. In order to extract the watermark signal, we extracted the watermark signal by presuming that modified pattern of chromatic saturation without using original an image. Experimental results show that the proposed watermarking method has a good performance to embed watermark signal and extract one.

  • Using intelligent information contained within the speech to identify the specific hidden data in the watermarked multimedia data is considered to be an efficient method to achieve the speech digital watermarking. This paper presents the performance comparison between various types of speech codec in order to determine an appropriate one to be used in digital watermarking applications. In the experiments, the speech signal encoded by four different types of speech codec, namely CELP, GSM, SBC and G.723.1codecs is embedded into a grayscale image, and theirs performance in term of speech recognition are compared. The method for embedding the speech signal into the host data is borrowed from a watermarking method based on the zerotrees of wavelet packet coefficients. To evaluate efficiency of the speech codec used in watermarking applications, the speech signal after being extracted from the attacked watermarked image will be played back to the listeners, and then be justified whether its content is intelligible or not.

Audio Watermarking through Modification of Tonal Maskers

  • Watermarking has become a technology of choice for a broad range of multimedia copyright protection applications. This paper proposes an audio watermarking scheme that uses the modified tonal masker as an embedding carrier for imperceptible and robust audio watermarking. The method of embedding is to select one of the tonal maskers using a secret key, and to then modify the frequency signals that consist of the tonal masker without changing the sound pressure level. The modified tonal masker can be found using the same secret key without the original sound, and the embedded information can be extracted. The results show that the frequency signals are stable enough to keep embedded watermarks against various common signal processing types, while at the same time the proposed scheme has a robust performance.

  • In this paper, a new digital audio watermarking algorithm is presented. The proposed algorithm embeds watermark into audio signal based on human auditory system (HAS). This algorithm is a blind audio watermarking method, which does not require any prior information during watermark extraction process. This algorithm finds watermarking position using time-domain masking effect. First we insert the watermark into wavelet domain, and then we use a back-propagation neural network (BPN) to learn the characteristics of relationship between the watermark and the watermarked audio. Due to the teaming and adaptive capabilities of the BPN, the false recovery of the watermark can be greatly reduced by the trained BPN. Experimental results show that the proposed method has good inaudibility and high robustness to common audio processing attacks.

  • Wavelet transforms are used for implementing digital watermarking methods in the frequency domain. In this paper, we construct the digital watermarking using various wavelet transforms such as the Daubechies transform, Coiflets transform, Symlets transform and the biorthogonal transform, and we compare each digital watermarking method with the others. We investigate the preservation of the watermark after the data compression attack based on the discrete on the discrete cosine transform. We show that the biorthogonal wavelet, denoted by bior3.5, has the best performance among the wavelet types we selected in an experiment.

  • Digital image watermarking techniques have been studied in various fields in order to protect the copyright of multimedia contents mostly composed by images. JPEG compression is a representative copyright attack for image watermarking. The CRT-based watermarking methods in DCT domain have been studied, because these are robust for JPEG compression attack. In this paper, we propose a new method with improved performance compared with the existing CRT based methods in DCT domain. The proposed method selects the DCT block according to the denseness at the watermark insertion phase, and iteratively adjust the CRT Conditional coefficients at the watermark extraction. This paper shows that it is more robust for the JPEG compression attacks through experimental results.

  • In this paper, a novel watermarking technique is proposed to authenticate the owner-ship of copyright for the digital contents. Using the 2-level DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform) we divide a specific frequency band into detailed blocks and apply PIM(picture information measure). After the complexity is calculated, the watermark is embedded in only on high complexity areas. Conventional watermarking technique damages to the original image, because it does not consider the feature of the whole area or a specific frequency band. Easily affected by noise and compression, it is difficult to extract the watermark. However, the proposed watermarking technique, considering the complexity of input image, does not damage to the original image Simulation result show that the proposed technique has the robustness of JPEG compression, noise and filtering such as a general signal processing

Secure and Novel Watermarking System Based on Complemented MLCA and 2D CAT

  • A secure and novel watermarking system based on complemented Maximum Length Cellular Automata (MLCA) and Two-Dimension Cellular Automata Transform (2D CAT) is proposed. In this watermarking scheme, the original watermark which is first encrypted by complemented MLCA with the private keys, and the encrypted watermark is embedded into the CAT domain of the cover image. Experiment results show that this new method is more secure and provides robust performance against watermarking attacks.

  • 대부분의 영상 워터마킹 기법은 공격에 대한 강인성과 비가시성을 동시에 만족시키기 위하여 중간 주파수 영역에 워터마크를 삽입하는데 반해, 본 논문에서는 웨이브렛 분해된 입력 영상에서 가장 낮은 주파수 성분들을 갖는 부대역의 계수들에 워터마크 정보를 삽입하는 새로운 워터마킹 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 새로운 워터마크 삽입 알고리즘은 삽입된 워터마크 비트의 강인성을 보다 높이도록 하기 위해 웨이브렛 최저주파수 대역에서 랜덤하게 선택된 계수들에 대해 양자화 방식을 이용하여 삽입이 이루러진다. 실험 결과에서 나타난 것처럼 제안한 새로운 삽입 방식이 비가시성과 강인성 측면에서 우수한 특성을 보이는 것을 확인하였다.
