We propose a blind watermarking method that embeds a binary pseudo-random sequence (watermarks), (-1, 1), into wavelet dc components, while most watermarking techniques embed watermarks in the middle frequency range for robustness and fidelity. In our scheme, the watermarks are embedded into particular locations to be selected by a key, where some watermark embeddings are skipped to avoid severe degradation in quality. Our robustness is compared to some results registered to the ChechMark [1] that is one of the most popular benchmarking tools.

We proposed a novel digital video watermarking that embeds dual watermarks in the block DCT domain to solve the deadlock problem. Daul watermarks are composed of private watermarks and robust blind watermarks. Firstly, private watermarks are embedded into the lowest AC coefficients of the P or B-frames in accordance with the motion direction gained from a previous frame. Secondly, blind watermarks that have the robustness are inserted into the DC coefficients of the I-frames using a private key made from temporal I-frame motion information. Thus, when a deadlock situation occurs, the proposed algorithm can efficiently solve the problem. Experimental results confirmed that the proposed algorithm can produce good subjective and objective results for MPEG coding with a variety of bit rates. Furthermore, the proposed watermarking algorithm can potentially be applied to broadcasting monitoring systems due to its simplicity and high robustness.
A zero-watermarking algorithm in transform domain based on RGB channel and voting strategy is proposed. The registration and identification of ownership have achieved copyright protection for color images. In the ownership registration, discrete wavelet transform (DWT), discrete cosine transform (DCT), and singular value decomposition (SVD) are used comprehensively because they have the characteristics of multi-resolution, energy concentration and stability, which is conducive to improving the robustness of the proposed algorithm. In order to take full advantage of the characteristics of the image, we use three channels of R, G, and B of a color image to construct three master shares, instead of using data from only one channel. Then, in order to improve security, the master share is superimposed with the copyright watermark encrypted by the owner's key to generate an ownership share. When the ownership is authenticated, copyright watermarks are extracted from the three channels of the disputed image. Then using voting decisions, the final copyright information is determined by comparing the extracted three watermarks bit by bit. Experimental results show that the proposed zero watermarking scheme is robust to conventional attacks such as JPEG compression, noise addition, filtering and tampering, and has higher stability in various common color images.
A digital watermarking is a newly developed scheme to embed invisible or inaudible information Into the host data in order to insist the copyright of the owner or the creator. This paper describes a robust data embedding scheme that employs inner product and adaptive quantization. Compared to the previous works for digital watermarking, our proposed scheme can embed relatively large amount of Information, since a secrete key Is not directly relaxed to the watermark data. A secret key is used for the design of random direction vectors. which are taken Inner product with the DCT transformed feature set data. In odder to achieve robustness against malicious attacks. we exploit the Properties of human visual system In designing the random direction vectors which behave as embedded noises. Experimental results show that we can recover the embedded information without utilizing the original host data. We also demonstrate that the ownership assertion is possible even though The watermarked data may undergo common signal processing operations, such as JPEG compression. clopping. and filtering.

Digital watermarking is a technique used to hide information within digital media. Digital watermarking techniques can be classified as either robust watermarking or fragile watermarking. Robust watermarking techniques are generally used for the purpose of copyright protection. In addition, fragile watermarking techniques are used for the authentication and integrity verification of a digital image. Therefore, fragile watermarks should be easily breakable for trivial tampering of a watermarked image. This paper proposes an efficient fragile watermarking method for image tamper detection in the spatial domain. In the proposed method, a hash code and symmetric key encryption algorithm are used. The proposed method of inserting a watermark by dividing the original image into many blocks of small sizes is not weak against attacks, such as cut and paste. The proposed method can detect the manipulated parts of a watermarked image without testing the entire block of the image.

This paper presents a watermarking method for copyright protection and illegal copy prevention of mobile 3D contents. The proposed method embeds copyright information and user's phone number into spatial domain and encryption domain of mobile animation data based on Buyer-Seller watermarking protocol. Furthermore, we insert user's operation key so that only authorized user can play 3D animation game in mobile device. We implemented the proposed method by using mobile animation tool, G3-SDK. From experimental results, we verified that the proposed method is capable of copyright protection and illegal copy prevention since the watermark can be well extracted against geometrical attacks, such as noise addition, data accuracy variableness and data up/down scaling.

High dynamic range (HDR) images are becoming pervasive due to capturing or rendering of a wider range of luminance, but their special display equipment is difficult to be popularized because of high cost and technological problem. Thus, HDR images must be adapted to the conventional display devices by applying tone mapping (TM) operation, which puts forward higher requirements for intellectual property protection of HDR images. As the robustness presents regional diversity in the low dynamic range (LDR) watermarked image after TM, which is different from the traditional watermarking technologies, a concept of watermarking activity is defined and used to distinguish the essential distinction of watermarking between LDR image and HDR image in this paper. Then, a novel robust HDR image watermarking algorithm is proposed against TM operations. Firstly, based on the hybrid processing of redundant discrete wavelet transform and singular value decomposition, the watermark is embedded by modifying the structure information of the HDR image. Distinguished from LDR image watermarking, the high embedding strength can cause more obvious distortion in the high brightness regions of HDR image than the low brightness regions. Thus, a perceptual brightness mask with low complexity is designed to improve the imperceptibility further. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is robust to the existing TM operations, with taking into account the imperceptibility and embedded capacity, which is superior to the current state-of-art HDR image watermarking algorithms.

An effective video watermarking algorithm is proposed to protect the copyright. The watermarking procedure is based on a three-dimensional discrete wavelet transform (3D DWT) and spread spectrum sequences. Two perceptual binary watermarks are preprocessed using mixing and pseudorandom permutation. After dividing the video sequence into video shots, the 3D DWT is performed, then the preprocessed watermarks are embedded into the 3D DWT coefficients, while considering robustness and invisibility, using two spread spectrum sequences defined as the user key. Experimental results show that the watermarked frames are subjectively indistinguishable from the original frames, plus the proposed video watermarking algorithm is sufficiently robust against such attacks as low pass filtering, frame dropping, frame average, and MPEG coding.
An anonymous asymmetric fingerprinting protocol combined with watermarking techniques, is one of the copyright protection technologies keeping both right of a seller and that of a buyer, where a seller and an anonymous buyer perform such a protocol that employs various cryptographic tools in order that the seller does not know the exact watermarked copy that the buyer receives, while inserting an invisible non-removable fingerprint i.e., each different unique watermark, into each copy of the digital content to be sold. In such a protocol innocent buyers are kept anonymous during transactions, however, the unlawful reseller is unambiguously identified with a real identity as a copyright violator. In 2007, Yong and Lee proposed an anonymous asymmetric fingerprinting scheme with trusted third party. In this paper we point out the weakness of their scheme such as: the buyer with intention can remove the fingerprint in the watermarked content, because he/she can decrypt the encrypted fingerprint with a symmetric key using man-in-the-middle-attack; a real identity of a buyer can be revealed to the seller through the identification process even though he/she is honest. Furthermore, we propose an improved secure and efficient anonymous asymmetric fingerprinting scheme which enables to reduce the number of communication between the participants.
