플라스틱 관종의 물리적 상태예측모형 개발 (A Study of Physical Condition Predicting Model Development of Plastic Pipes in Water Mains)

  • This study suggested a model that can predict a degradation condition over time of two plastic pipes, PE and PVC, which are currently used in the country. This study was analyzed physical characteristics change of plastic pipes by comparison with initial physical characteristics (on the case of new pipes). Since this is dependent on accidents that already occurred, there are limitations that it only decides a priority on improvement based on relative corrosion status rather than precautionary aspects. The comparison results between physical degradation by the deducted performance rating and a conventional numerical scoring method showed that correlation coefficient was 0.67 for PE pipes and 0.86 for PVC pipes, indicating a high correlation. According to this result, it has been decided that the performance rating suggested herein can be applied naturally to the criterion of an improvement decision, which was based on Scoring System. From results of the research, it is expected that a reliable result can be provided to an improvement decision process related to degradation of plastic pipes by comprehensively comparing and evaluating a condition of pipe materials(direct factors) and an environmental impact(indirect factors).

보폐정천탕(補肺定喘湯)을 이용한 아토피 피부염 치료(治療)에 관한 임상연구 (The Clinical Study Of Atopic Dermatitis Treated By Bopejungcheuntang(BPJC))

  • The purpose of this study was on effect of Bopejungcheuntang(BPJC) for atopic dermatitis. During 5 months between January and May 2000, BPJC water extract administered to patient suffering from atopic dermatitis, in Dep. of Pediatrics, Dongguk university Pundang Oriental Hospital and this study was conducted for 27 patient (male 17, female 10) The result were as follows 1. The distribution of remedial values were improvement (51.9%), unresponsiveness(37.0%), depravation(11.1%). 2. After dispensing BPJC, ordinal sites of atopic dermatitis were inner space of elbow and knee joint, face and neck, back and abdomen, wrist and ankle. Befor and after dispensing BPJC this ordinal sites were similar but after dispensing BPJC, the other sites except head is improved. Order of symptomatic improvement is itching, licheniasis, erythema, exudate. Both itching and exudate is significantly improved. 3. According to way of water extract, symptomatic improvement is most excellent with general water extract & distiled water, the second is general water extract, the third is distiled water. 4. BPJC effect on atopic dermatitis is not significantly affected by sex, day of falling ill, medical treatment, resident environment, feeding, character and duration of medical treatment.

안양천 수질개선에 대한 주민의 사회적 선호 (Estimating of Social Preference of the Watershed Resident about the Anyangcheon Watershed Water Quality Improvement)

  • 본 연구는 조건부가치평가법 중 이중양분선택형 질문을 사용하여 안양천 유역의 수질개선에 대한 지불의사를 추정하였다. 선형로짓모형에서 전체 응답자의 지불의사액은 4,930원이었으며 서울지역 거주민과 경기지역 거주민의 차이는 없는 것으로 추정되었다. 응답자들은 전반적으로 조건부 시장을 잘 받아들였으며 가구당 월평균 3,860원에서 5,101원의 지불의사를 가지고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이 값을 전체지역으로 확장하면 연간 약 83.0억원에서 109.7억원에 해당한다. 본 연구는 정책결정자들이 향후 유역과 관련된 사업에서 의사결정과정에 유용한 연구과정과 정량적인 정보를 제공할 것으로 기대한다.

농업용수 수질측정망 자료 분석을 통한 농업용 호소의 수질관리방안 (Water Quality Management of Agricultural Lakes Through Analysis of Agricultural Water Quality Survey Network Data)

  • The data of the agricultural water quality survey network was analyzed between from 1990 to 2010 in order to propose effective plans for water quality management by analyzing the characteristics of agricultural lakes and the change of water quality. The result of the analysis shows that there is a correlation between water quality and items that can be a function of water depth such as dam height, dam length, dam height/dam length ratio and active storage/surface area of lake ratio. This means that, Korean agricultural lakes, there is a correlation between water quality and water depth. Water quality of the lakes that have lower than 5m of active storage/surface area of lake ratio (effective water depth) especially tends to get worse rapidly. The Chl-a and COD concentration of Korean agricultural lakes have a tendency to increase between June and September. Therefore, we recommend first taking a water quality improvement project for the lakes preformed watershed management project, and taking a preventive short-term water quality improvement project for the unperformed lakes before June among lakes that have lower than 5m of effective water depth.

댐내 수온성층 파괴를 위한 산기식 수중폭기설비 성능향상 실증연구 (Positive Research About Water Aeration Improvement to Break Thermal Stratification of Dam)

  • In Korea while the dam or reservoir is an important water resource, the value of this water resource is deteriorating by thermal-induced stratification. To ameliorate the water quality of reservoir by breaking stratification the use of air diffuser system is now widespread in Korea. According to the previous research, dynamics of bubble plume and destratification efficiency depended upon two dimensionless groupings; Mh and Pn suggested by Asaeda et al (1993). However, these two variables only include Q, N, H, g, u. and installed Boryeong reservior in appropriate width of water aeration, air dose and number of installations after calculating by applying these figures. This paper is performed to find out effect analysis about water aeration improvement to break thermal stratification.

습지-저류지에 의한 하구 담수호 수질개선 효과 예측 (Prediction of Water Quality improvement for Estuarine Reservoir using Wetland-Detention Pond System)

  • Investigated was the effectiveness of a constructed wetland system on water quality in Hwa-Ong estruarin reservoir, located in Hwasung-Gun, Kyunggi-Do. Procedures for estimation of pollutant loading from watershed and required area for natural systems, and simulation of corresponding reservoir water quality were reviewed. Generally, simulated reservoir water quality was within the reasonable range, and about 15% of total polder farmland was required to meet the agricultural water quality standards. The model was applied based on the current loading condition without additional treatment systems. Wetland system is an ecologically sound treatment system. Therefore, natural systems can be an alternative measure for water quality improvement in polder projects. The area for natural systems was estimated using literature value which might be acceptable at the planning stage. However, pilot system and its experimental data are requisite for large scale field application. WASP5 was proved to be a useful and versatile model, and its application to estuarine reservoir water quality simulation was thought to be appropriate.

Water Uptake and Tensile Properties of Plasma Treated Abaca Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composite

  • This work presents the tensile properties and water uptake behavior of plasma treated abaca fibers reinforced epoxy composites. The composites were prepared by vacuum assisted resin transfer molding. The effects of treatment on tensile properties and sorption characteristics of abaca fiber composites in distilled water and salt solution at room temperature were investigated. The tensile strength of the composites increased with plasma treatment. With plasma treatment, an improvement of 92.9% was obtained in 2.5 min exposure time in plasma. This is attributed to high fiber-matrix compatibility. Less improvement on tensile properties of hybrid treatment of sodium hydroxide and plasma was obtained. However, both treatments reduced overall water uptake in distilled water and salt solution. Hydrophilicity of the fibers decreased upon plasma and sodium hydroxide treatment, which decreases water uptake.

연약점토의 함수비 변화가 고화처리토의 강도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Water Content Change of Soft Clay on Strength of Solidification Agent Treated Soil)

  • The improvement effect of soft ground is estimated by unconfined strength mainly. The unconfined strength of solidification agent treated soil is likely to vary with ununiformed mixing ratio and water content change of in-situ ground place by place. So, it is unreasonable to apply a solidification agent mixing ratio obtained from laboratory test results on all over the soft ground. In this study, it was analysed how the unconfined strength would be effected by the water content of soft ground. For this study, a series of unconfined compressive tests are peformed on various water content soil samples. The test results showed that the strength was fallen to 30∼80% by two times increase of water content approximately, This means that strength of solidification agent treated soil is influenced greatly by water content of raw soft ground and mixing ratio of solidification agent. It was suggested that the method how to decide the mixing ratio with soft ground water content.

섬진강수계의 오염원 관리방안에 따른 수질 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Water Quality according to the Pollution Management Plan of Seomjin River Water System)

  • 본 연구는 전라북도 섬진강수계의 수질을 예측 분석하여 수질을 개선하는 시나리오를 구성하여 결과를 산출하였다. 결과적으로 공공하수처리시설의 배출수 관리강화 및 오염물질 관리 개선과 국내 축산계 감소에 따라 수질이 최대 BOD 15.32 %, T-N 7.17 %, T-P 62.86 %로 개선된 것으로 분석되었다. 효율적인 감축 계획수립, 오염부하량 저감계획, 하수 처리 효율 증대 계획, 공공하수처리시설 확대로 인한 오염물질 감소 및 총 오염 부하 동물 배설물 에너지 회수 등 다양한 삭감계획을 보완한 것으로 분석되었다. 자연증가 및 경제발전을 고려한 수질 개선 계획에 대한 연구개발은 수질 개선에 효율적이다.

비진행성 갑상선암 환자에 대한 제주워터의 항피로 효능에 대한 유효성과 안전성 평가 예비 임상연구 - 무작위배정, 이중맹검, 삼군위약대조군 연구 (Effects of Vanadium Water on Cancer-related Fatigue of Non Advanced Thyroid Cancer Patients: Randomized, Three armed, Triple Blinded Controlled Trial)

  • Objective : This study was conducted to evaluate of efficacy and safety of Vanadium Water (VW) on Cancer related Fatigue of Non-advanced Cancer Patients. Methods : Experimental Group Administration. Participants in treatment group consumed three 500 ml/bottle bottles of Jeju Island's VW, which contains 40.2 ${\mu}g/L$ of vanadium, three times a day (morning, afternoon, evening) for 4 weeks (28 days) without any additional treatments for fatigue improvement. The control group participants consumed three 500 ml/bottle bottles of ordinary water (0 ${\mu}g/L$ of vanadium) three times a day for the same period of time without any additional treatments for fatigue improvement. Results : After 4 weeks of VW consumption, total score of Revised Piper Fatigue Scale (RPFS) was reduced 30% and basal score after Fisher's Exact Test resulted statistical borderline significance (p=0.0799) and result of t-test of comparison between two groups' RPFS total score and fatigue cognitive/mood changes resulted statistical significance (p=0.0112). In detail, only 36.4% of control group (N=11) showed improvement while 77.8% of treatment group (N=9) showed fatigue improvement and thyroid hormone level changes. No other lab measures indicated any significant differences between two groups. Conclusion : Daily consumption of 1.5 L of Vanadium water for 4 weeks showed improvement of non-advanced cancer patients' fatigue.
