This study is the study desiring to solve the problem by utilizing the kinds of recycled resources considered to be troubled complementarily. Namely the reaction of potential hydraulicity of Blast Furnace Slag Powder (BS) shall be reacted with the alkali of Recycled Fine Aggregates Coarse Aggregate, it has been experimented to obtain the optimum value with the replacement ratio of incineration plant ash (WA) treated with the slaked lime as the experiment variable by solving the alkali of shortage with the Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). As a result, the liquidity and the air volume are declined slightly as the replacement ratio of incineration plant ash WA increases, the mixture of incineration plant ash WA 1% has been analyzed to be the most suitable considering the viewpoint of effective handling of waste as the compression and the tensile strength showed the maximum value before and after 1% even though it was disadvantageous with the increase of chloride content.
The chlorine component in fly ash from municipal solid waste incineration ash was removed by water washing for the purpose of recycling fly ash as a raw material of ordinary portland cement. The samples were a different kind of 리y ashes using $Ca(OH)_2$and NaOH as media of wet scrubber for flue gas cleaning. The content of soluble salts of fly ash using $Ca(OH)_2$and NaOH was 32.8%, 50.1% and the content of chlorine component, 22.9% and 26.0% respectively, which was KCl, NaCl, CaC1OH mainly. When each fly ash was washed using water under conditions of a agitation speed of 300 rpm, a liquid to solid ratio of 10, most soluble salts in fly ash were dissolved within 30 minutes and the content of chlorine component in ash was diminished to the content of 4.4%, 2.O% at $20^{\circ}C$ and 1.7%, 0.8% at $50^{\circ}C$ respectively. And the main compound of residual chlorine component in ash after water washing was friedel`s salt ($3CaO.A1_2$$O_3$.$CaCl_2$.$10H2$O). From analysis results of water quality for wastewater by water washing, the components exceeding discharged wastewater standard were only Pb and Cd. But As pH was controlled to 10 with addition of $CO_2$(g) or $Na_2$$_CO3$in water, the concentration of heavy metals such as Pb and Cd was also under discharged wastewater standard.
A life cycle impact assessment was applied in an industrial waste incineration plant to evaluate the direct and indirect environmental impacts based on toxicity and non-toxicity categories. The detailed life cycle inventory of material and energy inputs and emission outputs was compiled based on the realistic data collected from a local industrial waste incineration plant, and the Korean life cycle inventory and ecoinvent database. The functional unit was the treatment of 1 tonne of industrial waste by incineration and the system boundary included the incineration plant and landfilling of ash. The result on the variation of the impact by the unit processes showed that the direct impact was decreased by 79.3, 71.6, and 90.1% for the processes in a semi dry reactor, bag filter, and wet scrubber, respectively. Considering the final impact produced from stack, the toxicity categories comprised 91.7% of the total impact. Among the toxicity impact categories, the impact in the eco-toxicity category was most significant. A separate estimation of the impact due to direct and indirect emissions showed that the direct impact was 97.7% of the total impact. The steam recovered from the waste heat of the incineration plant resulted in a negative environmental burden.

An experimental investigation was carried out to evaluate the mechanical properties of concrete mixtures in which coarse aggregate was partially (30, 50 or 70 %) replaced with pre-washed municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) bottom ash. Results indicated that bottom ash reduced the compressive strength, elastic modulus, and levels of heavy metals in leachate when used as a replacement for gravel, and that the maximum amount of MSWI bottom ash in concrete should not exceed 50 %. To analyze the effect mechanism of bottom ash in concrete, the degree of hydration and the following pozzolanic reaction characterized by the pozzolanic activity index, and the porosity distribution in cement mortar. The study indicates that improved properties of concrete are not solely later strength gain and reduced levels of heavy metals in leachate but also the progression of pozzolanic reactions, where a dense structure contains a higher proportion of fine pores that are related to durability.

A large amount of combustible household waste are incinerated on a large scale. Incineration ashes including flooring and scattering materials are generated in the incineration facilities. The incineration materials (flooring and scattering) are generated 16.5% of the total amount ashes brought into the incinerator. The amount of incineration materials decrease the landfill period of existing landfills and increase the needs for the construction of new landfills. This study introduces technical and institutional suggestions to solve increasing incineration ash problem by recycling them. As a technical recycling method, incineration materials can be recycled by producing earthwork materials and concrete products. In addition, the government and local governments will be able to promote recycling by improving related laws such as the Waste Management Act and by preparing active institutional support measures such as incentives for recycling companies for Green New Deal strategies.
This study was carried out to estimate leaching characteristics of incineration residues from municipal solid waste incinerators, and determine organic compounds in raw ash, leaching water and leaching residue. A total of 44 organic compounds, which were analyzed by GC/MSD and identified by wiley library search, were contained in bottom ashes. A total of 17 organic compounds were contained in fly ashes. Bottom ash and fly ash were found to contain a wide range of organic compounds such as aliphatic compounds and aromatic compounds. Organic compounds such as Ethenylbenzene, Benzaldehyde, 1-Phenyl-Ethanone and 1,4-Benzenedicarboxylic acid dimethyl ester were detected in raw ash, leaching water and residues (from bottom ash). Organic compounds such as Naphthalene, Dodecane, 1,2,3,5-Tetrachlorobenzene, Tetradecane, Hexadecane and Pentachlorobenzene were detected in raw ash, leaching water and residues (from fly ash). Through the leaching characteristics of incineration residue, it was represented that the open dumping of incineration residue can contaminate the soil and undergroundwater. In order to prevent environmental contamination that derived from extremely toxic substances in the incineration residues, it is particularly important that the incineration residues should be treated before disposal the incineration residues. Further study and proper management about leaching characteristics of organic compounds might be required.

This pilot study focuses on emissions characterization of air pollutants produced from incineration of some municipal solid wastes (MSWs). The MSWs incinerated by an electric furnace maintained up to $600^{\circ}C$ included food, paper, and plastic wastes. The pollutants analyzed in this study included concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), bottom ash contents, and heavy metals extracted from the bottom ash of each waste. The VOCs identified were classified based on their chemical structure. The total emissions of VOCs produced from incineration of the papers were identified as the highest followed by those from the plastics and the food wastes. Aliphatic alkenes were major VOC compounds produced from incineration of plastic or food wastes, while furans were major VOCs produced from incineration of papers. The second major VOCs produced from incineration of food, plastics, and papers were aromatics. In particular, hazardous air pollutants such as benzene were produced with considerable amount of emission concentration. The bottom ash contents of papers were usually much higher than those of food or plastic wastes. The bottom ash contents produced from incineration of food and plastics were much lower than those of other MSWs. In analysis of heavy metals extracted by an ultrasonic method from the bottom ashes of the papers, high concentrations of heavy metals were identified from incineration of newspapers and box (cardboard). In addition, it was identified that the general public might be exposed to considerable amounts of lead concentrations during incineration processes and uses of paper cup and from ashes.

This study is for understanding the domestic possibilities of the high temperature incineration of waste containing Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) with the analysis of normal operation case and waste gas, fly ash, dioxin about bottom ash, Total-PCBs, Co-PCBs, and the for analysis the heavy metal leaching feature included by bottom ash and fly ash, heavy metal leaching experiment was implemented. The result shows the dioxin density of the waste gas from waste containing PCBs was $0.00699{\sim}0.00763ng-TEQ/Nm^3$, which is lower than $0.0192ng-TEQ/Nm^3$ from the normal operation case. And each Co-PCBs and total PCBs shows $0.00043{\sim}0.00112ng-TEQ/Nm^3$ and $3.06{\sim}3.87ng/m^3$ respectively. The bottom ash test result shows Dioxin 0.00225~0.00630ng-TEQ/g, Co-PCBs 0.00027~0.00082ng-TEQ/g, Total PCBs 0.9~2.6ng/g, and the fly ash shows Dioxin 0.00164~0.00344ng-TEQ/g, Co-PCBs 0.00053~0.00054ng-EQ/g, Total PCBs 0.64~0.84ng/g. The bottom ash and fly ash experiments for heavy metal leaching did not show any leaching but when it comes to the ingredients of the fly ash, Pb elements shows 31.01~237.7ppm, higher than leaching criterion. The analysis of the density of all air pollution material from the waste gas shows the lower value than permissible criterion.
