Autogenous Shrinkage of Concrete Containing Blast-Furnace Slag (고로 슬래그를 함유한 콘크리트의 자기 수축)

  • Concrete with low water to binder ratio (W/B) is prone to large autogenous shrinkage. Early age cracking of concrete would be caused by tensile stress induced by large autogenous shrinkage under restrained condition. Therefore, it is necessary to measure autogenous shrinkage to control the early age cracking of concrete. An objective of this study is to investigate the effects of W/B and blast furnace slag (BFS) on autogenous shrinkage of concrete. Autogenous shrinkage of concrete with various W/B ranging from 0.42 to 0.27 and BFS contents of 0, 30 and 50% were measured. Test results show that the autogenous shrinkage of concrete increases as the W/B decreases, and all BFS concretes showed larger autogenous shrinkage than OPC concretes with the same W/B. Moreover, the higher BFS content, the larger autogenous shrinkage.

  • We propose a new interference cancellation algorithm for W-CDMA repeater. The proposed algorithm uses the parallel multiple sub-filters instead of one long filter. We justify that convergence rate can be improved by using the proposed algorithm. The improvement of convergence rate is verified in a practical benchmark test condition.

Effects of Upset Pressure on Weldability in the Friction Welding of Cu to Cu-W Sintered Alloy (동-텅스텐 소결합금(Cu-W)과 동(Cu)의 마찰용접 특성에 미치는 업셋압력의 영향에 관한 연구)

  • A copper-tungsten sintered alloy(Cu-W) has been friction welded to a tough pitch copper in order to investigate the effect of upset pressure on friction weldability. Under the condition of friction time 0.8sec, upset pressure 150MPa, the tensile strength and Charpy impact value of the friction welded joint were 336MPa, $400KJ/m^2$ respectively. And highest temperature of the weld measured was below $800^{circ}K$ which is very lower than melting point of Cu($1356^{circ}K$). Under the same conditions, W grains picked up in Cu matrix from Cu-W profitably affected on these mechanical fracture, and were dispersed in Cu by plastic flow during brake time.

  • 국내 S/W 벤치마크테스트는 일반적으로 각 제품의 기능별, 성능별 비교분석을 통해 제품의 장단점을 파악하는 것이 주된 목적이었다. 기존 벤치마크테스트의 산출물은 시험항목별 결과와 비교 분석 결과이다. 최근에는 동종 제품들 중에서 특정 목적에 가장 적합한 제품을 선택하기 위한 수단으로 벤치마크테스트 결과가 사용되기도 한다. 이러한 특수한 목적의 벤치마크테스트는 기존 산출물 이외에 특정 목적에 가장 적합한 제품이 무엇인지 판단할 수 있는 순위표가 추가된다. 최근의 새로운 요구사항을 반영하기 위해서는 새로운 S/W 벤치마크테스트 평가모델이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 벤치마크테스트와 구분되는 소비자의 새로운 요구를 만족시킬 수 있는 S/W 벤치마크테스트 평가모델 개발 이슈에 대해 연구하고 있다.

  • In this study, we evaluated the dilute HF Cleaning to reduce residual defects made by W CMP process. But, One point we should focus is It should not effect to metal thin film reliability. The purpose of this test is to verify barrier metal damage during HF cleaning and based on this result we get rid of slurry residue defect which is main defect of W CMP process for the better yield.

  • This paper investigated the effect of W/C and the kinds of cement on the chloride invasion resistance of the offshore concrete. W/C set up 0.30, 0.35, 0.40 and The kinds of cement were used four(ordinary portland cement, ground granulated blast-furnace slag cement, belite cement, low heat portland cement). For the electrical migration test, NT BUILD 492's method was used to estimate the migration coefficient of chloride ion. As a result, the migration coefficients of chloride ion of concrete according to w/c were shown reducing with the w/c increasing, and according to kinds of cement were shown discrepancy in chloride invasion resistance. Especially blast-furnace slag cement was most low it. In the each cement, the compressive strength was shown related to the migration coefficient.

  • Tracking and detecting targets by the M/W seeker is affected by the clutter reflecting from the earth's surface. In order to detect the look-down retreating targets, which appear in the sidelobe clutter region, in the M/W seeker of High PRF mode, it is necessary to understand statistical characteristics of the surface sidelobe clutter. Statistical analysis of sidelobe clutter is conducted for several configurations of the surface using data obtained by the CFT (Captive Flight Test) of the M/W seeker in High PRF mode. The probability density function(PDF) fitting is conducted for several configuration and conditions of the surface. PDFs and PDF parameters, which best describe statistical distribution of sidelobe clutter, are estimated.

A Study on Efficient Methods of Using Land Engine in the Small Fishing Vessel (소형 어선에서 육상용기관의 효율적인 이용방법에 대한 연구)

  • A study on the performance and exhaust emissions of diesel engine with reducing exhaust gas temperature is performed experimentally. In this paper, experiments are performed at engine speed 2200rpm, 2600rpm and load 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% by test engine with F.W. cooler passing through exhaust gas. Main measured & analyzed parameters are exhaust gas temperature, specific fuel consumption, NOx and soot emissions etc. The obtained conclusions are as follows. (1) Specific fuel consumption is the least value at load 75% and it is decreased 1.5% after remodeling F.W. cooler. (2) NOx emission is the most value at load 100% and it is increased 30.1% after remodeling F.W. cooler. (3) Soot emission is the most value at load 100% and it is decreased 20.0% after remodeling F.W. cooler.

  • The deep-sea miner is the tracked vehicle system which drives on the deep-seabed and gathers a manganese nodules. The miner is operated by remote control in real-time by the station of surface vessel. So operating S/W is a important part of miner remote operating. At present, the test miner has been designed and manufactured for near-shore sea-test. The test miner consists of mechanical parts, and electric-electronic parts. Because those parts should be controled and monitored remotely, operating S/W for control and monitoring is necessary by all means. In this paper, real-time operating S/W for a control and monitoring of the test miner was designed and developed using PXI, embedded controller and LabVIEW. This real-time operating S/W was developed for an efficient test of test miner in a near seabed area. Moreover, database management system(DBMS) was developed too for the data management of test miner monitoring using MS SQL and LabVIEW.

Computational assessment of blockage and wind simulator proximity effects for a new full-scale testing facility

  • A new full scale testing apparatus generically named the Wall of Wind (WoW) has been built by the researchers at the International Hurricane Research Center (IHRC) at Florida International University (FIU). WoW is capable of testing single story building models subjected up to category 3 hurricane wind speeds. Depending on the relative model and WoW wind field sizes, testing may entail blockage issues. In addition, the proximity of the test building to the wind simulator may also affect the aerodynamic data. This study focuses on the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) assessment of the effects on the quality of the aerodynamic data of (i) blockage due to model buildings of various sizes and (ii) wind simulator proximity for various distances between the wind simulator and the test building. The test buildings were assumed to have simple parallelepiped shapes. The computer simulations were performed under both finite WoW wind-field conditions and in an extended Atmospheric Boundary Layer (ABL) wind flow. Mean pressure coefficients for the roof and the windward and leeward walls served as measures of the blockage and wind simulator proximity effects. The study uses the commercial software FLUENT with Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes equations and a Renormalization Group (RNG) k-${\varepsilon}$ turbulence model. The results indicated that for larger size test specimens (i.e. for cases where the height of test specimen is larger than one third of the wind field height) blockage correction may become necessary. The test specimen should also be placed at a distance greater than twice the height of the test specimen from the fans to reduce proximity effect.
